Went here for the first time this weekend and I will definitely be going back! Erika B worked on my hair and was great! She listened to what I wanted and made her on suggestions as well. I have never loved a hair cut as much as I have loved this one! The staff are all friendly and welcoming and you can see great teamwork!

Absolutely love the staff at this salon, the prices are a bit high but I pay for the experience and I feel pampered when I go there so it's totally worth it. Candace at the front is so nice, the only girl who works at the front in the evenings is pretty rude so I usually try to call during the day when Candace is there. The other girl is just super unfriendly and seems to really hate her job. Both Erica's , and Jenn are my FAVORITE! My first visit there I had Deborah and my highlights were terrible, I asked for peekaboo ones because I wanted less maintenance and she kinda asked like it was an inconvenience and tried to do things her way, which made my hair look so patchy, yellow, and just really crappy. My husband is friends with jenn so I decided to give the salon another chance and go with someone else and I'm sooo happy I did. Erica H did my hair the second time and I was absolutely in love, it was exactly what I had always wanted and pictured in my head forever! I always try to get her but she's usually booked the days I want so if she's full I'll get jenn or Erica b who are also great :) will never get Deborah again, I've seen so many reviews of her poor service so I'm not sure why such a great salon still has her working there, but whatever.

I usually love this salon and have had great hair colour and cut experiences with both Erika and Marina but today with Deb or Deborah I had an awful colour experience. She was very sloppy throughout the process and left dye all over my face and as well neck, there was as well dye that fell unto my clothing due to her rushing and sloppy nature . Very disappointed as well with the level of communication she was very rushed and did not take the time to discuss the colour and as well the processing time or when she would leave. I as well specified I did not want an undertone of red or blue to the black hair I desired I instead asked for a natural black that I wouldn't have minded being a dark brown need be but instead I left the salon realizing at home that there was an undertone of red. Very disappointed in a salon that I really enjoyed .

Called to set up 2nd appointment to have it fixed and was charged 1/2 price , so in total haircut cost me 115.00 (with tip) I have worked in a number of salons and never have heard of anyone being charged for cut they werent satisfied with. I had an amazing experience with Leah Edwards today with Ego Salon. I must say I was a bit nervous about heading into the salon after more than 8 months since my last visit. The staff at Ego are incredibly vigilant about customer and employee health and safety in these strange times a d put me right at ease with their thorough and mindful health practices. Not only that I had an amazing colour and cut from Leah! Thanks for the amazing experience back into the new "normal". I feel great and am very happy with the look!

I went to Ego salon to fix my hair. I had really brassy highlights and even lighter, almost white blonde highlights in my hair that did not look good. Jessica (@hairbyjessg) from Ego Salon took the time to walk me through how to correct my hair, how to get it the goal I wanted (a natural blonde/brown balayage) and toned my hair so that it was a beautiful soft brown shade, this way I could still feel confident in my current hair while we worked towards the goal. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and genuinely care. Id also like to mention that they make a pretty great cappuccino! Thank you so much Ego salon and Jessica for saving my hair. I'll only be going here from now on.

My experience with Ego Salon in Brampton is one that will keep my coming back forever. For starters, there Secretary, Victoria, is amazing. She does so much and maintains a positive and uplifting attitude through it all. She answers every call with evidential manners and respect which I love. My stylist, Russel, from the get-go Russel was attentive, respectful, super easy to talk too and absolutely happy to help me achieve a look that I was proud of. He knew all the right questions to ask and made me feel comfortable with letting him do his work. The cut itself turned out amazing, and I couldn’t be happier. My colorist, Cathy, also amazing in the service department, made sure that we both had the same vision in mind and executed my colour not only with care, but with effeciency. She made sure she was in love with my hair before I was. You won’t find people who care this much about what they do at any other Brampton Salon. Fantastic management/ownership, and fantastic services. So thankful for this team!

However an all- over colour with toner , I was quoted 115 by my stylist, upon paying I was told by the receptionist the price was 129 plus tax , because I was paying debit otherwise it would have been 115 cash ???? . I did not even receive one foil , my hair was damp and braided When I left . Far too much money for such little attention given . Happy I had no plans but chilling tonight ????. Kind of unimpressed considering my neighbor had been going there for so long she recommended it because I just moved here . Gotta say , didn't feel the love .

Best salon in Brampton thus far ! I have always changed my hair between blonde and brunette periodically and each time I was left with dry, damaged fried hair. I recently went to Ego and had blonde balayage done to my hair. Weeks later and my hair is left feeling stronger, healthy And soft . Parking sucks! Guys downstairs are amazing!! :) Upstairs... almost an entirely different salon. I went to get my dark brown hair, lighter. I was given Deborah. I told her what I wanted to do, she made me feel like it was an inconvenience for her. She then suggested a full head of highlights. I agreed and went on with everything, got my hair cut and bangs by Derek (HE'S GREAT!!!). Paid 180$$$$$ got home and people couldn't believe I had any highlights let alone a full head. I was upset so I called back, Deborah DIDNT sound impressed nor agreed with me but offered to correct it cost free. I was super impressed!! I went in, she didn't even speak to me, started working on my hair with NO direction, have straight across bangs, she add four, 4!!!!! foils to my bangs. :( :( then it the most odd places of course with the streaky look, also leaving big giant brown chunks. My bangs are yellow, my hair is black and brown and orange everywhere with no consistency. I could have done a better job myself 10000% honest! I'm so sad my hair is ruined or I have to pay another 100$ to fix a awful colour from a supposed "colour specialist". I wont be going back there for a colour ever. Will for sure still see Derek for my hair cuts but that's about it for Ego Salon

Nothing bad to say about the cut and color at all, Erica did a wonderful job. The problem is that the salon issues these promotional coupons, giving a cut and color for $85 ($200 value it says), but they didn't honor it. I went in two Thursdays ago to book for the long weekend Saturday, in person, but they were closed on long weekends. The following weekend we decided last minute to get my girlfriend's hair done; we called this time as we were unable to make it in. The receptionist assured us that all we needed to do was bring the coupon in, so we made the appointment. After the cut and color was done, they said the coupon was for in-person, advanced bookings only and charged $200. No where on the coupon does it state that and that's not what we were advised over the phone. The best answer they could give is the receptionist we spoke to was new... That's NOT the customer's problem. When I called to speak with the owner on behalf of my girlfriend, I was told to call back Tuesday or Wednesday because they were slower days... We would have to give serious consideration before using this salon again, and the coupon expires end of August... How convenient.

I paid $130 for peek a boo high lights that looked terrible. I had absolutely no consultation. It came out bronze which was what i asked that i did not want. No bronzy undertone. The only reason i gave it 2 stars is because steve let me get it re-coloured but even that was a 15 min process and the colour turned back to bronze in a week. They dont even blow dry your hair. I went here years ago and unfortunetly the artist doesnt work there anymore..wish i could find him. Since then prices have sky rocketed. And no blow dry finish like i got years ago...their EGO has gotten to their heads. Anyways chopped off about 6 inches of my hair 2 weeks later just because i couldnt stand the colour and didnt want to damage it further.

This happened awhile ago and I still haven’t been able to forget this experience. Every time I tell people this, they ask why I never complained and asked for a refund. I had high hopes for Ego salon as I’ve heard good things so I had an appointment with Jessica G for a balayage and she was incredibly unprofessional. She made chunky bleached areas in my hair which definitely was not a balayage. She blamed me for why it looked that way because I had temporary dye in my hair but the color wasn’t the problem, it was the way it was done. To top it all off, the last words she said to me while she was inspecting the final look, before I left the salon was “Oh my god, don’t tell anyone I did your hair”.

It was almost 2 and 1/2 years since I had cut my hair but made the decision that it was time to lose the 'man bun'. Even still, I haven't had less than chin length hair in over 2 decades and it was a decision that I didn't take lightly. Thankfully, the hair stylist (Chantal) and colour technician (Debora) that came recommended to me were simply phenomenal. Every time I leave Ego Salon, I walk out feeling like a million dollars! My colour technician Debora, is truly talented. She's attentive, takes her time and is really fun to be around! She has taken me from blonde to red to dark brown and back to blonde again, and always acheives the results that I am looking for. I’m a business owner in the beauty industry and I’m a HUGE fan of Ego. The management is on top on everything, the front end support staff is excellent. I have seen a few of the colourists there and each of them is talented. I am not an easy customer, everyone has their “thing” and the perfect blonde is mine. My colourist Deb nails it each time, suggesting ways to create dimension. The price point is fantastic for the quality of skill and product line used. It’s a great experience everytime I’m there and I look forward to my appts. FYI: the Blow Dry Club is genius: $100 a month for as many blow outs as you want.

I've only been once, but what a great experience. A friendly, warm atmosphere with upbeat music playing. I saw Chantelle for a trim, and she was easy going, and had great advice. She styled my hair wonderfully, and she was so fast (45 minutes for shoulder length wash, trim and blow dry). I will definitely be returning.

My haircut was good, no problems there. Great stylist, very nice and she gave me a very good cut (Erika, thanks!). My issue was with my colour experience. I had gone in with very light blonde hair, asking for a cool silvery colour. My stylist (Deborah) said okay, and went to work. I didn't get to point out a colour in any books, or even get much of a response when I showed her a reference picture. She was very dismissive of it. So, giving her the benefit of the doubt, I figured I will trust her work since I've seen good colour jobs she's done on a friend of mine, who has the silver I expected (and received in one sitting). When I got home and inspected her work, I noticed how incredibly ashy it was. It was a very weird combination of grey hairs and a dull ash blonde. The overall colour resembled cigarette ash. This would be fine if I was told it might take more than 1 session, however I was told nothing during my visit. Only that "it'll lighten when it dries". Not to mention the very rushed job she did on my roots. I asked to keep some root, for lower maintenance, but it looks like she slapped the brush all over without much care to make a blended, or even straight line. I emailed them regarding all these concerns and have heard nothing in return. I'm quite disappointed in the overall lack of communication, and the unprofessional turn out. *Edit as of March 17th. Both the owner and the colourist have reached out to me to rectify the situation which was very much appreciated. The owner actually called around Christmas time, and colourist called a couple months ago. So, thank you to them for reaching out and offering to fix my hair and the unpleasant experience. Unfortunately I have moved kind of far from Brampton and will not be able to take them up on the offer. Just wanted to add this update for anyone reading the reviews.

I highly recommend Erica B for cut and colour, she is so knowledgable and well worth the price. I went in with an idea of how I wanted my hair colour but I wasn't 100% certain, Erica knew exactly what would work with my skin tone and I trusted her completely. Everything turned out amazingly and I've been getting compliments on my hair ever since. The salon generally has such a great vibe to it and I loved the mini cafe upstairs, I thoroughly enjoyed my tea during my colouring. Highly recommend this salon!

I have been going to Ego Salon for over 3 years for haircuts with Russell. I wanted to write a review to highlight the excellent customer service I get there every single time. Russell does an amazing job with my hair! This time I was not happy with my haircut and I went back to Russell to tell him my hair didn't curl as it usually does. I'm always nervous to complain and was debating if I should go back or not. But my experience was amazing. They booked the appointment without asking many questions. Russell spend also 40 mins on me including blow drying it to make sure I was happy with the final product!! I have been to many salons in GTA and I am very picky about my haircut. It's rare that I have seen someone handle a complaint with such grace and elegance. Thank you so much Russell for exceeding my expectations (especially given that I am not easy to please)!!

Great place, friendly staff, out of this world results... just an overall amazing experience. After years of searching for a colorist and stylist I was referred to ego salon and was completely blown away. The staff is super friendly and very accomidating, I had a function to attend and called as a last minute thing hoping they would be able to take me in. The receptionist truly accomidated me and it was smooth sailing from there. Erica totally blew me away with my color and Russel finished it off with an amazing cut.. life and texture was brought back into my hair ..love it!!! thanks ego!!

I was first introduced to Ego Salon as my hair stylist moved there and brought some of her clients. This is a fantastic salon, it has a great vibe and is in an older house with character. It has modern decor, and they play great music, but not too loud. They also offer a great selection of magazines while you wait, and complimentary drinks, including water, teas and yummy cafe drinks. Upstairs is for colour, downstairs for cuts. They carry a good selection of hair care products that always smell amazing, in particular Redken, which is what I use. If you are coming for the first time, note that it's on a busy street in downtown Brampton, and there's only street parking. You may want to plan to come early so you can find a spot, however I've personally never had trouble.
