The service is excellent from the moment you walk in (coffee, tea, wine, etc.) and Deb is the best!!! She has always made me look fantastic, through both my long and short hair phase. Is honest about whether or not the style of cut you are looking for will suit you or you can just leave it up to her and you look great all the time. I like the fact that you know how much everything is going to cost you as you get a price quote/chit that you review and sign off on so there can't be any squabbling after the fact. Excellent products, fun staff!

I have been going to this hair salon a long time, along with some of my family members. While the salon uses great quality products and the hairstylists are talented - the high prices reflect this. However, you get what you pay for - and while the prices are typically higher than most salons, I have continued to go back. As a regular customer, along with my fiance, aunt and cousin for years - I expect not to be taken advantage of the way they just did this week. I had a graduation today for a masters degree - a very special and expensive vacation. I went in for a consult the week prior and was quoted at $250.00 for Ellumen hair dye and a haircut and style. I was told that Ellumen is more expensive so I signed the sheet for $250.00, as I said, knowing this salon is expensive. When I showed up for my actually appointment, again the hairstylist showed me a sheet with a quote for $299.00 stating, and I quote, "this is the worst case scenario price" as she said she didnt think i would need 150 ml of Ellumen hair dye, and that the lady cutting my hair was 10 dollars cheaper. I signed it. SO here's the part where I was raped. I had the hair dye applied to my hair and once I was under the dryer with the dye already on my head - the hair stylist told me that she had to use an entire bottle of Elumen - which is 50 ml more, and my price would be $350.00. She then proceeded to cut a large portion of my hair off as requested. Taxes in - grand total of $411.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's half a grand for a hair dye and cut and blow dry!!!!! My warning is - BEWARE OF THE ESTIMATE PRICE - THEY MEAN NOTHING AS THEY WILL CHARGE MORE ANYWAYS. Secondly, they should do the hair cut first because she wouldn't have had to use the extra 50 ml on my hair that she just cut right off anyways. I left the salon in tears.

I had a fantastic experience at Three Small Rooms Hair Salon! I had an absolutely horrible experience at another Barrie Hair Salon and I needed immediate help to fix my hair. Three Small Rooms Hair Salon had me in within 24 hours and did a spectacular job fixing my hair! They walked me through everything they were going to do with my hair and they educated me on hair products that would help to grow my hair long and keep it looking healthy. Yes, Three Small Rooms Hair Salon may seem more expensive than other Hair Salons however you pay for outstanding quality and trust. I have already booked my next hair appointment with Three Small Rooms Hair Salon because they treated me so well!

Three Small Rooms Hair Salon is a high-end, successful brand for many reasons. Not only are they an award winning salon, but their client experience and company culture are one of the best I've seen, bar none. Here are some things that made the salon stand out for me: 1. Greeted by Meghan with a big smile. I got a tour... Each room is decorated to the nine with lovely mirrors, lighting and chairs, all adding to the overall feel of the place. 2. I was offered tea/coffee/boos/food, several times! (I had 2 teas and a coffee!!! Thank goodness for bathrooms.) 3. While I waiting for my appointment, I sat in a beautiful, stylish seating area. 4. Suzanne took the time to consult with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. 5. Head massages, spa music 6. Staff members checking in with me to say hi and make conversation every 20 minutes 7. Complimentary make up application as soon as my hair was done 8. Goody bag to take home for my first visit 9. Email follow up from the salon after my appt to check in with me, asking how my hair style is working out for me, how my experience was and what they could be doing better Thank you Suzanne and Staff for being a great example for what the ultimate brand experience is all about.

Came in today for a moderate mens cut. Stylist had little advice or stylistic opinion to what might look good for me, despite my indicating right away I wasn't sure what sure what to go with. Had a ton of hair to work with, some photo's for idea but still ended up with your machine trimmed standard short on the sides, little longer than normal on the top thinned out cut. Nothing really spectacular for $38.00!!!

3 small rooms is by far the best salon I have ever been to. The staff is just simply incredible. My hair is very thick and extremely hard to work with but Halley is the most fabulous blonde specialist who always does a top notch job and makes me feel so comfortable during my visit. The head massages during shampooing are HEAVEN and the hand massages make me never want to leave. I have NEVER been disappointed by any of the staff in my many years of going there and I HIGHLY recommended their services! Thanks guys, can't wait to see you sooner than later :)

One of the worst hair experiences I have had was $400 they did not do what i asked for at all, I went back to get the cut fixed it's not any better and they would not fix the highlights unless I paid again even though they didnt do what I asked. Management said they aren't stylists so they dont know what happened. Wast of $400 not happy at all. To the owner I did do the consult, I was not once told it had to be done over time, or it couldn't be done in any way, I was told "it is going to look great, and so different" brittany did it wrong. You as an owner should listen to clients and help fix problems not make up stories, and reasons as to why it was done wrong. Take responsibility like every other salon does when mistakes happen

This salon was my worst hair experience that I’ve ever encountered. When I show people my hair they can not believe how I was treated from Three small rooms management. This salon is supposed to be high end, however it is not at all what they portray themselves to be. My hair is a disaster and now after ruining my hair with highlights that bled and then trying to fix and making them look even worse like a leopard. I was blamed for my hair that it was because of my hair that my highlights bled during their process which everyone knows that is only the studio fault and could have easily been fixed at the sink. Regardless a customer should never be made to feel this way ever. My cost was $550 and my hair is in a state. The unprofessional Management Staff chose to ignore my emails with pictures of my hair which is extremely arrogant. The front desk staff has never been friendly when paying for any of my expensive services. When I went to have it fixed as I did understand these things happen the second time I went in the colour was still not fixed and as you can see from pictures it was leopard like spots on my blonde. This experience has shocked me and I will never return to this salon. I do love Halley but as for the salon I would suggest everyone avoid this salon like the plague. From the amount I spent the colour should have been refunded

I just had my root colour corrected and my hair styled by Halley, and it looks amazing! I was referred, but didn't have any expectations going into the appointment. My visit exceeded everything I was looking for. I loved the first initial greeting with my stylist where we talked about what they thought would work. Her choices did not disappoint! I would recommend Three Small Rooms to anyone who is looking for a comfortable experience, knowledgable stylists and great results.

I was hesitant about posting a negative review for a couple months now because the people at 3 small rooms are so nice, however the quality of work is atrocious. I paid $120 for a haircut from the owner and here is what I got: I asked for 3 inches, she cut off about 7 inches. My haircut is choppy and uneven, I went to another salon after to fix it. I had several stylists tell me how choppy my hair is. The wash and haircut took 2 hours, she legitimately cut and talked while my hair got shorter and shorter, getting more and more uneven. Helen Keller would’ve done a better job listening and cutting.

I’ve seen two hair stylists who were both great at their job, and made my hair look just the way I wanted. The reason for deducting two stars is that the front desk, especially Ashlyn, although semi-friendly to your face, complain a lot for everyone to hear. Every time I’ve been in, I hear them complain about various things and it does not make me want to be there. I have heard them complain about clients, as well as their own personal issues. I come to the salon for a relaxing experience, and I think they should be a little more professional. I understand people have things going on and not every client is a joy. But be aware of your surroundings and who can hear you.

I have been a long-time customer at Three Small Rooms. I find the service is hit and miss. My highlights and lowlights did not match up with my existing treatments. They were started too high on the crown so that a big dark hole appears when there is a breeze. The highlights were over processed and I don’t see any of the lowlights. The foils were blotchy and there are horizontal bleach lines at the start of each foil. My cut looked better before my appointment and any lift I had is now gone, the over processing made my hair crispy. My biggest disappointment is that my concerns have been brushed off in the past. I think I can find better service elsewhere for my $250 appointments.

I went to this high end salon twice. Both times I asked for a junior stylist, which I have done many many times at other salons. Both times I had to come home and cut small sections of hair that she missed so I felt like there was a lack of attention to detail. On my second visit I had a toner and a haircut, along with some waxing services. I was talked into buying some product as well. Not a big deal, except they add the whole bill together and when I chose to tip by percent I realized I had tipped on the cost of the products too. My very expensive mistake! The toner came out pink not lavender like I wanted, but the colour wasn’t as bad as the streakiness and unevenness. After a week I called the salon because my hair was so uneven I couldn’t manage it. One side was cut completely blunt and the other side was tapered in so it looked really weird when I styled it myself. Dealing with Ashley on the phone was pretty unpleasant and she really has a lot of learn about customer service. Her attitude is unfriendly, snotty and was not at all apologetic. Despite that I did go back to have Nicole fix the cut for me and she was very good. It’s too bad because this is a nice place…but I won’t be going back. A couple of things to improve would be to have a place for clients to place their purses besides on the dirty floor, and offer a coffee or water like other high end salons do. Don’t waste your money here. Overall they are rude and pretentious and have a long way to go when it comes to customer service.

Had my hair cut here the other day. This was my second time here as I'm trying to find a new place. My first cut a few months ago was ok, but this experience was awkward. My stylist seemed tired, and seemed puzzled by what to do. I rely on a stylist to be creative but aware of the person in the chair. She cut and chopped and when I said it seemed too short she advised me that maybe another stylist would be better for me. It was like she gave up and was aware our session had gone wrong. I've never had a stylist say anything like that before. Hey, hair grows back, but I won't be returning to 3 small rooms.
