I've been there about 5 times now over last 2 years and I have never left with a haircut I didn't like and have had 2/maybe 3 different girls cut my hair.
Cost cutt is right! way to expensive uesd to love going there but prices just kept going up and never the same employee's to cut your hair.

Switched from Supercuts to Cost Cutters because Supercuts made me wear a mask even though I am vaccinated. Now Cost Cutters has followed suit in having no backbone.
They don't take advanced appointments. Just call the day you want your hair cut and they will fit you in. They are very nice and do a great job for a great price.

My FAVORITE place to get my hair done. All the girls are amazing and so nice and friendly!!!
First and foremost, my stylist (who's name I think was Liz, but I'm not sure because she didn't wear a name tag or introduce herself) was very friendly to the other stylists, but said almost nothing to me. She chatted with the other stylists the entire time I was there, but never even attempted to make small talk with me. Also, I showed her a couple photos of the cut I had done a few months ago and I told her I'd like it like that again. The picture I showed her was a trendy asymmetrical Bob. I ended up with my hair cut almost straight across my neck with minimal layering in the back. Also, she wet my hair down to cut it, which I didn't have a problem with, but she did not even offer to blow dry it. Therefore, I left with damp hair (in the middle of January) and unsure what my hair actually looked like. After getting home and blow drying it myself, I came to the realization that my cut was nowhere near what I wanted. I just hope it's still long enough for my friend at another salon to fix.

I was seen by Jamie about a month ago and I would highly recommend her! She recommended a type of cut to compliment my face shape and took care of me like no other hair stylist has. I am incredibly happy with the results and would recommend requesting her if you decide to get your hair done here. She works quickly and efficiently and is very friendly.
The girl cut my husbands hair that was to his shoulders all the way to his ears right after he told her he wanted just the ends trimmed. I was mortified. I wanted to refuse to pay but my husband insisted. This was a while back. Hopefully that girl doesn’t work there anymore.
I used to frequent this location, some of the ladies were good. The haircuts were never consistent. The last time I was in I had a new girl, she destroyed my hair. Dull scissors which pulled my hair over and over. She said “sorry” every time it happened(GET A DIFFERENT PAIR). My hair was uneven, strays longer than others. When I got home I had to use my own personal trimmer to trim around my ears. Will never return.
Cost Cutters in Watertown, New York, has LOST my business. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but every damn time, they screw up my hair, have rude hairdressers, or overcharge me. I go back because there are always new employees, due to the huge overturn. No more, though! And I will make sure others know my experience, too, so they will be wiser and will not go to Cost Cutters. A few weeks back, I went in to get my hair cut because it had been over a year since I had done so. Somehow, I walked out spending $90. That was NOT my intention. Though I guess for two washes, haircuts, styles, and three different waxes (at half price), it was not too bad. That was until the next day, when I realized that I had this funky V or A, depending on how you look at it, cut in the back of my hair and was overcharged $10. I do not live close to Cost Cutters, so I sent an email about the problem, detailing everything. Mainly I wanted the $10 fixed, since that is absolutely ridiculous to be overcharged that much when I already was spending a fortune in there. With email, I can keep documentation of everything that is said and well, it is easier than calling, at least for me. I get an email back and only one issue is addressed, which is my haircut. I will get over the messed up haircut, as my hair does grow fast and even now, it does not look as bad. However, the hairdresser was somewhat horrible. She barely spoke to me, cut my hair shorter than I wanted it, did not listen to the layers that I wanted... But, ultimately, I wanted the $10 fixed. It has been almost three weeks of contacting and I still do not have the $10 back. It is just the point of getting it back now, even if it is ridiculous to have to keep contacting them. I have been dealing with Rebecca A. through email and she is horrible and is not helpful at all. Sent a final email saying that I wanted the $10 and where she could send the check. Her emails are spaced out, barely make any sense, sometimes have chat speak in them, and sometimes are sent from her iPhone - unprofessional. I will be going to corp and reporting her and the actual store. NOBODY should ever go to Cost Cutters in Watertown, New York. They will overcharge you, destroy your hair, and waste your time.

The girls here do ok sometimes but other times I've had the worst haircut.. my 10 year old son can do better than them on the bad days
hair=botched scalp-=sore employee=nice i will not go back. my hair looks awful and my head was manhandled the entire time. i asked for one thing and got the opposite. but the lady was nice.

Jacklyn cut my hair a few weeks ago and was wonderful for what I wanted. I had awful dead ends but I like to keep my hair long so she worked with me to cut off what she could to improve my hair's health but still doing what I wanted. I booked a second appointment to get highlights and an added tonner. Jasmine was super nice and talked with me while doing a wonderful job with figuring out what was best based on what I wanted. I am very satisfied with the final result. I'll be booking another appointment.
Didn't like hair cur
Booked an appointment online for today at 11. Get to the store and they don't have it. They tell me online bookings are messing up right now. Sorry. I show here the car information email. She says check the rest of your emails you will have a cancellation one there too. It came in at 10:15 am this morning. 45 minutes before my appointment.....they offered me 1pm. I think I will go somewhere else instead

I used to go here for my hair all the time. They are on the pricey side but they do good work. Why only three stars? I set an appointment with them and came at the exact time and they took someone else in my place.

I have been going to Cost Cutters since they opened in Fulton. Cassie and her team always do a fabulous job cutting my hair. The stylists there always remember the cut I like and are quick and efficient. Even though it is a chain, I really feel like it’s my hometown salon.
I went to get haircut today, they were busy. I asked if they could do a haircut. The woman asked a stylist (Elizabeth) how long she would be with her customer and was told 30 minutes. I agreed, she took my name and phone number. I ran a couple of errands and was back in time. She was finishing up a man and I waited. During this wait another man came in for a haircut and he was told it would be a bit. All other stylists were doing what appeared to be prom do's. When she finished with the man she was cutting she meandered around a bit, taking a phone call, using the restroom and then cleaning her station. She then headed toward the desk, looked at the register and called the man's name who came in way after me. I got up and left. This is the second similar experience I've had with this salon. I will not give them a third chance.

I called today to make an appointment for my son who has received great service in the past. I requested and appointment. The girl on the phone rudely told me they were booked for today. I asked for another day. She was rude and told me they were booking very far out. I asked her to look in the computer system and see when the person that last cut my sons hair would be available….she told me she couldn’t get into the system because she was “counting the till”. I asked for a manager and she rudely informed me that the manager wasn’t in. I asked her “do you want to book appointments and receive business?” She responded that she just “couldn’t help me”. I’m SHOCKED at her lack of customer service. I understand having a bad day but if you can’t accommodate and use kindness….there is a problem. I feel bad that I don’t have the girls name that last cut my sons hair because she was AMAZING.
Cost Cutters re-opened! So glad they came back! Cost Cutters is currently closed down until further notice if at all. Will miss having one close!
Great place for a trim
They take walk ins and appointments. Good with the kids too. They will also give you a call back if you walk in and get a place in line you can leave and get a call to return later when its your time. Dont always seem to be enough stylists there but everyone seems friendly and the prices are fair.

I have a very busy during the week schedule and everywhere was either booked out when I was available or closed when I was available so I settled with Cost Cutters based on the decent reviews. I scheduled my appointment and they told me they were running behind, which was fine since I wasn't in a rush. Two of the women (1 of which I think was the manager) began arguing about who was going to cut my hair because apparently they had appointments in 30 mins and it "wasn't enough time." Mind you I had medium to long hair and it was my first time getting my hair cut off in YEARS! They settled for one of them to do it and I asked if she was in a rush because I heard their conversation and she looked at me crazy and said no. Anyways, she was rude and very unprofessional! All of them were. I showed her a picture of what I wanted which my hair looks nothing like but it's decent. I will never go back. And will never recommend anyone here.

Frustrated, watch out for hidden fees. I didn't think anything of it after a long hospital stay with my husband at the VA. Went in first thing for a trim for myself and cut for my daughter. Asked for flat ion for both of us. No washes. Our bill was 63$ my daughter's cut was charged additional because it took a little longer than they wanted to spend. Shes 8. My other children and myself have been going for 8yrs. Never had hidden fees added to the cut. For this price I am going to start looking for a regular salon where they don't price gouge you due to the time. Best bet. If you have children that require extra time.. don't go there if you are expecting the price on the list. My 8yr experience is over.

Despite the CDC not requiring masks for fully vaccinated individuals, I was asked to wear a mask while getting a haircut. There is no need for this overwrought 'protection' and goes to show that the mask was always more about control than safety. However, as a fully vaccinated individual, having minimum wage hairdressers from a minor salon chain presume to be wiser than the experts at the CDC is pretty hilarious. Go to a local barber instead! Give your money to somebody who isn't sending it to a multinational corporation at the end of the quarter. Would rate 0 if I could.
Got my eye brows done here. Honestly was expecting them to be gone since my son's haircut was bad here but they did awesome and service was perfect. Eye brows look perfect!
