I always loved going to this salon. With my thick, wavy Mediterranean hair, I struggle to find hairdressers who know how to blow-dry my hair so it can last even in the humidity. My favourite lady in the salon is Ruba. Just looking at her perfectly coloured and groomed hair, I know I can trust her with mine. I don't even have to explain to her what I am looking for anymore. She even suggests what's best for me, what would suit me in terms of colour and style. To top it all, she is a very sweet, friendly lady. I highly recommend her.

I moved to Mississauga a few years ago and went to my regular hairdresser until she moved away a couple years ago. Not sure where to go, my fiance suggested I visit this salon and ask for Nor to style my hair, as he saw a lot of positive reviews for both her and the salon. I've been here twice now and have loved the results each time! Nor did a fantastic job and is so friendly and funny, which made the whole experience all the more enjoyable. My most recent visit included getting a balyage, toned and styled. It was my first time getting a balyage and I love it. After a year since my last haircut my hair looks great and feels so light and fresh! Another thing that was really nice to see is that all the staff are professional, friendly, and willing to help each other out. This will be my go to salon for years to come. And the bonus is that it's so close to home. Thank you Nor and to all the staff at Hairworks!

Where do I start. After so many different salon appointments, different hair stylists I still was never satisfied. Until I met Nor she was extremely patient and understanding with what I wanted, she really took the time and got me exactly where I wanted to be. Chill atmosphere and positive energy that radiates from her aswell!!! My hair is left much healthier and blonder then before! Not to mention the honest realistic feedback you get. Something you need to hear to get where you wanna be. Goodbye yellow hello blonde! Will be going here for now often. Really recommend it.

I got bright red highlights done in my hair by Helen. She was nice and it turned out great. She didn't rush it and I love it!! She was patient and careful. Visited Hairworks Salon for my first time recently, and met the wonderful hair stylist, Susan (not to be confused with Sue, another stylist who works there). First, YOUR job, the pre-prep to your appointment: Be prepared for what you want and are hoping to be done with your hair. I recommended going to the salon with pics not only of what you want done, but also what your hair looks like at its best, and also at its natural state - no products and no styling done... Just air dried so your stylist and know what you'd like and what they're working with... It isn't fair to you or your stylist if they can make your hair look great that day, and then you get disappointed that your everday experience isn't quite the same. Second, the salon: In our time of endless pandemic uncertainty, I was pleased with how clean the salon was (e.g., free of cut hair from floors, constant chair wipedowns, available hand sanitizer, etc), the social distancing rules, requirement for masks, etc. Next, the atmosphere: I was greatful for the music playing the background and chatter of other stylist/cusomter conversations, that made this salon warm and relaxing. Perfect for a "me", "pick me up", or "reset" day. Last, my stylist: Susan's friendly and welcoming personality, along with her professionalism, talent, skill, and knowledge, are second to none and made my appointment an absolute delight. After a discussion with Susan for what I wanted done, what products/treatment are currently in my hair, and how my hair is naturally, she also recommended a few suggestions to take my new hair style/idea from an A to an A+ (which she did!) 0nce Susan got started on my hair, I felt she took her time and didn't rush, ensuring that both she and I thought every aspect was perfect and we were both pleased. My appointment was about 3.5 hours long, but that's because I got shadow root highlights on top of already highlighted/dyed hair, wash and deep conditioning, a cut with long layers, and styling. I have included a pic of my hair before (straight and redder) and after (curled and highlighted) (what I call "Susan's masterpiece"). Despite the fact that she curled my hair gorgeously that day, my hair still looks just as nice now that I've been home a few days and washed and styled (straightened) my hair myself. I am more than happy. I plan on coming here for all future hair appointments, and highly recommend this salon (and especially Susan) for all your hair appointment needs. You won't be disappointed!

Its always a good sign when your hair dresser has great hair. Rouba did my cut and I am super pleased with it. She listened to what I wanted, asked before the initial cut if I was comfortable with the length it would be and did a great job. She offers great suggestions for your hairstyle but never proceeds without your permission. If you're nervous about how your hair is cut, I would recommend Rouba 100%.

I had my post-pandemic haircut for the first time in 2 years, and Rouba did an amazing cut that was exactly what I wanted...low maintenance but with dimension. I also had my hair coloured for the first time in my life ! I have done permanent straightening here , really appreciate the work she has done. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that good on my hair. I was expecting great results by seeing the previous reviews, which made me to spend 380$ ????. It was a wrong decision in my case. Sorry to write this. Do not recommend. I have an update here as I received call from salon the very next day when I wrote this review to enquire what went wrong, I did explain my experience and she booked an appointment for a free consultation with a different person mentioning this person does straightening every week. But When I visited salon I was attended by the person has done the straightening for me. She checked my hair and mentioned that she will do the straightening again on my hair after 2 weeks as it may damage my hair if she do it rightnow. Then I suggested to do it after a month instead of 2 weeks. She was not ok with that as she don't want to work on the new hair which grows in a month . She told: "I will call you to book an appointment after 2 weeks and will it because you paid for it." I said OK. All these happened 4 weeks ago. I didn't receive any call after that.

I did some research beforehand and this salon had a lot of good reviews. With all the positive reviews I felt confident going to try this place out. Considering I paid $50 for just a cut, you would think the hair cut would be half decent at worse. But it was worse than that. The receptionist washed my hair when I arrived but was understanding when I asked to speak with the hair dresser to show her my hair type, natural curls, thickness etc. prior to it being wet. At that point I met Vidya Basiram and I thought she understood what I wanted and was hopeful at the cut. That changed quickly when she started chopping away. I made it VERY clear I wanted no more than 1 INCH off. And then she cut 2 inches. When I pointed out it was way to short and she was cutting off more than I wanted her attitude changed completely. She informed me that she was not cutting a lot and if I think that is a lot then maybe I didn't need a hair cut. After all she has been in the business for twenty something years, she knows what she is doing she told me. WOW. Not only was I paying for a horrible hack job when I could have paid half the price at first choice but now I was getting attitude because I didn't like the haircut that I didn't ask for. Once she finished chopping my length, the receptionist came back to blow dry my hair. I was surprised Vidya ended up coming to finish it off. She blowed dried it straight, but still couldn't hide how short it was. This time her excuse was that because the front no longer had side bangs it made the cut look shorter. Are you kidding me? I went home and showered right away to see how bad is was when curly. Let's just say I will be wearing a ponytail for the next few months. If I want to pay $50.00 to have an inch cut off I don't understand why that is an issue, just cut one inch.

I decided to try Hairworks as I recently moved to Mississauga and needed to find a long term hairdresser. Hairworks had a high rating with tons of reviews which I went through and decided to give it a try - boy was I disappointed. The energy as soon as you walked in was depressing, the customer service was horrible ( I was not even greeted upon arrival - a simple, hello! - would have been nice). The lady who washed my hair, who's name I believe was Iman was clearly rushing, which I don't understand considering there weren't many other people there and when she rinsed the back of my head she sprayed down the entirety of my back and I was soaked. No sincere apology whatsoever - and then she aggressively put my hair in a towel and brought me to my hairdresser. I have had many haircuts in my life, but I've never come across someone who washed my hair and ruined my outfit before I had to go to a function...I felt almost like I was a burden to this business by being there. Truly unfortunate experience. My hairdresser Rubba did a good job, nothing out of the ordinary but I did ask for something simple - which I appreciated she respected. Hairworks is the first salon I've visited since moving to this city and it will definitely be my go-to. I had a great experience here: the place was clean and welcoming, and the staff at the salon were friendly and accommodating to my needs (ladies wearing hijab,there is a private room here they can do your hair and makeup in!) Went in for a cut and balayage - Noor, assisted by Hannah, did a fantastic job on my cut. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave me exactly that, only it looked even better than I imagined. Noor is professional and a hard worker - we had a little trouble on my balayage because undertones in my natural hair caused it to be a lot brighter than I wanted. However, Noor wouldn't let me leave till I was happy, so I returned and she worked on my hair till it was exactly like the picture I'd shown, at no extra charge. I really appreciate it and couldn't be happier with the final result. Thanks Noor!

I came in to have my hair cut after 6 months. Susan who does my hair is wonderful and very professional. Upon paying i was told that my price included a $5.00 ppe charge. This is outrageous you are taking advantage of the situation and making a profit. I work in a retail store and we know how much it costs for ppe and it is not close to $5.00. If I had been told at the beginning I would of refused to pay. I will have to think about coming back to a place that would charge me to stay safe shame on you.
