She’s the only stylist I’ve ever been to that I left feeling 100% happy with my hair and the service i received from her. Nothing but good things to say about this place. I brought in a picture of the colour I wanted and I left with the exact colour. Dominic (I'm sorry if I spelt your name wrong) was very helpful in talking to me about what is good for my hair, and that going darker was better than lighter. He was very friendly and helpful. Tori did a great job the day I got it dyed. She was super friendly and clean; I left with 0 colour on my skin, so no need to scrub off purple later. I will for sure be going back here. Definitely one of the better barbers in Burlington, perhaps the best. They really know their clients well, and always provide the right cut. In my case, I don't even need to specify what I want, even though I am probably one of hundreds of costumers, and I go infrequently. Furthermore, their customer service is excellent, and you are always welcomed with kind hospitality. If you're seeking a better cut, I would fully recommend this place. However, do remember to book in advance; it's not a walk in barber. :)

I have gone to numerous hair salons throughout my life, but after going to Fate Hair Salon, I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff and atmosphere is so welcoming, and it I’d very clean and professional. Julian is a literal gift from God I have never had someone perfect my blonde hair the way he does. I receive SO many compliments after he does my hair, and I have recommended all my friends and family to this salon. Overall, 10/10!!!

I recently moved to Burlington from Toronto and am looking for a new stylist. I chose Fate Hair Salon primarily because it has such great reviews but I was extremely disappointed by my experience. My appointment was with Carlo, apparently one of the owners. He barely spoke to me, spent about 2 minutes actually cutting my hair, and spent about 15 minutes "styling" it. This involved drying and spraying copious amounts of hairspray on my hair while whipping my head and hair around. I had to stop myself from asking him if he was whipping me in the face with my hair on purpose. When I went to pay, the receptionist asked me if I was here for my haircut - not great praise for my "new do" by one of the alleged owners. As I was leaving he yelled out "bye!" almost as if the whole thing had been a joke. I was in and out in 30 minutes. It goes without saying that I won't be back. I'm not sure why my experience was so different from what I read in the reviews but it truly was not pleasant.

I love this salon. The staff is by far the best! Doesn't matter who you go to see they are all awesome. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet. I've been coming here since they opened and will never stop coming here unless I move too far away or they close. Prices are up there but it's a salon and you get what you pay for. It was my first time as someone recommended me to try this. I was hugely disappointed with everything. The hair stylist behaved like a novice as she doesn't know how to cut hair. I told her clearly what kind of style I want but she did the opposite.This is my worst hair cut so far and they are so overpriced.. I told the person who booked my appointment that I m coming first time and still he booked me with someone who doesn't know anything about haircut..Hugely disappointment. I have been going to Tori for 2 years now and she is beyond knowledgeable, she is always updating her training and keeping up with the latest trends. This place has very bad customer service. I had really bad experience, I reached this place at 2.50 for my 3pm appointment and they asked me wait. Another person walked in after 3 , she was greeted at door and taken in for her service. I waited for a couple more minutes and nobody attended to me!! I left the place without getting a haircut. Never coming back here!

I had such an amazing experience at Fate Hair salon. Tori did my hair BEAUTIFULLY and was so kind and helpful!!! She went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable while she worked her magic. Have been a client if Domenic’s since I was in high school (almost 30 years!!!) I followed him years ago when he opened Fate and I would not go anywhere else in the GTA. I can’t rave enough about the artistry and quality of cut, colour and styling and not just Domenic but co-owner Carlo and the rest of the team. They have always so graciously accommodated my difficult work schedule which doesn’t allow me to book appointments well in advance. As you can imagine with such high-level service they are a very busy salon but they always find a spot for me ASAP and I know that I will come out looking fresh and stylish no matter who’s chair I end up in. Not an appointment will go by where I am not offered a water, coffee or tea by a team member and I can not think of a single time I have walked out of that salon without a smile on my face. From start to finish of your experience they make everyone feel welcome and a new client would instantly know from the chemistry between each of the team members the type of comfortable atmosphere they have created at Fate.

I have very thick, wild hair and this is the first hairdresser where can be in and out in 45 mins- I always leave feeling amazing. Carlo and his team make sure to guide me with good decisions around my colour and highlights so my hair keeps healthy. Carlo is a high quality stylist and owner of a very classy salon. I booked online conveniently and got an appointment within a couple of days. I had Julian do my toner and wash and Sarah do my cut. Both were gentle, took their time and paid attention to detail. I find that I tend to experience great difficulty when it comes to finding someone who knows how to properly deal with what I call my mane. I have A LOT of long, thick, curly, uncooperative hair. My hair is very heavy so it doesn't hold salon curls, it gets very frizzy, and it takes quite long to heat style or style in general. I have walked out of many hair salons completely disappointed because they have cut off too much of my hair, etc. I had gone to a multitude of salons where the stylists cut my hair when it was wet, which left me in shock once my hair went curly. A friendly, and extremely talented gentleman at Fate Hair salon reassured me that he could do something different with my hair and I'd like it. He was absolutely right. He layered my hair in a way that gave my hair some shape, left enough volume, complimented my curls as well as my face shape, and left my hair lengthy as well as healthy. Johnny was phenomenal! Furthermore, he cut my hair when it was dry as opposed to wet which I had never experienced before. He clearly knew what he was doing. Fate was wonderful. I was super happy with the service, I was not charged an exorbitant amount of money for my wash, cut, and blow-dry, even though I was in the chair for hours, and I will most definitely be returning to Fate Hair Salon. Overall, I loved Fate and I would encourage anybody else to go try it out, I can guarantee that you'll go back if you do!

Got my hair washed by John and cut by Domenic. Both of them were friendly and professional. I loved that they both gave me tips on how to wash, dry and style my hair while I was there. I also love how knowledgeable they are. Didn't have to ask me where I parted my hair, Domenic explained my hair colour to me (didn't know I had a deep violet going on!) and he knew not to over layer my hair, so that it wouldn't look too thin. He also made suggestions for hair colour, which I got excited about. He totally understood what I wanted, from cut to colour. I would definitely recommend this salon and would go back myself.

When you lose your hairdresser its a long and sometime painful journey to find a GREAT replacement. Well my journey has ended. I went to Dom yesterday and wow what a great hair cut. Dom took his time and his attention to detail was amazing, something that I have missed over the last few months. He even showed me how to dry my hair to get the best effects and gave me some really good suggestions and ideas. The test of a hair cut is the next day; well my hair today looks fabulous, as good now as when Dom finished it yesterday. Devastated!!!! Went in for colour and trim. Asked for an inch trim..came out with up to 4 inches hacked off randomly around my hair. Domenic said my hair should be layered - which I disagreed with and said I did not want because I have fine hair. So he cut an inch when my hair was wet and then as he was blow drying he started cutting off chunks of hair saying I was going to love it and that it was the best hair cut for me. Now I can’t look in the mirror without crying and my hair is too short in the sides to even be able to wear it up. It will take months (if not longer) for my hair to grow back. Went in with long, full hair and came out with thinned wispy hair with short chunks all over that I can’t do anything to hide. I’m devastated.

I will most certainly be returning! They were friendly, professional, on-time, and reasonably priced. The only thing I want to point out is that you can’t tip on debit/credit so bring cash. I booked an appointment for her with Dom, and even though we ended up coming late, (we called to say we were running 10 minutes behind), we were taken in as soon as we got there. The consultation with him was honest, and you can tell he knows what cuts will work with the different hair textures and face shapes. Usually not one to write negative reviews but this experience I had to share. I live in the community and picked this hair salon after my long term hair dresser went on mat leave. I am a natural blonde who needed a bit of color correction and highlights (very standard thin hair, easy to lift). To my disappointment, I walked out of the salon with a complete different color of hair (brown hair) and not a single blonde highlight in place. This cost a whopping $350. Not only that, I was told I needed to come back 2 weeks later to spend another $150 because “this will wash out”. My hair was done by Samo and the whole experience felt rushed. There was no connection with the hair stylist or any other staff for that mater, honestly I feel ripped off. I regretted picking this hair salon instantly. I hope this experience will cause others to be diligent with their research and not pick a salon only because of its name and a few good reviews. Overall it was a nice clean salon but appearance most definitely does not represent quality of services.

Will not get the haircut you ask for. I sent my wife in for a colour and trim. She told Domenic that she did not want layering and did not want much length taken off. It's clear Domenic will just do what he wants... my wife's hair was layered and cut too short. She has thin hair and knows what best for her but Domenic thinks he knows better... as he was doing it she asked him to stop. He told her she would love it and kept going. Really enjoyed my experience at this salon. I was looking for a change and they did not disappoint. I walked in asking for their price list and was able to get an appointment for the next day. Alexis did an amazing job with my haircut. I really liked her attention to detail by finishing with a dry cut to ensure the layers were shaped as I wanted. Heads up for newbies, they only accept cash tips.

Love Nadia, Dom and Sarah. Always very professional and honest. This salon is the only one I will ever go to and I trust them completely. My youngest son was very afraid to get his hair cut....he's had his ear clipped at a first choice hair cutters before.
