Quick, cheap and decent service. I have had no issues though my hairstyle is fairly simple. I would recommend the location for anyone looking for a simple haircut or a haircut for their children. Walk in, I guess that’s the first problem. Wait time 47 minutes. Ok we’ll kill some time, leave our name, come back in 1/2 hour no line, we are next on the check in board another hour later and three online check-ins later we finally get into a chair, only after getting bumped by three onlines. I went in with a picture of the cut I wanted. Asked if the employee could do it and she assured me that she could. I came out it wasn't even close o what I asked for and she butchered my bangs. What a horrible experience. I gave her the chance to say whether she could or could not do it, just be honest instead of having an unhappy customer. Had an awful trim the other day, woman wouldn't listen to a word I was saying, ignored what I wanted, took less than ten minutes to trim my hair. Plus, was overheard discussing with a colleague how long it had been since I was there last, highly unprofessional.

I always get my hair cut here and it's always looking great but then today i got my haircut and it's really disappointing that the lady doesn't even have any idea on what she's doing. I noticed that my hair was not even, there's still some long strands that annoys me on my side burns. I'm really disappointed that I even paid $26.25 and I'm not even satisfied with the hair cut that she did.

Horrible place, they had no knowledge of any haircut terminology, completely ruined my hair since my regular barber was out of town. Already overpriced in contrast to other barbers and they still only spend about 15 minutes on your hair, and 10 of those minutes are used talking about which shampoo and what to ask a normal barber next time I come. When it came to payment, I was forced to tip at least 15% even though I was planning on walking out as soon as I sat down after realizing that my barber at the time had no idea what she was talking about. Never coming back again, do yourself a favour and don't waste your time or your hard earned money at this place.

I was here for my haircut and I happened to meet Jessica who did my haircut. She was too frustrated when I was giving her instructions about how to cut and how exactly how I wanted. She was rude when I repeatedly instructing her to cut it as I wanted. I never wanna go here again just because of her and her attitude. I would recommend the management to kindly look into this.

Dealt with someone named Shannon. Three times I tried to simply tell her my son didn’t want to lose any length from his hair and that he just wanted his hair layered very slightly. Each time she cut me off and would not let me tell her how his hair was to be cut. She also called him a girl when clearly his name and appearance did not match her assumption. She saw he had some length to his hair and just assumed that he was a female. I will never return here again. Very rude!!!

I nornally come here and get my hair done by 1 person only however she wasn't in today ( great stylist btw ) and considering I was already at the establiahment I went through with getting my hair done by somebody else. I went here for a touch up. The lady did a good job, mostly used the electric shears versus my standard place which will use electric shears, standard scissors, thinning scissors and a razor. There is currently a walk-in special until April. Regular price for a men's hair cut is 18.99 (January 2018). There is a Great Clips app available on iTunes and the Google Play store to determine how busy the store is, but you cannot book an appointment with the app (yet?). Talking to the lady, she advised that the slowest time of the day is after 7pm on Monday to Friday.

7/31/2019 Was just there after booking online through my pc. They close at 9:00pm and I was there at about 8:30. It was around 7:17pm when I booked. They had no record of my booking on their system which they found out after sitting me in the chair and prepping me for my simple brush cut. The one lady was shouting that she didn't want more bookings because she wanted to go home so I got out of the chair after telling them several times that I had booked. I told them I would lodge an online complaint instead and she shouted go ahead as I was leaving.. I then left. The lady was extremely rude to the point that she demanded I show her my booking with my phone. I told her I booked through my pc and she yelled that I should show her my name on their system. What ever happened to good customer service and appreciation for us giving them the business so they can keep their jobs?

Less expensive cuts than other area places. No coloring services offered here. Usually in and out in 15 to 20 minutes once in the chair. You can check in ahead using their App and can also see how long of a wait at multiple locations so you can choose where you want to check in.

I had a few bad ones but this is the worst haircut. I had to do a buzz cut to fix it that night. I usually go on a Friday after work and this Filipina lady dose a great job. I went on a Thursday night because I work full time and school part time on Monday/Friday. This old lady was very nice but she can not cut hair. I am so angry I needed to write this review and recommend not going here.

Good hair cut for my boy. However as we were leaving he opened the door and cut his finger pretty bad it was bleeding and bruising as I'm writing this. The hair dresser have me a piece of paper towel and a bandaid I said thank you but she was looking at me as my son was crying in pain like why am I still there. I asked to used the washroom so he could run cold water on it. He kept saying it hurt so bad as he was in tears. As we were leaving again a different hair dresser asked quietly "is he ok". I said well we don't have to amputate it. Another hair dresser asked how it happened so he showed her but didn't say anything. Just looked at me and nodded her head. My son is 11 years old and he cried all the way home. I couldn't believe none of them really cared. Now his finger is getting worse. I'm going have to take him to a doctor to make sure nothing was broken or chipped unbelievable you would think him being a child they would be more sympathetic. They said nothing I would've thought they could have said we are sorry we will ha e the looked at. I'm very disappointed

Went to Great Clips on grand opening weekend. Had a great haircut from the girl from Lethbridge that was getting the operation up to speed. This girl has been with Great Clips for years and helps new stores open. Even better she gave me a great haircut. Just made it back home to Medicine Hat late on Dec 27th so decide to go get haircut on Dec 28th. Once inside, girl behind till was trying to register customer ahead of me in to que. The girl had a horribly hard time getting his name and phone entered even after he had repeated it 3 times to her. Then was my turn. I also had to repeat my phone number 3 times before she got it right. After waiting my turn, my name was called and I went and sat down in the chair with the girl that booked me in. Only 4 minutes later I was done and at the till to pay. Girl says, "that will be $21." I gave her a $50 dollar bill plus a loonie. I also put down a tip from change in my pockets. She proceeded to give me $29 dollars back in change. I explained that it should be $30 dollars as I gave her $51. After repeatedly trying to explain this to her, the manageress came over to help out. Then the original girl pipes up and says, " good thing its all on video." Wow, yes it is. K, as I do not want use her real name, please watch the video and maybe learn how to count. Not sure if it was a bad day, but everything that I observed from the time I walked in until I left tells me you have a very difficult time with numbers in general. I am usually very patient until someone wants to disagree with the obvious. Next time you should quit interrupting and pay a little more attention to customer.

It's near impossible to get the hairstylist you want. If you're happy with a particular sylist and want them the next time, good luck! It makes using their check-in app useless because unless u call in to see if the person is working that day there's no way to line it up!

Quick service and friendly staff. No appointments is a plus for me - just check in online. I would say this is the high end of the walk-in hair salons. I also like that they write down my haircut preference, so I don't have to explain it every time. (July 2020: everyone wears masks - clients and staff. Wait outside until asked to enter. I felt very safe.)

The orchard park great clips is pathetic. I have sat there while there is 5 people waiting and the stylists avoid the next customer like the plague. This is the worst haircutting joint I have ever been to. I won't call it a salon as it is not. Unbelievably terrible customer service. Great Clips is okay if you just want a quick cut. The price is right but the quality tends to be hit and miss because you rarely have the same stylist twice. If you find someone who gives you a good cut, I suppose you could get their name and then find out when they work. One thing that I do really like is the online booking. You can check on the wait time and put your name on the list so you don't have as long a wait when you get there.

I like that you can book a haircut using their app which saves time. Great for cheap haircuts if you get the experienced stylist. I am happy to have found a great lady to cut my hair there. I don't recommend getting your hair blow dried there as the price is the same as other salon ($40 for shoulder lenght plus tip ) and the result might be below expectations, as it was my case.

First haircut after the long COVID shutdown. Great Clips opens at 9 am and I arrived at 8:15. # 4 in line outside. They opened early at 8:30 am promptly. Very professional with the screening and cleaning and pleased to say Lisa was very pleasant and did an excellent job with the mop on top of my head. Couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks, Lisa and the Great Clips staff for making me look human again!!! Price increase to $ 21 plus tax which was to be expected. Upon leaving, the lineup was almost as far back as the Walmart. I have had bad and fair experience with Great Clips. The staff turnover is very high, so you are always starting from scratch with a stylist. Even when I check-in on line, I have been bumped many times. Some staff are not very good as styling hair, some clearly don't want to be there.

For a budget salon, this is actually a decent place to get a good quick hair cut on short notice. Needed a haircut for a trip, and my stylist wasn't available for weeks. Went last night at 7:25 did online check in, my 5 year old just put on a new mask and coughed a bit as he didn't like the smell. The stylist got very nasty and said she can deny him entry based in him coughing. I explained its from the mask, she continued to be nasty in body language etc....she was very stern with him when he even touched his mask, she was also angry that he was busy, touching stuff etc. I get it may have been a long day etc.....however she knows us as she has been cutting his hair for years. This pandemic has really brought about people exposing there true selves. Sadly we wont be coming back ever.

It's a decent haircut 6 out of 10 times. I have been pretty disappointed more than once. On other hand I have been real happy with the service as well. Most the time it's an average cut. The website allows self check in, which is real handy. The downside is the self check-in often says 0 guests in front of you, so if you check in at home then head over someone has usually taken your place.

Great Clips is really starting to frustrate me... This is the 4th time where I come in with 5 minutes on the timer and there's a shift change and I end up waiting 30+ minutes. It's 5:00 pm on Monday, and it's really frustrating to feel like the rug is being pulled out when you're pressed for time and they are pushing people to the app as a way of managing time better. It shouldn't be that hard to calculate wait times with anticipated shift changes when you have staffing and customer queue already built in.

I have taken the kids here for years but the last time I was in the hair cuts were all off balance I had asked them to fix it but the staff that day just couldn't cut straight I know they are kids and it's challenging to work with wiggling children but I have never seen a hair place cut bangs by holding scissors land scape style (parallel to the floor) and cutting across. I have honestly some better kids hair trims at home. I still give them 3 stars because they managed to get get the hair out of the kids eyes and made them happy with a balloon and lolly pop but we won't be back.

He is terribly upset because we have a family function tomorrow. The last time he went too, he got an uneven haircut. Amateur as I am, even I am able to give him a better haircut at home. Got a horrible hair cut from Great clips. The hair salon should be called we only use clippers because scissors are too challenging. Hairstylist doesn’t know how to use scissors. Hairstylist doesn’t know how to style hair either. No care. Just uses different size clippers when cutting someone’s hair. Screwed up cutting around my left ear. Didn’t noticed until I got home. Just rushes customers in and out. The hairstylist asks how much to take off the top then she selects the clipper size. No need for scissors in her opinion. No skill in her craft. Hairstylist could careless about her customers. Just cares about the tips. Better tip well because hairstylist will advertise a customer tip to other hairstylists and customers. Not going back to get my hair cut at great clips again. Felt like I got my hair done by a 10 year old with clippers. Not worth the $24.86.

I can't explain how upset I was with the haircut that I received at this place. I arrived after 5:00 PM on 4/20/2019 for what I believed to be a simple haircut. All I wanted was a 4 on the sides, no sideburns, 2 1/2 inches off the top, and my bangs lined up. I just wanted to be able to comb my hair to the side with a little lift in the front when I style it to go out. I don't think the woman who did my hair really knew what she was doing. The quality of the haircut looks like it came from someone who should have no business having a pair of clippers in their hands. When she approached to me to cut my hair, she spoke in a really low voice. It was difficult to hear her most of the time. She didn't even tell me her name. When I was in the chair, I kept getting turned around to where I couldn't see the mirror while she was giving me the haircut. Why would she do this? This makes no sense and a hairdresser have never given me a haircut without me having a full view of what they were doing. I got cuts and burns on the back of my neck from when she was lining up my hair with the razor. The skin is raw and uncomfortable. She had to ask a coworker for help on how to blend some parts of my hair. One side of the top of my head isn't blended in with the sides. There's uneven gaps in my hair. My bangs are cut so unevenly. I have no clue how anyone could mess this up. The sides of my bangs look like it's trying to be a bowl cut. After the haircut was over, I wasn't even given the chance to comb my hair the way that I wanted to see if the haircut worked out. They just combed it down. Wouldn't they want me to walk out satisfied that my hair looks the way that I want it to? The entire haircut was strange and uncomfortable. I didn't get a chance to see the full damage until I got home. I have to leave on an international flight in a couple days for a business trip. I'm going to be away for weeks. I'm meeting some very important people at my job. This is embarrassing. I'm so ashamed of my hair. I don't want to go out in public. It's Easter Sunday right now. Who knows if I can find ANOTHER place to fix this in time? I might have to buzz cut it. I don't want any of these "free haircut" coupons that I see other people are being offered. What's the point of that if the person giving you the free haircut doesn't know how to cut hair? I don't trust this place to fix this. If the woman that cut my hair just got her license, then she needs more training. If she doesn't have a license, she shouldn't be cutting hair at all. If she was new, she should have been supervised. If she was experienced, then there's no excuse for this at all. I shouldn't have been charged $14 for this haircut. I've had places cut my hair for less and did a way better job. The owner of this business should be aware of the quality of work that their staff is doing. It's unacceptable and really upsetting. I'd be willing to privately email the owner of the business pictures of my hair. If this is the quality of haircuts that comes out of this place, then customers should go anywhere else. It's not worth the money. You don't know how upsetting it can be to have messed up looking hair until it happens to you.

This was my first visit and I’m really happy with my cut. I found the staff to be courteous and quick, given this is a busy location. The check in app is pretty awesome. The stylist gave helpful advice on hair care (curls trying to survive in hard water ☺️) and the interaction during the cut was relaxed. The advice wasn’t unsolicited and felt honest. My only regret is not remembering the young lady’s name that cut my hair. She was more than happy to cut my layers a bit shorter after the initial cut. I use to go to the Glenmore Great Clips and got wonderful service. However, the two times I’ve been here have been the worst experiences with service I’ve ever had. As far as the most recent experience, I signed in online and came in on time. I didn’t wait too long to be served. I sat down and told them I wanted a point cut with as much texture as possible. The hairdresser asked if I used products, which I replied “some of the time”. She said “What’s the point of getting a textured cut then” and gave me a snarky look. I just stood up and left. If the customer knows what they want, then give them what they want. The other experience was worse, but I I’m going to skip that story. Horrible place, don’t go there.
