I give up! Since La Baie opened the service has always been horrible. NO SERVICE. Employees are never at their station. If you need to find help look between the clothing racks. They’re normally hidding there chit chatting or playing on their cell phone. UPDATE: 2021-09-03 at 11:11 zero greeting from the staff. All had their head down and chatting to each other and seem reluctant to work… So I Went back today to look at shoes for my daughter. The employee at the cash was still counting her loose change for the cash register. It was 11:15 AM. I patiently waited until she was done before approaching her. When I ask her if you could help me check a size and availability of this shoe on the display, she told me she could NOT and inform me to go to the customer services counter for such inquiry. I was perplexed and questioned if it was normal that in the shoe department she could not verify on the computer the size and availability of a shoe. She brushed me off and encouraged me to see customer service because she really can’t do anything for me. I gave it another chance but now La Baie Lasalle never again!

I don't normally shop here, but I earned $75 in store credit through Samsung Pay promotions 3x $25 egift cards. Funny thing is their terminals are probably so outdated they don't even do tap & pay. Lol. I found it a bit difficult to find any deals & anything I wanted to spend my credit on, ended up overpaying for a few items, but it was basically free, so who cares.

More often than not I leave here frustrated...why I continue to give it a chance is questionable... Was approached by staff member asking if we needed help, we said yes, she directed us to another department to have the item we wanted ordered, as they were out of stock in the color we wanted. We waited in line for 15 minutes or so, when it was our turn the guy working told us he was unable to order it for us. I told him that makes no sense, I was able to order it from home, but chose to come in to see if I could get it same day. He told us that the system wouldn't allow him to pick a different color. I think he just didn't know how. This wouldn't be all that bothersome if we hadn't literally been brought over to this cash desk for this very purpose by another employee who said it was absolutely possible. We've had many things ordered for us, clothing, perfume, small appliances...why this wasn't possible this occasion was odd...so we went home and ordered it....from another company.

I was looking at a particular shirt, but couldn't find the size i approach one of the ladies that worked there (Persian looking) and asked her if she could help me find the size... She immediately responded that's only one we don't have anymore sir... Which I responded by saying how can you be sure you haven't checked the computer... I then walked around the bay found another associate,, asked her to check the system and she found 8 more item in that sizes of that particular shirt.... Terrible experience. Won't visit this branch anymore

small location, not the best looking or the cleanest. understaffed. BUT if you're a smart shopper and look at clearance items, they have some of the BEST deals if you get lucky and find something you like, that's your size. the staff is really nice if you're patient, which a lot of people aren't. Also, they aren't going to hold your hand the whole time. you have to know what you want and just look through what they have. Lines are long.. but guess what, they're always long. at every bay. especially at peak hours. it just depends if you get lucky enough to catch a cashier while its not busy. otherwise blame the lines on the people who don't bring receipts or have multiple returns. i shop regularly at the bay at many locations in toronto and at the front of every long line is someone who is doing a return or a price adjustment on 3 separate bills. a little secret that i use, is to just pay in cosmetics. most of the time, if they arent busy with a customer they can cash you out immediately (works at every bay)

Store is only on 1 floor now, but still lots of variety. Had difficulty finding the checkout but staff was super helpful so I gave 5 stars. The helpful staff made the difference. The clothes we bought were pretty good too.

We got a beautiful real leather couch, however the delivery was a horrible process where they basically made us take multiple days off work because they were guessing at the delivery date. Instead of placating us, we would have just appreciated a 1 phone call with the real delivery date. Instead we got rid of our old couch to prepare too early thanks to these wish washy guesses and ended up sitting on an air mattress for over a month while being told every other week "maybe next week". Very bad handling of the situation. I don't care it took a while because of covid, but I do care I was lied to just to placate me and ended up sitting on the ground.

I will give The Bay five stars for some of their superb sales throughout the year. The negative stars are due to a very cluttered, confusing and unappealing set up of their inventory - especially their clothing inventory. And most of the staff are not helpful or genuinely polite.

If i could give -5 starts i will. My aunts shops here at least 3x a week. This is like their second home. Most employees are nice especially Jennifer (associate manager), Myrtle and Cindy (associates). One of my aunt went shopping here last Sunday (November 28) one associate Mori assumed that my aunt was stealing, my aunt was shopping around like a normal person, Mori then told one of the supervisors (LP =the term that The Bay uses) Sooki, Sooki then followed my aunt around the entire store. My aunt went to the cashier to pay. Sooki then confronted my aunt said “we talked already before this is the second time”. That was the first time my aunt saw him. He assumed my aunt was a different person and assumed she was stealing. Not only You, Sooki made my Aunts blood pressure’s high but YOU DID NOT APOLOGIZED. You walked out and went hiding. What you did was not protocol, what you did was unprofessional and inappropriate, you’re a coward for running away instead of apologizing. You can NEVER accused someone of stealing until they walk out of the store with the unpaid items. My aunt was literally in the cashier IN LINE trying to wait for her turn and pay for $10 socks she’s going to buy my nephew. You call yourself an LP but yall just a bunch of untrained people just after the title of being a supervisor? Very Unprofessional and such a coward move.

Pretty disappointing selection of everything. Clothing all seems very boxy and unflattering. Never seem to have new or higher end perfumes in stock. Prices are very high on clothing. Staff cannot figure out how to process returns of items purchased online (even though the website boasts about easy in-store returns). Everything about The Bay just feels very outdated.

I have had mostly positive experiences shopping with The Bay in terms of quality, and when they have a sale, it's real. I am rooting for the company to stay in business. There is something really wrong with their website, it's consistently slow to load pages, and managing my cart is a nightmare. It takes a long time to delete anything. It is 2021, why is the website so archaic? I also agree with someone else who posted, paying $8 per individual online purchase is unreasonable compared to other competitors.

Purchased a Natuzzi sofa in St. Catherine's. The salesperson was wonderful! However, when the sofa was delivered it had a defect in the leather on one of the seats. (Hard lump). I called the Customer Service number which takes you to the Philippines. All that I could hear during my first call was chickens and roosters in the background. I then was asked to send photos of the couch. I did everything I was asked. Then we had a call saying it was approved for return. We then waited for a call for our new delivery of the return. Never got the call. Then I had to call numerous times after that. Several calls were disconnected due to bad phone lines. Always in the Philippines. The latest now is that a Natuzzi rep will come to our house and I have to give them more information. The couch was purchased on August 1st and it is now September 14th. Still not resolved. There is no contact number in Canada to talk to Customer Service. They will not transfer you to a Manager either. Very disappointed and will never by a large purchase from Hudson Bay again.

Protective mattress cover came in two sizes too small. I got a queen size bed with a twin size sheet. This case was made out for someone else, so they messed up TWO people's orders. It took forever to get a hold of the right department to help with this. They told me it will take 2 weeks for the order to come in by mail. So.. if I'm paying a grand for a mattress, why do I have to wait so long for a replacement protective case when THEY made the mistake. I don't understand the appeal of the Bay. They are so slow and overrated. Honestly will never make any other purchases there again. Customer service was sassy, rude and unsympathetic. Bought a mattress, sales associate was great.

Bad Customer Service at The Bay I have almost lived in this area for 12 years and have shopped at Centrepoint mall and Hudson’s Bay for the same amount of years. The customer service has not improved at this Bay location - preCovid or post. It is still a 2 star rating because it takes forever to check out and pay at the cashier. Either there is lack of staff or the cash register is broken. Today, I waited at least 20 minutes to pay for a jacket. It was ridiculous. This bad customer service is in the Ladies’ wear and intimates area. I will be sure to avoid this location from now on.

Everything that was spread out over 2 floors is now crammed onto the main floor as the 2nd floor is inaccessible due to construction. To say it's a cluster???? would be an understatement. It also seems like less in the way of men's clothing due to the cramming. Wasn't even able to find a single pair of socks. When the stock was spread out on 2 floors, there was a huge selection of socks for men, now the "socks section" is reduced to a short cart with only a few shelves stocked. Looking for winter hats? Forget it, go to Hillcrest Mall instead. Very disappointed in what's done to this Bay location, during the busiest time of year no less.

They don't actually know when the item you ordered will be delivered. They'll just call you the day before delivery, to tell you it's been rescheduled. Then they'll call you again two weeks later to tell you it's been rescheduled again. Rinse and repeat. Wasting everyone's time and energy.

Transparency: while I consistently seek the good in most everything, the Bay is no longer the wonderful shopping experience it once was. I visited a physical Bay store today, after 3+ months of miserable experience trying to buy and send... a $100 Bay gift card, online... to a couple duly registered ... In the Bay's official wedding registry... to repeatedly find... each time (and only after re entering all the info and pressing pay) that the Bay is consistently out of stock of their own Bay gift cards!?!?!? And calling the Bay customer service phone reps confirms they are based somewhere else in the world and have no interest or access tools to help. Finally, seeking in person support, I physically went into this Bay store, a landmark location in Toronto (Yonge+ Steeles). Even after I showed them clear screen shots of the Bay wedding registry payment screen, showing the out of stock gift card, for 3 months... there was zero interest to help. Why? Because they claimed this Bay store has no access to the Bay wedding registry! They suggested I go to ANOTHER Bay store, 'in case they had access' ?!?!? If none of this is making sense, imagine what 3+ months of this feels like!!! After declaring I'd escalate this, someone came from behind the cashiers to say she'd help if I could give them the registry #. I referred them back to the Bay screen shots which had been displayed to them this entire time, but none they found, had the registry #. The screen shots clearly did show the wedding party name, my name and my Bay rewards account #. So now, we had achieved nothing after 20 minutes into the in-store episode of this Bay-created and Bay-fueled fiasco. Minutes later, while I was frantically still fumbling with my phone to search for the registry #, yet another store person showed up, with a printed copy of the correct registry, and a Bay gift card. So 3 months and much aggravation later, with still zero explanation or empathy from anyone at the Bay, I paid for the $100 gift card, but now am on my own to get it, embarrassingly late, to the now-married 3 months couple, in Montreal. Respectfully, I will think twice about shopping at the Bay. .

This evening I had an exceptionally poor customer service experience at Hudson's Bay Centrepoint Mall. I dealt with two associates who don't seem to know anything about anything at all. What little merchandise there is in sales departments is poorly presented and organized with most items in menswear displayed with incorrect hanger size tags. This locations certainly doesn't meet Hudson's Bay standards.

Finally...a beautiful, new store to rival all the other stores in this mall. I hope the modern touches in this Bay store inspire the rest of them to upgrade, as well. In my opinion, ALL the other Bay stores in the Montreal area should take a lesson from the progressive, modern approach in design, of this particular store. I love the use of plants, displayed here and there and the big windows, allowing in some natural light. Also, the ventilation system is top notch. Ever notice how other Bay stores feel stuffy? Well, not here. Air quality makes a huge difference in how one feels, while shopping. This store has great ambiance. I love the tall ceilings. The store is candy for the eye, as well. The lighting makes everything ????twinkle and shine????. Congratulations, to The Bay, at The Angrignon Mall, in LaSalle, on a job well done. This is, by far, the nicest Bay store I've ever gone to. I give 5 stars to Beverly in fragrances department for her outstanding customer service in this Hudson’s Bay location. She helped me to do refund with my items which I ordered online and if she weren’t there I probably had to go to Yorkdale mall. Overall the departments were clean, the associates were very helpful and polite. Selections are very limited even compared to other stores of the company close by. Staff are generally helpful but they certainly do not seem to enjoy what they're doing. The Bay has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered! I ordered 6 items from Hudson Bay for mother’s day. Hudson Bay sent me five separate emails for shipping confirmations. They are sending each item separately which is absolutely insane and after all, they sent another email that the main item is sold out. If you can’t organize your inventory and update your website then stop offering online order and wasting my time. You had to inform me of the Sold out item before you sent me the rest of the items. I called the customer service to request a return. They kept me on hold for more than an hour and then they hang up on me. I can’t believe this is how they treat their customers. In closing, if you want unreliable, disorganized, untrustworthy, horrible customer service and be kept on hold for an hour and end up frustrated and disappointed go to the Bay!

When there to purchase a dress for a wedding and there’s no one there to assist with questions about size, selection and availability. There needs to be more staff in place to provide the experience that their prices reflect. They are expensive and this is not reflected in the customer experience and in the availability of staff. The same thing happened at the Yorkdale location, no staff! Why are department stores not retaining good staff to ensure that their customers have a good experience ?

I never put makeup on unless there's a very special occasion for it, so when I do get it done I always need to mentally adjust when I see myself. I have been to 3 different HBC stores in Ontario this month, they ALL told me "just go online" when I couldn't find ties, shoes, shirts, suits ... products which NEED to be tried on to fit. Also worth mentioning they never took care of a fraudulent charge that randomly showed up on my unused HBC Credit card. They then proceeded to ignore the fraud and attack my credit score. For better or for worse I have not been able to receive economic stimulus loans over that past decade.

We were told they had a limited number of pieces. False advertising more like it. Then we went to on line store, place the order. We decided to brave the crowds yesterday Saturday December 29th so we went online to check the hours of The Bay in Barrie Ontario and saw both they and the GEORGIAN MALL were open until 9pm. We arrived shortly after 6pm to find the mall closed as well as The Bay. There were signs posted on the doors inside the mall to The Bay that listed their hours to be until 9pm Saturday December 29th and Sunday December 30th. So we walked around outside to the external entrance doors to The Bay to fund them locked as well. There was a manager letting staff out and when we questioned him about the website and the signs that had stuck to their doors his response was " ya but we're still closed"....I find it hard to believe his response not to mention both The Bays and Georgian Malls social media team could not have updated their hours on Google!! We drove over an hour to only have to turn around and go home....a complete waste of time and lack of empathy from staff of The Bay!

Lad won't let me into a changing room with my wife to see she looks without the whole store seeing her. She says only boutique and luxury stores allow that. There are helpful salespeople here, but it's generally a mixed bag or hit and miss. The star employee here is Gina, if my memory serves correctly. She's the workhorse here who is always doing her best to keep the store clean. Always friendly, helpful and kind. The selection is fine for a smaller Bay location. The renovations years ago hurt customer service with only 1-2 registers open. If you come at a busy time, expect a long wait or walk to another department to pay. Most of their price sku checkers are also broken.3-3.5/5. Depends on the department, and the salesperson.

Not a lot of variety anymore on clothing, most things are high end and unaffordable..unless something is on sale I cant afford it!! Often I've seen the exact same items at other shops for alot less. Can never find an associate for assistance either, except for in the shoe department...even then, I have to approach THEM and ask for help. Assistance is Never just offered like in smaller stores

Nice store. However, I visited on Sunday. first, there was no customer service. was in the men's section as well as the men's show section. secondly, It was very difficult to locate a cash register. Someone walked by me and I asked if they knew where the register was and the response was "good question" and then pointed me in the direction. i don't have a problem with someone pointing me towards a register, but I think it's a problem when the employees are not sure where the registers are located. the last thing that happened, is the reason I am writing this review. I purchased a pair of shoes. I went to the womens shoe section to pay. they charge me, I pay. after I pay, they tell me they have no bags. I had to carry the shoes I bought (no bags, no box) in my hands. really? anyway, pretty turned off by the bag thing.
