I stopped in this evening on my way home from work. It was an amazing experience. I did not have a long wait. My stylist was very pleasant and a joy to speak with. She did a excellent job with my hair and made me feel very comfortable. She took the time to make sure I was happy and made recommendations for the products I wanted to purchase. I also had my brows waxed and it too was perfect. I had a terrific experience and would highly recommend this First Choice Haircutters location to anyone, not just for the wonderful haircut but for the conversation as well.

I have been going to this location for years all because of Geeta, she’s absolutely amazing! A couple of years ago I had set an appointment at another location I was going to before well in advance to colour and cut my hair for my university graduation photos. Once I got to the salon they claimed they couldn’t do that colour although it was a basic colour situation and I had it done there before. Not to mention I had gone over in detail about what I wanted done and what my hair currently was like at the time of booking my appointment. I was devastated as I had my photos in the next two days. Panicked I called around and came to this location and Geeta took me in immediately. I explained my situation and she was outraged that they treated me this way and upon looking at my hair she was confident she could provide me the colour and cut I wanted. I was so happy, she literally saved my university graduation pictures. It was the best colour I had ever got done and the pictures looked amazing. Because she was so kind, accommodating and friendly I knew I wasn’t ever going to go to another salon or deal with any other hair dresser. Even though now I live in Hamilton I still only ever come back here to get my hair done by her. Thanks Geeta!

She is so patient with my son and she has been his stylist for almost 3yrs now. It's so hard to get a stylist who accommodates your request with patience. So genuine and very pleasant. I have been going to this First Choice for years and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. For starters, the environment is so warm and welcoming! The staff is kind and always willing to help. Geeta specifically is the one I have trusted my hair with for over five years and there is a reason I've been consistently going back. Not only is the service great, but the care you receive is above and beyond. You are surrounded by people that genuinely care about haircare. I have curly hair and I am so thankful to have found Geeta. She understands curly hair! Also, they are truly so easy to talk to. Conversation is never a drag, there is always something to talk about and someone to make you laugh. **An important note** With the pandemic in it's second wave, I've definitely been limiting my outings, however, the precautions this location has taken to prevent the spread made me feel incredibly safe.

I was very unhappy with my haircut. The stylist did not know what she was doing and looked very confused. I highly recommend people not to go to Samantha. Additionally, there was no compensation given to me after receiving a horrible hair cut. They are not considerate and the manager (Geeta) would not give me my refund back. Therefore, I will not be coming back to this location.

I went in for a haircut a trim specifcally, but was denied the style i wanted. I booked for a wash,cut and style but was not given the service requested as the hair styist "had another client".The hairstylist was a women named Pam. The worse experince I have ever had with a hair salon. I asked for a long layers and was told they can do it, and after the wash it was too "diffcult" to do. I reccommed going somwhere else if you want your hair cut properly. Hairstylist should know what they are doing, no matter how long or short the hair is. Dont waste your time and money here.

Always does a great job, and recommends the right products to maintain my hair. My son had his first haircut here, when he was 3. He'll be 15 soon ????. We had a very pleasant experience here, after being turned away from another local salon (for no other obvious reason than a money grab). They welcomed us in, gave two awesome cut/trims in preparation of school picture day. Both of the stylists we saw were absolutely lovely, friendly, and talkative. Prices are reasonable. Okay-ish service but I wouldn't recommend people to go here, the Guyanese old lady was the one I got my haircut from. She was very kind but unprofessional. Kept on tellinv ne I have so many tangles, that's cause I have super dry hair, plus I got a hair wash before the cut, which indicated you didn't do a nice job honey. Just telling people to buy their products and not giving enough time are the 2 worst minus points I would say. AND SHE DID NOT DRY MY HAIR COMPLETELY

This First Choice takes appointments and are ready for you when you show up. No wait. All customers get a clean cape and they emphasize social distancing protocol, all staff and customers wore their masks *properly* the whole time and I felt safe. My hair was so messed up from salons being closed in covid phase 1 and Agigha fixed it very nicely. She worked professionally, I would highly recommend this place!

My hairdresser Anita was great. The two stars is for the fact another hairdresser, an older lady with short blonde hair made a big scene about Anita doing my hair. This woman is SO unprofessional and made me want to walk right out (unfortunately this was my only free Saturday so I stuck to my appointment) There was a woman who wanted her infant child to have a hair cut too and we both had an appointment for 1:30. My appointment was for Anita and the blonde haired lady was assigning the child to Anita probably so she can take my appointment for herself. I was in for a wash, cut and style. Maybe she figured she get more in tip if she did my hair. But she made a huge scene and embarrassed me by having me sit back down when Anita called me. She didn't stop there when Anita called me again she continued to fight Anita and proceeded to complain to their supervisor. I dont understand what this woman's problem was and to be honest it ruined my experience here. I hope she is not like this ever again.

My hair was overgrown from covid and i really wanted to get layers to make my hair have more texture and look better. I went in and the staff member Pam was quite friendly, but the haircut as absolutely terrible. It was the worst haircut I have ever received in my life. I have gotten layers plenty of times and I could say for sure that this job was done very poorly. Half my hair is gone and she made layers so thick and short. It looks terrible and I have no idea how to style it. I don’t even want to go out in public because it looks absolutely terrible. I do not recommend going to Pam for layers, I’m extremely upset and just to be safe, never going to this location again.
