The balayage highlights she has done on my hair looks amazing, so natural; and I'm always happy with my hair cuts too. She saved my hair that had been absolutely ruined just a few days earlier at a different salon. She gave me EXACTLY what I wanted to a t. It was like someone copy and pasted my inspiration pictures on to my head. She took my freshly dyed BLACK hair to the most gorgeous rose-gold blonde. My mind is still blown that it was even possible. On top of that, the entire staff was so nice and welcoming and the price was reasonable. I could not recommend enough. She was so good that I stopped her mid-appointment to book an appointment for my friend the next day. Absolutely outstanding service.

Amazing Experience! I have seen Nicole twice now. First for a cut. Which was the first time in my life I had my hair cut and still loved it the next day and everyday after! Today I went for colour. My fiancé and I came in here to get him a haircut and I to get a deep conditioning treatment -specifically Ola Plex. The male hairstylist who served us criticized me for not getting more done to my hair other than a deep conditioning treatment (acted as if he t wasn't worth their time) and then proceeded to try and upsell me into different conditioning treatments which I hadn't requested. At the end another person working at the salon came up to me and asked me if I requested Olaplex to which I replied yes and she fixed it for me so that he wouldn't do a different conditioning process that he thought would be better which I hadn't asked for. At this point I was still calm but once I saw my fiancé I couldn't believe what had happened. We had asked the hairstylist to do a simple short haircut with the length graduating from short at the bottom to longer at the top styled with some wax. A very standard, in-style male haircut. To my shock and dismay, he was given a haircut that was very short all the way up around the crown of his head and then long on the top like his head was shaped like an egg or the haircut was designed for someone in the army and performed by he who didn't know how to cut hair. We didn't know what to say as we were shocked at the time and ended up paying and left. Afterward my fiancé was so upset that he contemplated shaving his head to fix the problem. We will never go back .In the photo I included you can see the ugly hair cut.

I went to get my hair done, I wanted some balayage highlights and to have a hair cut done although I couldn’t afford it, they were very professional trying to find things to make it more affordable, I really love how my hair turned out and I’m so glad I found this place, I haven’t gone to many hair dressers in Burlington, but I’m pretty sure this is one of the best ones (If not the best one), people there are super nice and I felt so confortable, really love this place.

Frozan and Agusto are absolutely phenomenal! I came in at the beginning of the year in tears from a horrible job another salon did. I am naturally a brunette and had been a blonde for 15 plus years.. I went to a salon at Burlington mall for the first time and I went from beautiful long blonde hair... to broken, thin short hair... not from a cut.. it just broke off???? Frozan and Agusto took the time to explain what they. could and couldn’t do.. explained what needed to get cut, and what could be done with the colour. I left that appointment with my confidence back and happy.. it’s been about 6 months and a few appointments more, and I love my hair again ! Frozan takes care of my colour and Agusto cuts my hair... I have been going to Fro for a year now and I am always so happy with the results. My hair always looks so blonde and healthy. When I first started going to her my hair was brassy and dead and she completely transforms it. Fro does my color and is always game to change it up. She consistently meets my very high expectations. She is a magician. Thank goodness for Fro. Carmen has also blessed my hair and given me a beautiful lasting cut, meeting my multiple requests (thank you for your patience!). He stocks amazing Aveda products and the staff are happy to educate on what would work best with your hair type. I have also been well taken care of by many other staff members. They are happy to chat or make you a delicious cappuccino. I love how accommodating and flexible they are. Highly recommend this fabulous upscale salon.

Never once have I gone to this salon and gotten what I asked for. They always tell me what THEY think I should have, as if they're doing me a favour. I'm paying over 100 dollars for this stupid haircut! Give me what I asked for! All the employees have such attitudes. Probably because they won all those 'awards' and it's all gone to their heads. I've got to this salon twice and I walked out unhappy both times with cuts that look nothing like what I wanted. I have light brown hair and every time all I've wanted is to be dyed blonde and they NEVER do it. They always tell me "you'd look better as you are now". The staff and stylists were absolutely amazing! Was not happy though when the owner Carmen interrupted my relaxing day off mumbling suggestions into my stylist’s ear making both her and myself insecure about what I wanted done. Kept walking by without even saying hello to me just giving looks and talking to my stylist “privately”. Then while paying the process took over 10 minutes while he was again sending messengers in making sure i was paying full price, even though that’s what I was anticipating to do. Apparently he thought I was arguing about the price and made a big to-do about it and again never once confronted me or approached me. Made me feel very awkward and I know for sure I can never go back there and feel relaxed and treated well.

If you are of Asian (Chinese ) ethnicity please stay away from this salon. I'm sure they cut hair fine according to all the other reviews but they are inexperienced in cutting Asian hair. I should have not paid a full $40 for a wash and cut ( not worth it what so ever ), it mediocre at best. I wish i could have went back in time and told them to stop cutting while I could have. Obviously my fault and clearly lack of communication with the stylist. Worst haircut of my life.

Kylie was suppose to do my hair and I was basically turned away due to the condition of my hair. We all understand that blonde hair might not always be in the best condition but commenting negatively about a clients hair is not a way to make your client feel comfortable about getting their hair done. Not only that but her and this other women make it seem like it was impossible to do my hair, every option turned out negative and they didn’t suggest anything else to do, so we walked out of there. Also, if you’re looking to do roots don’t suggest you come here if you have less than 1 inch of root she will charge $200. Absolutely insane. I have never walked out of a salon before and definitely wouldn’t recommend this place if your hair isn’t in tip top shape. UPDATE: went to a different salon a day later and got what I was asking for without the rude insults :)

Augusto is the most professional, detail oriented and patient stylist I’ve ever been to! I was so impressed with the service at Hair Xtacy. I called the salon two weeks ago to make an inquiry about perming services. The receptionist was very friendly and happy to answer all of my questions. She scheduled me for a consultation with Augusto for that same week. My consultation Augusto was great. He gave it to me ‘straight’. He told me the risks of perming my already highlighted hair and explained the care process I would need to following for permed hair. He made me feel very informed about the decision I was making. I never felt like he was trying to sell his services to me, he had my hairs best interest in mind. A week later I had my actual appointment. Augusto walked me step by step through the process of the perm and told me what we were doing along the way. Augusto patiently explained to me the best way to care for my permed hair and recommended products for me to use. During my consultation and my perm appointment the salon owner was there, he was very friendly and inquired about the services I was having done. If I could give this salon 6 stars I would. From the reception staff to my stylist to the owner, I had a positive interaction with everyone along the way. You can really tell that Augusto and the owner take pride on their work and care about your hair.

Updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars as great customer service is hard to find sometimes and he is one of the good ones. Got my hair done by a senior stylist at this salon. I would have assumed if I am paying $100 for a cut, I would have gotten more than a round brush blow dry. From past experience, I am always asked how I want my hair styled. Typically it would be a similar style to the photo I bring in of how I want my hair done. 1. Because it will help me see that my hair is in fact cut and able to be styled that way. 2. If I am paying $100 to have my hair done, it would be nice to have it more than just blow dried. I can do that at home.

Hair Xtacy on Ironstone Dr.and Appleby line is the best hair salon I've been to in many years . My hair was a total mess when I arrived ,having been overprocessed by previous salons to the point of breakage ?There was no style ,it was long and scraggly. Carmen and Frozanne took the initial time to assess my hair' s health first and explained what was needed to give strength to it and style to compliment my face.Frozanne ,an expert in hair colouring assessed it for the appropriate colouring ,low lights that wouldn't further damage my hair. To sum it up ,these professionals really care about your hair,and don't just colour and highlight if that is what you want done .They explain what's needed and you decide. I was conditioned,keratinned,cut twice by Carmen and then Frozanne foiled taking the thinnest layers at a time due to my very thin hair. Other staff were around and were very friendly and gave input on best conditioners etc. It was a very enjoyable experience.All staff are very open and friendly. Carmen is a very skilled stylist and a Frozanne works magic . .I received so many compliments and that's something that I haven't heard in a long time .
