I tried out several local places (several times each), but I always ended up with a look that I didn’t like, many many professional haircuts that were sometimes embarrassing. Finally gave mark a chance and not only did I find the haircut/style I liked, but I was proud to say I received the best haircut I had ever had. He always trims my beard and hair better than I have ever received elsewhere. I stay with mark because he’s proven himself with my high standards, over and over again.

Dan and Mark are fantastic barbers. I have been going here for the past few years and every cut has been exactly as ordered. They spend an hour with each client and actually book appointments unlike most other places in the area. This is a huge value for me as I do not have time to wait around. They have always gone above and beyond to fit me in when they are fully booked, which is often. I have referred several people here and each one thanked me afterwards, I highly recommend the shop. These guys are awesome.

GM Barbershop was the first and only place I went to when I moved to Cranbrook. On my first trip I accidentally didn't make an appointment and even though Mark was about to close he snuck me in anyways. Talk about a great first impression. On top of being super welcoming, him and his staff are exceptionally skilled and take their time to do the cuts right. I recommended my roommates to GM and they loved it as well - they also immediately turned into repeat customers. If I didn't just move back to Alberta I'd still be going to GM - irreplaceable.

I have lived in Calgary, Vancouver, Kelowna, Halifax, Edmonton, Whistler, Red Deer... This is hands down the best barber shop to visit. Note: you wont walk in and get a hair cut without an appointment but hey, you don't walk into a fine dinning restaurant and get seated without reservations either. You want the best of the best, you plan for that! Mark and his crew are the best. It's that simple.

It was my second time getting a haircut here and even though it was quite sometime between visits they were just as amazing as the first. It’s not often I get a haircut where they put so much effort and attention to detail. Most barbers I’ve been to in calgary are more focused on getting you in and out as fast as possible so they can take in more clients. Not these guys. Also, Marcus and Dan are so down to earth it’s as if we’ve been friends for a while despite only 2 visits. My only regret is I didn’t stick with them during my lengthy absence since I was more concerned about getting a last minute quick cut. I won’t make that mistake again. I look forward to many more visits, thanks guys!

Dan the Barber gave me a great haircut. Although he was a few minutes behind schedule, in his defense, I did call that morning and he got me in a chair. The Barber also cleaned up and trimmed my beard. Very pleased with my experience, definitely shall return.
