I’ve been going to Candice for over 13 years now and followed her journey and thus far this is the best! Great location in downtown Burlington with accessible parking. Very inviting right down to the cup of tea or coffee they offer you! I would never trust anyone else with my hair colour besides Candice, I would consider her a colour specialist!

Lynn is an absolute goddess! I came to her with a botched job of dark semi-permanent dye & she turned it into beautiful icy ash blonde balayage. The studio is gorgeous and clean and all of the stylists are so sweet. You’ll be in good hands no matter who you see here ???? Can’t wait to be back !

Wow! To say I had a great experience would be an understatement. First of all, their covid precautions are very strict and always followed (I was there for 6 hours). These ladies are truly one team. They are professionals and while you may pay a hefty price, it’s well worth it for the product and the feeling they give you. I had my hair coloured by Leah and she was very thorough with her explanations of what service I was going to get. Every time she left my chair she always told me where she was going or when she’ll be back. The atmosphere in this salon is so positive, loving and supportive. The girls were so kind to eachother and complimenting eachother and helping eachother. It was a refreshing experience. The finished product was absolutely stunning. Thank you Leah for making me love my hair again. I will definitely be back!

Hair looks exactly like I wanted, exactly like the pictures. This never happens with any other stylists. Takes a long time, but the results are perfection! 100% recommend!

I was asked to do an e-transfer deposit of $50 to some random sounding email account before being able to make appointment to get my hair done, first red flag. I decided to pay the deposit in person, because it sounded sketchy. The salon owner answered the door. I asked for a ballpark amount it would cost to do my hair. I wanted 14" cut off so I could donate it to Wigs for Kids. My hair was natural and not colour treated and it's on the fine side not very thick. I wanted it cut to above shoulder length with choppy layers and some boliage highlights. The owner of the salon (when I was standing right in front of her) could not tell me how much it would cost to do this, 2nd red flag. How would the owner of the salon not know pricing in her own salon?! My hair was done by their junior hair stylist Courtney, she was very nice, friendly, and personable, she did a nice cut and colour, but holy cow! It cost me $400 + $50 tip for a relatively short hairstyle. I had a really nice similar cut and boliage done to my longer hair at Lucido Salon for half this price ($200 + tip). I would definately not be going back to La Viva Salon on Brant Street. I called afterwards to ask if maybe they had forgotten I had paid a deposit but the message I left with another stylist went unanswered. They never called me back. The owner seems totally shady, I saw her say something to my stylist at the back of the salon, and they both looked at me with weird guilty looks on their faces. It was not colour related. I knew something was up right there. My friend showed up to make an appointment for the next day to get a blow out done and when she asked the price, the girl said "$30... I mean $40 for a blow out." My friend went elsewhere when I told her what they charged me. My friends all had dropped jaws at what I paid for this do and all of them named salons they get their hair done at way less. A couple laughed and said wow that's Toronto pricing.

My hair was done by Candace. My hair was a complete disaster so I needed a color correction. She worked for 4 long hours to ensure my hair looked EXACTLY how I wanted it to be. She is very throughoh and talented stylist who listened and created the exact look I envisioned. Great envoirment in the shop as well and the girls are super friendly. I Will 100% be coming back!!

I met Lynn from working at the mall and loved her hair and asked where she got it done so I gave her salon a try and omg... Amanda was so genuine and cute and first time anywhere I actually love the cut. Honestly don’t even need to go for a keratin treatment, 3days after and my hair is still so silky and shiny and not even oily. Super clean and relaxing environment everyone’s so nice and caring, I’ll be coming back forsure. ALSO, they got some great christmas promos going on so I’d check their ig for that???? Lynn and her team are AMAZING. This is truly the best quality, most professional salon I have ever received services at. Lynn did a beautiful balayage on my very dry, damaged hair. She was very thorough and my hair turned out stunning, and was exactly what I wanted. Lynn is honest and realistic, and will tell you what is possible to do with your hair in a single session and what is not. The complimentary hair treatment that accompanied my balayage left my hair feeling soft and healthy. While I have only received hair services from Lynn, I have seen the results of other stylists while I was at the salon, and all of their clients' hair turned out absolutely beautiful. The girls are all so friendly and take their time speaking to their clients to ensure that they are on the same page about the desired outcome. In regards to the previous reviewer who complained about the price of her service - this is a high-quality salon that uses high-quality products and techniques. Lynn worked on my hair for over 4 hours. If you consider the time and effort she puts into her work, along with the cost of the products that she is using and the quality of her services, the prices are completely justified and very reasonable. Honestly hands down the BEST haircolor/balayage experience in GTA. It's located at the heart of Burlington right by the lakeshore - it's stunning on the way you drive by it. I recommend you booking with them on Instagram accordingly though, since they're by appointment-only & they're SO busy! I have been getting my hairs done everywhere and the quality of their service is so much worth investing. Courtney did an amazing work on my hair entering fall season, I asked for a toned down ash grey look, a bit mushroom, or even slate grey-ish, and she just mastered it! I was so happy walking out of the salon, it's been a day and I'm already getting so many compliments from everyone at work, family, my friends, etc. People were so warm, approachable, and pretty. All the staffs seemed super knowledgeable on their service which was really helpful to pick up on. 100% give it all for Courtney. Thank you again sweetheart <3

Lynn is a hair magician!!! I did my first balayage at La Viva back in October and I was over the moon with the end result. She goes above and beyond to make all of her clients look and feel amazing. I’m very selective about who I let touch my hair because it is very temperamental. After changing many stylists, I can honestly say that I trust her opinion 100%. On my first visit, I spent 6 hours in her chair. I left her salon after midnight because she was dedicated to finishing the job. My hair was in pretty bad condition when I walked in and she exceeded my expectations. Strangers often stop me to ask where I get my hair done. I recommend her every time. 10/10!

I have been trying to find a consistent salon since I began going blonder in 2017. I could not be happier to have found La Viva and my stylist Lea. The salon itself is so inviting and everyone is kind, they make to you feel welcome and at home (even with all the COVID restrictions in place). Lea outdoes herself every time I come and not only listens to what I want but put enormous effort into my colour and cut everytime as well (4+ hours). I thought i had yet to find the salon I could see myself going back to for years but then I found La Viva! Would recommend this salon to anyone, any age and any gender! You will love it. Went here first time. Stylist double booked me and rushed my service. Said she used olaplex and did a treatment on me did not do one. Color came out well, however my hair is fried since she didn't use olaplex even though they advertise they do. I watched her mix my color...so straight up lies. Cost was fairly high I won't be going back as now I don't trust this salon.

Absolutely incredible!!! I had made a mess of my own hair trying to lighten it at home and Lynn was able to work actual ✨magic✨ On my hair. I am so in love with the way it turned out and Lynn could not have been more kind or amazing throughout the whole process. And it was a long process, I felt so bad keeping her there as long as I did but she was nothing but sweet and reassuring. Her skills are insane and I have received nothing but compliments on my hair from my friends and family. She made me feel SO comfortable while getting my hair done and she did EXACTLY what I wanted. She is the hair queen and has an eye for color. I love love love my blonde! My experience af La Viva was nothing but amazing! The girls there are wonderful and very welcome. I came in with extremely damaged hair and Lynn was honest and open with me about how I can help restructure my hair. She spent quite abit of time and lots of patience to help me achieve what I wanted. There was food and refreshments offered for the clients aswell ???? such nice gestures. I got my hair done today by Stylist Lea. First time visiting this salon after 7 attempts at other salons around Burlington turning me down and stating they would not be able to put red in my medium to dark brown hair. Well, today Lea managed to do what was claimed “impossible” at other salons. My experience was fabulous, the colour turned out AMAZING. All the stylists were super friendly and inviting.. price was great! I would recommend coming to La Viva to get your hair done (among other services the salon offers- ie nails(mani / pedi), waxing, microblading ). I came into the salon feeling doubtful based off what other stylists at other salons told me about the look I was going for and tried talking me out of my idea, but when I left La Viva today, I felt 1000x better and was super happy with how the look and colour turned out! Definitely a must visit to this salon!

My experience with La Viva hair studio was absolutely fantastic! I hated my hair when I walked into the salon I gave the stylist Lea some ideas of what I wanted to achieve and she ran with it! She not only spent her ENTIRE day on my hair (7 hours) she transformed my long straggly hair into a masterpiece, that I love! The time and effort Lea put into my hair really shows! Not only are ALL the staff so talented but they are also so kind and welcoming! I felt welcomed and comfortable from the second I walked in the door until the second I left! 10/10 recommend!

Worst experience ever. Whenever I got the owner Lynn to do my hair, I've always left happy. But when she wasn't available they assigned me another stylist, I asked for a specific hairstyle and she just ignored the photo i showed her of what I wanted and added abunch of blonde aswell as none of it was blended and looked really choppy and unattractive. I had to go back so they could add more brown in because there was too much blonde in my hair. Then she added too much brown and pretty much ruined the look I wanted. They left the bottom half of my hair foils in longer (almost 2 hours) and left the top foils in for only 20 minutes, so now my hair was 3 different colours. When I asked if they'd be fixing it, she tried to charge me more while I already spent over $300 and they messed it up and expected me to pay more to fix it!? Horrible customer service. I wouldn't of been mad about it, if the owner wasn't trying to charge me more money for THEIR SALON'S MISTAKE. She should of apologized for the inconvenience and fixed their mistake?! The stylist completely fried the bottom of my hair which looked almost white as she left the bleach in way too long and the top looked orange. She tried to hide her mistake with very large obnoxious curls that weren't flattering. This was about a year ago and only NOW has my hair finally gotten back to its healthy self after I basically had to chop off all my hair to get rid of the damage that was beyond repair. Very unhappy with my experience here, but the staff are very friendly to say the least.

This is the place where magic happens! Lynn and her team run a beautiful salon in the heart of downtown Burlington. My personal stylist was Lea. They say she is a 'Junior Stylist' but I'm still not sure I believe it! She cut with precision, coloured with confidence, and for the first time ever I was able to lighten my dark brown hair without it feeling dry and damaged afterwards. The appointments are longer than anything I've experienced in the past, but there is a reason. These girls have their balayage process down to a science. Each step is approached with great care in order to achieve the look in those photos you've all saved on your phone from Instagram lol (there's no shame here ladies - we've all done it!) Visit this gem of a salon. You won't be disappointed!
