I have thick long curly hair, which I got cut into layers and thinned out. It now frames my face, is light, and I've received many compliments on it. He also ensures that all the staff deliver quality service and I would now trust any of them . Amanda took the time to teach me how to use Redken styling products to style my curls gently, and answered my many questions! Would defintely recommend this salon.

House of Mann Hair Saloon is a very good place to cut your hair or do anything related to your hair, I found this place accidentally and found very good. All the stylist are good special the master stylist, he knows everything about hair design. I was fed up with my hair cutting from other hair saloons, I've tried so many but I was not satisfied eventually I found this and I am.very happy from the job of House of Mann, definitely recommend try it once you will love it and definitely come back.

I loved my experience at the shop. I got my hair cut, style and highlights done by Aga. She was excellent. She worked hard for 3 hrs to give me exactly what I wanted. She made sure I was happy before I left the shop. I was offered a drink and there was a nice selection of new magazines at the shop to read to fill the time I was there. I have never had a worst experience anywere in my life, If I could give this review with negative stars I would. I had to take the cape off myself and leave before the damage was beyond repair. The stylist had absolutly no idea what they were doing and was trying to use trimmers for the job when it clearly required scissors. I told the stylist to "stop" and the told them "no". Their reply was to tell me to wait and put their hand on my shoulder, I had to stand up and take the cape off of myself. I left the salon looking like a half shaved mess with the only fix being a baseball hat. Again, this was the worst hairdressing experience of my life and I would never recommend this place to anyone. #assultedatthehouseofmann

It’s been over years since I went for a haircut. At first when they told me about the pricing I was very shocked as it wasn’t expensive compared to stories I’ve heard from people. I believe it was between the range of $45 and $90 just call and confirm. I called and booked an appointment and got it right away but with Covid it is a bit difficult to get one immediately. They did a great job since I walked in, the greeting, smiles and cheerfulness of all the team members. Not to mention they hype up their team members for the work they do and the constant compliments given to clients. The place was very clean and And smelled amazing. I almost fell asleep while she chopped off my long hair. It was a very pleasant experience here and will definitely come back.. Thank you to the wonderful team!! My hair looks amazing!

Went there for the first time. Sarah was the barber . Explained everything in detail to her even before I sit on the chair. Gave her $5 tip but still the hair was raped. Been 8 weeks now and I'm still trying to grow it back the way it was before I go there. She tried faking it with gel telling me it would take a day or 2 to settle down which was bullshit.

This was my very first time going to a professional hair salon and I was very nervous but everyone here is so sweet and treat you like you are a part of one big family, even the other clients getting their hair done were in a great mood and welcoming to everyone. I had the pleasure of having Ciara as my hair stylist and WOW she has magic in those fingertips. She achieved the exact hair colour and hair style I showed her in the reference pictures and still made little adjustments to make sure the end result would be complimentary to me. I loved that she talked me through each step of the process so I knew exactly what was happening at every moment which really eased my nervousness. ALSO! My hair looks and feels so much healthier now. Overall, I can't urge you to give this place a try enough! The owner did a wonderful job creating such a loving community of people who are not only talented at their job but radiate love for their job. Thank you everyone!

I'm always worried about going to new salons.. However, this was by far the best experience I've had. It's a cozy place with great staff - everyone is very welcoming. They serve coffee, espresso and water which is a plus! I had to rebook a couple of times and the team was super understanding and I was able to easily book with the stylist I wanted. For my hair appointment I got long layers and bangs from a stylist named Sam. He is super friendly and a great at what he does. He really took his time with my hair and made sure I like it! It's probably one of the best haircuts I've gotten in awhile! Thanks again Sam. I'll for sure be back soon! ????

My Wife went through a 7 hour ordeal (August 25) with them. My Wife booked an appointment for a Balyage (because of the raving reviews) and she was assigned a Junior Stylist - Tara. The stylist looked at the pictures and confirmed that this will be achieved and got started. Soon after she realised that because my Wife already had coloured hair, the Color for Balyage would not be accomplished. She did a second application and made the hair Color look Caramel (which was no where close). My Wife was crying as she looked at the horrible condition of her hair due to lack of experience, expertise and empathy by the Stylist. The manager Troy had her redo the Color to Black and we left. That day we were promised that they will do anything to have her get to the Color she wanted to have considering the issues of that day and he will personally make sure that a Senior Stylist was assigned. He also assured there will be no charges and that we should expect a call on Tuesday(which obviously did not happen). Today we called the salon and spoke to Manny who said that he was not sure what was promised but knew the case because we got the Color back to black, there is no way he was going to do this for free (even though it was stated by the Manager that day). He said that it was not only my Wife but his employee as well who sat through with her. I don’t think he understood that it was not of our fault that their employee had to sit through as they were the one’s who got us in this situation in the first place. He also accepted that ideally this should have been done by a Senior Stylist and consultation first. And that this would take at least 3-4 runs to achieve. Did your employee who booked the appointment not know this? Did the Junior Stylist not know how to handle such a situation? And not take up Balyage without consultation? How do you see yourself if you were in this situation? Or perhaps if your loved one was in this situation? You should be more careful of who you assign for such tasks and make your employees understand that they should step back when they don’t know how things work. It is of no fault of a customer that they should go through this ordeal and ultimately end up crying for your employees fault. You obviously have customers lined up and probably will not even pay a hoot to this review. But I will be taking this matter further. I have connected with a few other people who have had similar experiences with House of Mann. Response to your Response: Typically if this service could not have been completed by a Junior Stylist (as now agreed by you and Manny), why was one assigned to get the hair done. My wife asked for a Balyage and if your employee had the understanding, she would have not started the work. If you stylist stayed late, it was not of our fault. If she had known that she could not get the desired results or had consulted before beginning the job (she said, lets get started as soon as she saw the pictures), everyone would have been saved from this ordeal. When I met you at the Salon at 5.30pm, you did mention that you will do anything to get a Senior Sytlist assigned and get the hair as it needs to be. Sorry, what did you think we were taking from this conversation? That we need to come back and pay you? It is a common courtesy that you compensate for this lack of knowledge and empathy on the part of your Junior Sytlist (as it directly reflects on your Salon)

Reviews were fantastic so I called them up and made an appt, they accepted me the same day within a few hours (it was Friday). I had my appointment with Adna (spelling may be wrong, sorry if it is) and my experience was wonderful. My new go to place for haircut. Got a haircut in November 2021. I decided to change my barber of 4 years and googled places near me, this one showed up with good reviews so decided to try it and i was not disappointed at all. Lucy was my stylist and I forgot his name, but he is the most tenured stylist there who was making sure i got what i needed and the end result was fabulous. I definitely will be going here for all my haircuts! I recommend this place, very professional and friendly staff

I went there for a haircut this Wednesday, with Manny. The staff are all super friendly and courteous. The service is indeed fabulous. However upon sitting in Manny's chair, I very specifically said that I do not want my length shortened. I had beautiful long hair which was simply out of style, and I wanted to keep it long. My hair almost touched my waist. Manny acknowledged that and said he will only take a couple of inches off the back and I said , please take as little as possible. However I came out with my overall length shortened by no fewer than 4-5 inches and my hair reaching just midnof my shoulder blades. Manny called it styled and sexy and etc and yes it is indeed so. It’s a beautiful cut and it looks nice. But it’s not what I wanted. When I said as much , he said, come back in 6 months when your hair grows and I’ll give you the same style in long hair !! The gall! Why couldn’t he simply respect my wish and give me the same style in long hair now ???? In my culture, long hair is valued. I have had haircuts before that made me feel sexy and beautiful , gave my hair movement and volume while maintaining my length. Sadly, my go to hair cutter moved away. I am baffled that a hairdresser with 35 years of experience did not know how to do that and instead destroyed my length and suggested I come back in 6 months to have another cut by him if I don’t like my current hair cut !

Really love my experience with House of Mann. I went with Kayla due to the great reviews on here and I am so glad I did. I didn’t have to wait for a very long time maybe 5-10 minutes so she could clean up her station so the timing between appointments is right on. Kayla is super friendly, and doesn’t mind giving some tips and tricks when she found out that I was bleaching my hair on my own. I had a really bad experience with a salon once and I explained this to Kayla and she made sure to explained to me every step she was doing with my hair and why she was doing it. She made sure to make small conversations here and there which is always nice. She will give you her honest opinion as to what will look good and what won’t. She gave me exactly what I was asking for. I think the only thing that kind of bugged me was when I called and it went straight to voicemail saying they were closed. I wasn’t expecting that and it kind of made me panic as this was the only day I could get my hair done. But it was straightened out pretty quickly. The price is higher (I paid $62 with $5 tip for a junior stylist - the lady on the phone told me $40 plus tax) than what I am used to but totally worth it compared to the last time I went to an expensive salon. Lots of parking at the back (I went on a Tuesday so that might be why) and the atmosphere of the place is not bad! Love the interior as well. Try Kayla! You won’t regret her!

I have been going to House of Mann for at least 15 years. Their customer service is always great and I find I don’t have to book that far in advance. Stylists will work together if they are trying to formulate a complicated colour for your hair and I think that’s a really smart way to operate.

I have recently moved to Brampton, so to find a hair stylist I googled and found House of Mann, it really had great reviews and rating, so I decided to book an appointment for 1st July. I have called to get an appointment with Junior/Intermediate stylist and they told me that it will charge around $100. But I had to change my appointment, so took another appointment for 27th June, they said we don’t have junior/intermediate stylist available so they booked me with Senior stylist and charges will be $140, I was okay with it. When I reached there on 27th June, I saw hygiene was maintained, they were wiping the chairs after each customer left, certain number of people were allowed in a room and that was really good that they were maintaining social distancing. Now come feedback for actual services, though I was booked with Senior stylist I was assigned a junior stylist (apparently someone did mention it to me by mistake), I thought they will charge me for junior but no they did not they charged me $140 (approx) which was for senior stylist. That was really unfair. Also, I was there for my root touchup and hair cut but hair cut was okay but root touchup was not good because I can still see grey hair. I am giving 1star because of all above points. Thought to share my experience with all the new bees who are looking to change their salon or recently moved. Thanks

Disaster!! Ashley did my haircut and I asked for Layers and what I got is one length bunch of front hair and rest is one length hair left at the back. It is total disaster. Apart of the haircut she did so much thinning at the length and now my scalp hair looks big compared to the hair at the length. Anazing! I've passed by this place so many times and never thought of going in and I'm not one for getting hair cuts but I'm so so glad I did! I looked for salons online and this place had so many great reviews and now I know why. I booked online late night and they got back to me just a few hours later! I showed up and the man at the reception greeted me so kindly and offered me a drink. Manny, the man who would be doing my hair greeted me and looked at my hair and knew exactly what I needed and wanted to do with it! The lady who washed my hair was sweet and gentle she asked me how I was feeling and about the water temperature and the scalp massage she gave me, both of which were great. From the moment I sat down, Manny explained to me the process and kept me comfortable, especially as someone who doesn't get her hair cut regularly. You could tell that everyone who walked in there was happy and loved the salon and the people. It was like a family. Normally I find salons very impersonal and pretentious. Not this place! Even the lady who blow dryer my hair was so sweet! I'm so happy I found this place and I loved my cut, my hair was exactly what I wanted it to be! Will definitely be going back and have already told my sister and mom to go there for their next cut. If you're looking for a great place to get a great quality cut and experience this is the place to go!

My hairdresser, Mandie, was very kind and knew exactly what to do with my hair. I got my hair dyed ombre red, which I love with all me heart. I had the last appointment and really long hair but regardless they were extremely kind and patient throughout my appointment. Hello My haircut today was amazing! However.. there were few major concerns so PlEASE NOTE: the person didnt seem to clean me up after the haircut my hair was all over the place and didnt mention that they cant clean hair until I mentioned it due to sanitizing reasons that was not professional. I come home with hair everywhere on my back and in my shirt. Also when I booked my appointment I was told my haircut would be max up to 41.99 on the phone. Then when I came to pay for my haircut they charged me 45.99... I mentioned it and the owner says very rudely okay if it makes a difference you can have your 4 dollars back..not professional and dont know if I will be coming back for that reason. During covid times 4 dollars does make a difference and as a owner he should have empathy.. Kayla is great!

I am not a picky person when it comes to going to hair salons. I found this by chance as I was looking at reviews and I have to say this was the most positive experience I have ever had at a hair salon. I hadn't cut my hair in over a year and a half and wanted to go really short. Manny gave me really good advice on what would look best on me and showed me what he was going to do with my hair and I left happier than I thought was possible! Everybody was professional and i totally recommend a visit for a haircut. All the employees love to communicate with the costumers and everyone seems to like that. They even took photos of my new hair style. They also provide you tea, chocolate and many more, if you need to, while you are waiting. Great service and on time! I've always hated getting my haircut because whoever has cut my hair in the past never listened to what I wanted. They have always cut it shorter than what I wanted. However, this place is really nice. I would highly recommend going here because the staff is super friendly and accomadating. I didn't know you had to make an appointment yet they still cut my hair and didn't make me wait long. In particular, James is a really nice hair dresser. He listened to what I wanted first and was very patient with my stubborn hair. He gave me his professional advice during our small hair consultation and was very sweet and friendly. WORST HAIR CUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. AVOID THIS "Master" at all cost. Requested a trim. Manny suggested I frame my face with some layers... which I regrettably agreed too. He didn't mention that he would give me the long hair version of a mullet.... my hair was long down to my lower back which he promised he would keep my length... 1/4 of my hair is long and the other 3/4 is a mess full of layers. I can not believe this cost me 85$ for a "SEXY" HAIR CUT WHICH I NEVER REQUESTED.I will never be back. Most upsetting hair cut I have ever received in my life. Usually feel happy and fresh when leaving a salon but I honestly was devastated. May I suggest listening to your clients and not taking it upon yourself to giving them a "NEW LOOK" that is quite frankly terrible...

Based on two of coworkers said about this place I booked for touch up base, highlights and cut. This is my first time here, normally I paided 150.00 - 170.00 else where, this place cost me 355.00 total. They added other services that I was not aware of and of course it costed extra. I was shocked, and also they had me there from 4:30 pm until closing 9:00 pm (4 1/2 hrs). Ashley who was attending to me was nice and even my hair was nice, but had I known it would cost 355.00 and be stuck there for 4 1/2 hrs. I would not have come. So much for first impressions I will not go again.

Manny really explained my cut every step of the way, he listened to me, but offered his own suggestions based on his many years of experience. The best part was the atmosphere...Manny was so positive and upbeat and the staff worked together and really seemed happy to be there... Found House Of Mann through Google based on reviews. Basically what has happened was that I has bought some highlights to color my hair at home. Don't know if I got a bad batch or what but the color didn't transfer to my hair. I was left with extremely blotchy and uneven "highlights". Fast forward to House of Mann. I has Kira as my stylist. She put her time and patience in fixing the mess that was called my hair. From taking the color out....to putting it back in....to re-highlighting, Kira took her time with what she was doing. Highly recommend this place for anyone. The staff is very friendly and hospitable; making sure that everyone is comfortable at the salon.

The staff here is super nice and know what they’re doing when it comes to hair. The downfall of this place is their cleanliness. I got my hair cut here this week and I was not impressed. There were no sanitizing of the chairs in between clients. Non of the stylists even bothered to wash their hands in between clients. Their hair brushes were filled with previous clients hairs and they were not cleaning or sanitizing any of their equipments. This was my first time going to the salon and I chose it because it has such a high rating and amazing reviews. To see the uncleanliness of this was a bit shocking for me. I think sanitization should be priority specially in a pandemic. The owner needs to implement more cleaning protocols to keep their customers and their staff safe.

Even an amateur hairstylist knows that you cannot cut wet hair to the desired length because the hair will become shorter when it dries. Unfortunately, the individual who cut my hair did not know this simply rule, which resulted in an unfixable situation and a hairstyle which I have to live with until another 5-6 months when my hair grow out. I had my first hair cut at the House of Mann and from my experience, I would like to provide the following two very important feedback to the Manager/Owner of this establishment: 1. When a client comes into your salon with a picture of a desired cut, please advise your hairstylists to not say that they can do the cut when they do not have the required skills to do it. 2. It would greatly help to have a voluntary option where your clients can send you (the owner/manager) a picture of the hair cut they requested/agreed upon and the actual cut your stylists gave them. That way, you can not only the see the performance of your staff but also see factual evidence of how your hairstylist has irrevocably messed up your client’s hair. Or better yet, be available to do spot checks in-person after a job, which requires a high level of cutting skills, is done. This will not only help you to assess the performance of your staff but also make your establishment a place where current and future clients will love to return without hesitation. That said, I understand that the skills of one hairstylist does not reflect that of all hairstylists at your establishment as everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses but unfortunately due to my experience I am very afraid of returning to your establishment. Please take the required steps to vet/assess the cutting skill levels of your hairstylists and clearly demonstrate to your clients that their satisfaction is indeed your priority. UPDATE after 2 days of posting above review: To: Troy (Manager) - Right off the bat you understood my situation and offered a full refund for the services. Thank you for responding quickly and showing empathy. Excellent job on trying to make this right! That is much appreciated. To Manny (Owner): Thanks for meeting me and a point scored for making an effort to work out a solution. I understand that this is a rare occurrence in an "almost 40 year old" establishment. No place is perfect. But I do believe in giving people an opportunity to learn and grow. Please take note that the bottom line and main take-away from this case is ALWAYS assign complex cuts/jobs to senior, skilled and highly experienced/knowledgeable stylists so that the job can be done right the first time and situations like this can be avoided.

Had a hair cut with Manny today (June 8 / 2019). This was my first time at this salon. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They gave me a purple shampoo for my bleached hair, that was very brassy. I couldn't believe the difference it made, compared to using Shimmer Lights, which I have at home. I think I'm going to search for a better quality purple shampoo. They even took pics of my new hair style, which I hope they're going to post on yelp and or google. ???? I have wavy hair and a few cowlicks, one being in the middle of my forehead, which other stylists haven't been able to deal with properly. I also have fine hair but a lot of it. As for my hair he said I had 'enough for a small village', it's fine hair but there's a lot of it. At least he's honest. I gave him a picture to work from and he did a good job at replicating it. I'm going to this place for a year now and every time I get perfect haircut no matter who does it. Been struggling to find a good place for haircut since I come to Canada and this guys solve my problem.

I went to another salon who fried my hair to the roots .I was not sure my hair would be fixable .I was ready to brush cut my hair .I found Hom on Facebook and their work was amazing .Amanda replied to me asap and Manny Gave me a cut where it looked like I had more hair .they energy in Hom is amazing .your more like family then a client .I highly recommend Hom its the best .and let me say I've been butchered by a few places in Brampton .HOM DESERVE 10 STARS ????????

Went in today for the first time and had a great experience. Got shampooed 3 times (I don't know if that's normal but it was like a free scalp massage) then I got a killer haircut and a beard trim. The price was less than I expected and I felt like part of the family while I was there. I reccomend this hair salon to anyone that has hair. I had a consultation with Caira today and overall loved the ambience and energy of the place. Offered me a choice of beverages and the entire staff was very friendly. They were very busy, but did take the time to check out if I was okay while waiting for my consult. Caira understood immediately what my requirement was and did not hesitate to give me a solution, which showed me that she knows and loves her craft well. I have an appointment fixed in a week's time and I am sure I will be able to put 5 stars at the end of that appointment. Excited about my possible "new" look!!!!

My partner contacted them at 7.44 am to get a cut with the master for next day. She was first given 10 am, then tgey changed it to 11.20 then again for 11.40. She originally asked for first appointment and confirmed 10 when she was given that time, yet they kept changing it!? This was her first time there and this type of customer service totally discouraged her.

I had the most other worldly experience today at House of Mann. The staff were absolutely top notch human beings. I felt right at home! Maggie spent almost 6 hours taking expert care of me today after having the worst hair experience at En Vogue salon. What a complete difference in experiences. Maggie did some serious CPR on my hair today, she gave me my confidence back today. Maggie is a true hair Angel. I am sincerely grateful for her today.
