I went to Sophie’s last Saturday for permanent hair straightening. It was my first time in that salon and noticed how clean and sanitized the place was. Sophie was so nice and professional, as well as her assistants who were very nice, thoughtful and know how to handle customers well. Sophie personally attended to me on time as booked and worked on me really well, attending to what needs to be done on my hair even when customers started coming in. She always asks if I am okay and feel comfortable during the process. When it was done, I had a great feeling cause I see the shining straight hair I now have. After 3 days, I washed my hair and really felt so good especially when my colleagues started to compliment me with my hair. I would recommend her to my family and network of friends. I used to go downtown, only to find out that Sophie is just in my neighborhood. Now, I feel like 10 years younger. Thanks to Sophie and her team for doing a great job. I went to this salon looking at all the reviews but really disappointed.I am not sure about her other services but I got a haircut done and actually she ruined my hair completely.She chopped off my entire length in a total unprofessional manner. Then she started cutting my hair in the name of layers.How can you shop off 8 inches of my hair length without confirming with a back mirror and then start cutting in a wierd form telling its layers.THE WAY SHE WAS RANDOMLY PICKING AND CUTTING WAS SCARY My hair started looking like a kids hair after her so called layers. I can very confidently say comparing to other professional salons I have been that She had absolutely no clue what she was doing. Not sure where she is getting all these reviews from. BE CAUTIOUS ,I dont think she is a professional Hairstylist. She might just be cutting straight one length cut etc but certainly not a professional cutter. I totally regret me going to her everytime I am looking at my hair, which I have now tied in a small pony to hide them till they grow back.It was 2 years growth which she cut off. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I wish I could give her zero star if I had the option. Please don't claim to be a hairstylist if you are not. I am all the more disappointed at your reply.That questions your professionalism very openly. Please learn to take criticism postitively.You completely ruined my haircut.I am sure you are not a valid hairstylist.But you can definitely learn the skills and be in the market.I don't see anything wrong with that. You have to understand that most of the customers have tried other places too ,before they try you so they can differentiate between you and other confirmed professional hairstylists. That exactly applies to my case.Its been almost 4 weeks now and I am still trying to hide my hair. The way you were cutting my hair randomly , picking from anywhere and cutting ,I doubted that while at your so called salon but waited till the finished look . I regret that I did and should have stopped you.
