I used to go to this salon from a recommendation. I liked my hair but it wasn't what I originally wanted. I paid such a fortune for it too. My grad hair was so different from what I wanted it to be but because I didn't have lots of time I went with it. Definitely switching salons.

Wow . Based on the previous ladies response, I WILL NOT BE GOING HERE. you should appreciate those who put you in business, and not email them , turning a situation around on them, and claim they are making an experience up , that is horrible business ethic, and I will never put my hard earned money towards a salon, who does not recognize things and appropriately respond to concerns from clients. When people go to a hair salon, they are putting faith into someone to give them what they want, and when that doesn't happen, responses as such to your clients is so disgusting, and unethical.

Hello, Ive been going to hush since i was 15 years old, an Joanne is an amazing stylist an owner of the establishment, she would always take her time an ask your opinions. If you wanted it done a certain way she would listen an do it properly. She is amazing an i am 22 now an still going to her for my haircuts/dye. She's absolutely fabulous an to that kristin person who just made a completely an over exaggerated lie of a post you need to grow up an its obvious that you probably are friends with another salon manager or owner. So your trying to make someone look bad when joanne would never do, what you said she has done.

My husband came here yesterday for a haircut. Wow one of the worst hair cuts he has ever gotten. Not impressed at all. I should of referrred him somewhere else but I read the reviews. Top it off he is the best man....ugh

Awful awful awful. First, I had the OWNER of the salon Joanne as I had heard she was the best. She left me sitting in the chair most of the time and attended to other people. All I needed was a root touch up for blonde highlights. She did not put my under the dryer and as a result I did not process enough and the roots were ORANGE. My previous stylist had weaved the highlights and she decided to slice and so it looked all awkward and chunky but only at the roots. When the junior stylist rinsed me and styled it, I remarked that it was very orange - she at first said it would wash out, which is ridiculous and a lie, and then she said oh sorry, Joanne's gone. SHE LEFT THE SALON WITHOUT EVEN SAYING GOODBYE and I was charged 200 dollars and even left a tip. I had to go to another salon to have it fixed which was another 160 and ALL of the stylists in the other salon said she had made major mistakes and it was awful. I contacted them through their fb page, sent photos, and they never responded. Ridiculous and terrible customer service. I gave her the opportunity to remedy the situation and got nothing. DO NOT GO HERE!

Salon Hush treated me unprofessionally during my wedding preparations. I never leave reviews but, having worked in customer service management, I feel a company cannot improve without knowing feedback. What started as initially a positive interaction and great hairstyle trial, ended in a contract nightmare which left me in tears a week before my wedding, a loss of a couple hundred dollars and my husband canceling the entire booking which was hairstylists for all 8-12 girls. Even after the cancelation and us losing the deposit, they contacted me a day before my wedding saying that they “didn’t know what to say, but that they would still be coming” and that I would be charged, even though we had forfeited our deposit already. This resulted in my husband having to sternly order them not show up that day and cause me to be in tears. We had to have our wedding coordinator made aware. I do not understand why they don’t understand contracts or why they would treat clients like this. I felt that they thought they had us in a bind because of the closeness of my wedding date. (I initially was just attempting to cancel a makeup artist I had inquired about and apparently they had booked for me, but when I tried to cancel her on being made aware, It was at least 8 days prior yet I was being held to a contract cancelation fee that allowed 7 days prior before it would be charged. They refused to honour the allowable time to cancel but demanded I pay the deposit/cancelation fee that was in this contract or they would send her anyway to my venue and charge me their service fee). It was an incredibly stressful and unfortunate decision to choose them. Though admittedly I did think their hairstyle work was quite good, I would not recommend unless some serious customer service skills are acquired. I am hurt and upset And I hope they make some changes to their attitude. Until then, I will be advising people against this salon as no one deserves treatment like that. It isn’t worth it. ** there was no confusion to the cancelation policy as via the contract. Telling me we had arranged a verbal contract (outside of the written contract) but then asking for $200 due as according to the written contract fee for cancelations ( not anything we discussed via phone), though I cancelled 8 days prior ,which IS also allowable as per the written contract, does not constitute a miss-communication or misunderstanding, but a flagrant disrespect to the contract you are asking me to uphold. It doesn't matter if I book a month before or a week before if I am canceling within the allowable time, that is not my responsibility nor should I lose money. As much as it sucks to have someone cancel a makeup artist, after you arranged it, if you expect me to abide by the contract, then I expect you to as well.

I've never felt so comfortable in a salon than at Salon Hush in Saskatoon! Firstly they offer a variety of professional services: from hair artistry to lash extensions to microblading to tattooing, so there is something for everyone! Every time my sister and I want our hair done, we swear by Hush. They accommodate us both at the same time, take amazing care of our hair and we leave looking and feeling our absolute best. I've also had the pleasure of having my tattoo retouched at Salon Hush for free and am extremely happy with it. The atmosphere there is perfectly beautiful, clean and relaxed, and the staff especially the owner are as professional and friendly as a client could possibly want! I will always recommend and come back to Salon Hush.

They make you feel right at home! Joanne is my absolute favourite hairstylist there! She’s super fun and awesome! A couple days ago I had the incredible opportunity to have a hair cut and color my hair at Salon Hush with Joanne. I have to say that this experience doesn’t begin to compare to the multiple times I got them somewhere else. I have now become a loyal client to the salon because of the over the top results. Joanne was always very thoughtful and requested my opinion at every step so I was always in charge but of course considering her insights as the amazing professional she is. She is charismatic, always on time, the place is very nice, more than fair pricing, and provides an all-around wonderful experience. I paid $ 250 for my hair to get a warm blonde to ashy silver. I was ok with the result although Michelle never did it how i showed her in the picture. After i washed it a day and a half later the whole thing came out. The toner she put in did take out a little of the warmness so my blonde looked better . i called amd she told me she would re do the whole thing on a wednesday at 10am. I called twice and showed up. Looked on google and their hours said they didnt open until 12 so i left thinking i got the wrong time. I went to nova scotia for my mother in the hospital for one week and when i came back her pregnant receptionist told me she would call, she never did. When i called back the receptionist called me a liar saying i never called or went there. I went to the salon to speak in person and michelle would not come out of the back room and talk to me. So i never got my hair re done and the damage to my hair is still there. I wont be going back there ever again!

My girl Joanne hooked me up. Had a rough day and she made the accommodations work. She moved my roots up and got most the yellow tones put of my blonde hair! Bleaching your hair and getting to the color white blonde I want is a long journey if you don't already know and she almost got exactly where I want my hair to be in one sitting. Ypu go girl! That's some serious skill. And no my hair isn't damaged super bad or fried. I'll definitely be back! I've been going to Michelle for years (even before she was at Salon Hush, but love you guys too!) and she never disappoints! One time I asked her to do a beehive style for a Christmas party. She had never done one before, but she researched it and did an amazing job. I was beyond impressed. She has coloured my hair a number of times. Everything from plain old blonde (which looked anything but plain or old!) to pink and purple. She looks at it like art, like a masterpiece. I love this salon. This is the only place I will go to get my hair and my daughters hair done. I had not been to a salon in years as every time I did, I felt uncomfortable and the stylists never listened to what I wanted, then I found Jo. She is absolutely amazing and makes you look and feel like a million bucks. I feel at home here and not like I'm just another customer. Jo is amazing at what she does, whether it's color, color correction, cut etc. If you are wanting someone to trust and are tired of having to go from salon to salon, call Salon Hush and get your appointment. I had my hair done by Michelle, and she was AMAZING!!! I had hunted for a stylist in the city for months after moving here. I am a natural warm toned brunette and was blond at the time, and everyone I saw before her didn't seem to have a clue. I ended up with orangey blonde, then brass blonde, then just an awful washed out blonde. Needless to say my trials with what were "top rated" salons in the city was EXTREMELY costly and very disappointing. Then I was referred to Michelle and she did such an amazing job, the colour was perfect and she managed to somehow bring some life back into my very damaged over bleached hair!!! I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Jo, after a bad hair job at another location I had avoided getting my hair done for years but I decided to give Hush a try and got my hair and brows done, it was the best decision! Jo did a phenomenal job on my hair colour as well as my brows they have NEVER looked so good! She nailed the color and shape better then I could have pictured. Jo is absolutely lovely! I normally wouldn't leave a bad review, but this has to be done.... I was told to go to Salon Hush by my mom who recently went in a few months ago and came home with a gorgeous colour, a job well done. So today I go in, with a somewhat similar colour in mind and we get started. Joanne was very friendly and kind and just made the appointment a pleasure! I sat around for 3 hours which was no surprise to me as that is my usual time in the chair at a salon. And when all was said and done, my hair almost seemed the opposite of what I was going for. My hair seemed a little lighter after and so I figured it was just the lighting. When I got home, my mom didn't even notice I got my hair done... there was no beautiful blonde that I was as going for. Thank goodness I took a before photo of my hair before heading out today because I compared the two and wow, my hair looks almost darker in some areas then I was before? And some of the blonde that she did put it turned purple?? What?! So I send in my messages to the page and say how I'm unhappy with the final results after really taking a closer look in a few different types of lighting. She said I'm welcome to come back and pay even more money then I already had. Why should I have to pay to fix someone else's mistake? My previous hairdresser was willing to fix her mistakes at no extra charge as mistakes happen, and took extra time out of her day to do so! That's how you leave with a happy and satisfied customer and earn good reviews! Ok so after all was said and done, she was willing to fix it for more money... I hadn't replied right away as I was busy that evening. But when I finally went to reply my response to her through messenger, I was blocked!!! I was going to let my hair color go as I know other hair dressers will help me achieve what I want and not write a review but to find out the owner blocked me from their salon page. Talk about unprofessionalism. Who in the right mind blocks an unsatisfied customer. And now I'm re-writing this review, as I was even blocked to post a review on the page on Facebook and so I posted it on my personal Facebook account which got removed the next day! Apparently some people can't handle the truth. All I can say is, DO NOT GO HERE!!! Save your money. I wasted $150 plus tip plus parking and for what? My hair to be done and it be the complete opposite of what I was going for? Thank goodness another salon heard of my crisis and is willing to help me out :)

Rude - I contacted them to fix my hair and they asked me to pay 1/2 the price to repair. RIDICULOUS! Why am I paying for that owner's negligence and lack of ability. Joanne is a joke - even if you file with Better Business Bureau (which many other people already have) she will only contact you at last minute and offer you to come back and waste your time and pay AGAIN. I'd called on a Saturday during holiday party season with the pipe dream of getting my hair cut. Joanne didn't have any time available then, but told me I could come in the next day (Sunday, though they were closed) and she'd do it then. I came prepared with references (as you do when you're chopping off a bunch) and it was so refreshing to not be second-guessed in my choice! Hair is hair, and it grows back if it's too short, and I was so happy Joanne was on board from the get-go. She made my hair look cute and cool and thoroughly exceeded my expectations! Also, the conversation while I was in her chair flowed. It was like I was catching up with a friend from school. Michelle has been doing my hair for 6 years, she took my naturally dark brown hair all the way to platinum blonde, has given me low lights, highlights, and took me to my now gorgeous balayage. Next to no damage, and I've not only received compliments on my hair constantly for the past 6 years, but I just recently had a girl ask me if she could take a photo of my hair to show her own stylist out here in Alberta, since she can't make (but almost considered making) the trek to Saskatoon. This is the first time I have been to Salon Hush. After seeing my best friend's hair for the last year, and always getting those cool hair tattoo's I thought I would give the salon he uses a try. Let me just say, I felt like I have been a customer there for years! I was treated so well. It was fun to just talk about dogs, play with the dogs in the salon, and have an amazing day out getting a make over. I had a vision of what I wanted my hair to be. I even had photographs. But my stylist Joanne knew exactly what to do. Gave me the funkiest, most cool look ever. I felt like a rock star!!! I believe, I have found the salon that I will always be going to. I feel so creative now with my hair after my experience here. In fact, I feel so darn beautiful. What an amazing lady I got to do my hair. I also met another lady there that does nails! Horrible! VERY expensive, even WORSE HAIR CUT and NON-EXISTING PROFESSIONALISM at Hush Salon! I normally take my issues to management to be resolved & sing to anyone who will listen when I have a fantastic experience! HOWEVER, contacting management who is apparently “Busy” “Out” and “Unavailable” is no longer worth my time. We are not from Stoon & my son wanted an “Awesome” hair cut so I splurged and we booked an appointment at Hush Salon, what a mistake! We took in a picture of what he wanted. She used the clipper free hand and was not skilled enough to be doing so! She almost took it right down to the SCALP on one side!! And THEN does not blend it in!! So on one side it is literally ¼” long when the picture AND our discussions were to leave the sides around 1 ½ - 2”! When she thinned & cut his bangs….it would have been a better job with a bic razor! She did a “mess” style to his bangs so I did not realize HOW bad it really was until after we were in the car & my son became VERY upset as he was looking in the mirror! He was TOO EMBARRASSED to go back into the salon because people were going to “See” him “like this”! We had to leave the city before I could get back to the salon that day so I called the following business day and the first time I called the manager was “busy”. I called back later that day at the time told me to and she was “out” and to call back in 2 days in the afternoon. I again called back and the manager was “unavailable”. They flat out refused to give me her name. They flat refused tell me when she was expected to be in/available. NEVER AGAIN! I can forgive a bad haircut but bad professionalism is inexcusable! I did received a reply to my mirroring review on their fb page. This is their PRIVATE email response.....I'm sorry about your experience. But this ALL sounds made up. No message were left and there is no haircut recorded under this name and it's a fake account. So the next one you want to bash someone's business because one of your friends got fired. As mentioned it was my SON who had his hair cut, not me. Therefore, MY name would not be in their records! I am unable to post the pic of my credit card statement with HUSH SALON name on this post but it on their fb page if there is any question on who the liar is!

All wrong from the time I stepped in the door: 1) Hair dresser was 20 minutes late 2) Told her what color's highlighted into my hair and she assumed she understood without allowing me to pick the color from a book 3) I asked for the blond to be touched up (I had 2 inch roots) and copper put in. Never touched up any of the blond 4) only put the copper color every 2 inches and only did the top of my head. Never asked if I wanted it throughout 5) had to sluch under a heat lamp that was super short and crappy 6) Copper didn't even turn out because either never let it process long enough or picked wrong color 7) Did a cut, all of it with a Razor, no sissors!!!! Nothing was straight, looked like I had a long hair mullet. I asked for a trim. 8) Gave me a big poof. I looked like a rockstar. Honestly, I am 27 yr old mom. Not exactly what I was looking for. 9) Never realized how bad it was until I got home. The hair dressor never showed me with a mirror before I left. Maybe she knew how bad it was! 10) Paid full price and tipped when I left 11) Called to see if I could come back that afternoon to at the least, have the cut fixed. She said she couldn't fix it until the Tues. (had the cut done on Sat. morning). 12) When I went to someone else, somewhere else, they agreed that it was the worst hair cut and color. Looked like someone just came out of hair school and did my hair! I tried to talk to manager, but it appears she is never there to complain to! Never ever go there or see Christian!
