Got my first perm. Super professional clean and through. Rachel spoke a bit of English but that didn't stop her from answering my questions. Can't go wrong. Price is on the more expensive side tho.

They went ahead and shaved off a chunk of my sides when I asked for a trim. The cut was asymmetrical and looks horrible. I'll have to wear a cap for the next couple of weeks to hide the disaster.

Rachel's hair salon is fantastic! Rachel is friendly, attentive, communicates well and works with you to do your hair the way you want while using her experience to guide you away from things that may not work or might not look good. I gave her a few pictures from different sides of what my hair looked like the last time I got it cut at a high-end salon that was more expensive, and she knocked it out of the park. I don't speak korean and I was worried about a language barrier but her english is fine and she is more than happy to repeat herself if you ask her to clarify. Prices are affordable and a great value for the quality of work. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a great haircut, color, or perm.

I called in the morning, got a walk-in that afternoon, and Rachel did a fast, excellent job. I have to say I have A LOT of hair and had not gotten a cut in 7 months because of school being very busy but she did not make me feel embarrassed that I neglected to cut my hair. We chatted a bit but she was accepting that I am a bit shy and I do not like to talk a lot, and overall, she made me feel very relaxed. The price was reasonable as we all know other salons in Vancouver love to overcharge people just for a haircut. I will definitely be back!

I got a good hair cut the first time. I tipped 25%. The hair cut lasted 5 weeks. I went back 4 more times, the haircut got worse every time. The haircut has now fallen out within days. Rachel is very inconsistent in cutting men’s hair. She takes her time on your first visit, but rushes your haircut when there’s a lineup (which always does) she also does a TERRIBLE Job on the sideburns, and doesn’t pay attention on that area.

Rachel and Ellie were so friendly and professional in their service. I was a bit nervous to get my hair toned and trimmed from previous bad experiences elsewhere but Rachel listened to what I wanted and provided her advice on what my hair could handle (my hair is quite damaged). I also got a hair treatment, which really helped the condition of my hair. I could tell the advice I got was coming from genuine concern vs. trying to get me to purchase more services. I would highly recommend!

November update: I am delighted with my hair cut. She is a scissor wizard. Can’t say it enough - trust your hair to Rachel and her oh-so-sweet assistant, who provides a relaxing head massage as she washes your hair, and may do a little translation, along the way. They are an awesome team. Sept 2021 I love Rachel! What a super talented, fun, and kind woman. I really love the way she does business. I have not had my haircut since the pandemic started but I am going to and it will be her that I have transforming my head of knots. ????????????‍♀️
