Customer service is good and love the massage chair. Was not impressed with my shellac nor my overall pedi????
I went to Tye nails for the first time today and already can't wait to go back. Tina did my pedi and Judy did my nails. They are both amazing. I have never had anybody take her time and do my nails so nice. Thanks again Judy and I will see You soon.
Our Girls hockey team came to town for the weekend. We had a 6 hour bus ride. Thought it would be fun to get pedicures. I called Tye Nails the day of, they were supposed to close at 6pm but stayed open for myself, another Mom and our daughters later as they were playing hockey at 6pm. They did all of us at once and was a great experience. The salon was very clean and all the girls were friendly and interacted with us the whole time. We had a great experience and so grateful and appreciative that they were kind enough to stay open so we could have a girls night. Thanks Tye Nails
Not bad
Just an amazing place to go . I’m so glad I stopped here. Have nothing bad to say about this place!
Ty nails gave my best friends and I such a great experience! It was my best friends birthday and they open early for us to do all 4 of us at the same time! They were so fun and caring :) even had a surprise for the birthday girl ! Gave us free hot wax treatment for our services! We will be back !!
The men here do great nails, fast and detailed but its scary when you get a woman and she dont look like she knows what she is doing and really messing up your nails. Luckily today I was saved by a male that walked into work about 10 min after she started doing something to my current set that was a little nerve wracking. Fast forward to today's edit a year later and a couple weeks ago I had a woman layla i think her name was or similar to that, she was out to lunch my nails were not done ombre the way I asked...the shape was horrible I redid when I got home and my pedi did not remove all the rough skin I said no to a deluxe with rocks next thing she is putting hot rocks on my legs actually burning one leg and I now have a scab there ! I will be seeking a new nail place after this recent experience.
One of the lady’s took me, she started doing my nails and failed with ‘how straight the nails look’! She replaced my index and opposite ring finger several times. As well as my middle finger a lot. So, basically she kept drilling my fingernail. She was so aggressive moving my hands backwards and forth for shaping and looking. Then Tye took over, thank god! I was about ready to walk!! He checked over her work! Then he applied the acrylic, shaping again, and did the paint job. So.. when it came to tip time. I respectfully gave the tip to Tye. Be careful who works for you, your customers might not come back! Thank you so much for beautiful nails Tye! Next time I’ll just get you to do my nails!
Love getting my pampering done here. All the staff is so friendly. The art work they can do is simply beautiful. I recommend Tye Nails to anyone!
they charges $30 for just removing gel nails...i would never go again..
Chris is my tech nd I like his nails
Judy was awesome thank you! ????????
Always a great place to get walkin appointments.
Had a pedicure done here by Judy and as far as I could tell it was amazing! My only issue would be the price but given it’s Fort McMurray the prices tend to be higher everywhere. Overall I would recommend and if possible ask for Judy to take care of you! :)
Great atmosphere, speedy service. All the staff very nice and helpful.
I never loved my nails so much! Service is great, I definitely recommend coming here!
Meh, high price and mediocre job with lumpy nails. Would only go back if no other alternative, and maybe see a different nail tech as I've heard good things from others.
100% recommend anyone to go see Judy at Tye Nails!! So warm and affable. Wonderful service and my nails look amazing. Looking forward to going back.
I’ve been getting my nails, feet and eyebrows done at Tye nails for years now. I can’t say that I’ve been satisfied every time that I’ve been there but that’s to be expected as I have never requested a specific person, therefore a different person does my nails each time. I work with my hands a lot, so even though I love long nails, they always end up broken within days of me getting them done. I recently decided that it was a waste and went in to just get my real nails painted instead. I explained this to the person who was going to do my nails and she told me that if I still really wanted to have some length she could do them at a length and thickness that wouldn’t break as easily. I was sceptical but she was right! For the first time ever I did not break any nails and I had them for over 3 weeks! Amazing! I’ve had nails this length before but they still broke even when I was trying to be careful. Whatever Leila did she did it right! I went back again today and I made sure she was the one who did them again. Leila is the sweetest! So nice and great conversation the whole time. She has a great vibe. I also like that she takes her time shaping my nails and cleaning my cuticles and u can tell she takes pride in what she does. After all these years, I’ve finally found the one person I want to do my nails each time. Thank u Leila!
Tech was a little distracted, but other than that my pedi was good.
We all went in as a group of 3 and my one friend had such a bad job done and it was done by tye the OWNER, he was not paying anyjng attention and barley gave it his best cause FIFA World Cup was on . we called in and the the guy who answered the phone said she can come back in and get them re painted and fix the problem , Tye seem them the next day and when she said what was wrong he got all mad and rude to us and barely fixed the paint job , PUT UR BEST WORK ALL THE TIME OR IN UR CLIENTS WHO DONT THINK IT WAS THE BEST
Awesome, friendly staff
other than long waits sometimes (even after an apt is booked) they are amazing. I havent found a better quality job EVER in ten years of getting my nails done in Edmonton. Even better they are the same price as what I pay in Edmonton, not ridiculous Fort McMurray pricing. I've seen Nina three times early since April ( that goes to show you how unreal they last ) and I will never go to anyone else as long as I am in Fort McMurray.
Nita is the best! Thank you
Wonderful, modern, clean salon. They have the nicest nailtechs and the newest and best chairs to sit in while you get a pedicure.
Best nail shop in town, staff are courteous and thorough. They keep up with the current trends while providing excellent service with the everyday stuff. I always feel good and relaxed when leaving.
I went in for the first time to get a new set done. My service was super rushed, I finished way before 2 people who were there before me. I told him I didn't really like the design he was doing on my accent finger and he just said "it's fine" and kept going. Then i told him my nails were a little too long and he said its the same as the picture and didn't cut it shorter as i asked. The picture is supposed to be a reference, not exact. I just ignored it cause the set turned out okay but then i went to pay and he charged me 10$ extra without telling me for the design i didn't even like. One of the girls apologized for the extra charge but i still ended up paying the extra, so 75$ for a set that was definitely not worth it.
We had a great time thanks!
They do very nice nails been going for 2years now, their always willing to fix any mistakes, and very reasonably priced
Love it there excellent customer service
Went here 3 times the first time was a good experience the second was not to bad but the third time was terrible. They are so rushed wanting to get everyone that walks through the door. I paid the most the third time I went there which was both strange as it was a fill and irritating that the prices kept changing. She cut me 3 times and was very rude and argued with me over the colors I wanted. As this was my experience the main reason I chose to find somewhere else to go was because there were 5 other woman there and they all complained about something and a woman had the tip of her finger cut off. Changed my mind about this place instantly
Worst experience ever. Called and booked for appointments ahead of time for pedis. Waited about 2 hours before we could even sit down, once they finally finished they charged us for deluxe even though we didn't receive half the services. Took about 4 hours total because they were sitting down walk ins and starting on them before starting on my friend and I.
Never loud and roudy as most places I've been to are, very friendly staff and immaculately clean and professionally run! Why I left 1 star out is because Tina at Q nails peter pond mall goes the extra mile.
Went in for a fill, next thing I know I'm told my nails are terrible after they've been filed down already and have no choice but to agree to a new set. one word for the experience, ROUGH
I've never had any salon do such an amazing job on my nails like Tye Nails! I'm so happy with my nails! Definitely coming back!
Great
Christmas holidays and it's party time. Danny took time doing my nails and the results are all the compliments l'm getting. Thanks Danny.
Awesome staff is friendly and di a great job.
I went in for a gel fill, which I was told was $55. When I went to pay she charged me $65, the extra $10 was for cutting my cuticles. I kid you not! Not to mention, it is the worse gel fill ever. My nails are not all the same shape, the colour isn't even. I would suggest to find some where else.
Honestly, I was extremely disappointed in my shellac polish. I have never had such a crappy job, for the price it was NOT worth it. I have been getting my nails done both shellac and gel for years now and have never had such a lumpy, uneven, over-priced outcome. sorry but I won't be returning.
Kyle is amazing, hes been doing my nails for about a year now. My nails never break!
I had consistantly got my (acrylic) nails done, and my nails were in fine shape until I came to get a new set here. 4 of them broke off within a week, and when I went back to get them fixed they made me PAY for a new set since my other nails were on the verge of breaking. Keep in mind they all broke off, or were cracked within a week. I shouldn't have been surprised when they "fixed" them two of my nails broke off no more then a week later, and my nails underneath were worse off than they had ever been. I assume poor knowledge of how to apply acrylic properly, sloppy technique, and more than likely technicians that aren't certified. I heard that Tye himself is quite skilled, but his other technicians are poorly lacking. I wouldn't spend my money here unless going to Tye. Good luck ladies
