Amazing experience! I went to this new salon close to work last week. Love their private rooms that gave me the ultimate privacy I much needed after a long day. Great shampooing and head massage and the gentleman constantly asked if I am feeling ok. Chris gave me consultation on hairstyle and later I found out he had worked in high end salons in Hong Kong before. Would definitely be a repeat customer!

I went to Urban Oasis a few months ago and the attention was so good I had no doubt in going back! I got the Keratin treatment with Chris today and my hair has never looked better! It’s super shiny, straight (how I like it) and healthy! The overall experience at this salon is phenomenal; they’re clean, respectful, super professional and polite. Its been 15 months since COVID 19 started that I visited a hairdresser. So I was looking specifically for a stylist who would give me an uplift and a hair redo. The studio is clean and had individual private rooms and high ceilings calming my fears of ventilation and crowded spaces. I was visiting Vancouver and decided to get my hair done while I was in town. This salon was close to my hotel and had good reviews, so I thought I’d give it a try. I am so happy I did! Chris was truly awesome. I’m not always the best at defining the type of look/cut/style I want, but he got it just right. The salon was modern and clean, all COVID-19 protocols were followed, and Chris even ran outside after me when I forgot my credit card inside. Still not convinced? Back at my hotel, I crosed a maid in the hallway and greeted her. She replied: “I love your hair!”. I kid you not! Go. You won’t be disappointed!

My first experience here this past week - I received a men's haircut, and it was an experience unlike anywhere else I've been. First of all, a team works around you, so there's a stylist and the stylist's assistant. As part of the haircut, I received style recommendations, a shampoo, a massage, a rinse and styling after the haircut. They took their time, and there was zero rush, unlike most barbershops that want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. It was a luxurious and relaxing experience. Awesome staff. Will return a few more times to make sure the service is consistent before giving the full 5 stars.

I went urban oasis for a haircut, and the result was just what I asked for! The salon is very clean and cozy, you will have a hair treatment in your own styling room which is a VIP experience that you can’t have from other salons. What a professional, high end experience. I have honestly never had such a great experience at a salon as I did at Urban Oasis. I know 10 minutes in that I was going to write an amazing review because they deserve to be acknowledged for their hard work and amazing skill/attention to detail not just in their work but the over all experience. Having your own room was so great to just relax, be extremely sanitary and feel pampered. Chris was so knowledgeable with over 20 years experience and I not only got an amazing hair cut but I learned so much about my hair and how to really take care of it. Every part of the process was seamless, even when teaching his assistant. I received an amazing scalp and head massage / shampoo and conditioner which was so relaxing and their lie down washing station is a great addition as you don’t get a sore neck like at most seated ones in salons. Overall, the team at Urban Oasis were amazing, sanitary and made getting a haircut such a relaxing and easy experience. I highly recommend them.

I have thick asian hair so it’s really difficult to do. They successfully got my hair to the perfect blonde with an ash tone. Excellence and COVID safety! On August 11th Chris gave me a perfect cut and then hair “botox” (from dull and frizzy to shiny and silky) in the best COVID safe environment possible. Masks and gloves are required, and the salon is super clean. Chris designed the salon with private rooms for each client! This was for privacy, but now that the COVID pandemic is happening, it’s the safest salon I’ve seen! My consultation, cut, treatment and blow dry were in one private room, with me as the only client. Even for the wash I was the only client in the other room, as during COVID the appointments are spaced for safety. Chris is a gifted stylist who made me feel happy and relaxed. There was ample street parking right outside. He has top quality products and equipment, including the most comfortable chair and washing station I’ve experienced (you don’t have to bend your neck back). A wonderful and safe experience. My hair has never looked better.

This past weekend I had my first hair appointment at Urban Oasis and was pleasantly surprised by the unique experience! When you walk into the salon, I was immediately welcomed and provided with hand sanitizer and a special disinfectant air mist to sanitize my clothes. I was brought to my own private room for my haircut which was very comforting given the current pandemic situation! Chris then provided recommendations for different hairstyles and plenty of useful advice for how to care for my hair specifically. I have very damaged hair from dying it previously at another salon and Chris made note of this and ensured I got my hair washed with the right products to help revive my hair. Violet provided a great shampoo session and super relaxing scalp massage! Both Chris and Violet were attentive to my needs and ensuring that I was comfortable throughout my hair session. Chris did a great job with my haircut and I love the softness of my hair after having my session here! Will definitely come back in the future for another haircut!

I went to Urban Oasis for a hair cut, firstly the place was very modern and clean every client gets their own private room, it felt like a spa experience! Chris my hair stylist was awesome I asked him for a recommendation on what type of style I should go with as I was unsure what I wanted to do. He listened to what I usually do on a day to day basis with my hair and I decided to get more layers in my hair for more texture. I got my permanent straightening done just 3 months ago, i really wanted to see how my hair will work after some time before writing a review. I came to a result that my hair are not completely straightened. Even he didn’t gave me any hair product like shampoo or conditioner to use and actually charged me around $400 dollars. And I have to use a hair straightener every time I wash my hair. Now if I ask any other hair salon they actually charge half of this price and provide necessary products for hair. Completely disappointed with the scam. Never going there again.

Chris is a fantastic stylist, and his ease at which he cuts, and styles your hair speak to his technical experience. Chris is not only an amazing hairstylist, he is fun to talk to and he is great with kids. I brought both my kids for a hair cut including myself, and Chris made sure both my son and I were more than satisfied with our cut. As for my daughter, it was her first ever cut, I was so nervous I didn't know what to think. Chris eased that nervousness by giving my daughter the best first experience ever and both my wife and I were so happy with the cut. This salon is the first I've been that are very clean and covid friendly, they have these private rooms where not only you'll feel like a VIP but also very safe. As well they do a deep sanitizing of all guests before entering. I highly recommended this place if you're looking for a great haircut and experience.

Today, I went for the first time to the Urban Oasis Salon. I have to say, I am very impressed with the service I received. I have to admit I was a bit nervous prior to going because I had never been to such a fancy salon, but my boyfriend assured me that the staff were amazing. He had booked the appointment by phone and told me that the staff were very attentive, helpful and very detail oriented during the booking. He was right! I have never had such an amazing experience at a salon. I am still in awe of how beautiful the salon was. Chris was very professional and answered all of my questions. Decided to visit this salon for the first time on a whim while staying in downtown Vancouver. For a spur of the moment "treat" to myself I couldn't have picked a better place! First of all they were very accommodating in getting me a same day appointment, which was greatly appreciated. Once I arrived they were on time (or even a few minutes early) getting me in. From the moment you arrive the salon exudes a high quality, almost VIP, feeling to it. The ladies at the front were warm and friendly in greeting and Naomi took me right back to my private room. The level of attention to detail throughout your salon experience with Urban Oasis is like no other salon I've previously visited - and only served to add to an already very positive experience. And of course Chris, the stylist, was absolutely wonderful to work with. You can tell from the moment you meet him that he is a master in what he does. He provided excellent recommendations during the consult and I am over the moon delighted with the hair cut I received. Even the way Chris styled my hair after the cut, allowing my natural curl to shine through, was unlike any other cut and style I've received before. I could really go on and on about my experience, but I think the best way to truly understand how great it was to go and experience it for yourself :) I am certain you won't regret it! And I will absolutely look to come back in the future when I'm visiting Vancouver.

Bad experience with Chris. I was hopeful as the reviews are so great, but he didn’t do what I asked for and then blamed me afterwards. I had asked him to add highlights like the blonde in the picture on the left, I ended up with the picture on the right, a weird brown-blonde. I spent 9 hours at the salon, and spent $1000 which is the longest and most expensive salon visit by far. There are better stylist’s out there, in my opinion.
