First time at this salon and I must say I will be for sure coming again! they did a wonderful job with my hair. I love my hair and only trust it with my aunt (who is also a hair dresser) but I wanted to change things up. I ended up with a beautiful dye job and excellent customer service. I will be coming again and be telling all my friends where I got my hair done. Excellent job ladies!!

Apple salon is incredibly expensive. The people are nice but the service is not worth the price. My hair was coloured wrong the first time so I had to wait another half hour to dye my hair again. Getting my hair cut and coloured took 3 hours in total. My haircut was choppy and not at all what I had asked for so I have to pay someone else to get my hair cut right again...Apple salon has costed me over $200 for dye and cut. The hair colour was done good though I'll give them that much.

Everything that I was looking to be done, was done to the TEA. My girl, Kate, did such an amazing job! She was so nice, informative, and helpful during the entire process. She made it look so effortless. Not only her, but the rest of the staff were absolutely sweet and they even took care of my dog while I was getting my hair done. They are such gems and my hair went from dark, dark, dark brown to a beautiful soft, ashy brown. I’m in love with everything that they do, and I cannot wait to come back again!

Shout out to Lindsay who saved my hair. They took me in for a last min apt and fixed my hair one day before a wedding. My hair was originally purple orange pink and brown. It was dead and they brought it back to life. One of the most amazing colour corrections I have ever had. I posted pics of my hair to show how incredible the change was. I’m with Michelle – Apple Salon is second to none. I come in from Kitchener-Waterloo to get my hair done. I come in for colour, cuts and long hair club treatments frequently. Emma is the only person I trust my locks with - she is truly a colour master. If you’re looking for ombre, beliage, etc, Emma is your girl. The Staff is committed to ongoing education which keeps their skills up to date and trends on point. I love that Apple is so committed to their community as well through fundraisers like cut-a-thons as least once a year. I highly recommend this salon to anyone in the area. I get compliments on my hair often and love sending new clients to my girls at Apple Salon!!

Everyone at Apple Salon is awesome! All of the staff are very friendly and have always made me feel very comfortable and welcome! Ceilidh has been doing my hair for about two years and I am super happy with it! She listens exceptionally well to my concerns and what I'm looking for and also is honest in providing feedback. Yesterday I joined the styling workshop, it was super fun and I learned a lot of skills too! We even got a gift to take home! Amazing, I would recommend them to anyone!

I moved to Guelph 21 years ago. Throughout the year I went to numerous Salons in Guelph only to be unhappy and disappointed by the outcome of my haircut and/or colour as the stylist was not listening to my requests as I'm very particular with my hair . Then I was referred to Iside by a new friend I had met . :D Iside not only listens to me she gives me great/honest advice as to what colours and cuts would look best on me. In the 20years that she has been my stylist I have never been disappointed. I always leave Apple Salon looking and feeling young and beautiful .<3 Now that Iside knows me so well when I go in for my appointment I just say "do your magic". And she does. :D xxoo

Kate SAVED my trainwreck of a lockdown box dye disaster. I box dyed dark brown over previously bleached hair and then used colour remover on my hair and got a patchy mix of ginger, brunette and yellow. In one session Kate took me to a full light seamless blonde and its still healthy! srsly go here if ur gunna go blonde!

First time coming to this awesome salon for a men's haircut. The staff was superb. Charlotte cut my hair and it was perfect. I haven't had a hair cutter with as great of service and skill as she cut my hair style better than anyone else ever has. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Bravo!!

Hands down best place to go for hair… from the moment you walk into the shop you’re greeted by smiles and cheerful hello’s… the staff is wonderful and the owner has provided years of excellent service! My hair dresser was really knowledgeable and showed me a few different hair styles as she cut my hair down and she was super friendly i really enjoyed being offered a drink as i walked in. the only thing i didn't like was the creaking doors and floors. My hair was done perfectly the way i wanted and although my highlights were fewer then what i normally get it looks really good. I tell my friends about this place if you're wondering where to go to get you're hair seriously try this place over a big franchise like first choice

I've had my hair coloured by Kate several times over the past year and a half, and every time the cut and colour is beautiful and my hair feels so healthy! The first picture is from when Kate fixed my hair after I had a bad experience at another salon. The second picture is my most recent cut & balayage! I love the way she always blends the colour perfectly and takes her time to style it beautifully. I highly highly recommend Kate, she is so sweet and talented!

My daughter is a student at Guelph U and went to this salon. They made such a mess of her hair it will take months for another salon to fix what they have done. Her hi-lites were not processed properly and they bled into chunks of yellow/orange into her otherwise beautiful hair. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. They have no business calling themselves colour specialists. What they did to her is a disgrace. Don't be fooled by the salon - I have never seen any salon distroy someones hair in the way that this salon did. I know this review is scathing - but trust me they deserve it.

This is a great place for colour and hair cuts. The owner, Isidee, is fantastic! Very friendly, sensitive, and attentive service. Charming atmosphere, located in a lovely century historic building. The salon is cleaned regularly and carefully follows Covid protocols to ensure safety of customers. I highly recommend Apple Salon!

I have been having my hair coloured by this salon for over twenty years and never, not once, had a bad experience. In fact quite the opposite. In fact for 5 years when I lived in B.C every time I was making a trek to Guelph I would call and make an appointment. Iside is a consummate mentor and teacher with very high standards and passionate about her craft and the experience of all her customers. Amanda I am sorry your daughter had a bad experience, but your 'scathing' review feels like a one off and not a standard for this truly professional salon. The other reviews I read are much like mine. Apple Salon gets my high recommendation every time!!

Just wow! My usual salon did not make it through covid and I was nervous to go somewhere else especially since I planned to go from dark brown to blonde. I am so happy my coworker recommended Apple Salon! Kate was amazing and so patient. I was there for 3.5 hours and not once did she make me feel like she was anything less than happy to be there. Somehow she was able to make my now bleached and toned hair to feel healthier than when I went in. I could not recommend them more!

I agree with the other girls. I also come from out of town specifically to have Emma cut my hair. I have had nothing but exceptional service from the girls at Apple. Not only are they all friendly, they certainly know what they're doing. The constant education that the girls get is clearly evident, as I always leave the salon with a haircut that is on trend and that I absolutely LOVE. I have gone to several other salons in the past and have left with an indifference towards the haircut I had received. Now that I've been to Apple, I won't trust anyone else with my hair. I go in with an idea and fully trust the girls to run with it and make it look 10x better than I envisioned it.

Apple Salon was one of the only salons that could cut my hair in Guelph. I have been to a number of other salons who said they could it... But yet, none were successful. Not only did they do an exceptional job, but the service, atmosphere, and employees were amazing. To top it off, they also offered me coffee, tea, or a cold beverage!!! I have to disagree strongly with Amanda. I live in Toronto and come into Guelph; just to get my hair done at Apple Salon. Not only do they do an amazing job with cut and colour, all the girls are amazing. My mother went to the salon (until she passed away in February), every Friday, not because she needed to have her hair done every week, but it was because of the girls. She was treated like a queen and felt incredible every time she left, it was a social event for her and they always did an incredible job - her hair had never looked so good as it did in the past three years going to Apple. Every time I go in the salon I am offered a coffee, tea or water and I always know I am in good hands. I usually go to the owner of the salon, however, if she can't fit me in - I am more than happy to have the other amazing girls do my hair. I highly recommend this salon to anyone. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!

The first time I visited Apple, the stylist was super nice and attentive. The second time I went back, I had to wait for about 20-30 minutes before she was ready for me. I understand these things happen, but I didn’t even get a “sorry for running late” once she saw me. When she did and she called me over, I could immediately tell she wasn’t in a good mood. She made no attempt at conversation and wasn’t the nice and attentive person I had met the first time. We all have bad days, again understandable - but she didn’t listen to what I wanted and I was left with a cut I didn’t like. I also had hair all over my clothes, neck, and face after the appointment because she didn’t take any care when removing the cape over me. Odd.

I decided to try Apple as a new salon. Going in, my first impression is they really don’t care to clean the floor. When you walk in you sit in a chair to wait, right under someone cutting hair with no glass barrier to stop the hair from falling on you, I wanted to puke. They have shower curtains put up to separate things, behind the counter is a mess. I told my hairstylist I wanted a full colour, which should be the most simple thing for a hairstylist- new or old. My stylist told Me she would do a full colour, and as I’m sitting there I can see the dye isn’t even covering all of my hair. I didn’t say anything because I trusted her that it was all going to blend (she’s my hairstylist and she can see the colour better than me). After she washed my hair, I could still see all the old colour in my hair and I asked her why is it still light when it’s suppose to cover my entire head?!? She then said she would re do it after I was already there for 2.5 hours and had to go, I told her I would pay for my roots and that’s it. I just think it’s insane a hairstylist can’t even do a full colour.

I appreciate the effort that my stylist put in during my second appointment to fix my hair. Unfortunately, I feel like we were on different pages from the start of my first appointment. I was very clear about what look I wanted with several pictures of exactly that, but the outcome was much different. I would have appreciated some consultation on how short the cut would be prior to making the first cut or at least some notification that my neck was going to be shaved - that was not something that we had discussed at all. If you're someone looking for bright blonde balayage/highlights, make sure you interject if the stylist wants to remove foils after 15 min, as this happened during both of my appointments and my hair is not nearly as bright as I had asked for. The salon does use nice, clean products and they have many skilled stylist, but I think understanding what a client wants and making decisions with them throughout the appointment is something that was definitely lacking in my experience here.

I have been a customer at Apple Salon for a few years now and although I live in Toronto, the drive to Guelph is worth it for the quality hair cuts. The staff are extremely friendly: upon arrival you are greeted and offered a hot/cold beverage, the hair cuts are consistent and consistently on-point, the space is clean and warm and the products are top of the line. I have curly frizzy hair and this is the only place that has cut it properly.
