This is the place I trust for my hair and it’s Colour. Service here is exceptional and everyone knows you by your first name as you are there. The storm team are super friendly and I walk out of there looking and feeling fabulous.

90$ for a haircut and the lady was arguing with me after I told her my bangs were uneven. She didn’t even cut them shorter she just thinned my hair out more, never going here again. I also asked for long layers in my hair and they are normal length layers, she straightened my wavy hair to cut it so now my hair is shorter than I wanted it to be. The day after the haircut I showered in the morning and my boyfriend noticed every single hair was a different length and My hair was super super short lol, really ruined my morning. This place is Overpriced, Should’ve just cut it myself or at least went somewhere cheaper. Everyone is nice but the haircut wasn’t, I like the atmosphere of the place, it’s clean and very Modern but it’s way to cramped and small for so many people running around. This is a photo of the haircut before and after I just got it done, after my hair was washed and curled up it became almost a Willy Wonka Bob. I regret even cutting my hair.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First off I would like to point out that I'm not one to leave reviews. My appointment was four days ago and I still am really bothered with the experience I had at this salon. I'm a student here and have been going to the same professional stylist back home for years. Due to my busy schedule this semester I couldn't find the time to go back home. I did my research and saw lots of good reviews and posts from this salon. I also really liked how it was an Aveda salon like the one I go to at home. Aimee was my colourist and I had shown her a distinct photo of WHITE blonde balayage hair which is what I have already, I just wanted a touch up. She began taking random pieces of hair throughout my head - maybe 6 in total. She looked really confused the whole time which was very unsettling. It turns out the confused look on her face was for a reason. From the many many years I have been blonde I have never not had a toner put in to my hair. She decided to skip a toner and just use a purple shampoo. After she was done washing my hair she stated "Okay, I'm going to warn you, its a little golden." That is the last thing someone with ASH blonde hair wants to hear. To my dismay, my hair had 6 pieces of what looked like orangey-yellow tones throughout my hair. I went back and she said I had the option of toning it BUT my hair will be more brown than blonde (???????). Like I mentioned, I am a student and this is not a cheap salon by any means, so instead of putting my faith in the person who just dyed my hair GOLDEN blonde I asked for my money back. They gave me $50 back at first. I went home and was still very upset by this and called. I spoke to the receptionist, another lady and FINALLY the owner who told me what a reputable company this has been for 20 years but still had the audacity to say I was being quote "ridiculous" for simply asking for my money back. All in all, after this whole issue I had to take time off school and work to go all the way back home and get it fixed. My hairstylist at home said it looked as though she didn't leave the developer on for long enough which is what caused it to go orange. There are still distinctive spots that could not be fixed that I will have to go back in a months time to get sorted. This was an awful experience overall and I would never recommend this "professional" salon to anyone. Shame on them.

On Monday, I came in for a simple haircut. I only asked two things; that my hair was not cut past my shoulders, and that I wanted layers to thin out my hair because it is thick. What I received was embarrassing. The stylist had split my hair into two - the bottom layer and the top layer - from there they had cut the bottom layer super short (just at my shoulders) and then the top layer was left long. At the end of the haircut, they had stated that they “did not blend the two layers together so that it gave the impression of layers.” I did not ask for the impression of layers, I had asked for layers. I realized that this haircut was not great, but I do not like to make scenes or create situations, so I thanked the stylist, paid and left. When arriving home, I looked at my hair and it was completely - as said by another hair stylist not at your studio - botched. My hair did not blend well, my hair was uneven and chunky in places. Below I have attached a close up picture of my hair as an example. Today I went to another hair salon to get it fixed and the stylist there outright told me that they had no idea what the stylist at your establishment was thinking, and due to how uneven my hair was, we had to cut more off than anticipated in order to fix what he had done. This is not the first time I have been disappointed with your service. A year ago I came here and although I did like the haircut I received, the stylist who did my hair complained the entire time about how I should have told reception that I wanted extensive things done to my hair and that it would take a long time - I only wanted a wash and a cut. The money I paid at your establishment I knew was pricy, but I since you had a good reputation I was fine with paying for quality. However, I did not receive that, and after these last two experiences I will not be coming there again.

Loved the level of customer service provided at Storm. From having the door opened for me as I walked with a cane at the time, to being offered a drink, then a wonderful Aveda scalp massage and a beautiful cut, I was thoroughly impressed. Clean, beautiful, and hopping with clientele and stylists. There is ample parking for a downtown salon in the rear of the building and a wheelchair accessible ramp. Looking forward to my next appointment.

The staff was definitely friendly and gave you a great pampered experience. However, I got a full set of highlights last week and really regret it. My stylist left bleach in my hair for over 2 hours, she wasn't working efficiently so my bottom layer got completely destroyed from having bleach in it for so long. I paid almost 160$ for just the highlights, no hair cut or style. And the colour hardly changed. My hair is really damaged and I am beyond disappointed in the results. My roots are still there and that was my original reason for going. I really wanted to like this place because of the nice staff and comfy treatment but I paid too much money to destroy my hair and not see much difference in colour.

WORST HAIR CUT EVER! I ALMOST CRY AFTER SEEING THE RESULT! I never cry after getting a hair cut before, but now I am and will be for the next 1 month. If you aren't feeling well, then go home and rest, I pay $58 and that's not the excuse I want to hear after giving me such a terrible hair cut. I show you a picture of the haircut I want, SERIOUSLY, LOOK AT IT MORE CAREFULLY WILL YOU? THE HAIRCUT YOU GIVE ME IS NOTHING CLOSE TO IT. IT'S WAY SHORTER IN THE FRONT AND THE BACK! I ask to have my front bang cut around my eyebrows, not ALMOST TWO FINGER away from the eyebrows, not just a little bit but enough space to fit TWO FINGERS! "Your hair will grow out quickly" ?!!? How quickly? 2 week? 3 weeks? 1 month? Why do I go to a professional hair salon to get a haircut just so for the next 1 month I have to pray that my hair will grow quickly enough so I don't look this stupid anymore! I should have just walked out after you make me wait like 15 minutes even though I do have an appointment. You lose more than just one customer today, and I can promise you that I will share this unpleasant experience to as many people as I can. Goodbye.

I booked an appointment to this place because of the high reviews on google. Honestly i was disappointed... not so much on the outcome but on the service. I called in to book an appointment and i specifically said i wanted a full hair color..so my whole head was going to be dyed. As i walked in and sat down with the lady that colored it (i believe was anne marie) she touched my hair and said she only had 20 to 30 min with me. Excuse me? But dying your entire head takes much longer than 30 minutes which i made clear with the lady who booked my appointment. She kept telling me next time to book for an "ombre" that way she has more time with me. However i did not want an "ombre" i wanted 1 solid color. Also it should never be ur customers issue that YOUR STAFF over booked. You shouldnt be lecturing them on what to tell the person on the phone.. all we know is COLOR & CUT. I never said highlights..i never said root touch up.. i said full hair dyed. So if you overbook, either reschedule someone else or let them wait. The entire time she seemed very rushed. She assured me that she would TRY to do what i wanted and as soon as her next client came in she was swinging her brush so fast she was dropping hair dye all over the floor and throwing towels on top of it. It was not very professional especially to witness after the first time being there. She seemed to care more about her next customer than the one sitting in her chair. May i also add that she was chewing gum the entire time..people who are working with hair should not be chewing gum. Um what if that falls in my hair?! On the other hand the girl who cut my hair was wonderful . She is the only reason i gave this 2 stars and not 1. She talked to me about life got to know me a little bit. And she did a great job. Her name was hannah (i think). Which surprised me because i believe she told me she was fairly new. Unfortuntaly i would never go back to this place nor would i ever recommend it. Not worth the amount of money i am paying for someone to be in such a hurry.

I have given storm 2 chances to prove that they are a great salon. My hair is short so I don't consider that it should be difficult to cut. However, both last year and this year after very distinct instruction to my stylist Amy, my hair was cut so short I looked like a man. I was devastated. This was the second time, she did the same thing the year before when I tried Storm the first time. I truly don't understand how when you give a stylist good instruction on how you want your hair, you get the total opposite. The prices at this salon are very expensive but I was willing to pay the price for the great service. I called the salon later that day to complain about my hair. The receptionist Rachel told me that she would set me up with a new stylist for my next appointment. I was quite happy about this and she assured me that this would be kept confidential and I would be seeing a stylist on the upper level. When I came for that appointment, Amy kept starring at me while I was waiting to be taken upstairs. Finally, she came over to me and insisted she would walk me up for my appointment. I was so embarrassed. I should have left but was just stunned at what just happened. Because of this very unprofessional and childish act, I would never go back to Storm.

I love storm. The staff are very kind and professional. I had my hair cut by Dan, and he is a gem. He worked some kind of magic and turned my frizzy long waves into a gorgeous wavy Bob. I had a bit of a wait for my appointment and they gave me a discount, which was a very pleasant surprise. I have agoraphobia and anxiety which makes it hard to go out and be around people, but going to storm has always been a pleasant, pampering experience for me. I'll definitely be going again soon!

For the 2 years i have been living in Niagara, i have been going back to Toronto for my hair treatment needs but not anymore. My first appointment at Storm, St. Catharines turned out to be the best hair colour (Lakekin) and hair cut & styling (Hannah) i have ever had. They totally transformed me, way beyond my expectations and at the same time were delightful company during the 2-1/2 hrs i was there, The salon itself puts the premier salons in Toronto and New York to shame. Designed with the comfort of their clients in mind, this salon is tech-friendly with a cool vibe and a warm heart. Customer service is awesome ...there was always someone at hand to make my day and considering that there was a steady stream of clients, the atmosphere was zen-like calm. The complimentary head massage by Lakein prior to my colour session set the tone and from then on i was totally stress-free. My guy was so thrilled at my transfornation that he insisted on taking me to Queen's Landing for a second Valentine's celebration. Looks like I'll be at Storm more often than is necessary ☺

I was in heaven today - not the one with the pearly gates, but close to it. This was my first visit to the salon and Katrina and Amie worked their magic! They transformed my bad "do" (the kind worthy of wearing a bag over your head kind of "do") that I got from another salon and wow, what a difference! Well I had high expectations for this place because of the good reviews, but my experience was not very satisfactory. Starting with the lack of communication from the girl who was going to dye my hair. I wanted to go from dark to a lighter colour and all she said was she couldn't do it because my hair was very dark but she could do a similar colour then she showed me some colours and I chose one that was a little bit lighter and well at the end my hair was the same like come on and I told her what can I do to achieve a lighter colour and she said that I had to get highlights:- like whyyyy didnt she mention it in the first place like you are the specialist like I just wasted over 100 for nothing like I feel robed! Honestly the girl was not very friendly.

I didn't speak to my first experience at this salon, because my stylist and I had a language barrier and I didn't leave with what I asked for. However, my second cut with Ian was everything I could have asked for. Ian cut my hair to perfection. He understood what I wanted, gave me tips on products and how to style my hair. I couldn't be happier, and I've found my person for all future cuts.

Storm offers a pleasant experience - nice people, busy but not too noisy, relaxing music. But the quality of service I received did not meet my expectations. The cut was a great one, but not what I asked for. And the colorist, who spoke very knowledgeably, left my hair with chunks of color rather than subtle blending.

This was my first salon visit in probably six years. I asked friends for recommendations, and heard very good things about Storm. Everything about the process was easy. Getting an appointment that worked with my schedule (but don't expect same-day; this salon is busy, for good reason). finding a stylist with experience dealing with my hair length, parking. The salon is well-equipped, bright and sunshiny, warm and welcoming. The complimentary neck and shoulder massage was a delightful surprise, and the coffee was good. Maddy was my stylist; she is a talented, friendly and charming young woman. My cut is excellent, and she was very intuitive about styling my hair. Beginning to end, this was an excellent experience and I recommend Storm without reserve.

Staff are very polite and courteous but unfortunately the kudos end there. My colourist did a terrible job..i wanted deep red and came out with brassy orange. I went home first to collect my thoughts before calling the salon (15 minutes after leaving) to voice my displeasure. I was given another appointment (same day ) to correct colour. I will point out that in addition to being almost orange, my colour was uneven, missed spots, and was all over my face and ears. I returned and the same colourist applied a darker colour. When I pointed out areas that were missed I was told "no - your hair is just uneven" side note: my hair is cut ultra short (almost fully shaved) and was cut that same day by her coworker. I also pointed out that there was (very visible) dye stains around my temples, ears, forehead..I was told "oh, that will wash off at home" and that was that. Complete waste of $167 - never again.

I felt pampered, relaxed and totally comfortable. My Stylist gave me care, not just service, so it felt entirely personal. Daniela is now 'my person' when it comes to all things scalp/hair. I liked what she did for my wife's hair and that's why I asked for her. BUT, there's more to Storm--free ample parking, coffee/beverages, cheerful front desk reception, cleanliness, and smiles. They also carry a fine line of products! I purchased a conditioner that I'm very happy with. They take a variety of payment types, too... so thank you for that! Just make an appointment and ENJOY!

I haven't had my haircut in a long time however now I remember why. The wore a bracelet that kept smacking me in the head while she washed my hair. Yet after explaining it to her she still didn't take it off, probably because her English needs some work. They gave me the simplest trim, doesn't even look like I had my hair cut in the first place. After all was done the cost was outrageous for what I received. $73+ tip total of $80 and a child would have given me more structure. Granted it might not be even, but it wouldn't have cost me $80 So unsatisfied. Save your money don't bother!!

A really talented and knowledgeable stylist named Stephanie gave me my hair cut. I would recommend her. Long story: Sept. 19th, I called in the morning asking if I could get a hair cut the same day. There was an opening. The receptionist was pleasant and professional. I loved the scent in the reception area. I wish I knew what it was. Stephanie looked at my hair and I only had to say a few words. She explained why I was having problems and what to do to fix it. She was professional and precise in her cutting. Exactly what I want in a stylist. Very nice interior. And it seemed pretty busy. They offer beverages. Nice people all around.

My usually place to go for my hair cuts. Today I waited 45 minutes for my stylist to show up. No one told me she wasn't there.she didn't understand English very well. Didn't get what I asked for. I like what she did. But she went to short. . Not a happy lady.

I came in last minute for a simple trim and got more than what I expected! My stylist Mia (I hope i spelled that correctly) did an amazing job. She was super friendly and social with me the whole time. She also made sure I was comfortable with everything and gave me tips and suggestions on how to fly my hair. I didn't even know I had curly hair until she blow dried and diffused my dead wavy hair. I'm very pleased with the outcome and would recommend to anyone!

Called the salon for a same day colour, they were able to fit me in which was great. Soleil was so amazing! She did a wonderful job on my colour. She’s super professional and knows her stuff. I highly suggest going to see her for all your colour needs. Alex and Rachel did my wash and blow dry, super sweet ladies as well and they both did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this salon! I won't call out my individual stylist (Storm can reach out to me if they want to know who it is) but I received terrible service from them. I asked for my bangs to be trimmed and she cut more so now they are ruined until they grow out in a few months. For the rest of my hair, it's clear she didn't know how to cut curly hair and just chose to cut it straight instead. My hair looks ridiculous now and either takes 45 minutes of styling or I put it up. Wouldn't recommend if you want anything beyond a standard straight hair cut.

Expensive, but definitely worth the money. Ive got my hair cut by a newbie and also someone who has been there for a long time. Both were the haircuts that I have been happiest with in my lifetime, compared to everywhere else Ive been. Would recommend spending the extra money if you are someone that usually goes somewhere a little more price friendly... Have never got any colouring done here, so not sure how that is, but Im guessing it's just as amazing as their cuts!

I came in with hair that I had bleached, dyed, and stripped, with raggedy ends and hints of green; I left with natural-looking, shiny, beautiful hair. Tuyen is a colour wizard who not only did an incredible job correcting the mess I made, but she also took the time to explain to me how the process worked and was a delight to chat with. Mia swept in at the end and took my vague "I like these pictures" and turned it into exactly the right low-maintenance, but still stylish, medium-length cut with awesome long bangs. I left feeling GREAT, and that is how it should be! Thank you Storm team - you rock!

I've visited this salon twice for a haircut and had a great experience both times. The first time was last year with Serena and she was excellent. She did a great job and I was very happy. The second time was this past Saturday with Paul and I am in love with my new haircut! I would highly recommend this salon and both stylists. They are both wonderful people and are very talented at what they do.
