With highly skilled stylists, you can be sure you will walk out of the salon feeling fresh and fabulous. What I also love about them is they are very eco-conscious and use haircare lines that align with their values (as well as mine!) Definitely drop by the next time you're in need of a little hair TLC, these guys are awesome!

I love everything about Inspire Hair Design. Heather (my stylist) works miracles on the lion's mane that is my hair and Kathryn (the owner) is so lovely and really involved in the community. Their product line is eco-friendly but even better, it looks, feels and smells lovely. This salon does great work in an environment that makes you feel relaxed and pampered (did I mention the free chocolate? ). Check them out!

Complimtary coffee or tea as well. I live in Calgary but every time I go to Victoria I have to stop in to get my hair done here! Great customer service and always a great experience! Definitely recommend!!

Victoria is a beautiful city and it's great to know that there are great businesses out there that look to keep it that way. I really debated whether to leave a review or just move on, but I really didn't enjoy my haircut experience with Jordan. I have long hair that I've been cutting myself and just asked to have it evened out/add a few layers. I have previous hairdressing experience and told my stylist as much at the beginning of the appointment. They tried to suggest a much more aggressively short haircut than I wanted which at first I agreed to but ultimately stuck to my guns and asked for just a trim. I referenced a Buffy haircut as the look I was going for but he didn't ask to see it or for me to elaborate... ???? He also chose to style my hair by putting in gel and mousse and diffusing it which I never do, and was like explaining to me how diffusing works even though I told him I went to hair school.. when the styling was done it was incredibly uneven in the front, he said it wouldn't be noticeable when it was styled curly but I repeated that I don't wear my hair that way. He agreed to blow dry it straight to even it out but seemed kind of annoyed at that point. In the end I ended up with a blunt, puffy cut, still uneven, huge bangs which were not blended in and had to go home and fix myself... He also seemed in a big rush to get me out the door and didn't offer to style it at all. As I said I really hate leaving bad reviews but I am a person that has really struggled to stand my ground when getting tattoos/haircuts and ended up with things I don't love and it's forced me to advocate for myself. I know not everyone is comfortable with that and I feel like if I hadn't I would have ended up with an even shorter puffier curlier haircut that I didn't want. I unfortunately wouldn't recommend this salon ???? I guess it's back to cutting my own hair!

BEST HAIR CUT I'VE EVER HAD! Katie is an incredible stylist, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Chelsea at reception was amazing as well. The most adorable woman I've ever met. I had the BEST experience I've ever had in a hair salon. I was greeted warmly at the door by Kathryn, the owner, who took my coat and offered me coffee and chocolate! Heather soon came and offered generously of her time and expertise in an impromptu consult about color. We decided and she went to work. She was thorough, expedient and as I waited, offered me a relaxing hand massage! The ambiance in the salon is warm, friendly and SUPER positive--beauty, inspiration and ease... Kathryn has created an absolute oasis in the already lovely city of Victoria. I LOVED the end result for many reasons. Natural products, soft and natural color and styling and a real sense of being seen and met where I wanted to be with my "outer look" appearance. They are a lovely team at Inspire and I HIGHLY recommend their services!

I see now why this place has only positive reviews! I have gone twice now, and I am so impressed! Margaret has been doing my hair and I am so happy with it! But honestly, everyone there is so kind and welcoming! Their salon doesn't smell like chemicals or anything, and their shampoos smell amazing! They totally pamper you. They offer you tea, they give you chocolates, and they even give you some extra chocolates for the road hehehe. I definitely recommend this place!

I have been blown away by my experience at Inspire and I'll tell you why. In my first appointment my hair came out all the wrong colour- OOPS! My pre-dyed hair just soaked up the new tone at an unexpected rate. Normally you think this would produce a bad review but I had quite the opposite experience. Not only Margaret, my stylist, make the surprise look fantastic with what we had but when my heart was really set on "a different look" she voluntarily booked a second appointment a week later to re-create something I lOVED. In my second experience, Katie did my hair and the combination of her and Margaret's work produced the most beautiful haircut/ colour I have ever had. To this day when I catch my hair in the mirror I'm stoked at the reflection. To top it off they appreciate their custmers with gifts and chocolate, the receptionist is always warm and flexible AND they are absolutely conscious minded about their products and their involvement in the community. 100% recommend. **Trust your hair to Kristi!** Whenever I walk in the door I'm greeted with smiles and warmth, not to mention tea and chocolate or some other yummy, complimentary treat. The staff are incredibly thoughtful and take great care to ensure you're happy and comfortable even before your appointment officially starts! (Cannot say enough good things about the atmosphere at Inspire. It's so lovely.) I feel so fortunate to have been able to work with a stylist as talented as Kristi Teyke. For the past few years, I had been dealing (and struggling) with increasingly greying hair. To make matters worse, I also have a sensitivity to hair dye. Unsure of what to do (take a chance with dye? go natural?), I booked a consult with Kristi. She took the time to discuss various options, and even knew how to properly test me for a possible allergy to Inspire's colouring products. I was so impressed with the consult, I booked a cut/colour right away, and I couldn't be happier with the end results. Kristi has transformed my hair from dull, grey and unkempt to bright, healthy and natural looking! By working her magic, Kristi has allowed me to keep some natural greys, yet somehow still look much younger and put together! Her technique has also ensured that my scalp doesn't come into contact with too much dye, thus eliminating any concerns about possible allergic reactions. Not only is Kristi incredibly talented, she may be one of the kindest people I've ever met. I cannot recommend Kristi enough - she really is the best. Oh, and the fact that Inspire sells (and uses) the Davines line is the icing on this already amazing cake. Davines products are my new favourite!

Saw the lovely Margaret Barker today. Most drastic change I've done in years with a dark and medium brown to neutral blonde balayage. I was in capable hands! She did an amazing job with the colour she suggested, very flattering to my colouring and the cut was exactly what I wanted. It's great when you go to see a hairdresser and they say everything you wanted to hear and delivered the results. I got a hand massage while my hair processed with ammonia free dye. Cherry on top, every product she used smelled glorious and natural.. even the hair spray! Silk road tea and chocolate was a plus too. Thanks Margaret! xx

A visit to Inspire is a relaxing time and you always get a warm welcome upon arrival. Kristi has been cutting and coloring my hair for many years. My hair is a challenge. It is coarse, frizzy, wavy, curly, a mixed bag! But Kristi knows how to deal with it. I was really nervous about starting to color my hair but Kristi put me at ease. She has done an amazing job covering and blending the greys with my natural hair color. I will not trust anyone else to color my hair. When I was living in Vancouver, I would make the trip to Victoria just for a hair appointment with her. Kristi is customer focused; she listens and provides advice which I appreciate. Thank you so much Kristi; you are the best!

Kristi has been my hair stylist for almost 10 years. She is so kind and truly cares about her customers. I was so happy to have her do my wedding hair and make-up. She did an incredible job. She executed my vision perfectly and made me feel like the most beautiful bride. Both my hair and makeup lasted all day and night. I loved the products she used! The product line they carry is amazing as well - I can spike my hair at home, throw my bike helmet on it, and have it still standing up when I arrive, which is pretty miraculous.
