Could not be happier with how my first visit to Urban Vanity went today! I have long been searching for a stylist since having moved to the Brantford area and was having no luck finding someone I could trust to do a good job. Previous attempts had left me with fried hair or cuts that I didn't ask for. I was starting to get very discouraged, thinking that I would never find someone. I had been with my previous stylist for 18 years so I'm not one that likes to jump around and I was tired of having to wear baseball hats and pony tails to hide the damage other stylists had done. Today however was an entirely different experience!! :) Urban Vanity has a fantastic atmosphere, warm friendly staff and stylists who know what they are doing. I walked in today with a mess for them to try and fix and left with nothing short of great hair! So happy I took a chance and tried Urban Vanity. Thanks Lori!!

First off, the feel and look of the salon is bright and airy with an added twist of modern flair. Lori and the team are extremely welcoming and well versed in the latest trends when it comes to the services they offer. I have been to so many hair stylists over the last 10 years and have always been apprehensive to switch. BOY AM I GLAD I DID! Lori has made me a loyal client. Her techniques are so good, for the first time in 10 years my hair turned out exactly the way the picture I showed for reference looked. I came in with an absolute hair crisis; a color correction to say the least! Lori is extremely knowledgeable and took very careful and precise (multiple) steps to achieve the look I wanted. She took the utmost care with my very fragile, damaged hair and used very gentle, non damaging products. I can’t thank Lori and her salon enough! I now have my confidence back ❤️❤️

This is my first time writing a review. Our experience was so bad I just had to share it. First and foremost, both my mom and I despise our haircuts...and we've been to a lot of new salons before. Nothing compares to this one. Our cuts were done by Sharon and Fal. Nothing flows, we look like mushrooms!!! Or, more realistically, dolls that have been experimented on by a child with scissors. Second, COVID-19? What's that? Nothing was cleaned, no hands were washed, clients were not one chair apart. I think the best part was that my stylist came in sick. COVID-19 has skyrocketed my anxiety so to hear that (and the fact she was out dining the night before), I was lucky to get out of there in one piece. I just really wish I didn't spend over $100 for both a terrible experience and a terrible cut. Sorry.

I have never had anyone show the level of care and attention to my hair that she did. For the first time in a long time I felt beautiful! Do yourself a favour and come see these girls! My last salon had made me wary of getting my hair done professionally that I've been cutting and dying my own hair for the past 2 years. My hair was a mess and blotchy from my last dye and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to fix it. Lori at Urban Vanity has taken my worries and erased them. She did such an amazing job. Urban Vanity is not only styled super cool and chic from the minute you walk in, but Lori and the other girls working there really know their stuff. I brought in a picture for a haircut and Lori right away knew exactly how to achieve the look I was after, and I loooove ????. Came back for a lash lift and tint from Sara, and it was a awesome job and super happy with the results. Can’t recommend this salon more! (The Doterra essential oil scalp massage during shampooing...ah-mazing.)

Came here on a whim hoping to even out a very wonky hair cut from a pricey salon in Toronto. Lorie was so lovely and understood exactly what I wanted, asking questions and checking in with me to make sure the cut was right. From the aromatherapy scalp massage to the careful styling, I felt like she was really taking her time and not rushing through as is so often the case. Best haircut I've had in a long time for a very reasonable price. Thank you Lorie - I'll be back! :)

Went in for an eyebrow waxing when my normal salon couldn't fit me in. Let's just say my old salon is just that! OLD NEWS! I definitely will be back to Urban Vanity. The salon is gorgeous, not to mention spotless and the ladies were all friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

I used their new online booking system since everybody's phones are bogged down and busy, made an appointment for 11:30 this morning for a cut and drove half an hour into Brantford for this appointment only to find out that the online booking sometimes "glitches" and my appointment wasn't in the system. Very disappointing. Don't offer online booking if the system doesn't actually work. Instead of offering an appointment for the next day (which wasn't in my schedule) an appointment then and there would have been the appropriate offer.
