Hair cuts are good but overpriced if you have thick hair. I had my hair and makeup done here for grad and ended up going home to wipe it off and do everything myself. First it was Cakey and the foundation made me look pale as a ghost! The hair was worse as all I wanted was retro waves and what I ended up with was regular curls.. frankly I could've done this exact look at home and saved the $200 I spent there.

Sarah is amazing. She is so personable and wonderful to talk to and she does this while making my hair look fantastic! I've gotten my hair dyed in all sorts of colors and my hair has been cut short, long and buzzed. She knows what looks good, she honest when it might not work, she will do the research in advance to ensure you get best hairstyle for you and she willing to take risks to try something different. I've been coming here for the last 5 years and all the staff and hair stylist have been friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Atomic Hair Studio :).

I've been getting my hair done for over 15 years now and I've never had such and unprofessional experience. There was hair dye all over my face. This was the second time this happened. They booked me with the same hair dresser that did this before . They asked me for money I had already paid aswell. They are unorganized and the manager is rude and unprofessional aswell . They talk over you when you simply try to explaine the situation. I'm really surprised to see the horrible service and will never go back again. .

First time there and I had highlights and a cut and the stylist listen to what I had to say. I have had stylist that listen but then do it their way and turned out horrible. The stylist I had really listen and put in her suggestions and it turned out perfect. I will certainly be going back to this place.

Been going here for a few years now and while it's a little out of the way if you don't live in the area, I've had great cuts there. Their hours are awesome, opened well into the evening so if you need a cut or trim after work, that's possible. I've seen two stylists there. They do have dinner turnover but I recognize a lot of stylists so they seem to have a solid core. Prices are reasonable but depends on the stylist's experience I think.

I had my hair cut at Atomic by Alisha. This was my first experience and I was very impressed by her professionalism and kindness. I made an appointment initially because I cut my hair at home and didn’t like it. I told her that I wanted to keep the length. She respected that and kept it the length it was and just fixed it up. She did an incredible job and I’ll definitely be back for my trim.

The atmosphere is great.. always clean , the music, magazines and general design. The stylist are knowledgeable and you always walk out looking 10/10 and happy with the service. They are accommodating offering you tea and water. Hannah is amazing and has transformed my hair like you couldn’t believe from a brassy red to a beautiful ombré blonde . They are educated on all the products they sell . Best salon in town

I have been getting my hair cut here since 2006 iv only had two different staff cut my hair so not a lot of turn around of staff that's because the owners are great. It's in a great location and it's large and airy so no product smells. Brittany has always done a great job Thank you.

Very unprofessional. I had booked for a lash appointment and requested a particular type of lash for a specific technician. I was called 24 hours before my appointment by someone named Lily telling me that she didn't know how to do the lashes that I had requested and that she could "try" them on me because she was relatively new at it. No thanks! Then I spent a good 15 minutes on hold while they sorted out their staffing and how to keep my appointment at the same time. The girl came back on the phone and told me that someone would be willing to stay late for me. This is a nice offer and all but why would I want to have my lashes done for 2 to 3 hours by someone who is done their shift and doesn't want to be there or someone who wants to wing it because they don't have experience? This is not the type of conversation you have with a client on the phone. Figure out your bookings and staffing ahead of time and not with the client on the phone. This is the second time I've had a bad experience with this place. Would never go back and definitely not going in for someone to experiment on me. Everyone needs to learn but not on a full paying customer....there are friends and family for that.

so normally I love atomic and the people there but this time I guess there was a misunderstanding of what was happening and my hair ended up being coloured the wrong complete colour. And by the time I saw my hair it was too late, and already completely coloured which is too bad because still had to pay for it. Still love the salon but just not this particular experience.

I have gone to Atomic for a few years now, always having Sue cut & colour my hair & always pleased with her work. Sue was not available so I had my hair cut & coloured before Christmas with Britanny. First she coloured it all a purple gray then asked me to come back for a redo that afternoon. She had already chopped off some of it, quickly blow dried it and asked me to put it in a ponytail till later (that is how bad it looked!). She aged me about 20 years!! My husband was aghast when he met me for lunch. It wasn’t at all what I asked for. I only wanted some ash blonde highlights to blend with the white-gray growth. When I returned, she coloured some of it a golden blonde and left the rest gray. It looked better but not great. Two colours in one day was not good for my hair plus I was in the salon for about 4.5 hours. Every day since, when I look in the mirror, I hate how I look. I wouldn’t recommend Britanny unless you have a picture of exactly what you want with you. Unfortunately, she didn’t listen to what I asked for at all. What she had in mind was nothing like what I had in mind. Just my experience though! Don’t know if I will go back.

Great place, excellent service. Staff are very friendly and seem knowledgable. I went in for a cut and tone by Rachel, the haircut was fantastic. The tone was good too, but now seeing my hair in natural lighting, it's a stark blue-black and I asked for the colour to be my natural hair colour (which is a dark brown). I probably should have clarified that my natural roots are a dark brown. I guess be very specific on what shades, tones and undertones of the colour that you want before going in.

Staff were very nice but had to go back twice and still didn't get what I wanted. Charged cost of product for second visit to try to get hair more like what I had wanted and was still charged almost $100 even though I had already paid $250 the week before and could barely tell I had had my hair done. Staff were nice but will not be going back again.

My stylist did not listen to me at all and dyed my hair EXTREMELY darker than my natural colour, a light brown, which is what I asked for. Then in an attempt to lighten it they put on a cleansing cream which is used before perms and contains very HARSH chemicals: it completely fried my hair, which is now breaking off. Furthermore they proceeded to charge me full price. I will definitely not be coming back. Ever.

Had a great experience here. I an new to Vancouver from London England and have been looking around for somewhere nice for a few months. The positive review I came across pushed me massively towards booking myself in. Britney washed, cut and blow dried my hair for me and there was no dull moment between. We talked continuously throughout! She was professional, friendly and best thing was she left me feeling like I had a million dollar haircut! i love it and feel great and will most defo be back

My first visit was ok. Staff was friendly. The girl that shampooed my hair was great, and have an amazing head massage. Not overly happy with the quality of my cut, just getting a mens cut, as a stylist myself, the cut was pricy for what I got. When I got home I had to trim around my ears myself as it was missed, and trim my front hair line as it was also missed, there were some missed spots. 3/10 on the hair, 10/10 on the friendliness.

Love the little touches like hanging my coat and serving hot or cold beverages. Highly recommend Atomic. Downtown service and amenities in the heart of Ladner.
