I went in for a simple trim to my normal/thick bob hair, and left with a literally crooked, too short, amateur cut. One side is longer than the other, and there are random pieces she forgot to cut! For a 35$ haircut, you get what you pay for here.

I was told about FAD from my partner's daughter. I've been a few times, but today, I confirmed I will never go to another salon. Dan cut my hair today and I couldn't be happier. He fixed up my hair which had been butchered by another stylist months ago. He puts customer care first and clearly prides himself on great service with a fun and friendly environment. The receptionist, Jill, is very friendly and seems like she loves her job. Everyone is friendly and down-to-earth. Also, being an avid coffee drinker, their free beverage choice is a bonus. They are reasonably prices, and with the new renovations, I'm excited to try their other pampering services like massage and manicure. FAD is rad! Go now!

I highly recommend this place! The vibe is very cool and laidback. My stylist Amanda has always listened to what I want and I've never left unhappy - quite the opposite! If you have any hair loss issues, Rebecca is the gal to see. She has done extensions that have blended beautifully with my hair! There are other options as well that you can look into. I love this place. From some of the friendlist staff, to great decorating. This is the hair salon for you if you like to feel like royalty. It is the only hair studio that I would recommend if you want to build a relationship with your hair dressers. They even ask about my son by name. Now if that doesn't make you feel at home I don't know what would. Some people may find the price to be a bit high. Those people are just cheep. Pay for a quality product and you get quality results. I trust them so much with my hair that I don't even check the back anymore. Ten out of ten would go again ????????????????

To start with, I’m a person who is really meticulous when it comes to hair. I find it very difficult to find a good hair dresser that can understand exactly what I need. I went to Fad Salon and they advised me that Tim would be the person and that was very true. He was very attentive to details and listened to everything I wanted to do and advised me as well as to what is best for me. I just want to say big thank you Tim, well done and sure more to come with no hesitation. The hospitality and the atmosphere at Fad Salon is just wonderful. I had my hair done here for my wedding, and ended up feeling quite let down afterwards. I did a hair trial a month or so in advance and felt super comfortable with my stylist, LOVED what she did with my hair, loved the price, and was overall very happy with their service. However, on the day it did not work out well. I had my mother and sister also booked to have their hair done the morning of our wedding. They booked my sister with her own stylist, but for some strange reason booked my mom with the stylist who was to do my hair. So my mother and sister had to just sit and wait for mine to be done, while watching the other stylist walk around not doing anyone's hair because obviously my sister's hair wasn't needing to be as detailed as mine as the bride. This ended up being a huge issue when my stylist did something different from my hair trial, and I had to admit I was very unhappy with how it looked, resulting in it needing to be redone. My mother had to opt to not have her hair done and leave me at the salon to go finish wedding preparations. Instead of seeming apologetic, the stylist made a comment about my mother being a momzilla and I felt incredibly uncomfortable for the rest of my appointment because now my family and the stylist were unhappy. The style I ended up with was much better than what had been previously done, but it still wasn't as nice as the trial hair style that I had loved. Further, it made for a lot of stress as then our morning was entirely thrown off, which I normally don't worry about except it was my wedding day. Overall, I would not complain about price or environment, but the service was a let down on the day that mattered most.

I feel like I really need to post a review for Fab Hair Studio in Cambridge, ON., as I moved to Cambridge over 20 years ago and still travel back to London for my hair….but when with my son was getting married in Cambridge, I knew travelling to London that morning was not an option….and I wanted to have my hair and make-up done for the big day. My daughter and I tried a salon, (hair and make-up trials), but we were a bit surprised when the hair dresser was also the person who did our makeup….we thought was a bit strange as it wouldn’t be their strong point and it wasn’t. After that appointment. my daughter decided to do her own, but I wanted us to be a bit spoiled on that day…..so I began looking for another salon. I came across Fab Hair Salon and checked out their website and was very excited to see that they had an “Aesthetician”…so had a good feeling already. I booked trials for my daughter, my future daughter-in-law and myself…..and WOW…..We were all VERY Happy with our hair and make-up. Stephanie is the Aesthetician and she is amazing….I don’t wear makeup very often….actually pretty much never…lol… so wanted it to look natural…..and it was perfect! Stephanie takes her time and listens to what you like and what you don’t like. Lexi was our hairdresser for both our trial and the big day and to be completely honest, I was a bit worried as I have not had anyone do my hair except my hairdresser in London for like over 30 years…..but Lexi listened to what I was looking for and made us all look amazing! If I ever decide to stop travelling to London…..Fab Hair Salon would be my new salon. Everyone there is so friendly and truly make you feel very welcomed & comfortable. Thanks Fab Hair Salon, but especially Stephanie & Lexi!

I came in and showed them photos of what i wanted. I asked to go lighter and that i fidnt want streaks, I left darker with blonde streaks. They did what they want to my hair and didnt do what I aksed for.

In Cambridge for a wedding, Mother of the Groom. Knew no hairdressers in the area. Took a chance on Fad. Kira was outstanding. She listened carefully and gave me exactly what I wanted. The style was spectacular, elegant and expertly done. It stayed in from 10 a.m. until the following 2:30 a.m despite winter winds, (yet my hair did not feel over-sprayed or sticky). She was so careful with her hairpins that I felt no pulling or poking, yet everything was totally hidden. I cannot recommend her highly enough. If I am ever back in the Cambridge area, I would definitely go back to Kira, and would recommend her highly to anyone who asks.

I visited FAD hair studio last month. I desperately needed a colour since I was attending a wedding that weekend and they were great at squeezing me in last minute. Originally I wanted to colour my hair and have my magenta touched up a little. Being pressed for time, I decided to go with only one colour. When I left, I thought my hair looked great. My daughter was our DD for the day, so when she came to pick us up to take us to the reception, she said, "Mom,,do you know your hair is green?" Imagine how mortified I was finding this out. The stylist didn't do a consultation to assess the condition of my hair. She didn't ask what colour I wanted, she just mixed up close to the colour my hair was at the time. I'm not sure if she was aware that colouring where the magenta had been in my hair would cause it to turn green. But I will say this. My hair is so damaged, that there's no way I can even go back to have it fixed, nor would I choose this salon if it were possible. The part that irritates me the most is that I tipped well. The colour cost $113 and I handed over $140. I would definitely not recommend this salon. Spend your money at a better place. The only reason I gave this place one star, is because I couldn't post a review unless I gave it a star. I would give this place zero stars if it was possible!
