GUIDE Hair Salon is an absolute safe haven for all your hair wants and needs. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made the right salon choice after moving to a new town. Not only is the place beautiful and clean, but every stylist there is friendly and welcoming. If you've ever worried about finding a new hairstylist that won't totally butcher your hair (because I've been there), then absolutely call GUIDE to ease your mind. Abby has literally been my hair fairy godmother. I look forward to every appointment with her, not only because she makes my hair lovely again, but also because she is such a great person. I also know that Abby will 100% be transparent with me and what my hair can and can't do. She is phenomenal at what she does, so it only makes sense that she works at an exceptional salon.

I absolutely love going to see Abby at Guide. My hair is tough to work with (fine and delicate) but she does a great job at making it look amazing. She also is a great listener and communicator, taking what is often a hot mess of my ideas and building it into a cohesive style. I end up leaving the salon feeling gorgeous and for weeks and weeks after. Also, I feel safe at Guide as their cleaning and COVID protocols are top notch. They implemented mask use before it was mandatory, showing how much they actually care about customers and staff. Love them!

Guide Hair Salon is the most positive salon experience I've had in a long time. Their welcoming atmosphere is super relaxing, and all the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable! The hair stylist that I saw (Amy) was super amazing, and was able to suggest a treatment that was customized to my needs. I felt like she took the time to learn how I normally do my hair and cut it in a way that I'll be able to make it look great with my limited time and skills. So so happy with Guide and with Kassy and her assistant who did my hair! Because after two years of trying to get the “Champaign” hair I wanted at other places, bam! After showing her one pic it came out perfect! I am very picky so I am Absolutely amazed! Price was a tad higher than expected because there was some rehab to do due to the orange in my hair previously, but honestly, so worth it! Cutest customer atmosphere, with coffee and caramel popcorn and gorgeous salon. HIGHLY Recommend! Definitely will go back and Can’t thank her or them enough!

It's just a really nice experience getting your hair cut here. Even when you are waiting, they offer you things to keep you comfortable. The interior of the salon is chic and classy. I have been seeing Amy for a couple of years and she continuously outdoes herself every time I see her. She also did a scalp massage when washing my hair, and not just a quick one with the wash - a good 5-minute massage down the neck - I was almost sleeping! I will definitely go back! I showed a video of what i wanted, the end result looked nothing like it. I was told there was a “miss communication in the consultation” and that next time i should “go to a barber because they know how to cut short hair better.” I ended up getting it buzzed by the same person and the buzzcut i did at home months ago was better, it looks uneven and theres tons of stray hairs twice the length of the rest. And i was made to pay full charge. Won’t be coming back and if you have short hair DON’T go to olivia.

Abby's a great hair dresser. Basically got a girlfriend from the haircut she gave me. Not exactly but it definitely played a part. Now my girlfriend won't let me go to anyone else. Plus they have chairs that electrically recline when you go to get your hair washed. You have no idea how tiresome it is to recline yourself until after you have it done for you. Frank the dog is cool too. He doesn't like me but dogs never do.

I want to say firstly that i believe 90% of the people who work here are great people. If you are interested in working here and like the positive vibes and all that fun stuff, tread carefully. SALON CULTURE is everything. You will need to fill out numerous applications and forms about your life and where its headed and what your passions are. You may get hired and be told to book clients AND get business cards made, but don't get any sense of security just yet. You can get along with everyone and come home happy and tell your boyfriend how excited you are to work there and how it seems like you have found the perfect fit for you. But you may receive a cliff hanging email one morning about a week and a half after you start the new job telling you to cancel your clients as "they won't be needed." Upon further investigation of the email you find out that everything was a lie; the business cards, how you've been told you are awesome, and you will have to cancel your full booked week of clients. ect.. Does it matter that you moved 2.5 hours to a new city for this new job? No. SALON CULTURE is what matters most, do you know what that is before its the reason you are let go? Probably not, but maybe this will help. As i said i believe most people are very great and friendly and do great work, but somewhere there is deception and a fake smile giving you a false sense of security. Someone has lost their passion and drive in all of this, funny way to "guide" the young up and coming stylists.
