After many years of my mom seeing Ivanka I decided to check her out myself. I wasn't sure of exactly what i wanted, just needed a change. Didn't want blonde but love having red. She chose a fabulous color that suits my personality perfectly! I've never had the guts to ask for the Cleopatra bangs and I had the long swoopy side bangs. Ivanka took charge and made my plain-Jane style into something amazing! My boss says "the color and style are so complimentary to your face! She did a VERY VERY VERY GREAT JOB!"

Good blow dry but 55 dollars for it?! I got a root touch up and a blow dry and paid 135?! This was before tip. I was shocked. I asked how much the root touch up was and Wassam said 80... you do the math. I paid 145 the last time and that included a cut?!? I didn’t love my cut but loved the colour products they use. I really liked this salon but will not be going back.

Lindsay has been doing my hair for about 2 yrs now and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I’ve even gone to master stylists at more expensive salons and they don’t even come close. I always get beautiful results and tons of compliments when Lindsay does my hair, she is amazing!

Tasha came highly recommended by a wonderful friend of mine. Let me just say that the entire experience from start to finish was superb. The first time with a new hairdresser is usually stressful and you tend to sit on pins & needles, but none of that happened with Tasha. She was insightful, understanding, and patient when we discussed where my hair had been and in what direction we would be going with it. The shampoo was relaxing and she really took her time. You had the confidence that she really knows what she is doing from start to finish. She asks the right questions, and went over every inch of my head as she familiarized herself with head shape and hair growth patterns. Afterward, I felt like a new woman when I looked in the mirror. I walked out of there feeling great, sporting red carpet hair. And, as picky as I am with my hair, I have to say that Tasha is perfection. I've had my hair cut by the crème de la crème of hairdressers, gone to all of the top salons since the early 2000’s, but I have to honestly say Tasha gets the hugest props from me. A non-intimidating atmosphere, a well-run business and a stylist that leaves you looking better than when you came in: the whole purpose of finding a great salon is feeling comfortable with your stylist. Let me just say that I will be going back to Tasha forever, and I would highly recommend her to all of my friends. Everyone needs to be pampered, Tasha is who you want to see and this is the place! Five stars all around.

If you are looking for a hair artist look no further than Tasha. Anytime I bring a photograph in from either Pinterest or Instagram my hair comes out looking better than the photograph. Last minute decision haircut after months of no care (..i know know..bad) and I feel like a new lady. Wassam is so delightful to speak to and so gentle with his hands but precise! Asked for bridgit bardot meets claudia shiffer of 60s era and got more than amazing. About 5 minutes of consultation was all it took for him to understand even with many photos in similar range of style. Good pricing with precision after cut styling and im a picky customer! For the last 10 years I have been loyal to my amazing hair stylist Wassam. He is a colour genius and styles hair like no other. I drive across the city for his services. His care and attention to detail is amazing. He also keeps my eye brows on point with threading n tinting. He is very experienced and affordable! I booked an appointment here on October 13 before I was attending a wedding in Canmore. From the start, this salon handled everything professionally. Wassam styled my hair exactly how I had envisioned it and I received many compliments from family and friends. Recently stopped in to this hidden gem in Shawnessy. Wassam my stylist gave me a trim and a blow out. My blow out was amazing - he used round brushes and was able to make my long hair look absolutely amazing. My blow out with the help of a little dry shampoo lasted 5 days!!!! The owner Jacob was friendly and welcoming , checking in to ensure as a new client I was ???? happy with my services received. A very reasonable price list , with a master stylist. I will be coming back and would recommend Wassam for any ladies wanting the ultimate blow out !

Getting a haircut should be simple not chaotic. Booked in with the owner Jacob (specifically) for a haircut because of the excellent reviews. When I arrived no one was there but the receptionist. She was confused because apparently I’d been booked under Wassam who wasn’t there either. The receptionist tried her best to get ahold of the owner and clarified he was doing interviews at the other location (waaay across town) but if I wanted he could drive over to do my haircut. Needless to say I left and will try one of the other 5000 salons in town.

I came here a while ago and Wassam accompanied me immediately considering I'm just a walk in. I'm glad he is my hair stylist because my hair feels so soft and smooth right now. He asked me if I like the length and at first I didn't so he took his time to cut my hair shorter. I'm glad he asked me about the length, not all hair stylist does that. They just cut your hair in your chosen style. I'm amazed how careful he is. I've been to other salon and even they blow dry and straighten my hair it wouldn't look so good as it is right now. I was VERY impressed with my services done here. I was in desperate need of a quick but nice up do for my boyfriends christmas staff party and usually just go into a first choice or supercuts but wanted to try something different. So I went to chatters and it was a poor atttitude and just didn't have a good vibe about them. Plus they said that they could ABSOLUTELY not help me, So I left and googled another store.. Bijoux popped up and I said sure why not just go ask... So I walk in and i honestly have never seen a clean and a good vibe environment. Lots of men cutting ladies hair in suits or dressed very nicely, This was new to me lol I don't normally go into actual salons, so to see all these men (and a few women) doing hair was like hmm this is cool. I normally see men in barbershops. I asked the front desk if they by any chance had any walk ins available due to my lack of planning. The receptionist said yep and then a gentleman comes over and says "Ill take care of you" Meanwhile i looked like a homeless person, and wasn't sure if i had fit in due to everyone else was dressed for the day.. He sat me down I told him I wanted a shampoo and style up do sort of . He then said I am going to have Melanie do your hair as shes really good with up do's . So I said sure .. I then explained to her what i wanted done and how i would normally do it etc... She took the time and listened and then explained that maybe she could do it another way as why would she do something that I normally do. I told absolutely have fun do what you think would work best with super super thin and fine hair. I was STUNNED when she had completed it. She knew exactly how to work with my hair to make it fuller and was just in awe. I will never go back to any other place and hope to support this company as much as I can, They made you feel welcome despite how you look :P I have never had sooo many compliments on my hair in one night then my whole life time. AND it was extremely priced reasonably i couldn't believe it. Shampoo and conditioner, trim, and a beautiful up-do was around 45.00 mark like was absolutely shocked :) Best service I had had in a long time ...

I have my haircut, colour and highlight done with Jacob today. Since this is my very first time to try a highlight, and as a first time client, I don't know what to expect not to mention that I was a bit anxious during the whole process. But he gave me a pleasant surprise with the beautiful result. For the first time, I am happy with the layered cut. While others failed, he succeeded in giving me the look I really wanted. I haven't had my hair cut for well over a year, I was looking for a change and had the idea of getting a spiral perm and some highlights. Fazel is the one I spoke with and made an appointment with and I am super happy for the luck of coming across such a wonderful hairdresser! My wife came in middle of last week and hasn't stopped feeling miserable about her haircut since. Moe didn't cut her hair to the picture she showed. She asked for long layers and instead he chose to cut some of her longer strands of hair halfway such that it's more difficult for her to maintain a ponytail. In addition, she got highlights that ended up being a botched job where it looked like her hair was already grown out for a month or two (the coloring just stopped about 0.5-1 inch from her head). She came in again to at least get the coloring fixed and regretted that too. Her hair just looks haphazardly done and damaged. Thanks Moe, I've heard nothing but complaints every single day since she went to Bijoux Salon. What was supposed to be a treat for her ended up in a mess.
