Trying to find a COVID safe nail salon has been a struggle, but City Garden Nail Bar Cary has enough space to appropriately take care of their customers, keep people distanced, and comfortable. I have so far had two different nail artists and both did my nails fabulously. Legitimately the best nail results I have ever received. At this time, it is important to note they are only doing gel manicures due to COVID safety, so if you are looking for regular polish this is not the location you can go to.

Went here last night to get my nails and toes done prior to a wedding this weekend. My friend had referred me and we decided we would go together. I felt as if the wait was entirely too long even after making an appointment. I got there at 5 and didn’t get seated until well after 5:30. I understand appointments can be pushed around a little bit due to walk ins but, I don’t mind sitting down and relaxing with my feet soaking until the people can become available! The lady who did my feet really, really hurt me. I was practically digging into the chair with my hands with the amount of force and time she spent picking at every nail and my feet. I got a separate younger girl for my SNS on my nails. She kept twisting my thumb and I thought it was going to break! I didn’t have time to keep mentioning it to her because it was so brief and I thought she would finish my thumb before it mattered to bring it up. Also, I felt as if her English was broken so I didn’t want to offend her. She said I moved and ruined my thumb SNS and so she had to “fix it” and she worked on it for another 10-15 minutes. I told her that my thumb needed to be thinner but, she must have thought I meant my whole hands - she tried to argue with me! SNS is $45. (I normally get my SNS done at place in Durham for $33 but my friend wanted to go here and I wanted to try it out!) anyways, $45 is a lot - I would like it to look decent and not feel like I’m wearing acrylic nails. Then she abruptly got up and I believe the manager finished the job for me. She was very kind, polite, and asked me about my engagement. I just felt like the price was really high for what I got and what I endured. I also didn’t care for 3 different people working on me and talking the entire time in another language and laughing the whole process. $74 later my feet are incredibly sore today and very tender. I would just proceed with caution. I wish I had had a better experience- especially trying to enjoy an evening with a great friend!

Great place to get your nails done if you’re not in a hurry. This place seems to like to take their time when they work. I was there for over an hour and 30 minutes for a dipping powder service on my real nails and I’ve had this service done before at other places and it’s not taken that long. Thinking it wouldn’t take that long, I went before I had somewhere to be, but I was late. They have friendly staff, but the staff seems to multitask a lot so while they do your nails they will leave and pick up the phone or check a guest out or pour a drink. Which makes your visit a little longer. Like I said, if you’re not in a hurry I definitely recommend visiting! Nice garden vibes and they have a very good parking deck with shade!

Best nail salon in town. They really take the time to give you good looking nails and satisfy your needs. They have an amazing pedicure menu and offer beer and wine. The atmosphere is beautiful and I always feel relaxed when I leave. I’ve been a repeat customer for a few months now and I have no intention of going anywhere else. Worth every penny you’ll spend. Be sure to tip these people well!

Absolutely amazing staff ! Service is always 100%! The owners and technicians always go above and beyond to make me comfortable. This is one of the cleanest salons I have ever been in as well! The owners always make sure that your experience is great and will do anything to make it more pleasant. There is also a rewards system in place for return clients. They know me by name and always remember what I’m having to drink. I’m so pleased with this salon. I’ve been to the same salon for the past 12 years so making a change was hard but honestly this was an upgrade and I’m so glad I’ve found them! Try the Lavender Pedicure it’s the BEST !!! I've had plenty of bad experiences in other salons, but this one went pretty well! I really liked the environment/atmosphere. It was professional and relaxing. I had an acrylic service with gel polish and it came out quite nice and even. No rushing was seen during the process, which is a plus. They almost forgot that I requested a wax as part of my service and wanted me to wait an extra 10 minutes, but once I made it clear that it was already something I asked for, they saw me in under 5 minutes.

I am currently sitting in the pedicure and I am already blown away with my experience. This is the most relaxing environment with a professional and kind staff. I walked into a calm and beautiful garden oasis. I am in the process of getting the Senusal Rose Pedicure and it has been a treat. The massage chairs are a God send and my pedicure supplies came out on a tray with a rose (I feel like I’m on the bachelor) and a candle is lit! They topped it off with a warm neck towel and a hot foot bath. I will definitely be returning and I’m not even finished with my service ???? Thank you for a good start to my birthday weekend!

This place is amazing! I’ve gone in here before and recently came again with my friends can’t figure out why I ever stopped! They are really professional, the area is really spacious/clean, everything is comfortable, and their work is spectacular at a fair price. Other places have only a couple of good nail techs while at City Garden you don’t have to worry about who ends up doing your nails because they are all so talented! This time one of my nails chipped and Eric squeezed me so I could have it fixed and he wouldn’t let me pay and wished me happy holidays, talk about quality service. Would recommend to anyone!

First time visit and I'm in love with my nails! Check their Instagram out to see their work: CityGardenNailBarNC They take time and care when cleaning up cuticles with extreme detail. They shaped my nails as well as my friends nails perfectly! (I do coffin shape) There were many options for colors, chrome's, designs, cat eyes, clear, sparkles, etc. If you're like me and have been shopping around for a permanent salon and have had wasted time and money on poorly done nails, or at places where they cant do anything you want, then I definitely recommend you give the place a try! They even offer a nice selection of wine and beers and the pedicure stations each have their own little tv screen! Thank you City Garden Staff!

Okay first off it was a beautiful place but sadly I will not be going back. The work was great and turned out pretty but it wasn’t what I wanted. To start off I got a pedicure. I asked for two colors of gel polish Two! I wanted purple and white and got only white. Just wanted my toes done and chose the $20 package and got charged $32 plus $20 for gel polish….. ummm to me $52 for toes is crazy not to mention he cut into my toe a little. Okay off to the nails. This was my birthday/anniversary set. I had another nail picked out but was told they couldn’t do it okay fine I have a backup they turned out cute but $40 for a full set plus $15 for gel okay that’s fine but I did NOT get long nails so why did I get charged for the long nail service which was an extra $10? I’m sorry to me they are medium length. Any other place I go to they are medium… I also wanted purple they look more blue to me. I am not disappointed in the work per se manly upset with the price. I have been to so many nail places in the area and I heard they were reasonably priced and top service and I don’t see it. I really wanted to love it but just can’t. I have never paid so much for my nails before. Very upset. UPDATE: It has been 4 days since I last made this post and 4 out of the 10 nails have broke so I cut them and reshaped them the best I could and all of the gel polish on my toe are gone. The polish on my toes started coming off by the second day after getting them done and in just 4 days it came completely off. I sadly CAN NOT recommend. UPDATE TO MY UPDATE: Every nail had fell off. I’m a stay at home mom and just do household chores daily. I do nothing rough and they popped off. Lasted only 1 1/2 weeks.

Cant get your nails done unless you have an appointment at 4:48 and they dont close till seven they need to put that on their page but I betcha those people behind me got in 2nd time I've gone there and they turned me away after paying 55 for a pedicure and he didnt even scrub my feet what a wsste

My husband and I called about 45 minutes in advance to see if they could accommodate our 2 pedicures. Fortunately, they said it would be fine. Upon arriving, the salon was very clean and the atmosphere was great. They sat us immediately. I did not catch the name of the gentleman who did my pedicure, but he did a fabulous job and I have no complaints. However, my husbands pedicure was a totally different story. Kim was the technician and she did a horrible job. She changed his massage settings after he had already set them to what he wanted, despite being asked not to. She was very jerky and continually pushed and pulled his legs/feet, talked the entire time almost, oh and my husband had to ask her 3 separate times for his beer. He said it was the worst pedicure he has ever had and it was obvious to me after watching it. We may be back, but I absolutely do not recommend Kim.

A very kind lady named Lisa did my manicure and pedicure. She was SO nice and did a great job with both. She gave a wonderful foot massage with the pedicure that was just the thing after a day of travel. I highly recommend Lisa if you are going to City Garden Nail Bar!

This is what going to get your nails done should be like everywhere. It's absolutely beautiful inside, it truly feels like you're in a garden in some far away place. They have a wine bar if you want to enjoy a glass while you're getting your nails done, relaxing music and the BEST service. City Garden has set the bar so high, at least for North Carolina. You'd think that you were in Beverly Hills or somewhere like that!! They have every variation of nails and nail art, polish they have choices of ways to decorate your nails that NO shop I have ever been to...like using a magnet with special polish to create a cats eye affect and so much more. Nail shop owners need to visit here and take notes on what they should do to have the best nail shop in their area!!! I love City Garden, I'm going back to Raliegh at the end of October, I will definitely see you then City Garden!!!????????????????❤????????????????????????????????????????

Worst manicure I’ve ever had. Went in, asked for gel extensions; instead I was given really bad acrylics. During the process I was cut 4 different times by the nail tech.The nails were really thick, strangely filed into severe little points, many of them were ill fitted to my finger pad and the acrylic was over-filled at the cuticle leaving me with a distinct ridge. Honestly they looked very much like I pressed them on from a drugstore pack and by morning they were already lifting off of my nail. Also, my nail was not cleaned out underneath by the tech. They would not offer me a full range of colors and I was left with choosing a really ugly color which I completely regretted the moment I saw it. The next morning I called to say that I was really unhappy with the work and asked if I could make an appointment for someone to fix or redo them. A man scheduled me at 2pm but when I went in, I was left unacknowledged for at least 15min. When he finally came over he was rude to me and told me that they were fine and that was the best they could do. I asked him if he could at least file them down so that they weren’t so lifted. He left me for about 15 more mins and then came back to argue about how my nail bed was too big and therefore my nail tech Phoebe did me a kind service by making the nails smaller... yeah that’s just rude. He then proceeded to compare my nail bed to his and told me I should just wear my natural nails (um.. isn’t this a nail salon?) I don’t really understand the response but I asked for a refund-which I am awaiting- and he said it would only be a service refund. I found another place 2mins away and had that mess removed and got a beautiful gel manicure replace it but I’m still out $. Don’t waste your time here.

I am out of town. I had yet to find someone as good as my nail tech back home that I've been with for 10 years. Then I found this nail spa. City Garden Nail spa is the best in Cary, NC in my opinion. They are fantastic. Great with designs and detail. Great atmosphere and plenty or room. The management is professional and friendly. Very clean. I would definitely recommend this spa. This should be on the top 3 best nail spas in Cary!

I’m so disappointed. I went back a 2nd time to make sure that my first time being disappointed wouldn’t judge the quality of the entire salon but it’s stressful spending $80+ and only having it last MAX 3 days. I was so excited because I absolutely enjoyed the color options but what’s the point if the jobs not well done and on my FIRST day my toe nail chipped. I’m very unhappy because it was a great experience but the quality ended up being poor.

I really enjoyed my time and recommend this nail salon highly. They have lots of colors and are able to do acrylic, gel, sns, and regular polish. They have a neatly organized book of all their colors which make it really easy to choose what you want. Shown in the picture is a full set of acrylics with nail tips. The ring finger was hand painted and the jewels were hand designed on the nail. Done by Eric. He killed this job! He was able to match a picture I brought in. Everyone was friendly and able to communicate well. They went over all their pricing, twice. Eric helped me by suggesting the type of nail medium that would be best to build the nail extensions. Very helpful. Definitely check this place out. They will take care of you!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Cary. Once around the holidays I couldn’t get an appointment and had to go elsewhere and.. they knew ???? because my nails were not up to their standards. Phoebe is excellent, meticulous, kind, and takes the time to make your nails look perfect. I love the environment on top of the work they do. Like seriously my nails have never looked better in my life. And even with the liquid gel set it’s not THICK which I love. I’m able to function even with tips and they consistently last a month. If my nails didn’t grow out by then they’d still look good. As for the photo, the angle is weird, but all nails are shaped the same. lol Thanks guys! Jenny

Idk what i payed for honestly my gel nail polish started chipping after 2 days. I got a $50 pedicure and there was barley any calluses removed from my feet. So all in all I payed $27 for gel polish on my real nail no extensions and $50 for a mediocre pedicure. Ladies don't waste your time or money. Oh yeah and then was gonna charge me $10 for a glass of cheap Moscato smh the worst.

I came in today for a pedicure - the staff was nice, the salon is nice. But whoever the guy was doing mine seemed relatively inexperienced I think to do my pedicure. He couldn’t properly trim my toenails so someone had to help him. And right now both big toes on both feet are pretty painful right now, concerning that I might have two toe infections since it’s red and swollen. I don’t think I’ll be visiting again.

Phoebe and Eric are both awesome. They took their time for my friend and I. They made us feel very comfortable and will never go anywhere else again. They are the best in town, especially for dip nails! I’ve been to a dozen nail salons for dip and every place Ive been to the top coat always cracks or discolored within a week bc Gel top coat is used to finish off the dip and then put under light to dry. But here, NO light is used and absolutely lasts at least 3 weeks! They also have lots of color selections as well.

I have been here multiple times. I have had excellent service (which is what keeps me coming back). However, occasionally I will come and get the worst service - poorly done pedicure, no extra attention, basically just a paint job. I pay for exfoliation, cutting, shaping, etc. When I don’t get that it is upsetting. I go home with my nails painted but did not get the service I really paid for. I can paint my nails at home! It’s so upsetting because I am paying for shotty service. They are always nice and pleasant but until the service can be more consistent and they have a standard level of service for each visit, I can’t bring my money there.

Do not recommend. Received less than mediocre manicure. Not sure why other people are so impressed with this place. They rush through it to get more clients in. Fine, if that’s the only option you’ve got, but don’t expect anything special. RE to owner: what I’m expecting from a manicure is to have a my nails shaped and cuticles cleaned, that’s all. And neither one was done properly. That’s all the “special” I want. And posting an honest review does not make you a hater.

This space is very open and CLEAN! There are at least 20 pedicure chairs, and same goes for nail tech seats. The Nail Bar is just that- a bar that you can sit at and order wine/drinks while you get your fill in. I also LOVE that they have a great ventilation system, there is a small vent by each seat so the fumes are not nearly as harsh. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, I've had two separate nail techs and both were great. I would definitely recommend this Nail Bar to anyone in the Triangle looking for a clean and friendly place to get their nails done!

Went to City Garden Nail Bar for the first time this week. I was in town and needed a fill so I decided to give them a try. I was very impressed with the amount of detail that Phoebe put into doing my nails. She was very friendly and aimed to please all my requests. I love my nails! The shape is perfect and the design is one of my favorites. I will be going back for a fill in before I leave town!! While I was there I also got a deluxe pedicure and it was amazing!!

We both got mani pedis and could not have been happier with the results! The services are a bit on the pricier range, but, for us, the service was totally worth it! The staff there made us feel like we were special, especially Lisa!! She was so thorough and careful, something I really appreciate experiencing when paying for a service. And her customer service is amazing! She was so kind and patient with me! During the pedicures, we felt like princesses. We did the Green Tea pedicure, and it includes aromatherapy, massage chairs, scrubs, lotions, hot towels, the works. We almost fell asleep it was so relaxing. And the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing mimosa was such a nice touch. Honestly, we had such a great experience, that we’ll be back soon and bringing others with us. So, thank you City Garden staff! They are all wonderful there, and I especially highly, highly recommend Lisa! If you want to feel like a princess, experience excellent customer service with the technical skills to match, City Garden Nail Bar in Cary is absolutely a must.

Each time I visit this nail salon it’s a different experience. My first time visiting was great for waxing. The second time, the person who waxed wasn’t there and would not be there for several hours. The last time I went, this time in an effort to get a manicure, they refused to take me and suggested I set an appointment. Went yesterday. I had my headphones in to relax and the technician still wanted to talk. The atmosphere is nice but I was unsatisfied with the job. The tech almost cut my toe twice. Probably wont go back even though it is closer. RE to owner: I apologize for not knowing that. However, you cannot be disgruntled with customers who do not know the two of you are not the same. To amend my previous review: There is a location in Raleigh that is similar and has a similar name and concept and I like their work better than City Garden Nail Bar Cary.

I have gotten dip 2x here and cannot return. Both times my nails have lines on them after 3 days, cracked overlay and broke my actual nail as well as changed to a yellow stain..They said I need to be careful with what I do cleaning, makeup etc. 1, I don't wear make up, 2 I clean im not dirty but in all the nail places I have been to I've never had to change my lifestyle because of dip. Dip is supposed to last longer, why after 2 weeks is it breaking my nails? I dont do anything out of the ordinary or extreme. I type at work on a computer and I cook at home. I shouldn't have to be careful or "wear gloves" on my nails especially for dip. I cannot speak for any other service but if you're looking for dip do not go here.

This was the worst mani/pedi that I have had. Ever. The staff there was not competent and lacked basic customer service skills. The manager gave me a talking to when I told her that I wanted to change my toe nail color. She said that I should have told the guy after my first toe nail was painted. I told her that I did not know the actual color until two coats and she proceeded to scold me two more times about it while giving me my manicure. Definitely not relaxing. My SNS manicure lasted less than a week.very expensive manicure for 1 week. Also the guy doing my pedi could not speak English and did not know how to give a foot massage. Strokes on the feet do not constitute a massage. And their “garden” plants have yellow leaves and the dead parts are not cut. So no ambience either. Expensive and stressful. Stay away from here.

I’ve been here a few times and liked it, but today I had a pedicure and it was not good at all. It was the fastest one I’ve ever had- 25 minutes. Hours later, the polish started to smudge- it’s not chipping but it’s almost like the guy didn’t put a top coat on it and now it looks horrible. It was a complete waste of money- I’ll need to go somewhere else to pay to get them polished again.

Way better experience at Cary location then Raleigh. At Cary location the staff is nice = better customer service. They will be the first to apologize if something went wrong and they will try to fix it. They have reward points you can earn to get discounts on their services not to mention they have a bar menu and way better massage chairs. Nail techs. are more talented. Only down fall is that they are booked quite often so no room for walk ins. Raleigh location has poor customer service, less talented nail techs., no drink menu and cheap message chairs. Upside they can afford to take walk ins. Since their service isn't that great.

I was traveling in the Raleigh area and broke a nail. I found this place on google and it was close to my hotel. The atmosphere is very relaxing! They serve wine and beer. The pedicure was awesome! I have SNS done on my nails and I’m always weary of going to a new place (some places are just BAD with SNS). The gentleman that did my nails was fantastic. He listened when I told him I don’t like them thick. I was very happy with both mani and pedi. The reason for the 4 stars is they charged me an additional $5 to remove the existing SNS because I did not have them done there originally. Overall great job! If I travel in this area again, I would go back.

Whenever I have been at the City Garden Nail Bar, the owners have always on site, overseeing a smooth operation and satisfied clients. The Nail Bar accepts walk-in clients who receive remarkably prompt service. Providing that service, however, does not disrupt, delay or impact their efficient handling of clients who are there by appointment, probably beause the salon seems to be fully staffed at all times, well organized and its owners are professional and experienced business people. The quality of their services is impeccable. The vibe is relaxed, friendly and quite accommodating. The business appears to operate seamlessly, with exceptional teamwork amongst the staff. It was obviously very busy but I wasn’t given any explanation for assigning another nail tech. It was Lisa & she was very thorough & precise. I would definitely ask for Lisa again. In addition the polish that I selected & Phoebe acknowledged was not one I selected. I wasn’t unhappy with the color so I kept it. From the moment you walk in the customer service individuals speak excellent English, offer you a complementary beverage, and escort you to a wall of nail color that is ORGANIZED! They don’t have any gimmicks of “oh this is more expensive” or any old expired colors, they’re all new fresh and exciting. From the moment you sit down in high-technology innovative chairs that move you around to massage you they have exceptional attention to detail. An amazing leg massage comes standard and the lady spent SO much time examining her work every step of the way to make sure it was perfect. There’s about 16 steps to the lavender pedicure so easily an hour treatment in the lap of luxury and the nail techs aren’t chattering or anything, it’s quiet and serene with beautiful spa music in the background. Seriously, I’d compare this as the affordable version of the Umstead in a second. High class, affordable, excellent care. And you can even easily schedule online! Will be back VERY soon!

I went yesterday and got my nails done by Lily and I must say I have never been as pleased with an experience at a nail salon as this one. I had an appointment for 5:30 but ended up not leaving till almost 8 (they close at 7:30). There’s been plenty of times where this has happened and usually the technicians will rush through my nails and I end up unhappy. That was not the case here. Everyone was super friendly and patient. I got mermaid polish on both my feet and hands and am so in love with the final product! I got my natural nails coffin shaped and they look so amazing! All the same length and shape! Usually I have to constantly direct the nail technician. This nail is longer. This nail is crooked and so forth, but Lily shaped and filed my nails and it was perfect the first time around! Lovely atmosphere and surprisingly the salon wasn’t overpowered with the smell of acetone/nail products. Will definitely be returning.

I made an appointment for a particular stylist. They gave me a different person for my nails and my pedicure. The stylist I asked for told me he was too busy. My toe nails were not filed straight. My SNS nail color was darker than it appeared on the sample and the color was not even. After an almost three hour session I walked away unhappy. Not sure if I will go back again. I will say, the staff was friendly.
