Went in for a big change haircut, from waist- length hair to a length just below my collarbones and a full undercut. Melanie absolutely killed it, her instincts for what would work best for me matched her skill level and I'm so relieved that I trusted her! Will be returning in the future

Don't go anywhere else! Blonde expert is an understatement. My hair is super difficult to deal with but Mel was able to lift and blend to a beautiful blonde! The online system is really easy to use and I love that I don't have to call in to speak to someone to book - makes everything nice and easy. Finally, the atmosphere at the salon is beautiful! It's what plant dreams are made of. I am truly obsessed with my hair thank you Wave for absolutely slaying my hair and spending the time to chat, figure out what I wanted and executing my vision flawlessly! I am beyond grateful.

I come from Ecuador so getting my hair done in Canada is always expensive for me (in ecuador it costs 50 dollars to get something that can cost 300 dollars in Victoria, BC). But at wavehair studio I got THE BEST DEAL. first of all she is the nicest, second of all, although i was hesitant about the price at the beginning , I didn't mind tipping her almost 20% at the end because she did an AMAZING job and i keep getting compliments today (almost one year after my last appointment). I 100% recommend getting a hair appointment here.

My hair turned out even better than I imagined and it’s still so healthy. Wouldn't recommend, did highlights when i asked for a blended balayage (similar to the photo). Was looking forward to this appointment for weeks and when i emailed to ask if they could fix it, the owner said there was nothing wrong with my hair and that she liked it (even though i dont??). What i got was not a balayage, it was 2000's highlights and not even close to what i was going for. Also the owner was extremely rude when i tried to be mature and emailed her privately to find a resolution, and when i decided not to let someone who already messed up my hair touch it again (and risk doing more damage) she emailed again confronting me for writing a bad review, and she only initially offered to "tone" the warmth out of my hair and darken the roots a bit but that doesn't fix bad highlight placement so?? Considering this is one out of many good reviews, i think the owner needs to learn how to take criticism and feedback with professionalism and not fight with clients who are clearly unhappy (why else would i email her to ask to have it fixed if we "both agreed it looked good" as she says in her reply to this review)

Before going to see Melanie at Wave Hair studio, I would always feel pressure from other hair stylists and artist about buying expensive products to maintain my hair. Melanie has never made me feel this way at her studio. From the very first appointment I felt as if she was a friend I’ve had forever.
