Came here in August for a wedding in which 6 bridesmaids and the bride got their hair styled. The bridesmaids hair were done OK but I was shocked at how the one girl did the brides hair. The worst up-do and to do that bad of a job for the bride!? Also was charged $80 just for a style. No hair wash/cut. Seems pretty expensive to me.

They offered me a coffee or tea while I waited for the hairdresser. I got my hair washed, cut and styled, and it came out phenomenally. Big thank you to Kayla, who was the hairdresser I saw. I had my hair done by Jen for my wedding; I do not recommend her for an updo. It was sloppy and looked like I just threw it up myself. I'm really unhappy with the job she did which is super unfortunate not only for how I looked that day but also in all my photos. When I'd ask her to fix something she would try but it seemed like she didn't know how to. They also gave me a quote of $55 for my bridesmaids then charged them over $100 the day of, which they then had to reimburse once I said something. Overall - don't go here for your wedding.

Poor business etiquette. I am very disappointed with how the salon owner chose to respond to my concerns. I feel he was not very understanding and somewhat dismissive and annoyed. I went to the salon to have my hair dyed and cut by a senior stylist. I spoke with the stylist about what I would like and provided pictures (balayage). Unfortunately my hair did not turn out like anything we had discussed. My hair turned into chunky strips of orange highlights. I was told to wash it a few times with a special shampoo to take the orange colour out. I paid and left the salon. However after I washed it and styled it myself I realized that it was horrible and needed to be fixed. The colour was brassy orange and the cut was choppy. I immediately contacted the owner and politely raised my concerns. The owner said they would fix it for me and to come back in. However after being traumatized initially and not getting anywhere close to what I asked for why would I go back. Just like if you went to a restaurant and were served under cooked chicken. If the manager says hey come back and try another meal… most of us would never go back. I declined his offer to come back in as I was worried what it would look like if they couldn’t get it right the first time. I then asked the owner if he would be willing to refund a portion of the cost to which he stated they don’t do that. So now I am out over $300 and still need to find a place to correct this big mistake. I really feel the owner should have been more understanding and refund at least a portion of the mishap. Very disappointed. I am a long time customer of the salon and feel it has gone down hill in recent years and will not be going back. Please do not go here if you are looking for a balayage colour.

A very nice place to go to for a haircut. They also have great staff and friendly people to take care of you. A little pricey, at least more than your average but that's because it is a very warm and welcoming place, and they even wash your hair for you.

I was getting tired of my look and wanted to try somewhere different and close to home, so I decided to call Teo. I would normally book a senior stylist, but I really wanted to get my hair done today, so I booked with the available junior stylist. Kristen was amazing! Very friendly. She totally understood what I was wanted (even though I probably didn't articulate it well) and got to work. Love my colour. Love the cut. AND she took the time to show me how to get those beachy waves I see on other people but was too scared to try on my own. The salon had a fun, friendly vibe and the price was totally reasonable. Very happy!

I have been going to Salon Teo on Brant Street for a couple of years now. My stylist is Jennifer. I was looking for a new stylist and was referred by a friend to Salon Teo but not a specific stylist. I was lucky enough that my appointment was made with Jennifer. We bonded right away and I have been very pleased with my cuts and colours ever since. She listens to what I have to say, gives me advice and I've always ended up being happy with the results. She's a super stylist and a really great woman to chat with. I first visited Téo when I was looking for a salon to cut my young son's hair. He was not a child who enjoyed having his hair cut (to put it mildly) but Phil quickly put his worries to rest. One fantastic hair cut and a lollipop and we were both fans for life! To this day, 12 years later, we would not dream of going anywhere else. Cannot recommend this place enough - I've been coming here for years, it's the only place I've ever fully trusted with my hair. I've seen a multitude of their apprentice stylists and they always do an amazing job. They use Aveda products which smell fantastic. The employees are always very friendly. They have very affordable apprentice haircuts (and again, the apprentices have always done a great job with my hair). I love the recommendations the stylists make for my hair.

Had an appointment with Amy on Friday. She's super nice. But I came in with a specific colour in mind, which is a dark red into a bright red ombre which I've had now for 6 years. Showed her a picture and she was completely on board and excited, but wanted to use my natural colour as the root colour, no problem. During the service we were talking about how long I've had bright red hair and how it's basically part of my identity now... and then when we dried it, turns out she look the dark red identity away and now my hair is a very dark red. Not bright or vibrant at all. So now after spending $200 on the service, I'm going to go have to spend another $300+ to get this fixed and actually get what I wanted... Had she told me she wasn't going to do a bright red like I wanted, I would have ended the service then and there. I showed pictures to make sure she knew I wanted that bright red. I've spent the last 48 hours trying to convince myself I don't hate this but.. it's really not at all what I wanted.

I went in this weekend to get a hair cut and balayage. Overall, she did a great job and I am happy with how it turned out. However, I had to wait 40 minutes past my scheduled time for my appointment. I understand you can be running behind, but would expect if my appointment would be this delayed to receive a call to let me know to show up a bit later, or have someone let me know when I showed up to expect a delay.

I tried this place based on the Google reviews. I had Joe as my stylist, I basically asked for a brand new style based on her direction. Total cost with wash, cut and dry was $40.00 plus tip. She did an amazing job!! Very impressed with her results. As well as I found out they have $10 intern/apprentice cuts, perfect for kids lol!

I visited Téo on December 21st to have my hair coloured by Ladone. I've visited many hair salons in the past, specifically for blonde balayage, and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. Ladone was extremely detail-oriented and talked through exactly what I wanted before we began. I provided a couple of reference photos, and she asked a number of questions to ensure we were on the same page. She was kind, careful, and very knowledgeable. I have never been this happy with my hair before, my balayage came out looking so natural and absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking to get balayage done, definitely try to book in to see her. Found this place based on reviews on Google. Was looking for a place close to home for a standard trim . I met Jo. She did an outstanding job of listening to what I was looking for. Left feeling like celebrity with freshly trimmed and styled hair. Her rate is quite reasonable.Paid around 45 -ish (I purchased hair products in addition to her service so don't remember exactly). It is outstanding what Jen was able to do for me. I've had an extremely difficult time achieving my desired hair coloured for the past two years when I started dying my hair. I've always come out too orange, always left the salon with way blonder hair than expected in attempt to repair it, and I've never left the salon from one visit completely satisfied without having to come in a second day to get it fixed. Jen really listened to me when I told her my past hair history and provided me with many options as to how to tackle my desired look in my consultation. She chose the best option for me and I can genuinely say I've never been so happy leaving the salon. Somehow she managed to get exactly what I wanted in one try and for that I am beyond grateful. She relieved a lot of stress about dying my hair and I'm so very happy I stumbled upon Teo Hair & Body Works salon. The staff and atmosphere of the place is also incredibly kind and beautiful. This place is environmentally friendly and recycles wastes and chemicals! Very friendly customer service. I had my hair cut by Sophie who understood through my vague descriptions exactly what I was looking for. I came back a second time to get my hair dyed and I’m so glad I did. It’s nerve wracking letting someone put colours in your hair and you can’t see anything until it’s finished, but Sophie and her coworkers have great colour sense. Sophie handled my hair with confidence and was efficient. 11/10

It was my second return to Teo yesterday. La Dawn is a dream. Everyone here is. I got the basic Aveda shampure and conditioner...I love it to say the least. Everyone was a huge help!! 04/2017- It was my first time at Teo and I was truly treated like a princess. The whole of the staff was so friendly. I was offered coffe/tea/water at least 3x and everyone who passed me did so with a smile. I really hope I'm not getting their names wrong and I'll edit if I did (been a few weeks since) but I believe it was Barbara who shaped my brows and LaDawn that styled my hair. They were SO nice and did a spot on job...should've snapped a photo. I was shocked at the very affordable total. Perfect experience. They have a huge display of amazing Aveda products in the front for purchase as well????.

I was impressed by their Google reviews, that’s how I found this hair salon. I had Kristen as my hairdresser and – first impression? – I’m sorry but if you’re a hairdresser I want to be… somewhat inspired by your hair. It’s like going to a dentist and seeing their bright and healthy smile, it sort of sets an expectation, I suppose. But a greasy looking hair on a ponytail doesn’t cut it for me – no pun intended! So it all started with me telling Kristen that I wanted 3 inches off my hair to get rid of old layers and have a “U” shape cut, shorter at the front just enough to go over my ears but no layers, no flare and feathered cut, just a straight line from the shorter part on an angle to meet the rest of my hair, simple. Kristen cut less than what I asked, to be cautious, seemed annoyed to have to fix it and argued that the front be cut dry. You see… I’ve had my hair cut dry before or cut with a blade and it simply doesn’t work, period. When she couldn’t make the length even on both sides I asked her to stop cutting my hair and at that point I just wanted to leave... I paid for my hair cut despite being offered a free cut and a courtesy cut by the owner. After about two weeks of staring at my lopsided hair I decided to call them back and book my courtesy cut with the owner as promised. I was expecting that “wow” factor I went there for to begin with and was met once again with disappointment. My hair was not washed (wait…what??), instead Phil used a flat iron to straighten it and cut it dry. Yup. If I knew that my hair wasn’t going to be washed, I would’ve done that myself… But to cut my dirty and dry hair then call it a “courtesy” haircut? I felt shocked and unwelcome. I tried to keep it cool and make small conversation but when he helped himself to a cup of coffee without offering me anything I thought ok, that’s enough. I could’ve gone to ANY OTHER salon in Burlington but I picked yours to give it a try! I’m a simple person and hate making a big deal out of nothing but I also recognize that maybe what I was asking for only my previous hairdresser of 15 years can do; it’s just unfortunate that she’s in another town. As of right now my hair looks like a witch’s broom. It was a disastrous experience. Thank you for nothing. Really.

I love Aveda products and services. The vibe at Salon Teo on Brant Street is friendly and very busy. A feature is apprentice pricing ..... their apprentice stylists are amazing. Twice in the last year, Dillon has highlighted, cut and styled my hair. He is excellent at his craft and his enthusiasm is evident. I would recommend him to all who may try this downtown Burlington salon. The only one negative is the noise level which can be very distracting.

Thank you for an Amazing Haircut!! my Stylist is Shannon at the Appleby location. I always get greeted so warmly by so many people when I walk in. I am always offered a drink or something. Someone always asks if I wanted my Coat hung up.... its a great feeling when you walk in. Shannon cuts my hair exactly how I would like it, even if she is done and I am still not sure she continues to work with me until its 100%. Today was my first experience at Teo and I was quite disappointed. I had a cut and highlights which took 4 hours but somehow felt very rushed. The colour is not at all what we discussed and now I'm stuck with it for the next few months. All in it cost $210 which feels like a lot considering I really don't like it. Shame... I had the BEST experience I've ever had in a salon!! From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed, I was offered a tea, coffee or water. Had a conversation with a stylist, and she massaged my scalp! That was SO RELAXING!! She washed my hair ( and took her time to once again massage my head!) The time that was taken to make sure I had a great cut was Amazing! I truly felt Pamaered!! Lesley thank you for the awesome highlights and cut. Phil and Julie Schultz - you have a great thing going here. All staff are kind, helpful, cheerful, funny and most importantly are highly skilled at their profession. A good hair cut can make or break your look and shorten your hair prep time. I cannot recommend Salon Two highly enough.

Sophies been doing my hair for over a year now, my sister and cousins also go to see her because of how highly I recommend her services! she always creates a great atmosphere, she's open to hear concerns, she always fixing hair mistake that I make on myself and she listens throughly to make my hair exactly the way I want. I went for the first time a week ago, this last Wednesday. I was in a hurry to get my hair done nice before a conference and my regular stylist was booked full unfortunately. I did a lot of research I to which salon I wanted to go to and chose Teo from all of the positive reviews. While I did enjoy the atmosphere there, I dont feel like my experience was worth the $262.50 I paid a week ago to the day. For the same cost, I'd rather go to my own stylist who had gone the extra mile for me from my very first visit as a complete stranger. I went in for a cut and colour. I told the stylist the generalization of what i was looking for and got a basic cut in the end. The dye job was just as lacking. I've got random silver splotches all over - which was the whole point of going as I explained. Last time that happened was when I box dyed myself years ago. I've had lovely dye jobs with general cuts in the past for almost half the cost. But never a general cut and a missed dye for over $200. I'm generally quite disappointed. So much for getting what you pay for :/

I have been going to Salon Teo (and it's previous incarnations) for over 20 years. I love them. I always leave with a fantastic haircut, and my colour is always perfect. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, while still being professional. They make you feel like family.

I have been going to Téo on Brant street for over 2 years and I am obsessed!! The staff is so friendly I feel like I’m at my second home! Sophie does my hair everytime and boy does she take care of it ❤️ Love love love Téo and I can’t wait to go back! :)

I walked in with really bad streaks from another salon. I had wanted balayage blond hair. They did and absolutely amazing jobs covering up the terrible chuncky streaks and gave me gorgeous balayage. I didn’t think it could be done but they really worked some magic. I was especially pleased that my stylist consulted with the other stylists in the salon to make sure they had a good plan of action. It was a lot of work, with about 3-4 different steps to get the final look. I couldn’t be happier with the service. This is a great salon! Very friendly profression and they know how to deliver the latest trend correctly!
