I have finally found my place!! Shannon is truly the best hairstylist I’ve ever been too and, I’m in my late 50’s! I booked an appointment to get my hair highlighted and cut and was beyond thrilled with the results. I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair! Went back 8 weeks later and left the decision on what to do with my hair to Shannon and I was not disappointed! Amazing!! If you’re looking for a clean, friendly, professional salon, this is the place! Very much looking forward to my next visit!! Thank you, Shannon for renewing my faith in hairstylists!!

I have been getting my hair cut by Kent for over 30 years. I have followed him all over Brampton to the various salons where he has worked. From the early days in Shoppers World with my punk haircut, to body perms, to now at Afterglow with my layered hair with a razor cut finish. Kent knows exactly how to cut and style my fine hair and always make it look good. Kent stays current with the styles and I trust his advice. As you can tell, I won't go anywhere else. I get compliments all the time about my hair from complete strangers. (Sometimes I feel I should wear at-shirt to advertise the salon.) I live in Mississauga but it's worth the drive to Brampton!

The people who work here are rude!! I went in during the summer with my son and waited at the front desk - the receptionist or whoever should have been there was not. One of the stylist clearly saw me standing there. Instead of saying hi someone will be with you soon or calling someone to talk to me she just ignored me and continued talking to the client in the chair. I waited about 5 minutes when someone finally came and said they were booked until the next day. But looking back I really I would have been mad at myself for paying someone who has no respect for customers so I’m glad they were booked. Fast forward to today so I was coming home late from work and I needed my eyebrows done and I figured they are on my way home might as well see if they do it. So I called and asked if they do eye brow threading the girl goes yeah I go ok are you available now she goes oh threading no we don’t do that and hangs up. I would expect a place that is marking as a high end (classy) salon would have better customer service. Not that it matters but I spend hundreds of dollars getting my hair highlighted and dyed, cuts etc and because of their lack of customer service I would never step foot in that salon again.

I booked an appointment with Christine to get my hair done. I had requested the balayage look and even brought in some photos of what I was hoping to match. I had a later appointment that day, so there weren't many staff left. There was some hair show going on, so the staff there were busy preparing for it. After applying the bleach and product to my hair, I was put under the dryer as that's the process. They said I had to wait about 20 minutes. I waited well over 45 minutes (clearly forgotten since they were busy packing for their hair show). The water was freezing cold too, the girl washing my hair said that happens often as they have issues with the plumbing. Christine then took over and dried and styled my hair. I was very unhappy and disappointed with the end result. It looked like attempted highlights, not even close to being balayage. I didn't say anything at the time as I just wanted to leave because I'd been there for a long time. After pondering about what I wanted to do, I decided to go back to complain the next day. I explained to the lady at the desk that I wasn't happy and wanted to speak to the manager not knowing that Christine was in fact the manager. She got very defensive with me claiming that that's the way she does balayage and that it isn't highlights. I even pointed out that I had shown her a photo of what I wanted and she said she could match it. She refused to agree that she saw it and agreed, so I asked her to do it properly again. I was told I had to pay again if I wanted it changed. I asked for a refund at this point and she said no and told me to leave her saloon. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Not professional, inexperienced, overpriced and not at par with the current styles.

I hope he never retires! A funky hip senior who never ages. I have been going to him since I was 30 & I will be 74 this year in 2019!

I always love coming here. The atmosphere is relaxing and decor/design is to die for. It's stunning and completely different from any other hair salon in Brampton. I have been to a 1000 different places and been threw his as many hair dressers. But this place definitely takes the cake. Great, highly trained polite staff. They offer food and drinks, and many other services besides hair. Like nails, waxing, tanning, facials etc :)

Terrible haircut! I brought in a picture so it would be clear on how I wanted my hair to be cut the only resemblance between the picture and how it turned out is that we both Female. I feel embarrassed on how I look. I told her it was uneven around the ears one side was longer than the other but her comment was it’ll look better in a week can’t wait to see how that works out

The owner Shannon, should set the example of customer service and professionalism, unfortunately this is not the case. Shannon, if you make a mistake with a customer, try to make it right, and at the VERY least, apologize- this is your responsibility as the owner of the salon- take OWNERSHIP. The other staff here are friendly however I will not be returning to a place where the owner does not value her customers.

If you’re looking to get your hair lighter to any blonde or balayage colour. DO NOT go to them. When I went to book my appointment first they told me it would cost around $180-220 and I thought it was a really good price for the length of my hair which is very short (few inches above my shoulders). My budget was very limited and I wanted to get my hair lighter cause I kind of messed it up when I tried doing it at home. It was a brassy toned blonde. I requested a platinum blonde colour. They ended up charging me $290 and I was so upset cause it was wayy over my budget for me and not what they told me when I booked my appointment but that’s not the worst part. They didn’t give me exactly the colour I wanted but it was kinda close & better than what I had before so I didn’t really think about it too much. A few days later I washed my hair WITH purple shampoo and the colour faded back to a warm blonde instead of the cool blonde they did for me. IT DIDNT EVEN LAST A WEEK. I was so disappointed on wasting so much money on them when I could’ve went to someone 10x professional with that price. Less than a month later I had to redye it again cause it went back to a warm/brassy tone again which means they used a very cheap quality toner on me. I know a lot of people who get their hair done & don’t even use purple shampoo but their hair still says a nice & cool tone. I definitely will NEVER be going back their again & wont be recommending it to anyone I know. The overall experience was just horrible.

Not really focused too much on one client I had another girl do majority of my hair as opposed to the stylist I was paying for. I’ve been to other salons were the stylists main priority was the clients needs, here I just felt that it was more focused on money.

The salon itself is great, the staff are friendly and they offer coffee/water, and take care of you. But that’s the only good thing from my experience. The stylists are all free lancers, so make sure you pick a good one, other wise you’re going to regret it. I had gone to Shannon and mentioned that my hair was very washed out and shown a picture and she said she knows what to do. My hair was already bleached and all thankfully all i was doing was toning which cost me 150$. I got my hair coloured on the 4th of July and by the 16th (not even 3 washes later) my hair had gone back to it’s brassy yellow colour which I find unacceptable for the price I had paid. I am beyond upset with the money I lost and on top of that, the company/stylist cannot be reached because their email is wrong. Never going back to this place and please do the same unless you want you waste your money like I did. So disappointing.

The stylist I had was friendly and fit me in right away. But that’s the only good thing I can say. It was the first time I’ve ever had my hair coloured and I can’t look at it without being upset. It’s the wrong colour and definitely the wrong style, it even has ridiculous lines that makes my hair look like it has kinks in it when it’s straight. I had a picture of what I was looking for and she assured me she could do it but it looks awful and COMPLETELY not what I asked for at all. I’m doing an at home colouring back to my original colour as I don’t trust them to do it properly. First and Last time I’m getting my hair done.
