I've never had a bad cut here. That said, I haven't had a GOOD one in a little while now. They only take cash, but they seem to fully understand the fact that this is unusual in the 21st century and are more than happy to let you sneak out to a nearby bank and come back to pay them.

I've been going to Black & White Barbers for years and they provide the most consistent product and service quality of any barbershop here in Guelph. Extremely friendly, relaxed environment with a comfortable waiting room. There can be lines but that's to be expected when the service is as good as it is here. Reasonably priced. Please follow the appointment timings if you book someone with appointment plz take appointment as priority else plz don’t book appointment at all. Today I visited at 12 as I had appointment booked at 12 was there for 40 min and left by 12:40 as could not wait for hours. If someone is understanding your time booking advance appointment you also need to understand their time.

Personally my favourite barber in town, at least of the ones I've tried over the years. Clean environment, quick service, sharp newer tools and just the right mix of personability and professionalism that is tricky to find in barbers, all at a reasonable price in my opinion. Would definitely recommend!

First off, I've been growing my beard for 14 months now, and came here to get it trimmed for the first time. Not only was this guy completely unsociable, but he completely messed up my beard. It's is terribly uneven now, not to mention he sliced my head open with a straight razor then proceeded to pretend like it didn't happen. All the while this guy hasn't said one word to me aside from asking what I wanted done(which he did the opposite of), but had no problem conversing with all his buddy's hanging out in the shop(maybe they work there too, but there were a few people in line and these guys were just sitting around doing nothing). I would not recommend this shop. I paid $25 to get my head shaved and beard trimmed when I could have stayed home and messed it up myself. Don't come here, especially if you value your beard.

They hands down beat salons that charge $10 more and the results put those swanky places to shame. Couldn't be happier. I've been searching for a decent haircut in Guelph for a long time. This was my first haircut here, I showed the barber a picture from a previous haircut and he immediately understood what I was looking for. Worked efficiently around the mask and overall did a great job. Best haircut I've had since my previous barber retired and I can say without a doubt I'll be making this my regular. They are cash only so remember to hit an ATM first.

Not a good experience. I asked for a comb-over style, and for a #1 shave on the sides. The guy was very pushy about doing a fade when I told him my hair is too thin and doesn't show a fade so it's not worth it to me. The guy ended up just taking the buzzers to the top of my hair leaving it too short to comb over, and style. It just stuck up. Extremely disappointing when I had to start a new job now with a terrible haircut that I couldn't do anything about. I would give -5 stars but that's not possible. Never again will I go here. Not worth it!

The treatment here is wonderful, the haircuts match. I've never felt unwelcome entering this establishment and have always been warmly greeted. The owner and staff are all very competent at their job and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure you like your haircut. Prices are reasonable but they only take cash which is what loses the fifth star. Prepare to leave looking and feeling amazing.

I have been to a lot of different barber shops but these guys do it like no one else. I have a mullet and right when you think all they do is fades, he pulls out the scissors and gives you that perfect trim. Will be returning shortly.

Horrible! I specifically told him not to lower my beard line up, showed him a video and he still managed to completely screw it up. Not only was the experience bad the barber himself wouldn’t own up to his own mistake. My line on my beard looks like a zig zag, or a mountain. Absolutely none sense. Took an hour to get a haircut that I could’ve gotten from a homeless man. If you value your money or time.... if you have any self respect you won’t dare to go here. Now I have to go shave my beard myself, because I’m to embarrassed to step outside. This is the first time I am writing a review, and I always think people make honest mistakes however, this was ridiculous. I went from a gorgeous beard to this... do not take my word for it, see the photos....

Waited a long time for a haircut just to have others being serviced before me. Then was told I need to wait another 20 minutes after they finally realized I have beed waiting for over 30 minutes. Really nice place! Barbers are super friendly and the wait was minimal. 18 dollars for my kids hair, I was thought was steep. But when i showed the barber a picture of the hair I wanted for my son, the haircut was legit exact! I will be going there myself now.

Amazing. I had let my hair grow for over 4 months due to Corona Virus, and finally went to get a haircut. They were super welcoming, but the best part is the quality and effort the barber put into my hair cut. Was an incredible experience, the hair cut looks absolutely stunning. It was the best hair cut I have every gotten in my life. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this place to everyone in Guelph.

Hair cut is quality, the wait is not. You are easily waiting for 45+ minutes because, at any given time, there is only 1 barber working and 4 people ahead of you. Also, they don't take appointments so you have to get lucky with your timing

These guys gave a perfectly mediocre haircut. Get you in and out at a cheap price but the result is that when I got home I realized they missed some spots and had to bring out the scissors and trim the 4 spots where there was long hairs that were missed. It’s what you get for a $20 haircut. Staff were friendly and talkative if you started a convo.

I asked for a trim The barber initially Cut my hair to a reasonable length but in the process of trying to make everything even continued to trim and trim and trim until there was almost nothing left I went in hoping for a simple trim and left with an extremely short haircut I did not ask for The haircut I asked for was certainly not complicated, in fact I don’t know how you can make it any simpler This was something someone on his first day out of Barber College should’ve been able to complete

Came in. Sat down. Was done under 10 minutes. Literally not even 10 minutes. After he was ‘done’ I asked for an additional touch up. Zero effort was put into it. The whole time the barber was rushing as if he was late for something. Absolute joke. Never again ????
