I am incredibly disappointed in my visit to Luxor this time. Their attitude was incredibly hostile when I called to complain about my perm. My hair was curly and was wonderful for the first five or six days, but then just straightened out over the next week. We asked for a redo but they straight out refused, making excuses about outside circumstances. They said they do redos if we call within the first week, but nobody told us that. Before, whenever I came here to do a perm they lasted a couple of months at the very least but this time only two weeks! They just said they did their best, which worries me the most, because if this is their best, then it is absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this store at all, especially for the 300$ perms. They just take the money then when something happens they do absolutely nothing to fix it and blame the customer.

I would like to give zero star if I could. I booked a haircut with a female hair stylist Marine who made a mess. Although the owner agreed to refund me and said sorry after I went back to reason with them, the hair stylist refused to admit what she did. This experience is very unpleasant and my hair style is ruined. I spent around 400 CAD to perm the bottom of my hair 2 months ago in another salon, so I told the hair stylist to keep the length. She said ok. However, she cut about 4cm and almost removed all the curly hair. The length of the left and right side of my hair is not even symmetric. She also cut my bangs without letting me know what it would look like exactly. After the cut, she gave me a blow dry and I asked her why my hair was straight. She just told me my hair would be curly after washing. She also asked me if I wanted a styling and took out a curling iron. Although I said yes, I didn't get it: Why she blew dry my curly hair to straight then tried to style it curly? After I went back to home , I felt worried so I washed my hair and blew dry, it looks worse. Overall, my hair turned out to be completely different from what I was expected. I feel very uncomfortable and sad. She didn't pay attention and made sure that she understood customers' needs before she got started. Will never come back.

I had gone about 6 weeks ago and Kim helped me go from red to blonde, she took her time, she was gentle and understanding. Though I really didn't like the colour, I thought it was just because of how hard it was to remove the red.I credit her for doing such a good job. She spent hours with me and made sure that I was comfortable. Honestly, she is so lovely. I went back yesterday for highlights and to change the yellow gold blonde to something cooler. Unfortunately Kim was unavailable, so I met with someone else. He told me to do highlights and to wait and see if I needed a trim ( I did and at the end he told me to come back for it) So, I trusted him. As one is supposed to do. Not only was he rough taking out the foils (i said ow, loudly, three or four times), he asked me what toner I wanted. I'm not a hairdresser, I don't know. I know what colour I wanted, I showed him photos and expected him to follow through. He gave me options, told me what he thought was best so I agreed. The hair wash was horrifyingly unpleasant. He was rough, dropped my head over and over instead of placing it down on the sink, the massage (if you can call it that) was milliseconds and painful. I even told him that he was hurting my neck and he assumed that it was the towel (it wasn't) Then I sat in front of the mirror and my hair is dark. Very very dark. He said it's darker when it's wet, so again, I waited. After washing and styling, my hair is grey in some spots, green in others and is the most damaged I've ever seen it. The shine and texture is entirely gone. I spent 362$ on hair that literally made me cry three times this morning. There is no way to fix it other than cutting it all off. I am mortified and embarrassed. On top of that, he initially told me that it would be roughly $200.00, and I made sure to ask 3 times. I have photos of how bad it's turned out. I will never be going back.

My hair was medium/long when I came in. I asked for a haircut with someone who's knowledgeable on womens haircut and they said that everybody there had the same level of expertise. I showed the hairstylist a photo of a longbob and said that I wanted to keep the length but make the angle that defines the longbob cut. He seemed nervous and like he wasn't sure of what his was doing and cut my hair straight and very short. He didn’t know what a layered longbob was, even with the photo right in front of him. I felt like crying and wanted to go home after, but another guy who looks like the manager asked me to try to fix my hair. I said okay and he made a couple of layers and the result was a little lest worst than it was before. I absolutely hate my haircut now and I still had to pay $60 dollars for it. Not coming back.

I’m really picky about environments but I’ve found the salon to very modern, bright, stylish and spotless! Having pictures of my previous haircuts to show him, he's always able to match what I've had before. Scheduling is very flexible, and the front desk is always able to let me know when specific stylists are working so I can book or call back later.

Luxor hair salon is a Great Place! Was my first time going there. Friendly staff! Parkade nearby, And they are open until 8pm! And its decent prices my haircut was around $60. Which was amazing. I called at like 6pm they said come in for 6:30. They washed my hair and gave me a head massage! I basically fell asleep in the chair. Then she cut my hair and She did a fantastic job! Just perfect! I got layers, bangs, she even textured and thinned out my ridiculously heavy hair it feels so light and bouncy! I will definitely be going back for future haircuts etc.

I went there 2 weeks ago for a root perm and it was good. The hairstylist recommended me to have layer hair if i want more volume so I decided to go back but they assigned a different hairstylist not the one that was talking to me and i was surprised but considering my previous experience I assumed he was as good as her. I showed him multiple pictures of the hair i wanted and he said the pics were blow out and used curling iron so i have to use them if i want it to look like that. He also said if i want layer with volume i need to cut short (my hair was medium length). I previously had a long bob layered cut at Salon de nuvida and Caleb did a great job keeping same length but giving me the layer and volume i wanted without curling iron or anything, just hair dry. So the issue is the stylist capability and talent here, it’s not that it’s not doable he just couldn’t do it but refused to say so. At first I didn’t want to because i wanted to keep the same length but after he cut and dry it it looked exactly the same with when i came in nothing changed i saw no layer no volume. He kept insisting that i need to cut it shorter if i want volume so i said he can cut it shoulder length. Little did i know it was the worst hair cut in my life. Too short, volume at bottom not top making me look like a papaya and way older than my actual age. People always say i look young for my age but this haircut makes me look like I’m 40 when i’m only 20. At the end of the haircut he asked if im ok, i guess he somewhat sensed my disappointment, but at that point nothing could have been done anymore. I paid $63 for this horrible haircut and came home crying, canceled all my plan for the day because I can’t meet or do anything with this hair. Literally gives me depression. Will never come back again so save yourself some time, money and tears and go somewhere else or dont get the same stylist as i did.

She didn't get exactly what she asked for but it turned out ok. She is going to attempt to touch it up herself. All in all decent experience.

While I was waiting for my appointment, another girl was waiting for her nail appointment. From what I heard, they double booked the nail technitian and the poor girl who was leaving in couple days couldn't get her nails done on time before the trip. She said how she booked the appointment 2 weeks ago and this happend. There was nothing done for her as the staff repeated that it's just can't be done. The manager who booked the appointment wasn't there and had to be called to be explained what happend. Still no resolution. The girl just left. While I was watching this, my appointment was delayed and I was still waiting 15 minutes passed from my session time. The stylist was doing a colour session with another customer and it seemed to me that they somehow booked a colour and my cut at the same time. I understand when you do colours, they do have a bit of time till they wait for the colour to process, but it's way too short of a time to do someone else's haircut. The moment she cut my hair, I knew that she was not as experienced as I expected her to be. The whole session was rushed because she had the colour session going at the same time. She did not wash my hair because it was clean, but even without that, the entire haircut for me ( a girl with long hair) took 15 minutes. 15 minutes. The end result was nothing that I expected. The cut was uneven, the front bang chopped short to the chin, no natural layers that I asked for (She chopped my inner hair saying it was too heavy). At the end she charged me 56 before tax. And I knew something was wrong. I asked her if she took off the shampoo and dry fee. And she pretended that she forgot to take it off. She took off $5 and I am not even sure if that is the right fee. But I know that she knowingly tried to slip in the shampoo fee and wished to pass by. Awful experience. Will not be returning. I expect more professional and skilled hair session for $60 haircut done in 15 minutes.

I visited this place few days ago to do my hair. But, the hair designer who did my hair was inattentive and rude. The price what she talked about before do my hair, and what actually I had to pay were different, so I had to pay more than what I was expected. She was kind of big and tall with short hair. I definently not going back and not recommend it to others too.

I was slightly disappointed. I chose Luxor Hair after seeing many positive reviews on google, but my experience there was below average. I had an appointment at 6 pm. I understand it is the end of the day, everyone is tired, but I was expecting that at least the staff could offer me some water or tea. It was my first time there, I didn't ask for specific stylist. The stylist who cut my hair did not introduce herself nor give effort on facilitate conversation. However, she was talking to other stylist in Korean. I was especially disappointed at the cashier who made zero eye contact.The haircut cost about $55 plus tips which makes it about $60. I am sorry to say this, but I am very confident that I could get the same haircut somewhere else with cheaper price and better service than what I was getting on that day.

I dyed my hair here and it cost 400 dollars with tips. I didn’t bleach my hair and didn’t cut my hair. I just dyed normal brown color has greenish undertone. My hair turned out green at the bottom and brown at the top, And very light brown at the root. Whole hair had uneven color distribution. And my hair felt extremely dry after this. I had a long and thick hair at that time. But I don’t understand how could they charge me so much and did so poorly. I dyed my hair 2 months later and It was my first time doing it. It turned out better than what they did. I don’t recommend this place at all. Ps: Before I booked appointment I asked a staff there that how much it would cost to dye my hair. He said $250 and I thought it was a good price for me. That why I booked an appointment with them.

tried to do a walk-in 3 times but the girl was busy. so i phoned and booked a mani-pedi with shellac and i was in that afternoon. she did the mani part and when finished i said, now the pedicure, and she says oh no, we don't do feet. well, i really did not care about the manicure, it was the pedicure. after all the snow/rain, i could wear my sandals. now, why didn't they let me know to begin with. and how am i going to match the colour on my feet. to top it all off, i am a senior and took a taxi there and back. everytime when i tried to book mani-pedi, why didn't they say they don't do the pedi end of it. no, i will never go back. they all pretend to try and speak english and say it must be a misunderstanding. they act innocent as if they don't know the words manicure/pedicure. what a waSTE OF TIME AND WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY.
