Had such a great experience at this salon with Rebecca! I fell in love with her work on Instagram (@hair_by_beccam) and let her transform my plain Asian hair to this beautiful ashy purple-y balayage. I’ve never had my hair dyed before and I’m in love! She was super nice and patient during the consultation by helping me choose my dream color and by setting realistic expectations. We did did 2 sessions to not damage my hair by lightening it too quickly (since it was literally just plain black before). We went through aftercare instructions and I’ve been back for a toning session. It’s been a few months since I started lightening my hair and it still feels healthy and the color is lovely. I’m so glad I listened to her!

I have been using Ludmela Truba as my hairdresser for about 15 years. I have followed her from salon to salon, city to city. I have long, coarse, thick hair and she has been one of the only people to really understand my hair and be able to style it the way I like it. She has been colouring my hair and blow drying and flat ironing it straight. I always get compliments after I have been in to see Ludmela. Her salon is clean and bright and conveniently located downtown. There is ample parking on the street. Ludmela always takes the time necessary to do a perfect job on my hard to handle hair. I would highly recommend her and Zone Hair Gallery.

I had Rebecca as my hairdresser when I got balayage for the first time, and she was so accommodating and welcoming, and just overall so friendly and helpful when deciding what would be the best options for my hair! She took into consideration what I was looking for, and gave me a realistic approach whilst still making sure I was 100% happy with what we would go through with. She took the utmost amount of care with my hair, and after going once I know I wouldn’t trust anyone else! The result of my hair was beautiful, and the products used were so professional and totally worth the money I paid. Top notch quality and amazing customer interaction with not only Rebecca, but with all the other hairdressers at the salon! Everyone was so friendly and I felt so welcome, even with how fancy the place seems to be! My stylist Ludmilla has been cutting and coloring my hair for 17 years. I have occasionally gone to others but nobody makes my hair look as good as she does. She is a perfectionist when it comes to cuts and color. She uses Bioesthetique products which are very gentle on the hair. My hair is baby fine and straight so it's not easy to cut and style but she makes it look fuller and so healthy. In spite of moving to Penticton 3 years ago I still visit Ludmilla whenever I'm in town.

A quiet location hides an amazing professional hair salon. Mila's expertise in style, cut and colour is without match. I have been seeing Mila for 12 years. She is the only stylist I have every experienced that could repeatedly give a perfect cut to my very voluminous hair. I have received many compliments weeks after a cut from strangers and friends. To get a compliment the day of a cut is one thing but days afterwards is a testament to the quality of the stylist. Visiting Zone Hair Gallery is a relaxing and personal experience. This isn't a salon pumping through as many hair cuts as it can in a day. If you want a professional salon for a proper styling, cut or colouring where you are treated right I truly recommend Zone.

Mila, the owner, has been cutting my hair for 2 years now. She listens to your preferences, gives great hair care advice, and does a phenomenal job with haircuts (she's a perfectionist). I don't have time to come back every 2 months, so she cuts my hair just so that it grows out perfectly until I'm ready to come back. She's also the only person I have felt comfortable enough to sit through an hour long appointment with and is very personable. Her pricing is better than most high-end salons and they can always squeeze you in! This one is highly recommended.

I recently moved from Toronto to Vancouver and was in desperate need for a hair cut and happened to walk by Oso, looked them up and decided to give a try (after comparing reviews, prices, IG pages, I am very particular). I met Joanne who is absolutely amazing and super kind. She educated me on how to take care of my long thick hair, and gave me such a good hair cut. I came back 2 months later to get the balayage of my dreams. It was exactly the blonde brightness I wanted. Joanne listens, cares and I am so thankful I found a hair stylist I can trust. He explained what he thought was best for my face shape and style without any hard sales. I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Zone Hair Gallery since 2011. Mila is my stylist and she is a true professional and extremely talented at designing the perfect haircut for you. I first found out about her when a co-worker showed up at a staff meeting completely transformed. Her hair-cut was perfectly suited for her and her hair was shiny & alive. She told me about Mila's work and her exact words were "she took care of every single hair on my head to perfection." This correctly describes the service I receive and have been receiving ever since. I decided to check it out because I was frustrated on finding a stylist that I like and wanted to keep. Every time I had found a good one they quit or moved to another salon. The products they use are good for your hair. Your hair doesn't get dried out or damaged. The atmosphere is wonderful with soft background music playing and you are offered your choice of coffee or tea. There are loads of modern & current fashion magazines to look at while you wait for your hair colour to finish, etc. Although I have only experience one stylist, over the years have been going there I have seen the results of the other stylists who work there and they are also excellent. Becca at OSO was amazing for my hair color and cut. I went to her for the first time and she was so attentive and got right away what the look was that I was looking for. Even though I didn't quite know how to explain or choose colors to achieve what I was looking for she was able to figure it out right away and her suggestions were spot on. She could not stop talking about her positive experience. She was educated about haircare, toner process and the perfect hair color for her skin tone. I don't know as much about colored hair but I know that Becca and Oso Salon really took care of her and she is really happy flipping her hair and taking a lot of pictures. I purchased a groupon for balayage for $250 after reading the good reviews and that was a big mistake. The stylist was exactly 1 hour late, then when he finally saw me he said there will be an extra $100 charge because the $250 is only for Bob cut short hair and it will take 6 hours. The woman on the phone informed me that I had extra long hair but the maximum charge could be $70 and she said it wouldn't even be that much because I have thin hair, not thick hair. He said that the woman on the phone was just confused. Also, if my appointment is going to take 6 hours, I don't want to spend an extra hour waiting for the stylist. There is no discount with the Groupon, its just a lure to get you into their salon and end up paying full price of over $400. Also, the salon looked dingy and sub par to other salons in the area. I thankfully got a refund from Groupon. Response to owner: You wrote a meaningless response when in reality you did absolutely NOTHING to try to resolve the issue and waste more than 1 hour of my time of traveling to your salon and waiting around for a novice stylist who had no idea what he was doing. It never takes 6 hours to do what I was requesting and I was SPECIFICALLY quoted maximum extra $70 on the phone. If she said, it may actually be more than that, I would have never even bothered coming. I watched your stylist blow dry the client before me for an hour and trust me it's obvious he was a novice. Why should I pay more money because your stylist is slow due to lack of skills especially when you allready wasted 1 hour of my time? You would think if you own a business, you would know something about customer service.

I don’t usually ever write reviews even when something is bad I just don’t ever come back again but for this I just had to as this incident made me extremely upset as I was left in tears. So I made an appointment with because milani and I told her I wanted to go to a dark blonde. I even told her I don’t mind coming back and doing it small sessions but she insisted that I can get it done in just one. She not only bleached my hair terribly but my hair was breaking and on top of that when she tried to fix my hair by cutting it and it only made it worse. Oh and it gets worse she basically robbed me and charge $800

Kawal is the best hairdresser I have ever had. She is incredibly skillful and intuitive about what you need/want/will look good on you. I have worked with her for probably 3-4 years now. She is always kind and grounded, relaxed but gets everything done efficiently and professionally . I am always impressed with how insightful she is- truly gifted. And big bonus for me is we seem to have just the right amount of conversation I am ready to engage in :). In the past I have felt like I have to entertain someone working on my hair for so many hours (getting colour/highlights takes time . The salon is clean and tidy and the staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. The products they use are simply the very best. Mila is a colour and cut professional - she's quite a perfectionist and her colour and cut is meticulous - every single time! Believe me - it shows!
