The lady that did my hair did a fantastic job, it's probably one of the best haircuts I've ever got but it was too expensive and took a very long time. I was there for 2 hours. The people there were very nice and polite which was great.

It's rare that you get the latest styles and fashion advice from a salon this far from Toronto, these people travel all over the world and truly have an edge to all the latest fashions and trends. Friendly , clean and excellent service. Their new renovation with the new lighting can make almost anyone look great!

Had a really great stylist who knew a lot and did an AMAZING job on my hair. I would totally go back if it werent for being lied too about the price. The entire time I kept on being told it was 100 and when I was finished, I went up to pay and it was 170. That is way too expensive for a wash, colour and cut. I was expecting no more then 120. Ive had more done with my hair for a lot less then that at other places. It's a shame since I really loved the results and it's such a nice place with nice people but it's too expensive and the fact that they raised the price 70 dollars last second is not a very good way of doing business. If you say a price, stick to it or at least let the person know if it's going to be more for something, don't just spring it up last second.

Lindsay is a hair wizard and is absolutely amazing. If you have an opportunity to see her, do it! Lindsay gets 5 stars. Why I gave this rating 4 stars? No answering machine. No second line. No web page. No ability to tip on the credit/debit system. Please update this. Nothing is more infuriating then trying to make an appointment and having to keep calling back over the span of 3 days to get someone to finally pick up the phone. And not everyone carries cash - So being charged at the ATM in your facility along with paying for the service is not super awesome. Thanks.

Good atmosphere, however. I hate my hair cut. It's not what I asked for, the cut took forever and I still left with uneven bangs and 6 inches shorter then what I asked for. I even provided a picture of myself with the cut I wanted.. which was a simple above shoulder cut. My heart is absolutely broken. I'm going to have to wait months and months for it to grow back. I can even get it fixed until it grows back. Best part.... I paid $100 not including tip for junior stylist... completely absurd. I am devastated. I cannot recommend this place.

If your in need of a change, this is the place to go. Khai is a master in his craft! His precise cutting and styling is out of this world. He has been cutting my hair for the last 20 years and I always walk away a happy customer. Staff are well trained and very courteous to customers. If you try The Studio once, your hooked for life.

Very Disappointing on my last visit to the Studio - don't think I'll be going back. I went to the Studio on the weekend for my 3rd appointment here ever, and this time my hairdresser was just too far off the mark. She didn't listen to what I wanted, and what I had asked for (a quick trim) turned into the whole works which I neither had time or money for. During the previous appointment I had, we had talked about going darker with my hair, and we even picked out a color. I don't think she wrote it down or cared, because this time when I brought it up, she went on about the effects of going lighter! She also has never asked me how I like to style my hair, which is a big thing to me. I struggle with Frizz, so I like products that are sleeking and shining, but somehow I always leave with all sorts of texture products in my hair. The cherry on top of this already uncomfortable haircut was at the end when I was cashing out, the pressure to take product home (texture product...) was unbelievable. (I have a history in working in high end beauty stores like Sephora, so you can imagine that I don't get pressured easily). I've never felt more upset after a haircut in my life. I really liked the atmosphere too, but that will be the last time I pay $70 to sit through that again.

I am really not one to leave a bad review. But I am so absolutely shocked by my experience at this salon. I won 2 gift certificates to get my haircut with a specific stylist. I called to book an appointment but was so happy to find out they could squeeze me in that day. I also found out this stylist had 25 years of experience and has been there since they opened - so I felt confident she could do what I wanted. To start my hair was quite long with my roots (dirty blonde) having grown about 10cm out that then went into a light/copper orange colour. I asked for my hair to be cut my shoulders and to blend coppers with blonde throughout my hair. I showed the stylist a few pictures of the exact hair I wanted. (picture below) She then suggested I blend my natural colour into it as well. I was a little hesitant but I trusted her opinion. We had a few moments where she asked me of a specific colour or technique that I said no to. I did not want white blonde in my hair and I wanted it all blended "Naturally" or "evenly".During this time she bragged about how healthy my hair was (relevant later). During this process she dropped a massive blob of highlighter onto my jeans which then stained them. When we finally got to the end and she had rinsed my hair - I started to cry. There was white blonde streaks with a dark brown/black and also just maroon/red colour throughout. There was no resemblance to what I had asked for and the streaking was horrible. It was carelessly done and did not look good.(I've attached pictures). Another stylist tried to help by putting red toner on it which only made it pink. After this, I said I just wanted her to finish cutting (that part seemed to go well) and blow dry and then I wanted to leave. She insisted I come back in two weeks and she will fix my hair because it is so unhealthy and damaged that the colour didn't sit right. Which completely contradicts everything she said before. (Got my hair looked at by someone else and its healthy). She then insisted the dark colour was my natural hair colour... my hair is dirty blonde. She then tried to get me to come to the colour room where we can "fix this" she said. But at this point I was so upset that I wanted to leave. I didn't feel comfortable with her touching my hair again. So we went to the reception desk and it took me another 45 minutes to get out of there. There had been a miscommunication about me being able to use both my certificates (Which they had said I could in the morning). During this time the stylist had been giving me death stares and insisting she did nothing wrong. I said I would pay for the haircut but not the colour. I also didn't want to get it fixed because I felt so uncomfortable there. The real MVP at this salon is the young lady with the short curly red hair. It was getting intense with my stylist at the front desk when this young lady walked by. I asked for her to come over because I was feeling uncomfortable. The stylist started to raise her voice and be nasty to this other staff. But this young lady remained polite and stood up for herself. She then took over and helped me sort out paying. During this time the other stylist kept coming back to give me glares. I'm sorry to leave this review but really I am in shock at her behaviour. Below I have attached the photo I showed her I wanted and then what I walked out of there with.

An absolutely fantastic salon with an incredibly relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. The staff are all very warm and welcoming. The hair stylists are amazing at what they do, and guaranteed you will get a haircut or style that you like. I would highly recommend.

Lee at The Studio is a true artist! After countless bad haircuts I'm so fortunate to have been directed to The Studio. My hair was a real mess when I walked in, but it looked amazing when I left! (and even after I washed and styled it, it still looked great!) I can not thank them enough for making me look at feel great again!!! I HIGHLY recommend.

I shall never go to the place again, the salon is dirty, there is hair everywhere. Did they ever hear of sweeping the floors and cleaning their work stations. They use brushes that have not been sterilized for donkey years, straightening irons are so filthy I am so lucky I did not getting lice. The prices are way too expensive for the dirty damp. On top of that I was so unlucky to allow Milene to cut my hair. She did not listen what I wanted, cut my hair so badly that I cant get over it and for THAT price. Do not go anywhere near her when she has scissors in her hands you will regret it for months

I have been going to high end Toronto salons for the last 25 years. I now drive all the way to Burlington every 8 weeks to get an amazing service. The last style I received had my clients continuously commenting on my new "DOO" that I think I may ask Khai to "re-coo" me in the same way. The staff is awesome, the new renovation truly "cutting edge", and man they know how to treat you well, and take the craziness of the world away for the time you spend there In regards to comments read from others before, it is quite amusing to think that someone would complain that there is hair on the floor, I mean really? It's a hair salon. It's not everyone that comes in for a blow and prep just because they have no life, some of us actually get their hair .. "CUT".

With a great haircut and colour, you can tackle all that life throws your way!!! I have always believed this, and when my hairstylist of 55 years retired, I was lost. Through a professional that I trust, I found Jamie and the next stage of great hair life began. When I met Jamie, I felt like I always knew him- he just got it! I have let my natural gray take over, but with cut and colour advice from him, my hair definitely doesn't look old or boring! I never fuss with my hair, use minimal hair products and always have amazing hair.That kind of talent comes with a price, but no where near out of town prices for this kind of talent.

This was my first time visiting The Studio Hair Design and I will be returning. Conveniently located at Brant St and Plains Rd the salon is easy to access. The atmosphere is homey, like visiting with good friends yet trendy at the same time and the stylists know their craft so if you're looking to switch up your look or keep your cut the same you should check them out. The salon is observing Covid rules so come with a mask.

My hair is very difficult to cut.Some parts are straight,some parts are curly and it is thick.In the past I have actually had stylists admit they couldn't do it and "please don't come back".Donna has never given me anything than a runway worthy cut while entertaining me.The ambience of the salon is professional but fun.It is always a great experience.
