My go to hair salon for Asians, really understand how the what face shape is suitable for which type of hair cut and skin tone/ hair colour matching. Appointment only I would say but they do accept you if it's small just trim or minor style,not like updo or anything that requires heat tools.

Highly recommend this hair salon. They follow protocol of covid 19. Very clean and professional. Staff are friendly. In just 10 seconds, I feel the warmth welcome. I feel I've known them for so long and to the fact that its my first time. I am a customer that talks a lot and question a lot. So no complaints. Procedure was explained well, and they give you choices, they give opinion and they do recommend if needed, but in the end it's still up to you what do you want. I did Japanese straightening treatment. And it was amazing! To be honest I can't decide what to do with my hair but as they said, leave it to the expert, and viola! I am very very happy with the outcome. Thank you Takashi my stylist, you are amazing. See you soon! And ohhhh!, for the parking, there's parking in the front and back of the salon which is a bonus.

Look exactly like Aragaki Yui！but as I didn’t live in Richmond, I went to another place several months ago and it was a disaster. My friend recommended Kaori, and she did a perfect job today! Actually it is the best experience for me to get a hair cut! I will only go here in the future!

Aya did an incredible job with my hair. I have moved to 3 different cities, and always looking for the best hair stylist. 7 hairstylists later, I finally found someone that knows how to cut my hair so that it feels flowy, settles nicely with minimal to no styling, and feels healthy again. I have bleached my hair for over 15 years now and after her bonding treatments my hair finally feels like it was when I was 20 years old. The way she colored my hair did not sting my sensitive scalp at all, and I love the color! I like to do bold colors, but it takes an artist to make it still look like hair and not a cheap wig. She knew exactly how to handle my thick, damaged, bleached hair (with a history of multiple different colors). Rejoice! I finally found the hair stylist that I have been searching for. Bonus- she is sooo sweet and polite.

As per BCCDC requirements. The child under 2 should not wear mask due to risk of breathing problems. Not very kids friendly. Was trying book appointment, and they want me to ensure my daughter will wear mask all the time who is under 2. I guess they don’t care that much with kids business.

They provide careful and thorough consultations to ensure they give you the right results without comprising your hair’s health. I go to Aya all the time and she is the best!

I have never been to a hair stylist more than once, but I have to say I will definitely be going back many times!! Hands down the best hair cut experience I’ve been had. I had my hair cut a couple of months ago and the stylist didn’t do what I wanted and didn’t put any layers in my hair even though I asked. I have very thin straight hair so without any layers it’s sits very heavy and flat. But Harry did amazing job and did exactly what I wanted and I barely had to say anything! The cut looks amazing and so natural and doesn’t have that “just cut” look. I love how he did my hair and he gave the best scalp massage! (The most important part of a hair cut really). I’m not the most chatty person, so this is usually awkward at salons trying to make conversation but it seemed really comfortable and no one minded that I was on the quiet side. The staff were all friendly and smiley. I was so glad they were very accommodating as well, I was able to book my appointment the day before! And to top it all off when I was leaving Harry held out my jacket for me to put on! Was all around a great experience, the only downside is they only have two parking spaces reserved for them. The rest of the parking is reserved for other places in the same complex. I parked in a spot that wasn’t reserved for the salon but I didn’t end up with a ticket so it was al good!

Tokyo Allure is worth every penny I spent there. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. They listen to all your needs and wants in your haircut and will definitely cater to them. I have not been more satisfied with a hair salon than I am with Tokyo Allure. I will definitely be returning again when I need another haircut. Try them out! It might not be for everyone but their service is top notch!

Went for permanent straightening. They left one whole strand. When i went again and ask them if they can fix it. Guy did not show any interest and his response was i am busy. They never called me again to fix it. Wasted 230$.

I can assure everyone that she’s one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever met and I am so glad I found her !! First of all, i know she did try, tried hard to cut my hair straight (but failed). I even tipped her well at the end to encourage her. However, for you and her future clients, i really wish this young lady to improve her haircut skills. After haircut, i knew the length both sides are not matched so i asked her trim more several times. (I got home and checked) of course the hair length didn't match, too much layer both and back of hair. exactly 3 days after i visited the salon, i had to go another one to look presentable. I do not think i ever go this salon again personally.

The salon was relatively cleaner than the pre Covid times. The safety protocol was very well in place. I went to a master stylist and she was good. However at multiple occasions, I felt that there was an issue with our communication. It could be because she could not hear me clearly since I was wearing a mask or language overall. Also, not that she meant it that way, but there was no need to mention how thin or how grey my hair were. My haircut was not as expected, but she was fast and efficient.

Price is cheap about $30 for male and $45 or female. big parking lot, too so don't have to find spot on the street or in a mall.

I was looking long and hard for a very skilled stylist to do my Japanese straightening treatment and finally took a plunge and chose Harry. I drove all the way from Seattle and let me tell you it was the best decision of my life! ???? I know I was a client who was asking for a lot but Harry willingly and patiently looked at what I asked for and was able to go above and beyond and deliver. I asked for a layered cut, straightening treatment, and color - this entire process took close to 5-6 hours and diligently Harry worked on my hair. He is truly a stylist who wants the best outcome for his clients and his skill is worth driving a country over. I've received so many compliments on my hair and he gave me the hair of my dreams - I was so very pleased. The customer service at the salon is fantastic starting from front to finish. I booked $55 haircut, as per website, the director would be my hairdresser. I was very disappointed after hair cut. She didn’t even dry my hair and she told me it’s done. I had to tell her to do so.My hair become more difficult to take care after she did so many layers.

I went for a hair cut. I wanted a inverted bob with some layer in the front. And i got the style just how i like it. I've tried many places before and i always got something different. So I'm glad i tried this place. My hairstylist named Miki. She is very nice and friendly. She used scissors to cut my hair and I really like this [because I had been to places where they used razor instead. It makes my hair end sharp and feels itchy when poking on my neck. ] I have alot more hair than average people and she was very patient and thorough. She did it small portions at time and keep checking the length to make sure its even and to the length i wanted. Loved the experience. I will definitely come here again for my next hair cut.

Makoto did a great work on my hair. I haven't styled my hair for 3 years and want to try short hair style. I made a appointment with Makoto and she consulted with me in advance to see which style I would like to go with. Then when it came to my appointment, she did some research already by showing me the photos she thought would suit my style. She is very patient, sweet and careful. She constantly checked with me and discussed with me if this was something I want. I did both cut + digital perm and I am very pleased with the result. Thank you Makoto! Booked an appointment on a Friday for a woman's haircut. Jerey who also goes by Jay, who said he had no problem cutting my hair (sent him a picture of my hair and the haircut I wanted) cancelled on the day of, a few hours before the actual appointment time, saying the salon was busy. So rebooked my appointment the following Wednesday. The day before, confirmed with Jeremy of the appointment on Wednesday. Confirmed and did not say anything. Now comes Wednesday and just like he did before, he cancels this appointment saying he cannot cut my hair the way I wanted . Why did he not even mention that Tuesday when I called to confirm the appointment, at least? If you don't want to waste your time, DONT GO HERE

It is even better than I had wanted and my hair (very ugly and dry before as you can see in the photo) feels so soft and silky now, even after bleaching. By far the best haircut/hairstyle I have ever had :) Ayuko was so kind and patient answering all my questions and spent time teaching me how to care for and style my new hair. They have parking in the front & back, just make sure you park in the spots marked for Tokyo Allure. Some reviewers complained about communication issues. My tip is to show them pictures of what you want. I actually printed a photo to show Ayuko because I don't think I can verbally explain what I wanted.

I have low maintenance hair style so I only get haircut, no perm, no dye, etc. I found Miyuki was very experienced and offered insights about my hair care that other stylists never do. I've gotten my hair cut and dyed with a few different hairstyles here, but when I finally found Masako I can't go to other salons or have other hairstylist do my hair anymore! She's very well communicated, bright, and her services are superb. She's one of those who really thinks from a customer's point of view and do what's good for them. She also takes notes of what was done during her customer's visits, so that she remembers things such as the colour combo that was used on your hair. All in all, a lovely and skillful hairstylist, and the place is always friendly and clean.

So I booked them for both my hair dye and cut. For some reason they decided at the time of my appointment that my dye will take a longer time so they can't do it, so I end up only getting my haircut. I was very disappointed and I asked multiple times that figure something out I really need a dye there's a function I need to attend tomorrow but all in vain. This left me no choice but to go elsewhere for a hair dye which added upon my tiring day. Even the hair cut was very average, I had to get it improvised. Not happy at all. Won't be going back.

I usually go to a different salon but booked at Tokyo Allure because my friends had hair appointments here and they had an availability. Wow, 11/10. Miyuki was a wealth of knowledge about hair care. She looked at my hair and had some suggestions for care. My hair looks fantastic. I asked for an effortless style because I’m lazy with my hair and she delivered 110% I didn’t even need to show her a photo or anything. I would recommend booking with Miyuki.

It was a great experience having my haircut and hair treatment by Harry at Tokyo Allure. The staff are all really welcoming and friendly. Harry was able to help me so much with my unmanageable hair, it was so worth it to try this salon. I'm also thankful they managed to accommodate me even if I booked my appointment at the very last minute. What I noticed is that they would not push or insist the customers products or treatments just to boost their sales. They do give very helpful tips and suggest treatments to maintain your hair and then leave it to your decision after that. This certainly makes the whole visit very pleasant for me. I'm very sure I'll come back again for my next hairstyle. Thank you!
