I always see Maryssa to get my balayage highlights and Zuzu did a great job fixing a haircut that another salon had botched. Everyone here is so friendly and happy to offer coffee and water. Just went inside with my mom to check if they had any appointments available and one of the girls in front (short dark brown hair) (June 7th, 6pm) was passive aggressive and very cold from the beginning. Didn’t really know how to communicate which was confusing. Bluntly said that they’re busy but didn’t offer an alternate solution or appointment date which was offputting. She just stared at my mom awkwardly which was creepy. Wouldn’t recommend for the sole interaction we had :) ! Wondering if she were discrimatory due to my moms age. (Ageism)

I used to be a happy customer appreciating all hard work they are putting into each hair appointment i had until my last visit. I asked for my usual colour blonde ombre highlights/ balayage and ended up with partial grey tones mixed with copper tones very uneven. I sent them an email asking for them to fix it. Next day, without any extra charge Mindy tried to fix it and promised me over the time will look better once tonner sets in. (This was happening last year around Thanksgiving time. My all family asked me why did I colour my hair to grey with funny tones in between.. it was supposed to be blonde and it was actually colored by Soho Salon. So i had to go there again with the hope of hair colour correction) Due to Covid 19 these days we have more video calls and my family pointed out my hair colour still looks very uneven. I took a recent picture and sent to Soho contact email with initial picture the day coloring took place to show them how unprofessional still looks my colour and no improvement even time has passed as promised. The person who replies their emails ended up lecturing me they are in business so many years and customer satisfaction is priority. I am welcomed to book again and 7 months passed from my last appointment. Seriously?! Before this incident i used to visit them approx. every 6 months (for last 2 years) since my hair roots needs to be colored time to time. I never had this funny hair colour tones before. Passing these many months is not good enough reason to justify the uneven tones on my hair. Why is it so hard to accept the fact quality of the service i received that day was very poor? So instead of providing great customer service this is their way of handling difficult situations. I was not complaining about my own hair roots i am complaining about funny colour tones on my hair which i paid $300 and gets worse every single day. I have always had blonde ombre highlights / balayage and i know with right shampoo you can protect this colour for a very long time. They underestimate the value of loyal customers, today it is me and tomorrow will be someone else. Because simply they don't care. If your hair colour is good, you are lucky but if you have a complaint they won't put any efforts to make it right. You are alone.

Have been trying to find a hair salon that I can stick to for the next little bit and decided to give SoHo a try. I wasn’t disappointed! I booked my appointment over the phone. They called me two days before to confirm. On arrival, I was greeted immediately and my jacket was taken. I waited for a few seconds before Amanda my stylist showed up. She was very friendly and nice. We first sat and down and talked about what I wanted. I just wanted to trim a few inches but wasn’t ready to lose a lot of my hair. Amanda understood me and advised what would be the neat way to do it. After, I went for a nice hair wash with a good scalp massage. Came back the cut was about 15-20 mins. I was also offered a tea and the conversation was very pleasant. She blowed dried my hair, asked me if there were any products I didn’t want to use on my hair and styled my hair how I wanted. I was very pleased and needless to say, have booked my next appointment with them!

I’ve been happily coming here for years and recommend Soho to everyone. I’ve never been disappointed or had unhappy results. Receptionist Denise is friendly and efficient. Staff go out of their way to make sure clients make informed decisions about what will work with their hair. I’ve always been extremely pleased with colour by Joe or Danielle and cut by Victor or James. Scalp massages during washes are bonus.

I went for highlights and asked for natural brown hues in my dark hair. I got light blonde highlights after repeatedly telling her that I wanted it to be natural brown. But the worst part is that I saw what the colour looked like after I got home. Why? Because after washing my hair she didn't even dry it, let alone style it. I came home with dripping wet hair cause she "towel dried" it. In fact, she gave me a towel and a comb to dry it "as I like." I was was so upset that I don't remember the name of the stylist or the unhelpful receptionist. I have been there before for hair cutting appointments with Zuzu and she is absolutely amazing. But this one extremely horrible experience outweighs all the previous good experiences. Not going back.

Fair prices, they are very clear about wanting to work with you to create and achieve whatever look and feel you're after while being honest about what lasting effects it might have on your hair. They're busy so be sure to book in advance they well worth the wait. With that said I've been able to get an appointment the same week.

LOVE Soho!!! I first fell in love with them when they saved my hair from a home hair coloring disaster that turned my hair orange - they fixed it completely! I never walk away disappointed from this place! They always give me what I’m looking for and are really nice and clean here too! I’m sad that they left the mall though :( it’s a lot harder to get to this location in the winter since I don’t have a car so I don’t come as often as I’d like anymore.

Came to Soho on my friend's glowing recommendation, desperate to fix atrocious highlights I'd had done at another salon. Greeted by super sweet & friendly team at reception (who had previously been extremely helpful & accomodating on the phone when I had called to make my appointment). Immediately felt at ease with colourist Mindy, who seemed to understand exactly what I wanted. She masterfully salvaged my unflattering & oddly-placed existing highlights to achieve EXACTLY the look for which I had hoped. I went to Soho two days ago to cut some bangs. I went in with next to no idea of what I really wanted and somehow Kiki still managed to nail the look I was going for. Ive gone to this salon twice now, the first time was about a year ago when I wanted a big change in my style and Danielle (I think) cut my hair so beautifully that I sometimes totally want to cut it that short again. Its been two days and my bangs still look good, how do I know? Well, I havent stopped looking at myself in the mirror.

This is one of the most professional salons I have been to. Once I entered, I was greeted pleasantly and was brought immediately to the back where I met my stylist, Sarah. She was pleasant and gave her honest opinion about what would look good on me (I'm very indecisive). She was able to let me know what she thought was good and gave me a great haircut. I have a follow up appointment to colour my hair. The atmosphere is beautiful and was clean. People there were pleasant and staff interacted with each other friendly. Everyone there followed COVID-19 protocols. A place worth going to.

I've been going to this salon for 7 years and they're great but recently I had a really unfortunate experience. I went in to get a haircut and I was put with a stylist that I could tell just wanted me out of her chair. She spent the majority of the hair cut ordering her lunch with a colleague. Which I could have understood if she had stepped away for moment to do but it was a good 15-30 minutes of back and forth with a colleague about that. This made me feel like my time wasn't valued. I was also told I had to stand for the haircut because my hair was too long. This was a bit embarrassing as no one else with my hair length had to stand. I do love the salon but maybe this is something that should be addressed.

Her relaxing touch when washing my hair and massaging my scalp almost put me to sleep. Understanding that it is a strange time, I wasn't at all happy with my most recent visit to Soho. My hair was coloured, but after being told she would be right back to see me after 30 minutes, I met only with someone else who washed my hair. No one offered to dry it so I had no chance to see what the colour even looked like. I think I'm going back to box dyeing from now on; paying nearly $100 for all-over colour and no blow-dry is crazy.

I went to this salon for the first time today, they were able to squeeze me in for a last minute haircut. The salon has lots of parking, and is very clean and modern inside. Danielle always does my hair colour, and she’s incredible! She’s almost like a master chemist when it comes to hair dye, and she always tries cool techniques and combos. I’ve gone elsewhere to get platinum blonde/gray, and they charge over $200 dollars... here I get a better job for like $100 after tax. I’ve moved further away from this location and still travel there to get it done.

Went with my girlfriend. 2nd colour treatment at Soho. Colourist recommended they avoid using toner as we are going on vacation and the salt water will pull the colour out, and instead will only do a full head of highlights. When my girlfriend returned home and her hair had dried, we noticed all the roots at the back were not done. After talking to the receptionist, it turns out they charged the full rate for partial highlights, plus toner (total price is $1 cheaper as full head of highlights). To top it off, they offered to have her come back same day, but would have to pay for sectional highlights (additional $55). Experience is sad as she had really enjoyed her first visit, and they had done a great job.

I'm really disappointed . I sat down with the stylist and explained I'd like to go shorter but I want something low maintenance. She told me she wanted to keep the length and put in layers and I decided to trust her since she's the expert. I look like I have a short bob sitting on top of a long haircut. My layers are shorter then my bangs and it looks like she randomly hacked chunks of hair. I read reviews and had people tell me the experience was great. I was never offered a beverage or shown that much hospitality. When I went to pay I had to wait 5 minutes while the receptionist was on the phone without her saying anything to me. I wanted to enjoy my experience but there is nothing positive to say. To top it all off it was my birthday and I had to go out with this horrible hair cut.

Called 3 weeks ago to see if I can book an appt for hair cut and color. The receptionist left me on hold to and they hang up the call. Called back after to finish my call and no one answer. Wow great customer service. I did a hair cut before the quarantine and it was ok. I tried to explain to them that I came before for a hair cut but got an answer on Instagram that priority for booking is for regural customer. Wow what a great customer service specially with James. Also my first appt was rebooked without being told. Anyway wanted to share my experience. I did find another place in the area with better service.

I've been to Soho quite a few times now and the service is always great. From reception to the stylists and all the staff, everyone here is really welcoming and friendly. They offer coffee, tea, or water while you wait. They have a mini consultation with you before your haircut so they know what you're looking for, additionally, you get a great wash and style at the end. Worth it.

I have been coming to Soho Salon for haircuts for many years and have always been pleased with the results. Anthony has done it many times but a couple of days ago I walked in without an appointment just to pick up some Davines mousse and on a whim asked if anyone could cut my hair. She said that Noelle would be able to do it in 45 minutes. I am glad I decided to give her a try. Love the cut and am gratified for all the advice she gave me on how to get more volume in my hair. She was friendly and listened well. Really like her.

I was in Soho salon about a month ago. It was my first time doing anything fancy to my hair. I really wanted to have a pastel pink balayage. After reading the reviews I decided to go with Mindy, she and everyone was very nice and professional. She did the balayage and although it was a little darker. i was excited to see how it would wash and to see it become more pastel. I ended up paying in total a little over $400. I was excited with my new hair and happy with the service so i gave a 20% tip. And bought the shampoo and conditioner they suggested. Unfortunately after the first wash most of the color washed out from the top. It remained a dark reddish color except a strip underneath my hair which was pastel pink. I waited three weeks hoping that with every wash my hair would become more pink. But it went straight to small brassy highlights and after pale blond highlights. It was never pink except for that pink stripe under my hair. I went back to Mindy obviously unhappy and hoping she would help me. But she wasn't't owning up to it, I explained that i paid a lot of money for pink hair that was never pink after the first wash. She was making it seem like it was my fault. The only thing they offered was to go and bleach the top again for 100 or redye my hair pink for 40 which i know would fall off after the first wash. I didn't want to pay these people any more money so I will not go back. They are nice to you before they get you money but not very much after.

Soho is a truly beautiful experience. The customer comes first from the minute you walk in the door till you leave. It is the first time in 30 years I have received a STYLE that suited me and my needs. I thought it was a little pricey until I experienced it and now I will be back for more. You get what you pay for and this really is a GEM right here in Etobicoke. A downtown feel so close to home.

Absolutely horrible customer service and not the way to run a business. I will obviously not be going back nor recommending this place. I had booked my first hair appointment at this salon for highlights and signed up for their text message service that reminds you of your appointments etc. The day of my appointment is here and I go to Sherway right before my appointment to pick something up, then just as I am about to head for my 6:30 pm appointment I get a text message asking me to confirm my appointment for the same day the following week. Now since I was sure this was the date as I had it in my calendar, a confirmation as well as I was bloody going on vacation that weekend I called the salon and was told that they were too busy and would it be okay if I come next week. This is unacceptable. To first of all just change my appointment without telling me and to do it 15 minutes before my actual appointment. If you cannot run a business properly the least you can do is give a call at least a few hours in advance! Be warned-they cancel and change your appointments without telling you. Luckily I was able to get in last minute at Curio inside Sherway! Thank goodness since I was in a real pinch with leaving in a few days! Also, I highly recommend Curio, they did an absolutely fantastic job!

I left with the hair I always wanted and her number saved to my phone. My highlights were too white twice. First time I told the colorist but she pretended that was what I asked for. I went back a few months later and she missed them again, even worse. I think she forgot me because I had to ask to be shampooed. And I still had to pay 180$!!!

If you want a good colour and cut this is a great place to go. Mindy has done my highlights before and I'd go back to her. I find it quite pricey though and if your just getting colour or highlights...you have to pay for them to blow dry your hair or they let you blow dry on your own. I have had my hair styled by Noelle a couple times for big occasions and I love the looks she is able to create for me. Most recent a viking kind of look here in my picture for a friend's Wedding!

I went to cut my hair for charity, everyone was super helpful and nice! Went from 12ish inches of hair to a cute pixie cut (just make sure to call ahead of time of you want this). Still looks good even weeks later. Will be heading back!

I've been to Soho twice before in the past year, one for a full head dye and the other for a hair cut - both which I loved. My hair length is approx. around the middle of my back but after my shoulders it just goes completely dead - dry, brittle, just plain damaged. ( I know i need a hair cut but i like my length, I rather damaged length than no length) The color technician refused to dye my hair without a haircut first - because of the damage. She wants to work on "healthy hair" But i mean, if the client knows all the disadvantages but still wants to go through with it, whose loss is it really? I appreciate her concern but I needed to do something to my hair before the long weekend. I agreed to the haircut, but everyone was booked. They couldn't get me for another week JUST for the haircut. It was seriously a waste of my time for taking off work and going down there.

Salon Soho is great! Victor has been cutting my hair for 28 years and Joe does the color. I went to different places over time but I always come back! I have fine hair and not to many stylists know how to cut my hair. I'm very particular, I also color my hair blond and like it to look natural and Joe always delivers! If I want to change my color he always does a great job and give me a great advice! I'm never afraid to try other stylists if I can't get a appointment with Victor because I know that they have to be great to work at Salon Soho! And the products they use and sell are truly amazing!!!!!!

Maryssa is an extremely talented colourist who always gives me what I ask for—while still putting her own artistic spin on it—and James possesses an intriguing balance of perfectionism and effortlessness in the way he cuts hair. I also appreciate that both of them are considerate, friendly and honest with their opinions about what hair colour and style will work best for me. Denise, the receptionist, is also very welcoming and organized. And I appreciate that other staff, such as Anthony, will say hello and inquire how I'm doing, even when not working on my hair. The overall vibe in the salon feels like a positive team atmosphere.
