I tried out Salon Kokoro today and was very impressed. I had no idea what to get for a cut. Super over due and no idea what was in style. Susan updated my look and told me about some product that could help. I have a lot of humidity where I work and frizz can be a problem. I can't wait to try out the new products! Love the cut. I had my hair colored and trimmed by Susan, yesterday. She did an amazing job! My hair looks bomb, and I could not be more satisfied! I have finally found a salon that I feel comfortable and excited with! Also, the receptionist, Johnson, was very friendly, tentative and professional. The salon itself is very clean and tidy, with a trendy atmosphere.

Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Price: 9/10 Whenever I enter the salon, I always feel like I am entering my second home. They service is always welcoming and genuine, and the staff never hesitate to make you feel like you are part of the salon family. I have gotten my hair cut from each of the stylist and they all do an incredible job, never once letting me down. The amount of time and care given to a cut is shown whenever I leave the salon and get compliments from my peers. I will continue to show up and get my hair cut, as this is one of the best salons in town to do so.

The ladies of Salon Kokoro are all fantastic! I asked Theresa and Chrystal to be the hair team for my wedding and am so glad I did. They created hairstyles that were perfect for each of my bridesmaids and designed a style for me that was EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I loved my hair for the big day! Candice is the best stylist I've ever had! I've lived in Canmore for the past 4 years and I still make the hour and a a half drive into the city just to go see her. If i could give her 6 stars out of 5, I would. I know that I could walk into the salon and tell her to do whatever she wants with my hair and I'd come out of there with an awesome new style. She's incredibly patient and she has an impressive ability of taking the idea I'm trying to describe (in my case in a very clumsy and unclear way) and translating into something that looks amazing and that works well with my hair. If you're nervous about hair stylists and haven't had good experiences in the past, or just looking for someone new, Candice is your gal! She's also pretty good at the science behind hair, so if you're a science nerd like me, you'll love her even more!

I have a friend who raves about this place, so I thought I would give it a try! I went from lower back long hair to a medium bob look. I took 6 over inches of hair off, which is a drastic change for me, as I have had my long hair for 10 years! Candice was amazing in listening to my ideas and the reasons for why I was wanting a drastic change. She was very professional and is really great at what she does! The salon is very clean and all staff is mindful of the clients during this time. I highly recommend trying this salon and going to see Candice. I will definitely go back for all my hair needs! Beautiful and clean space.All the staff were kind and professional. Susan is such a talented stylist and did a fantastic job with my hair! She really put me at ease about having my hair coloured for the first time and also took the time to explain how to care for my hew hairstyle and showed me how to style it in a way that is quick and easy for a busy young professional like myself. I've received so many compliments! I can't see myself going anywhere else to have my hair done now! If you're worried about COVID-19: Appropriate social distancing observed between work stations and all staff were wearing masks at all times. You wait in your car until they are ready for you to avoid unnecessary exposure to others.

This place does not disappoint. Chrystal was an absolute gem. She was very informative and she explained the entire process whilst doing my hair. I went from a very bright red, to a dark brown. She informed me that red is a very difficult colour to remove, but she reassured me that she would do her very best to remove it. I am so satisfied with the results. The best part about the whole process was that there was little to no damage done to my hair, and the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back for other hair services.

From the first time I saw her she felt like an old friend, and it always blew me away that she remembered so much about what we talked about last time, even with months in between. She is so talented and has given me the blonde I always envisioned, but also makes it easy to up keep. Everytime I leave the salon I feel like a million bucks. Salon Kokoro is such a cute space and right next to Avenida Food Hall which is a huge bonus!

The good: very clean salon. As soon as I arrived, staff said hi and offered me a tea. The not so good: haircut quality was poor. The way that the lady styled my hair was terrible! While I was there I saw another lady getting a haircut and what they did to her was also very bad.
