The lady that cut my hair did not speak to me the entire hair cut. She was not familiar with curly hair and spent the first five minutes trying to find her spray bottle. I was quite uncomfortable during the cut and I will not go back. I have gone to this salon in the past and the stylist I had did very well. But at my most recent visit I had a different stylist. Your experience will depend on your stylist. Choose your stylist wisely. Also the haircut is quite pricey for what you are getting.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Worst service and destroyed my hair to the point where I had to go to a different salon to fix it. She thinned my hair to the point where you could see my scalp and ears underneath and didn’t wet my hair AT ALL. It was painful, for both me and my wallet. Thanks for nothing!!

This hairdresser for my appointment had no sense of what's the proper color for me, what would look good on me and what not. Pulled my hair so violently that I thought she hated my hair so much. I would never let anyone touch my hair again like that. My hair kept falling in the entire process and it HURT a lot. I am not sure why she had to pull my hair so violently. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

Discrimination issues: they've been denying the service to my nine years old kid three times: about six weeks ago my son get lice from the school and we treated him according to the doctor recommendation, two weeks after the treatment and when he was free of lice we went there and told them that he had lice but he was ok but they denied the service arguing lice, but there's no sign or policy about that in the local; last Saturday we return again and they denied us the service again arguing that the day was totally booked so we made an appointment for the following Monday just to found out that they didn't want to do a haircut arguing lice again after six weeks and no sign of lice at all. I'm thinking that maybe is not about lice but it's because we're mexicans or Browns, right now I don't know what to think.

I put off cutting my hair for years because I always hate how it turns out. I'm very picky and particular about my hair. I decided it was time and had seen the good reviews about this place. I'm so glad I did! I had the pleasure of meeting Kelsey and she gave me exactly what I wanted!!! She kept my hair long (which was really important to me), but still managed to give it some body and put life back into it. I honestly can't remember the last time I was so happy with a haircut. 10/10 will definitely be coming back! Thank you again Big Bang Salon!!

I was looking for a new salon in the east side at a moderate price point and online booking. After reviewing stylists and Instagrams, I booked with Caitlyn (@SpookyCaitlyn) and was not disappointed. Her ability to tailor the cut and technique to my hair type and #hairgoals seemed effortless and plus she was super friendly and her green hair was rad. Other shout out to Nicole who gave my husband a perfect buzz cut - and he's very particular about them. Not a single missed hair or uneven spot and a pefect beard fade, he said the cut was "as good or maybe better than one from a high-end barbershop".

I had a men's haircut done here about a week ago. My hair is uneven on both sides, and my hair is also sticking up at the crown. The back of my head is uneven also. The haircut took maybe 10-15 minutes. There was no real effort put in. On top of that, I paid close to $30! I would stay away from this place if you want a top-notch haircut.

Advertises ladies cuts for 29 but yet charges 45 for a wash and style!? Also did my daughter's hair.. She wanted a balyage. Charged 160 and I'm not exaggerating when I say you can't even see the color in her hair! They skimp on color! It's advertised as reasonable pricing but they are not. Avoid!!

Horrible experience!!!! Hairdresser did not do what I asked her to do with my sons hair. She thinned it with thinning shears and cut it way shorter then I asked! I booked a appointment for a hair wash and cut for both of my kids she washed neither of them. Then I told her how disappointed I was and she presided to tell me she did not cut it short and that I had to remind her I made a appointment for a wash! I have been here two times before and had excellent cuts for my kids by two other stylists. So disappointed. UPDATE I contacted the salon via email and the owner offered to have another stylist fix the cut and although his hair was too thinned to put it back in the style he had, I was given a gift certificate. She also fixed my daughters hair which was uneven and needed quite a bit off to make it look right. The stylist was very professional and did a great job. I would recommend Nicole! She was fantastic!

I’ve always been happy with my cut and when I have issues trying to style it at home they have told me to stop by and they gladly would show me how to style it properly. The atmosphere was nice, and the person who made my appointment was super nice. However the stylist i received was not as upbeat and ruined the mood. The biggest thing that annoys me however is the fact that i just got a normal trim, a normal men’s haircut it took less than 15 minutes. It cost me $28 before tip!!!!! Thats an insane amount for a men’s trim. I normally pay $15 or less, even at other local mom and pop salons, i have NEVER paid more than $20 and thats after a 20% tip. There isnt even a chart that says the prices (or if there is it was out of sight). The price is VERY high and honestly, i wish i could say the whole experience was worth it(it is still a nice experience) but the fact that the price is so high for men’s trim it ruined it.

My husband took my 7 year old for a cut. My son enjoys getting his hair cut and sits perfectly still. They pay $25, come home. I look at his hair. There is a full inch difference between the right side of his hair and the left. Even the front isn't straight. This is the haircut he'll have for school pictures. I'm very disappointed. We will never go back

I have been to so many hair salons over the years looking for a hair dresser that would get me. At big bang hair salon, Nicole is that girl! I can walk in with no idea or something off pinterest it doesn't matter because she will work with me to help me get what I want! She is incredibly knowledgeable. She is also amazing at styling hair and I often go to her just for her to curl my hair for no real special occasion. All the ladies at big bang hair salon are welcoming and I love going there! I took my 2.5 year old in for his first professional haircut and it was great. We saw Kelsey and she was awesome with him. Booking online was easy with lots of availability, and there was no wait when we arrived for the appointment. The cut only took about ten minutes which was perfect and it turned out really cute.
