I did the keratin treatment i thought it’s going to be smooth and straight afterwards but after the ironing and wash and blow dry my hair went back to same shape. I mean i can still see curly hair on the back of my hair. And the volume of my hair is a lot. I really thought it’s gonna be super straight and smooth. But I’m really disappointed.It was supposed to be smooth and straight right? It’s just the price is too high i paid 500$ for that keratin treatment. but the outcome I’m not satisfied. My hair is now curly again.. like it's not straight anymore.. like it really went back to my old hair.. for real....

They cut my hair way too short, I asked for 1 inch trim and the hairstylist nearly cut off half the length of my hair even though I told her to keep most of my length (my hair was down to my lower back before the haircut), she was also very rough with my hair. Not only that but from beginning to end the staff and the hairstylist seemed to rush me. I am very dissapointed and wish they could've done a better job.

Did my semi-permanent makeup. It's hard to select a place in Montreal because lots of places do this service right now. The technican calle dme right away. She answered all my questions and I trusted her. I did my lip blush and eye brow microshading and I love the end results. She was very patient with me and she answered all of my questions. Read this if you are a student! I'll write both negative and positive experiences that I had here. Yes I had a nice haircut with Martin. No I wasn't satisfied with the way salon treated me. Here it's the negative side of the story: I wish they were honest and elaborated more on their website about their different price range and different ways of calculations... Yes I read few comments to know which hairstylist should I choose but I didn't have time to go over all the ~700 comments to know they'll charge you dramatically differently. I believe the website should be a true reference at the first place which in their case it's not! . On their site they say: Cut and blow dry for women: 56$ While they charged me 90$ I asked them why? Do you charge people hourly? They said no, you maybe had a lot of hair!! I also asked them for a student discount, they asked how old are you? I said 29, they coldly said discounts are only for students under 25. Positive side: As my first experience in this salon, I had a wonderful pixie haircut and blow dry with Martin! He did exactly what I wanted and I'm honestly happy with the results. Also, he has a very nice and polite personality... I give his work 5 of 5 stars! For people who really want to find a professional hairstylist, I definitely recommend him. .... I know all of the negative things that I've mentioned are too trivial for most people but for students it's important so don't rely on their website at all. You'll be misguided. I won't go there again and I will discourage my friends to go there as well. At least not when they are still a full-time student...

Best place I've ever been to when it comes to a hair salon. Elizabeth was hands down a doll, amazingly experienced and just a blast in general. Seriously knows what she's talking about. The extensions she put it aren't even noticeable, they look fully natural. Definitely coming back here!

I'm not sure why this place is so highly-rated because the experience we had was pretty underwhelming. We arrived for our appointments but my stylist had taken another client instead, so I had to wait for her to be finished despite my appointment. The receptionist was rude and said we had appointments for blowouts when we had called for haircuts. The hair washer didn't know what silicone was when I asked if they had silicone-free products. The stylist herself had dried out, unkempt hair and took less than 10 minutes to mangle my beautiful curly hair into a messy rat's nest with cheap hair product, I couldn't even run my fingers through it, it was so sticky I had to wash it all out when I got home. The salon was so busy and seemed more like a tourist depanneur on Sainte Catherine's street than a high-class salon. It felt cheap, unwelcoming, and we'd never visit again. Now I have to just wait til this horrendous cut grows out. ???? Edit: I tried calling to correct the issue, was placed on hold and hung up on twice. This place clearly only wants your money and does nothing to deserve it. AVOID this place!

The reason I gave it a three star because of their price...on the website I found a different charge for a simple haircut but I had to pay approximately double of it when I had my haircut over there...I literally felt like cheated. I asked for a simple haircut nothing extra was done except a simple curling which I personally feel, should not make my payment double to the original price.

I found my forever salon at Deauville! Been coming here for almost 3 years now. The staff did great to make you feel comfortable going in for a hair cut during these stressful times. The space is clean and spread out. Anthony is amazing. He's listens and gives him suggestions and asks if I am ok with everything before cutting my hair, using products, and styling. He took the time to also teach me how to style my hair for when I have to do it myself. I would 100% recommend coming here.

Ok so today I went for a haircut colour and blow dry!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY AMAZING never mind the 1-2 bad reviews, the service is as amazing as How the place looks! It's big! There's even a valet parking that I didn't use but they have food if your hungry and really I recommend this place it's the best haircut I ever had!!!!! The lady that took care of me name is Tanya D( i Say G because there's two) but she was amazing she gaved me a beautiful haircut I love the outcome and she was pleasant to speak to! I never regretted a decision so much. The lady that cut my hair was really nice but she cut my hair so short and i specifically told her to not cut this length. My hair are now shorter then my chin and i lost all my self confidence i litteraly dont wanna go out of my house anymore because i look like a little boy. Plus i have to flat iron my hair every day because if i let my natural curly hair.... they literally are so short they’re no longer then my ears. I cried so much when i got back home. I know its just hair and its gonma grow but im young and my self esteem is already not the best and now its even worst. And she was professional and i really think she is talented but i dont know why she cut that much hair on me. I did not complain at the salon because i would’ve cried. So i just left as fast as i could

Now, my daughters (21 and 16) get haircuts with Luisa as well, they love her. The hair washer lady didn’t rinse off all of the shampoo and I felt very uncomfortable. She offered me coffee and totally forgot about it. I complained enough for them to correct her mistakes... Also, it was a huge mistake to rely on the prices on the website. I overpaid for a 5 minute simple haircut. Least I forget about the dripping ceiling and the dim lights that made the room darker. I’ve been to busier hair salons with better service. This just isn’t one of them and I am definitely not coming back. If you are someone who gets easily anxious in a crowded place, this is not the place for you. They will rush you out the door. I was hoping to become a regular but due to the disappointment I’m okay with traveling elsewhere for a better place.

Kerry is just a wonderful professional and beautiful person. After spend a week in a hospital all what I wanted was to get a good haircut, being well treated and she did it with all of hers attention. She took time to understand exactly what I want as style and she is perfectionist. I can't wait to be back and do something else soon. I came here because of the high rating but was shocked after the experience. I did up-do and make up. Up-do was fine. But make-up was the WORST. They used really cheap quality foundation and everything else. Was shocked after seeing myself and very expensive. Anyway at least they don't know how to do asian make-ups.

Nov. 6, 2020: This is was my first time at this salon and I can only say one word to describe the service & hairdresser (Antoine) is "MAGNIFICENT". I asked for a nostalgic 70's hairdo cut with feathery layers/flips/curls (like in those Farrah F. days - wink) style and I got it. I was overwhelmed with happiness and left like I was the young "queen of the disco" all over again. I'm not that old but loving/stuck in the 70's and 80's it's hard to find today a hairdresser that can actually do those back then hairdos that I still love so much. He (Antoine) did not disappoint. Love It!!!! Thank you/grazie to Antoine! - I Shall return for more nostalgic looks. :) PS Attached is pic of what the back of "my hair look like". Cool Huh! . . . Dec. 5, 2020 update: I went back (second time)! Hehe For our Birthday celebrations, my daughter (B’day Dec.4) and I (B’day Dec.8) went to get our hair done together. Again I must say great service and Antoine (hairdresser) gave us hairdos of “perfection”. Our “adventure of happiness” to the salon together is a memory that we will treasure together. Below are pictures of our hair (blow dried/styled) and a pic. of some extra goodies we bought from the gift shop. The smaller bottles of shampoo/conditioner were a gift we received from the owner (Claudia) of the salon (Thank you so much!). I also like to give some credit of “appreciation” to the 2 people who washed our hair; they gave us the ultimate greatest feeling of relaxation. Prior to Deauville, I had gone to a salon to get my hair dyed from a dark brown to a light copper and wasn’t too happy with the results. My mom had suggested Dimitra and she took one look at my hair, saw my disappointment with the colour and said “I can fix this” - and fixed it she did. She stripped the dark burgundy red out of my hair without damaging my hair’s chemistry and lightened/toned it to such a beautiful copper shade and I could not be happier with how it turned out. Not to mention she is such a sweetheart with a sense of humor like no other. Definitely recommend!

I should commend Elizabeth, Robert and toki for a job well done! March 3 was my wedding and I decided to visit the salon to do my nails and hair. I was in love with the ambiance of the salon and the extremely courteous staff members there. Toki ( hope I got her name correctly..lol) did my nails. Robert gave me a wash and ABC treatment and Elizabeth ...oh this woman is simply amazing!!!! Lizzy did the styling of my hair. Lizzy took my flat, medium length hair and turn it into a work of art!!! It was just magnificent!!!! I was lost for words when I saw my hair. Guess what? Everyone at the wedding was in awe with my hair too!!! Lizzy and Robert even took the time to offer me advise on hair products I could use and I love that too. I left the salon with my new hair mask and looking absolutely fabulous! So they even have a little bistro to eat food so we ordered food and it was so amazing. A few days ago, I came to Salon Deauville for a haircut (curtain bangs) and balayage. I had the pleasure of having Carlos as my hairdresser. Prior to starting the bleaching process, he was unsure if my hair would be able to sustain the bleach. He then did a test strand on my hair and saw that my hair was a bit too damaged to safely get bleached. If we hadn't done this test strand, my hair would've come out looking horrible after the balayage. I know many greedy salons in Montreal would've completely ignored the damaged hair and would've proceeded with a balayage that would've given me poor results. Salon Deauville is no greedy salon. They work with honesty and professionalism, as their reputation precedes itself. When it came down to my haircut, Carlos understood exactly what I wanted and outdid himself. My hair looked better than the "inspo pics" I was showing him on my phone. I am very pleased with the service I received at the salon. From the moment of my arrival to the time of my departure, I was treated with the utmost respect and care from Carlos and the rest of the staff.

My first time there, and was actually looking forward to it because of all the good reviews. Paid $50 for a simple haircut, mainly to trim off my split ends. I had called to make an appointment, I also confirmed with the lady over the phone that it's my first time there and that it was for a haircut. She never mentioned anything about what kind of service just a haircut entails. Once I got there, I was welcomed by the friendly staff, the lady who washed my hair was very kind too. Andy (my coiffeur) was polite, but he cut my hair half-heartedly and when he was done, my hair was still wet, like dripping wet. I sat there and expected him to blow-dry my hair. He just looked at me and asked if I wanted to dry it myself. I was flustered... I later told the receptionist, and she said that I had booked for a haircut and that it didn't include drying my hair. It's ridiculous, I've never left any hair salon with dripping-wet hair. I don't blame them but all I can say is their system is absurd. The least they can do is let me know about it when I was booking the appointment. I am disappointed.

Edit: The salon has responded to my review stating they have no record of me in their system. Thats funny because according to my credit statement I was there on February 8th 2019 at 1:41pm. So now not only is the customer service terrible but they lie to cover it up. I went to get my haircut here back in February. I do not remember the stylists name and cannot find her on the "Team" section on the website any longer, perhaps she left. However, even though the haircut turned out okay, the experience left me not wanting to return. She was extremely rude, insulted my hair, barely spoke 3 words to me, told me "It doesn't matter how much money you spend on your hair products, your hair is still not looking great". The entire time I felt very uncomfortable and hesitant to speak to her as I was getting the feeling she did not want me in her chair. I had asked her for her professional opinion on transitioning my hair back to blonde after dying it brown for a number of years and she said she would call a colourist over and never did. The salon itself it very clean and looks great inside but the receptionists also did not seem to care. They need to work on their customer service and even though I may not look like their "ideal" clientele, I am still a paying customer and deserve to be treated with respect.

JADE ROCKS! I had googled ''best salon in Montreal for hair coloring'' and Deauville came up. I read many of the close to 1000 reviews, over 4 1/2 stars on 5 and decided to give it a shot. Jade was given the task. I arrived at the salon and was greeted with such a welcome from the reception. Loved it. Not more that 3 minutes later Jade introduced herself and brought me to my stall. We sat there for a few minutes talking about myself, my hair, what I like and don't like. She really did her research. She made a few recommendations and I went with it. What can I say. She is meticulous at what she does and does it with passion. You can tell. She is kind, beautiful inside and out and a pure professional. I have not had such a beautiful hair color result in so many years. I recommend Jade 10 stars. The salon is large and was a bit intimidating because of Covid. No need to fret. Everyone is wearing masks and you can see the constant densification happening all throughout my visit. I felt safe. This is my new go to place. If you are looking for a salon that delivers your visions, this is the place and Jade will make your vision come true. Can you tell I am so thrilled with my new hair? Try it!

Read this if you are a student! I'll write both negative and positive experiences that I had here. Yes I had a nice haircut with Martin. No I wasn't satisfied with the way salon treated me. Here it's the negative side of the story: I wish they were honest and elaborated more on their website about their different price range and different ways of calculations... Yes I read few comments to know which hairstylist should I choose but I didn't have time to go over all the ~700 comments to know they'll charge you dramatically differently. I believe the website should be a true reference at the first place which in their case it's not! . On their site they say: Cut and blow dry for women: 56$ While they charged me 90$ I asked them why? Do you charge people hourly? They said no, you maybe had a lot of hair!! I also asked them for a student discount, they asked how old are you? I said 29, they coldly said discounts are only for students under 25. Positive side: As my first experience in this salon, I had a wonderful pixie haircut and blow dry with Martin! He did exactly what I wanted and I'm honestly happy with the results. Also, he has a very nice and polite personality... I give his work 5 of 5 stars! For people who really want to find a professional hairstylist, I definitely recommend him. .... I know all of the negative things that I've mentioned are too trivial for most people but for students it's important so don't rely on their website at all. You'll be misguided. I won't go there again and I will discourage my friends to go there as well. At least not when they are still a full-time student...

Deauville will leave you feeling like you were HUSTLED systematically. NEW CUSTOMERS BEWARE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY, TIME, OR INTEGRITY. My experience as a new customer-was not treated well or with deserved professionalism, unless you are one of their existing regulars. I was greeted rudely by an older women receptionist who looks at you with a scowl, a nasty irritated tone and a 'judgmental once-over'. They charged almost DOUBLE of their price list posted online and not upfront about what you will pay until it is too late. For a simple basic trim, I paid well over $100 and it was a rip-off, here the hairstylist will intentionally overcharge as much as possible - just like any hustle they will evaluate what they can get from you rather than treat you fairly with respect as a customer. Even the hair washing is disappointing, not thorough to the scalp and don't expect any head massage. Deauville is one of those salons who decides which clients are worthy of good value service and those who are not.

I have gotten my hair cut at this place, three times. And I am always satisfied with the results; David is a talented barber who always recommends and excutes the best hairstyle for you. I highly recommend David to other already customers and potential customers as well. On a different note, I am giving 4/5 stars because in my last visit, there was a miscommunication error between the people who book the appointments and their system. Last Thursday, I had called in the early morning to book an appointment for my wife,my mother and myself.And although I had a time preference, I had to accommodate my schedule because the person who does coloring was only available at 4:30pm. After driving for over an hour from the South Shore,with heavy traffic, I was told at the main desk that there was no one for coloring and that the booking did not say anything about coloring, despite being told over the phone earlier to arrive at 4:30pm especially for that service. Then again at the main desk, the conversation turned into a sense of imposing what we have now, you must take it. My wife and I did not like the way we were spoken to, so we decided to cancel my wife and my mother's appointment (haircut).

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I went for the free bridal trial last week and I was super disappointed! My hair was ok, took 30 minutes - half of which was chit chat but when I got home I ended up undoing the hair because it wasn't nice. The makeup was horrible, one of the worst experiences, It took over an hour and i left there looking like a clown! I had to take off half of the makeup when I got home because I was too embarrassed to wear it out. What probably disappointed me the most was the snobby attitude the girls have there. I had purchased fake eye lashes for the trial. I have never seen such a miserable person behind the desk taking the payment. No smile, no thank you, complete lack of customer service. What a turn off! Overall I will not be returning.

Have been going to this salon for 3 years now and couldn't recommend enough. It's obviously not the cheapest, but you pay for quality and the staff's incredible amount of experience. If you're looking for a great cut and blow dry would definitely recommend asking for Jennifer. Not only is she a delight to talk to, but she's definitely an expert at what she does. As for hair colouring, I've been doing a balayage there annually for three consecutive years. Usually, the colorists don't give me exactly what I want, so always had to come back a second time ( free of charge) to get it redone.However, this year, for the first time, I had Nadia( a new addition to the group but an expert with more than 30 years of experience!) do my hair and honestly couldn't recommend her more. She's definitely highly experienced and skillful. Thank you again!

I am on vacation from England but I was happy to find an excellent barber to clean me up whilst I am out here. Very good hair salon for both men and women (i've been to so many downtown not one beats this place). Did my hair and eyebrows and they did an amazing job. The place is so modern and awesome they are a one-stop-shop for EVERYTHING you need beauty, makeup, hair, nails and spa wise. Excellent place. Alex and Paul are the best. Alex fixed my hair when others couldn't and would complain. She's also the best at balayage that looks out of magazines.One downside is it's expensive P.S. I don't recommend Karine (I think that's her name) she didn't do a good job at all and she was the initial girl I saw in this salon when I first went. She rushed me through and wasn't very pleasant and my hair legit looked the same before and after.

Having never gone super light (other than dark brunette) in my life, I knew I needed someone with experience and a keen eye for preserving the health of my hair when going for a light blonde balayage look back in the summer. Even with the lighter look, she managed to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny just as before. She definitely knows what she's doing and I look forward to changing up my look every time I go see her. STYLING: Jennifer is truly a ray of sunshine in the salon! She makes me feel glamorous 100% of the time! I go to her whenever I want to style my hair or need a trim/haircut. I had an appointment for cut and color. They made me wait an hour and they asked another stylist to do my color. She did it super fast since she had 3 clients simultaneously. My cut was with the stylist I had my appointment with originally. She cut just a bit and it was uneven. I didnt ask for a blowdry but she left my hair soaked wet. On top of that, the price was super high and the place was not clean at all. Very bad experience!

I would give 5 stars for the barbers but the reception is very disorganized and unprofessional. While taking an appointment over the phone I was told 15$ for my one year old girl which ended being 25$ at the front desk. When I mentioned the 15$, the lady started arguing as if I was lying. After verifying the notes on the computer, she then said we will honor it this time, but anyone could have picked up the phone and misinform. It was embarassing and disrespectful. Also, they do not have an option to tip their barbers unless you have cash very inconvenient.

Terrible customer service, and experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone . Just know if they make a mistake on you , one that is very obviously their fault they will not refund you , or admit it’s their fault. I was told my request would take two treatments only and it would be easy to do, however this was not the case at this salon .. I WOULD NEVER WANT SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSES HAIR! My experience was a nightmare, one that costed me 386$ (not including tip) and then another 400$ to correct the mess they did. In total 786$!!!! On top of the money i spent, my time was also lost, having to go to another salon to correct the damage they did because they had no other hairdressers to fix my hair, they just let me walk out of the salon with bright orange hair as if it was normal . I got a call back from the owner two hours later to come back to their salon so they can fix it for free, HOWEVER, saying I must pay for the products - By then i kindly did not accept the offer, since i was already at the salon across town! (Also my trust was gone.. Imagining the situation if they damaged my hair even more) Also I should mention i have already been asked to come back to this salon 3 times now in one month. This is what happened in the three times i went! First appointment : I was already blonde , and i wanted to be unified golden blonde meaning have my roots cover blonde , she confirmed its possible and put highlights, toner, and told me to come back next week so she could put a color on my roots to make me full blonde . I had no orange in my hair at this point . Second Appointment : I told her to be careful i'm seeing white streaks in my hair and i don't want that to be enhanced i even lied and said it must be from my last hairdresser, because i did not want her to be insulted . She didn't acknowledge my comment, and just did her thing . She coloured my roots bright orange which surprised me, but i trusted she knew what she was doing, and this must be part of the process so i accepted the orange on my roots ... Until i noticed i had grey streaks in my hair . I reached out to my hairdresser privately and she told me to come to her ASAP so she could fix it . Now this is my THIRD time coming to this salon, so you can understand how frustrating this is already ... I went back and to my surprise she turns my hair full orange and told me to book yet ANOTHER Appointment ; so a FOURTH time in one month cuz she can't get my hair right... Also the damage my hair was going through was becoming concerning to me . I reached out to them once my hair was corrected by another salon for a refund, but they refused my request, despite everything they put me through, they offered a 100$ gift card ONLY after damaging my hair, literally turning it full halloween orange, also the person offering me this was very sarcastic about the whole situation. They were not happy that i did not give them a Fourth chance to fix my hair and not willing to do the right thing at all!! Here are photos of my experience -unfiltered - with Deauville salon. You can make your own decision about this salon. FYI, i had to cut a lot of my hair off due to damage done by Deauville salon. Also my hair was corrected in one treatment by another salon, So it confirms to me it was not so complicated to give me what I originally asked Deauville salon to do. ( I’m not crazy whew ) If you’re looking for a good colorist be very careful when going here!! They do NOT seem to be knowledgeable with coloring blonde hair. We all know it's not easy to find a good colorist and if you decide to go here know that there will be no refund for damaging your hair, or turning it to a unnatural colour . I'm grateful for the colorist at Pure Salon who fixed the mess that Deauville Salon so unprofessionally left me with.. How unfortunate, for a company to treats its clients so poorly and not take accountability for their employees mistakes!

From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a very professional and welcoming staff. Then, I met my stylist Luisa who was just fabulous! Today I learned that hair washes are not created equal. I sat in the chair and Luisa washed my hair, shampooed it thoroughly and gave me a scalp massage from heaven! I've never experienced that before and I've been to a dozen salons. I was lulled into such a relaxed zone I almost fell asleep! lol. I was so relaxed in Luisa's chair that I closed my eyes and let her do her magic. Deauville used to be a 15 min drive away from my home so I decided to get my hair blow dried there. I had an appointment with Kerri and it was honestly the best blow out I ever had. I kept coming back and she even convinced me to get my hair cut. I am usually hesitant but she understood my concerns and made sure to cut my hair without making it look as I cut off too much. They quoted me for $200 including more than $60 early morning surcharge, and then also said they have to check if their stylist is willing to get up this early just for $200 and promised will call me back. No callback. Nothing. Worst customer service. Also lazy? I ended up booking a professional wedding makeup artist to do my hair and makeup for $120.

I’m a recent customer at deauville and despite its large space I still felt that homey aspect of it where you feel everyone knows you and they smile and are so welcoming. As for my hairstylist Louisa, I’ve been her customer for the past 10 years and will stay for more and more. I just tell her:” Louisa, I give you my head” and she does miracles. I leave a totally new person every time she does her magic on me. Dimitra, my colorist, has made heads turn towards me to ask me about my color. Great experience every time I go there.

Horrible service, horrible salon, they write their own reviews. I went there because, I saw the nice reviews. But it looks like they have their own writers/journalists who write nice articles about them since they get paid. You pay for the luxe of the salon, not for the haircut. Sonia is horrible, she dyes your hair first and then cuts them, who does that, the client asks for her to cut it first and then dye it but she refuses to listen, no flexibility. Then she charges you 300$ (while she said that the color was going to cost 90$ at the beginning). Result, color horrible, not able to even hide the white hair, she is incompétent! They steal your money, do not go there. A little suggestion for the salon, do not focus on nails, massages, hair, or butt treatment whatever you call them- focus in one thing since obviously you will lose all your clients as you are not able to satisfy them. You can always write fake articles and do tv reality to keep them entertained. Worst experience, I did not feel I pas being taken care of. Sonia pas trying to do as many clients as possible and she is not well trained with the latest trends, obviously the manager needs to put them in training to show the latest haircut trends instead of telling them to do as much $$$$. Poor customer expérience, felt guilty of going there and losing my money since my hair were destroyed. I couldn't put 0 since the lowest mark is 1.

This was my first time at Deauville. I went for a spray tan, Maggy was sweet and friendly. i had a great moment with her. Before booking my appointment, i went on their website and there was an offer for spray tan that says 45$ tax incl. (see attached). When i finished with Maggy and went to front desk, the lady asked me for 50$... so i showed her the promotion on their website and she told me that it expired. i got confused for a moment and told her: but it's on your website and there is no offer end date. So she ignored me for few seconds and told me that she will make an exception this time but next time it's 50$. what?? an exception for a pricing that is clearly listed on your promotion and that i'm eligible to. I didn't like the tone and the part where someone is trying to make me feel bad. Plus i just realised that by law, in Québec, i should have been eligible to compensation for price error. Anyways, after my experience with Maggy i really wanted to go back and maybe try other services but the lady ruined my moment. My advice to them would be to focus on front desk customer service because customer service is the most important part of a clients experience. i would also suggest to update their website if what she was saying is true because other clients won't like this. She really ruined my day. Following the above post - Melissa the Floor manager contacted me and explained that it should have never happened, that it was a human error and truly apologized. I appreciated the call because it showed that they truly care about their customers.- Thank you!

I wanted to try this place since its close to where I live and my 10+yr hairdresser moved to a different city. I don’t understand why this place is being so highly and frequently rated... Do they offer a discount if you post a good review? For a 90$ haircut (tip not included) it wasn’t up to my expectations at all. First I had to wait to get my hair washed, the lady didnt even ask what kind of products I wanted for my hair (Im blonde so I like the blue shampoo once in a while), the place is so big and everyone is running around like ants in an anthill (ie not relaxing at all), my haircut was ok but nothing special about it, I wasnt even offerred a glass of water or coffee, and my hair didnt smell good at all at the end. There are far better salons in Montreal. Dont mind paying 90$ when I get value for my money. This was not the case.

Finally when I decided that I should change, that's when I came across great reviews about the Deauville Salon, especially on Tanya. So when I finally decided to show up to my appointment, I was incredibly nervous, but I explained my situation. We sat down and she was incredibly patient and a great listener. She gave me suggestions as well. When we finally came into terms, and when the whole process of dying my hair was done which by the way she took her time without no rush and had her full focus and concentration towards my hair alone. The end result was beautiful in which even many of my clients came up and asking me where I get my hair done. I really do recommend her to anyone :) All in all, my change of colourist was really worth it. Really, thank you so much Tanya! :)

Entered at 5pm and left at 10pm. The color was the worst I have ever seen. I had asked for caramel color, but the end result was that Tweety was brown compared to me. I had to ask the hairdresser to fix the color 3 times, yet I walked out with a hat on my head and 350$ less on my pockets. The lady was very sweet but absolutely unable to carry the task. The manager did nothing to mitigate the damage; only waited until it was 10pm to close the salon. The morning after I went to another hair salon to have both the color and the cut fixed. I read amazing comments on this salon, I wish they had assigned to me a more experienced hair dresser. Too scared to go back, Will never go even close to it! This happened 1 year and half ago and it still burns!

Hi first time at this salon reading all the good reviews I came in feeling good since my last 3 salons did poorly had an appointment with Alex told her I had bad experiences that they cut my hair too short and I told her that I don't wanna look like a poodle well my hair is dry and I look like a poodle she didn't even show me the back I would of noticed it was expedited took 10 minutes bam 70$ plus a 10$ tip...it took me a long time to grow my hair and today all I can do is to try to make a ponytail try is the word bobbypin I need and she didn't ask me if I liked it???? Who does that...I feel sad and mad and will never go back I was looking for a hairdresser that listen and take time too bad I really wanted to like my experience now I avoid looking at myself in the mirror stuck with a poodle haircut I hate...

I am a frumpy stay-at-home mom, but when I left the salon I felt like Kate Middleton! The hsir cut was that good. The salon is HUGE, but everyone was friendly, upbeat, organized... in short, amazing. During the pandemic I have decided to spoil myself and I come to the salon every week. The measures put in place are outstanding and are crucial to a vulnerable customer like myself. With the ongoing pandemic, it is important for me to reach out and to encourage others to spoil themselves while they can remain safe. No travel. No restaurants for me. A beautiful blow dry on a weekly basis to take care of me. What I love most about the salon is the location, and the multiple services under one roof. Just recently I started doing manicures and pedicures with Shoumi. She is the best in Montreal. I realize that there is a risk for me sharing this best kept secret about Deauville because Martin will have so many new customers that will want to reach out to see how he can improve their style. But I do know that the personal relationship I have built with my hairdresser will not be affected because Martin always finds a way to take care of me, no matter how busy he is. I went in wanting Nanoplasty on my hair to remove the frizz from my curls and a shoulder length curly bob cut. I was told not to do nanoplasty - that i would not get the result i wanted - Botox was the way to go. And as for the cut - to come back in a week or two since they had to use the flat iron to activate the product. .. so basically i'd leave with straight hair. Theoretically - Ok so far. Two weeks later - my hair has no frizz - but no wave or curl either. The person doing the treatment used too much flat iron and basically removed any wave / curl I had. when I came back for my cut - i was told that my hair wouldn't curl like the pic I brought . I showed her a before picture of myself and said that my curls were very similar before to the picture I had now and I was hoping that a good cut would remove some weight from my hair to allow it to curl back up. She didn't do the cut I wanted - instead did a tiny trim and hardly any layers - and in the end - instead of diffusing and using products to have my hair naturally do it's curl (she said it would after the cut and more within the coming weeks) - she blowdried my hair and used a curling iron. What are we in the 1970's ? Am i 90 years old that you need to use a curling iron to give volume? The answer is no and no. Her reasoning was that I wouldn't have liked a shoulder length bob. How would she know? First time we meet . Very disappointed. Also - was charged a fortune for the botox treatment - which would have been fine if i'd have finished with what I wanted.

Not worth the price for men, especially if you have a full beard. Went in looking for a barber quality cut with stylist experience on long hair and found it to be very mediocre, especially for the price. Was booked with Karol, immediately felt very impersonal from the start. No introduction, other staff washes your hair, kept leaving to have conversations and would return unapologetic. Even made a snide comment at one point that I could soon do this myself. Once we got to the beard it was clear there was very little experience in trimming a full beard, I asked for a square and she cut in and made a messy triangle. This can be a man's worst nightmare after growing a beard for so long. I had to clean it up myself once I got home. I also asked about products such as beard balm/moustache wax and apparently there's only one specialist who "knows this sort of thing", and he was not present that day. There's no reason to pay such a premium when you can get the entire package, and a much better fade, for almost half the price at most barbers.

I was in Montreal for a wedding and decided last minute to get a blow out. Called Salon Deauville early morning and they fit me in that afternoon. Although I did wait about 20 minutes to be seen, I chalked that up to having made my appointment at the last minute and them squeezing me in. Stylist Louisa did my hair and she was superb ! When I'm back in Montreal ( which is often ) I will book another appointment. My daughter tagged along and they were able to fit her in for a pedicure in their full service spa. There is quite a buzz to the place. It has a cafe set up on the premises as well as some clothing and jewellery for sale. If you prefer a quiet salon where you fall asleep in the chair, this isn't it. But if you like lots of energy and activity in your hair salon, you won't be disappointed.

My sister and I had manicure pedicure there. The place is nice but I didn't like the nail polish part. First they didn't have the colour I wanted. Then the shellac colour I chose, there was barely any in the container. The lady had to tap it for each nail to get some on the brush and it was so thick that I ended up with a very thick nail polish on my nails. My 55$ pedicure chipped the next day. I won't be going back.

I decided to come here because of the ratings. This was a waste of time. I hated my experience. My stylist was nice. But the whole system work as other previous reviewers have said " like a factory". My stylist went off to work on her own hair. I didn't even bother going to the other area where they style your hair. Looking at my hair dried, well it could definitely use some toner........ I think a lot of the other people who review this place as great are caught up with the idea of it's uniqueness and glitzy presentation. It works just like a factory with poor results. The colourist I went to tried to pass off foil highlights as balayage. I may not do hair, but I've been getting my hair done since I was 12 so I would know basic differences. Also, I actually had to tell her assistant at the wash station how to place her hand so that the water wouldn’t splash onto my face. Why am I teaching basic wash techniques? Yes, they hover while you're getting a cut to make sure you like it once it's blowdried. But you really think I'm going to say anything when for the past 1.5h, you've been complaining non-stop about being there working since 7am? Guess my disappointment showed when I was paying and the girl at the front desk was really nice, especially after seeing how much it cost, and told me I'm welcome to return and get it fixed if I still don't like it after a few days. That's nice n all but I really don't have the time for that. With these reviews and prices, I expect the best. I feel like locals are just impressed by the renovated interior and don't know any better. Went to a different colourist at the same place and she did an ok job but still not quite up to my standards. Also have long, thick hair, so my colour would always run longer than booked and my poor stylist always ended up having to wait around. Speaking of whom, Lexi is an absolute pro! Got what I wanted the very first appointment even though it was in-between growing my hair out.

Takes care of my highlights and colour and does an exceptional job and is the sweetest! Giovanna usually styles and cuts my hair and she's great too :) I have also had my hair cut and styled by other stylists and they all have never disappointed me. Great salon and great ambiance, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Hi I had very bad experience with salon . For layer cutting it was very bad . I didn't found any layers after washing hairs . For hair color I asked for permanent color, it fades away with 2 washes only .
