I’ve been coming to see Emad since I was 14. I am now 28 and I still get him to cut my hair to this day because no one can do it better then him! I have fine wavy hair but I have A LOT of it and no one else thins it out and layers it like he does. When my hair grows out from my hair cuts it always still looks beautiful. Thank you Emad!

Terrible experience. I asked for BROWN LOW LIGHTS , and he did not listen to me whatsoever he gave me PLATINUM BLONDE highlights which were horribly done, very very sloppy. I looked like a skunk, the highlights looked like stripes. Overpriced, did not listen to what I wanted at all. Extremely unhappy, never going back.

Very few times do I like when someone cuts my hair. They chop it into flat layers, don't take their time, don't care. Emad did a wonderful job on my layers, told me how to take care of my hair, he was warm and welcoming. I have a new hair dresser.

I’ve reviewed this business on FB. They’ve chosen to block and remove my post as opposed to addressing it. Covid has brought some terrible times to small business. What covid has brought to the community of Cedarbrae and Emad hair salon is there are no longer cigarettes ( from the staff at Emad) being thrown on the road. They have all now all been (unfortunately) washed into the Bow River through the storm drains. The parking lot is clean, hopefully it stays that way. Why this business thinks it’s okay to litter is beyond me. Despite previous feedback.

I'm so thrilled with my transformation at Hair by Emad. I went in without having cut my hair in about 10 years and haven't coloured it in about 20 years. Emad and his assistant (forget her name) were exceptionally professional. It's been about 4 weeks since my appointment and I am in love with my haircut and colour. I have more volume with my hair than ever before and it is so easy to style. I will be booking with Emad again for sure. Thank you so much for a great experience!!

Other than the personable staff who were very friendly and cheerful, this was the worst hair experience I have ever had in my life. I wanted to try out a new hair stylist and was referred to this salon by a friend. The salon was so hectic it felt as if I was being disregarded and rushed through my appointment and in turn received the worst dye job I have ever seen in my life. I wanted a really nice ombre style and received an orange and brown streak job that looked like my blind grandmother got ahold of my hair and transformed me into a Tiger. And to top it all off, I specifically said I did not want a trim or cut at all as I had just gotten one 3 weeks before and Ehmad took off about 3 inches from my hair (that I am growing out) in a choppy asymmetrical mess, and charged me $185 for honestly the ugliest hair do I have ever seen in my life. I scheduled an EMERGENCY hair appointment at my usual salon and will NEVER go back to Ehmad. I highly recommend going somewhere else and saving your money from an awful experience!!

I went and asked for a certain colouring and a cut. I even went in before I booked with him asking if he could do the colouring on my hair this way and he said “I can do anything.” Unfortunately the colour ended up looking like a box dye job instead of the bright colour I asked for. Cut is very good but I wouldn’t recommend going for a colour. Even when I went back to ask them to fix it Emad flat out told me he wouldn’t do what I originally asked for but would add chunks into my hair. So unless you are looking for a flat colour that you can get with any dye off the shelf do not go here for colour.

I can't thank enough to Hair by Emad's team! Our older son used its services and then we decided to bring there our younger 8-year old son who is in the wheelchair. We used to cut his hair at home until it became extremely challenging as our son requires full support, including for his head. Emad and his hair stylists not only do an excellent job, fast and easy, they are able to give a haircut whether our son is in the wheelchair, on the adapted bike, or they would transfer him into one of the barber chairs. In addition, they always show initiative and provide assistance with wheeling our son into and out of the salon as well as securing him in the vehicle. They are amazing and compassionate people, always with a smile on their faces and kindness in their hearts. It means a lot to a family like ours, it makes us feel accepted. Thank you very much!

Emad and his team is fabulous. Very professional and place is very clean. It doesn't surprise me that his business is built on references as anyone who goes there can't stop recommending Emad. Only caution is they don't except credit card so you need to pay by cash or debit card only. But when you see the outcome of your visit this is not a big deal. 10/10 for Hair by Emad.
