Absolutely LOVE this place! Tina is amazing - she REALLY knows hair. You know how some people are great working with their own hair type but not others (curly, thick, fine, straight)? Not Tina; she takes the time to feel your hair out and will collaborate with you on a style that you'll love. The Kevin Murphy product line they carry is amazing as well, I'd never heard of it before I went there but now I'm hooked. It's made a world of difference in my hair and it feel healthier than it has in years. I can't say enough good things about this place, they'll make you feel at home and they never pressure you to purchase products (but I do recommend you ask them about the Kevin Murphy line, you won't regret it).

I have had several poor experiences with the owner of this salon, if you are not her direct client she is rude and disrespectful. I was here this past weekend and my child was getting her hair cut while the owner’s dog came up to her. My child is afraid of dogs and add that with being in a vulnerable position with your arms tucked under the cape. I told her my child is afraid of dogs and the owner stood there for a moment before saying “well this is HIS house”. Then I asked what she does if her clients do not like dogs and she says “they don’t come here”. I still cannot get over how incredibly inconsiderate and rude this was, especially in front of a child. We are clearly not welcomed here, and if you don’t want to be approached by a dog while at the salon, I’ll do the owner a favor and tell you to go somewhere else as well.

I have been a client of Metric for over 10 years. Not once have I ever had a bad experience. From the friendliness of the team, the comfort of the washing stations, the quality product used, the attentiveness, the cleanliness and the fact that things are consistently on time! Not to mention the sweet senior pug pup Bonsai, who is always fast asleep in the corner. It all adds to the comfort experience at Metric! (Especially as a dog lover) I appreciate honesty and the place it has in business. When it comes to my self care; while I know what I want, I also need the experienced, educated professionals in their field to guide me. I feel that the owner and the team of Metric have my best interest at heart when I have my hair done, I feel this is why I have never walked away unhappy! If you are looking for a great experience where you are seen, heard, appreciated and have amazing hair to boot...then Metric is your place!

Friendly fun and helpful staff always a blast when I visit. They offer helpful styling advice what works and what dosent for my hair style and for my face shape along with my personality and actually taught me how to style my hair so I could always have nice hair not just when i leave. And also helpful tips to improve the health of my hair. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I was leery about seeing a new stylist after my usual stylist moved away, but had heard good things about Metric and thought I'd try them as they're close to home. Was booked with Shae who listened to all my concerns and looked through photos with me. She did an amazing cut and style that was exactly what I wanted. Only complaint was it was a much longer appointment than expected or planned but she took the time to cut it well. Definitely will return to Shae!

From the moment you step into the Metric Salon you are greeted with class, sophistication, and a pleasant ease. The decor is fresh, modern, and welcoming, coaxing you into comfort before you even hit the chair. The desk staff is friendly and accommodating, offering to take your coat, grab you a variety of beverages, and guiding you to the cozy couches. I waited less than 2 minutes for Tina to come and greet me! To say this is the best service I have received from a salon is an understatement. From the scented scalp massage to the gloriously relaxing wash station, every step is a phenomenal experience. Tina really listened to what I was looking for and added her own suggestions as per her expertise. She is a such a pleasure to speak with, easy to laugh, and really made my time with her so wonderful. Metric welcomes you as part of the family and I can definitely say I have found my hair home!

I have very curly hair (type 3/4 curl pattern) and have always had trust issues with people cutting my hair but she does an amazing job and gives my hair such an amazing shape as well. If I could give a zero I would. Tina have me the worst hair dye job ever. I had two big chunky strands in front of my face and the rest was so blended could not even see a difference. When I told her I was not happy with it, she was rude and said she could not fix it and that it is what it is. I had to pay full price !Throughout the whole process she was asking one of her associates who seemed way younger for help in regards to what "volume she should use and the associate stated " next time i will show you how I place the color naturally around the face". Even she knew she messed up! If your the owner and hairstylist I don't think you should need help of your associates to figure things out. Worst experience and had to get it redone at another salon that was way more professional and did it right , even they stated they had no idea why it was done so poorly.

The owner of this hair salon is professional and warm-hearted. She gives the haircut and style of your request~ always. Tina really listens to what you want, what your lifestyle is like - then adds in her own expertise to give you the perfect cut. And the perfect colour. I have had highlights, low lights and everything in between and loved them all. Right now Tina is bleaching my hair, and she sourced out THE BEST colour for my hair. Best service I've ever got at hair salon!! I went there because a promotion an I'm going to come back because of Quinn - she is fabulous!! I have a very difficult hair - thick, wavy and stubborn. Hairdressers never knew how do deal with it, but not Quinn! She gave me the most beautiful and flattering haircut I've ever had! And it looks great with or without styling. Also, another comment mentioned the chairs in the salon - very true! The chairs are super comfortable. It was very important for me since I had some serious back problems, ans was very anxious about sitting there for too long. Overall - excellent place, excellent talent, nice stuff, beautiful design and fair prices!
