I had a hair smoothing treatment with Sally last November and couldn't be happier! I have tight curls that are prone to frizz, and this treatment has left my hair feeling super soft, smooth, and healthy and also way more manageable and predictable. My curls have softened to about 1/3 of what they were, so I can dry it naturally for a soft wave. It also used to take quite a bit of work with the blowdryer and round brush to smooth out the curls before straightening, but now there is no need for all that work up front and getting it pin straight is very quick and easy. Best part is that it last for DAYS. When Sally does my blow-out I can go 5-7 days without a wash. I've had keratin treatments in the past but would notice my hair getting greasy after a few days which defeats the purpose of making it quicker to style imo, so I definitely like this product better. 6 months after the treatment it still feels soft and smooth. The curls are getting a bit stronger over time and I have curly regrowth coming in, so I'll be going back next month for another treatment to keep it up. Sally is also a great stylist, very thorough and very obviously puts a lot of effort into making sure you leave feeling like a million bucks. Her energy is always warm and welcoming too, so catch-ups in the chair are light and fun. I highly recommend Sally and her smoothing treatment.

My boyfriend got me a gift certificate for this salon..... for which he gets "the best boyfriend ever" award. This is an incredible salon. I have curly hair which has only been dyed once in my life. I'm always worried about bleach destroying the curls. Sally did a balayage on me which not only kept my curls healthy, but also looks amazing. I stumbled on this cute little gem while trying to find a reasonable studio to just trim off my dead ends. I had very little expectations but Sally surpassed all of them! She gave me a fabulous wash, a relaxing head massage, and such a gorgeous haircut. She went above and beyond styling my hair and even took a few photos for me. My hair feels light and healthy again. Not only was I super happy with my haircut, she was just really kind and happy from the get go. I came to Sally and trusted her to cut my incredibly long and thick hair that I hadn’t done much to for years. I’ve always had it long, and was scared to do a chop. My hair needed to be refreshed, so I came to Sally with some ideas of what to do. Immediately when I sat in the chair, she knew exactly what would be best for my hair type and face shape. Not only is Sally fantastic as a hairstylist that understood what I wanted with my hair immediately and made it look gorgeous, but the place is really well priced (specially their Monday special! $45 for deep conditioning, wash, cut, and hairstyle!) their COVID management is ideal - you are the only one in the salon at a time! I cannot recommend it enough. Definitely sticking to Sally for now on!

She now knows me so well that I just let her decide what to do and then I watch the magic happen! My hair has gone from black to blonde without any dryness, damage or scalp irritation. She uses beautiful organic products and always gives me tips on how to style and manage my hair. I have short, thick, coarse hair which can be difficult to cut but Sally's cutting skills are phenomenal....my hair always sits well which means less maintenance in the mornings! I’ve been wanting a haircut for ages now because my hair has gotten so long to the point where I actually sit on it. However, I have always just put it aside because the last person who cut my hair cut it too short and I didn’t really want to trust anybody touching my hair after that. I finally got the courage to do it and was looking through Groupon for a deal. I saw that they had a great deal for $31 for haircut, deep conditioning, blow dry and style. I also saw the many great reviews this salon had and so I went for it. There was a slight a hiccup with my booking due to miscommunication and when I called to confirm, Sally said that she had another client at that time and wanted to rebook --- I asked her if there was any way she could do my hair at the appointed time because I had an event on that day. Luckily, Sally said yes and off I went. Sally is an amazing person and stylist. She made me feel so comfortable from the get- go and along the way, she never failed to ask how I wanted to cut and style my hair. When I explained to her how I wanted it, it’s like she knew what I was talking about. She did it just the way I liked it. I could tell that she’s really experienced. I got a lot of compliments on my hair too! One thing is for sure, Sally earned a new client that day. Will def be coming back!

I also picked this place because it is close to work. I accidentally made the booking three times because of scheduling conflict on my part. The phone number listed does not work, so i just showed up to one of the time slots. They were completely cool with it. So i got a hair treatment, haircut and blow-out. Have you ever had 2 people blow-dry your hair at the same time? That was amusing. Sally and her staff were super friendly, welcoming and caring.

Had haircut with Maryam. Absolutely the worst experience I ever had. During hair wash, water kept getting into my ears. She said to me “why are you so sensitive to water. Just water” so I just let water get inside my ear canals.. she didn’t do much to change the situation.. When I asked she if she put heat protection she said “ you didn’t notice because you talk too much”. The haircut turned out very bad. She didn’t dry hair first. Instead she styling the hair directly when hair was wet. Very very very unpleasant experience. Would not recommend to anyone!

Sally is wonderful! This is only my 2nd visit but it certainly will not be my last! My first visit, i let her decide my cut ( it is my way of testing a stylist) and she gave me layers! I was surprised as a few other stylists i have tried said layers are a no no for me. I LOVE my cut! I wear my hair down more as opposed to always putting it in a bun/ponytail. I was looking for a reasonably-priced cut at a salon near my office and took advantage of the Monday deal at Bold Hair Design. Sally was AWESOME!! I have long, curly hair and the wrong cut look horrible. I brought pics, etc, but Sally took one look and knew just what was needed. I love the cut - the shape and layers she put in were perfect. And she gave me an awesome blow-out...which is a lot of work on curly hair :) Sally was friendly and she is super-skilled...it's nice to have a professional you can trust and I will definitely be a return customer!

I did not realize that my hair could look so nice and ashy/cool-toned, especially in one single session!! Sally and Lucy seriously know their stuff when it comes to lightening! I was a bit disappointed with mix up of timing, the girl who changed my time of appointment did not communicate or changed it .
