My friend recommended this place to me. My hair before was a total disaster! I had a ombré done at another place for cheeper. He did it all wrong. He left a straight blonde line, dividing my original hair colour and the bleached part of my hair. And it was more of a brighter blonde in the middle of my hair than on the end. Oh also he ran out of dye :/ so I went here to get it fixed. I absolutely love the results. I recommend asking for Maria, she does a really good job. Especially for covering up that mess & ending up with great results. Though it's pretty expensive.. but at least she did an awesome job. ????

(Short version: I wanted the picture I attached, in the end I got unevenly cut hair, they made me bleach blonde - when I told them I didn't want that, then they returned me to my natural dull brown colour a red/ purpule tone all over my hair, which is now - I kid you not, is nearly all gone now, its only been two weeks since I was there. I ended up spending over a hundred dollars more than what was the original price, and they didn't give me a discount or offer anything for what happened...) My friend recommended this place saying it was one of the best she had ever been to. I agreed, that is until they started doing my hair. The service is excellent. They make you feel welcomed and at home, but hair wise in my experience, I left frustrated beyond belief. The photo I'm attaching is what I wanted to get done/ vs what I had after. My hair is a dull brown colour naturally. When I showed the photo to the hairstylist she told me she would "work with my tones" but she could absolutely do the same thing. Any who, everything was going nicely until the end. When they finally dried my hair I saw I was nearly bleach blonde a few inches away from my roots, all the way done my hair. I was stunned and questioned her. Long story short, her and another stylist told me not to worry and they would fix it. All in all, I waited an additional 2-3 hours (my total stay was nearly 6 hours mind you), and then I could feel I was being rushed, with two to three stylist doing my hair at a time. I couldn't blame them, I wanted to leave to, but thats besides the point. I ended up getting my dull brown colour back with a purple/red tone all over my hair. Then on top of that they cut my hair unevenly, and then sold me a shampoo and conditioner (red toner) and told me if I didn't like my hair, I could fix it at home. It has been just over two weeks since I was there, and I'm appalled. I ended up spending over a hundred dollars more than what was the original price, and they didn't give me a discount or offer anything for what happened...

My mom and I have been going to this place for almost 3 years now I regularly get my hair and nails done here. Great customer service! I always get compliments each time I get my nails done as well as hair. Just for the hair I feel i have had this experience a few times that if i dont keep saying what I want things start going the other way but i am mostly always satisfied with everything. I also get my hair done for parties and they do an amazing job with that no doubt.

They go above and beyond BUT their products and services are very expensive. Literally speaking the hair colorists are able to "LIFT" your hair from box-dyed jet black hair to ashy light brown without overly damaging your hair. I'm no longer their client but I would still 100% vouch for them.

I cannot encourage you enough to try this salon. Im someone who finds it really hard to spend money on myself, especially for my hair. I paid less than I was quoted anywhere else for an absolutely STELLAR colour correction and cut after a year of pandemic neglect. The staff was kind and professional and they were constantly performing cleaning procedures in the salon throughout my appointment. Incredibly impressed and thankful. Thank you ladies! ❤

The stylist who cut my daughter’s hair did a great job, however I was not pleased with my haircut. I had requested for more layers to be cut into my hair and the stylist didn’t do much to fix it and continued to cut the layers in the same manner. There were no visible changes after I requested that she fix it so I left feeling upset. I will not be returning to this salon.

Been here only once- they were able to accommodate me last-minute , which was so helpful! While the receptionist and even the stylist support were really helpful, my stylist (lily, i believe) was...meh. She was really enjoying the conversation with the man she was styling before me, but there was an awkward silence (she attempted conversation a couple times but would move on while I was in the middle of my answer) while she rushed through my unusually quick haircut. This would have been fine (albeit odd), but unfortunately the haircut was just ok. Would go again, but to a different stylist. Ladies cuts can be pricey, but they often make up for it by feeling pampered, not rushed out!

The entire team at Lift are extremely talented and kind! I’ve been going to Sandra for years for my shellac & gel nails and am very particular but she never disappoints! She is meticulous with my nail shape, colour and design delivering quality work every single time. She is dedicated to her craft and takes pride in her work. I get so many compliments on her nail art and they last me up to 6 weeks! Joyce is also great for nails and very attentive. Carianne is an amazing hairstylist for balayage, cuts and colour and a pleasure to be around. She makes sure my blunt cuts are perfect to a tee and listens to her clients to ensure they are satisfied with the end result. She is quick but precise and her experience and professionalism are evident through her work. the overall atmosphere of the salon is upbeat yet relaxing. The entire team (including the sweetest salon manager Liz) makes you feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish. Bottom line- if you want the best nails and hair of your life, this is where you want to be!

Came in here for a balayage colouring, that my bf wanted to surprised me for my birthday gift. Walk in had no clue what to do with my hair. Never dye my hair before, so was very nervous. The hair stylish was very understanding and walk me through the process, how to maintain the colour, and lastly what shade was good for a first timer. My time there was a very relaxing from the start to finished. All the staff at Lift was very outgoing and welcoming. Left the store, loving my new hair look! Would definitely come back here again. And would totally recommend my friends and family here!

I went in for a color, and was very specific about the color I wanted, and how I wanted to avoid certain shades. Stylist was very confident so I didn’t second guess her. After a couple of washes, my hair turned into the shade I specifically informed her I did not want. Went in for a correction, and the same thing happened after a few washes. Extremely dissatisfied with their technique, service and professionalism. Would not recommend them for coloring hair to anyone.

Love my nails! I got my shellac mani and pedi 10 days ago, but it looks like I just got them done a day or 2 ago (it's that nice!!). Sirkka was awesome and so friendly. She really listened and understood what I wanted...square shape with light rounded edges with thin layer of polish close to the cuticles. She delivered! The staff at lift are friendly and professional and really make you feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.

I've been getting my nails done by Sandra for over 3 years and she is amazing! Not only is she an incredibly talented technician (she is able to execute any design you want - no matter how elaborate!), but she is also very meticulous with her work. My nails have never looked so good and I am constantly receiving compliments on them! She always takes steps to maintaining a professional, comfortable environment for her clients with a strong emphasis on cleanliness. Highly recommend!

I thought I'd treat myself and visit the salon for my birthday instead of doing my own hair like I usually do. I came in for a colour correction and left with fried hair. They left bleach on my hair for FIVE hours straight and told me to go home and do hair treatments. Their incorrect technique, lack of knowledge about products and lack of respect for clients hair was absolutely shocking. I wish I stayed home and spent $20 on box bleach and gotten the same result in half the time instead of wasting a whole day and ten times the money only to ruin my weekend.

Would have been 5 stars if not for the stressful situation. I had a bad cut from one of the stylists and had to come back in later to have it fixed. The young woman who fixed my hair was very kind and stayed late to help me free of charge. Thank you so much for that, you are amazing! My hair looks fantastic now. Great atmosphere, and the staff have wonderful personalities... but I'm not sure I'll be going back.

My bf and I will make the trip from Richmond and will continue to go wherever she goes - back from when she was at Holdom to her current place now. Great place. Came in and there was a mix up with my appointment. I guess they hadn't seen my confirmation email. Didn't matter, they took me in without a hitch, pampered me, spent hours lightening, colouring, and then cutting my hair. I'm always afraid of new places. My hair is curly and thick and I've had a lot of bad hair cuts. But they lived up to their reviews and their names. Good colour, good shape, really listened to what I wanted and delivered.
