My family has been coming here since I can remember and we always get great service and leave happy. I never feel pushed to try something I don't want. Not likely to stop coming any time soon--definitely one of the top in Toronto. Would recommend the hair dresser Gaby, as she's a perfectionist and amazing at what she does.

If you have an event coming up, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. WARNING: I went there and asked for my natural dark brown. I was a blond and my dark brown had already grown out. They just had to match it. My wedding was in two and a half weeks. They turned my hair black. I thought it was just me, but everyone said that my hair was black. So I called the salon, and they told me to wait a week and it will wash out into a dark brown. I waited two weeks, and it was still black. In a frenzy, I went to Civello where I normally go, and they fixed my hair after two hours into a dark brown. They also said they couldn't believe someone had use 'permanent" hair dye; and yes, it was black. Thankfully Civello fixed it. After my wedding, I called Paul Pecorella and was worried they'd be too embarrassed about what happened. I thought they would be overly apologetic for what they did to me before my wedding. After all, it wasn't just a typical mistake, it was a mistake before a big wedding. Instead, they became defensive. They questioned why I went to another salon. They said it was my fault for not coming in to show them my hair. I told them there's no way I'd have them fix my hair right before my wedding after they already made such a mistake. They should understand this. But they just refused to care. I mentioned to them that they don't seem to care about their customer or customer service. She kept saying how does she know I'm telling the truth. I explained I'm a teacher, it was just before my wedding, why would I lie? It is my experience that this place just wants their money, and you cannot trust their work. And if their work goes awry, they don't care enough to make it better for you. They don't have heart, and they just get defensive. I would go elsewhere. Ps When I mentioned I'd be willing to come in so they can see what two hours at Civello did, and they're free to call them, they said they'd already spent too much time on me. Again, they didn't want to understand where I was coming from and that they could have potentially ruined my wedding day and wedding photos. I didn't even bring this up. I just wanted an apology or even a refund. They were just defensive and irritated.

I stumbled upon this salon immediately after having the worst balayage experience at another salon down the street. The owner, Chiara who had no time to take any last minute appointments took pity and even though she had to leave for a funeral, she felt so bad for me, that she did my whole hair of balayage in literally 30 minutes! She would prefer to take her time and enjoy it but after what I just went through and the fact that she had to go to a funeral, she told me she'd have to work really fast and I was just grateful that she took me in. Her and I laughed at how horrible my hair was done and she was shocked that I got charged $145 for two tacky strands of highlight. She's been in the business 20+ years and did my entire head of balayage, the most beautiful work in 30 minutes and charged me $200 for my entire head filled with beautiful colours and tones. I get compliments on my hair everyday and I now finally have a regular stylist that I look forward to consistently going back to! Thank you so much Chiara for making me feel and look so much better the day before my honeymoon!

I only am giving 3 stars because ultimately I would trade my hair cut in if I could start over. Liza did my hair, she is a great hair artist, I have no doubt. I noted her style is very 80s (coming from someone old enough to recognize the 80s in hair!) My concern was once I went home and went to pull it up in bun is when I really noted just how short she cut it. I do appreciate the shape, that is something she got right, however I had said as soon as I sat down. I am growing it out, I do not want length taken off it, I want it thinned out with shape so that its not feeling so heavy My hair is missing 2-3 Inches. Honestly, It upset me because its at least 6+ months of hair growth for me. I still have heaviness in my hair so it was shaped but not really thinned out enough in the end. My suggestion, Liza is a great stylist, for sure, but be very clear about your rules, I didn't pay attention and was chatting to her too much, and I should have noticed - if you want your hair a certain length or not, be sure to monitor it and make sure to clarify it as you watch her cut. Otherwise, she really is good with shape and texturizing hair. The salon itself is very clean, professional, friendly staff

I had an appointment with Liza and she was such a fantastic hair stylist! She listened carefully to what I wanted, and also made suggestions to make the cut even better. I'm so glad I trusted Liza's vision because my haircut turned out even better than I imagined! She made me feel comfortable and confident. Please do yourself a favour and book an appointment with her. You won't regret it :)

They trick people to get services and overcharge you in the end. It is unfair to charge extra at the counter when the actual price that they conveyed in the beginning is something different. It is a basic responsibility of any business to maintain transparency about pricing and services. You cannot overcharge as per your convenience at the end of the service. This kind of unethical and unprofessional behaviour doesn’t bring you any customers and growth. Even though I liked the stylist lady who did my haircut, the other guy who overcharged me for my highlights after what you promised something different in the beginning is unfair. You lost a customer who actually wanted to recommend this place to friends and visit again. But if customer loyalty mean nothing for you guys there is no point in having a business. This is to the guy who literally left his client and came to the counter (although he didn’t do the my services) just to overcharge me!Hats off to your dedication to cheat customers. Please learn some business ethics as well.

First hair salon I've been to where I experienced pain during their dye job. I never write reviews and don't have a yelp account. This place was so frustrating that I actually had to sign up to warn others. I asked for a dark brown and they dyed my hair another colour. When I called to complain, they said to give it time. When I called to complain again, they said that now it's too late and they don't believe me. This place must be an amateur hair salon, as good hair salons have amazing customer service and this place, it's like I stepped into somewhere uncivilized. They just argue with you without hearing you or empathizing. Do no go here. They don't do hair well, or customer service.

I did my haircut today with Liza. She is a great hair-stylist with a friendly attitude. Liza was very gentle with my hair, I so enjoyed the process itself. I'm very satisfied with the shape, the result exceeded my expectations. I think I never said it before about my haircut.

Awful experience. Made a bad mistake when I bought a prepaid card for a future haircut. Gabriella spent about 5 minutes "layering" my hair and then about 20 minutes trying to fix it after I showed her all the unequal layers in the front. Didn't end up giving me a blow dry and all the receptionist had to say was 'I don't know what is going on with her today. Don't know what to tell you ". Waste of my money and time. Livid with this experience. Do not go.

The worst salon I’ve ever been. They burnt down my under eyes with hot wax, plus under my eye brow. I couldn’t sleep whole night, because I couldn’t put my face down. And somehow they chargers 125$ for blow dry of my hair. I have never felt this ripped off in my life. I wish I could show photo of my burns here. I don’t even know Where to report these people. Very unprofessional staff.

Yikes. I went to this place because I LOVE Aveeda products. But man, I'm sooo happy Civello also has Aveeda products, as well as good colour technicians and amazing customer service. I will never go back to this Paul Pecorella place as they gave me a horrible experience while there, and when I called to explain about my experience and how I had to go elsewhere to fix their job, they just dismissed me. Horrible salon.

Louie the hair dresser was not able to evenly cut my straight very easy hair and one side was way longer than the other. I was in a rush and didn't look too closely at it since it was just a simply hair cut and someone on the street actually noticed and told me that my hair was uneven (how embarrassing)! I went back the next day and they fixed it but I wanted to get a refund of a gift card I bought to the salon and they didn't do refunds. I told them that I would never come back here and just got the gift card a day ago but they said there was nothing they could do, which is obviously not true, they just didn't want to. Very bad experience at this salon with both the cut and customer service and will not be recommending it to anyone.

Finding a hair dresser who is incredibly attentive, personable and listens to what the client wants is very rare these days. I travelled out of town from Alberta with a hair color that washed me out and made me a weebit self-conscious. My appointment with Amanda-Jean fixed that and surpassed my expectations. I shall never go to anyone else. Yes, she is that worth it. A+++++

Just had my hair cut by Nandi. It was my first time there but I won't be going back. Nandi herself was lovely but my hair is awful. I have very thick hair and it was all one length (about 2-3" past my shoulders when I arrived), so I asked for layers. Once she made the initial cut, it was too full/pouffy so I asked her to get rid of some of the bulk. This is where things went downhill. By the time she finished, not only could I no longer put my hair into a bun, but some of the layers are no more than 3" long from the top of my head. Seriously! It's very Jennifer Aniston circa 1990 but I wanted Kate Middleton circa now.

They lure you in the consultation part with lower prices and then when you are there Nandi the Sr stylist charged me the top price for only highlight no hair cut no blow drying my hair in the end, the service was not complete. I will not recommend the place to anyone.. what a a total Rip off.

I had my first haircut at this salon 9 years ago, and don't go anywhere else. Gabriela is really good, she always gives good advice on what haircut would and would not look good on me, and she's never been wrong. Now my daughters want Gaby to do their hair. I would highly recommend this place.
