I went to see Jacob after 9 months of COVID growth and nasty roots. Jacob took my disaster hair and made it so beautiful and blonde for such a fair price. Couldn’t be more impressed with the attention to detail he gave. So impressed and couldn’t be happier! Also, Cynthia is excellent! Listens to what you wants and takes her time yet you don't need to devote a whole day to a hair cut. Non cliquey environment and friendly staff. Really you can’t go wrong here. Thankful to have found this place!

Called them last minuet on a Saturday at 1pm to repair a bad haircut. They fit me in that same day with a junior stylist .. I was a worried the junior stylist might not have the talent or experience needed to deal with my mess . However my junior stylist * Melissa * listened very carefully to what I wanted and how exactly I style and ware my hair ....All I can say is SHAZAMMM! I love my new cut! Fantastic job getting a rats nest of straw dead looking hair to look like something out of a magazine. Thank you Melissa and the nice staff at Carbon Sincerely Angie D.

My daughter had a cut and colour with excellent results. My daughter's hair is very thick and can be a bit difficult to cut and style. Cynthia did a great job! I had my hair cut by Jasmine, who did an awesome job fixing a poor cut from another salon. The atmosphere is comfortable. The staff are super friendly and the coffee was pretty good, too. We've decided to become regular customers based on this visit.

I asked for layers with a V shape in the back and got two layers. Just... Two layers. A blatant chop above my shoulders then the back is long. No gradual change in lenth... Junior stylist, but still.. come on... She didn't ask what i wanted before going at it, I had to to tell her. Awkwardly silent experience. I also tipped the girl like 35% :(

I've visited many salons and I've never had the pleasure of having my hair done by such an excellent team. The hairdressers at Carbon Hair Studio are experts in their craft (both junior and senior stylists!) and take the time to understand what you're really looking for in your hair design. I've had ombre hair done here several times and each time it looks flawless and natural. Carbon Hair Studio is a bit more expensive but more than make up for it with their excellent service, expertise, and free bang cuts between haircuts! I look forward to visiting again in the future.

GO SEE CYNTHIA NOW - She will rock your world. But really, I have been going to Carbon for a few years now after a recommendation from a friend and I have nothing but good things to say! Cynthia is absolutely amazing, she listens and gives you what you want. If you aren't completely satisfied she will make it her personal endeavour to make you happy by the time you leave! I have had everything from long-short, brown to blonde and lots in between - She can do it. Unfortunately, yet another salon that will flip flop between prices. Be ready to be surprised! Same year you can pay $180 for full head of highlights and low lights plus cut and then pay $170 for half head of highlights, low lights and no cut... lesson learned, always ask for the price before letting a stylist touch your hair, if you don’t ask it seems like you don’t care and you will be overcharged...

Took my daughter in today to get a nice haircut ( she wanted a bob) and we came out with the back long and one side longer then the other Doesn't look good at all I told her that the back needs to be short and the front long but the girl didn't listen to me So know I have to pay more money to get it fixed Not right and not what we asked for????

I had called 24hrs in advance to explain since I have a last minute meeting the next day that I may be about 10-15min late for my appointment. This unfortunately was not good enough for them since they double & triple book themselves and wanted to reschedule. I advised them that I indeed booked a minimum 2hr time slot to have color done and I could not see how 15min could be a big issue(usually hairdressers have a 10-15min client window regardless.). I was not impressed and decided to take my business elsewhere.

I have been going to Carbon for many years now as well as my children! Melissa is our stylist and she is amazing, my kids love her. She is so patient and always goes above and beyond whenever we are there. All the stylist are friendly and welcoming. I love seeing how they work together as a team helping each other when they can. Prices are fair compare to other salons. They are always accommodating and able to often work around my schedule. Love this salon!!!

I can't say enough good things about Carbon! I have been going there for cuts the past few years but this past summer started to play around with colour. Cynthia has coloured my hair the past two times I have gone. In June, she did a beautiful rose gold colour for me and now a dimensional sangria berry colour. What generally ruins my experience at a salon is when I go somewhere and get hardly any feedback about colours or changes I want. I rely a lot on my stylists opinion because they are the hair expert not me. With Cynthia, I can go in with several different photos and then she helps me pick what will be easy to maintain and what will match with my natural hair and skin tone. The salon also has such a lovely positive atmosphere. I was there for about two hours and during that time I could see how lovely the other stylists were interacting with their clients and with each other. It is really comfortable for anyone who may be intimidated by the atmosphere that other salons often have. I have tried a few places in Guelph, but Carbon is definitely the best service I have received. I will continue to go here as long as Guelph is my home and have recommended to friends over and over.

If you need a haircut “FAST” welcome to go there. $38 for woman cut and style, finishes within 10 minutes ,no hair wash and style after cut. During the cut , the stylist kept turned customer to the left side so customer can not see the mirror and never see how she has been cut. At the end, she got cut too short no chance to change and not looks nice. My wife is so disappointed. My little girl cost $17, just 5 minutes and like no change, why I need to spend $17 dollars for nothing and got what I can do at home for my kid. Wish you a prosperous business

I had a wonderful experience getting my hair coloured & cut at Carbon. They have re-opened since COVID closures with excellent safety measures in place. Everything is very clean, distanced, and signage is good. They have spaced appointments apart to ensure client safety, which is I'm sure a difficult but necessary measure. My hair looks fantastic, much thanks to Cynthia. I also was happy that they are blow-drying (which to me, is not a concern- we are all in masks!) as the majority of the fine haircut work is done dry.

Chris is A+++ he really knows what he is doing I have very tight curls and is the only one that could style my hair to have it straightened without being frizzy and it lasts so long :) He also cuts amazing! Super happy with Chris's skills! Very friendly and welcoming salon!

Melena cut my little guy's hair, but he was pretty upset so she wasn't able to get the back and sides. She said we could come back any time and anyone could fix it for us. We came back the following morning and spoke to Maria who offered a few times to come back, but my none of those times worked for us and I didn't want to wait because my little guy's hair really did look horrible. She could have quickly just taken my son and fixed his hair and apologized to her other client, but she didn't seem like she wanted to help us. I dragged my two kids (1 & 3 yrs old) to Stone Rd Mall and thankfully the barbershop there fixed his hair free of charge. I've been going to Carbon for three years and my little guy has been going for almost a year, but sadly we won't be going back after this.

Maria, Maria, Maria! I recently moved to Guelph and I am very very picky about my hair! I have moved all over and have driven hours back to my original hair salon because I like my hair the way I like it. Carbon Hair Studio was highly recommended to me specifically Maria so I reluctantly gave them a try and was I ever surprised! Maria is an artist with my hair the cut was perfect and I've never been so happy with my color! Maria and the rest of the staff are so friendly and professional...I left feeling gorgeous and special. They are my new salon and I highly recommend them to everyone.
