My appointment at Gravity with Paul Riska was the best salon appointment I've had in years! He did a beautiful silver transformation on my pink stained hair, from the shadow root to the gorgeous cut I cannot explain how pleased I am with the final result. Paul was a joy to be around and the long appointment seemed to fly by! I can't wait to come back to get my extensions coloured.

I came here today for a balayage with Stacey, and left with this mess in tears. They did not dry my hair at the salon so I could not see what happened before I paid. I asked for a refund, but Ivo told me that they would not give me my money back, and that they would just look at my hair again. I went to another salon to get this fixed the same day, as I do not trust them with my hair. How could you let someone walk out of there like this? If they have it in their heart, the right thing to do would to at least refund some of what I paid. It is not worth $240. I DON'T RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!

My girlfriend and myself have used Gravity Salon and Spa since it has opened and we both absolutely love it. It is a very relaxing and welcoming environment. Our Stylist, Ivo, has a wealth of knowledge in hair colouring, styling and anything else you could ever want to do to hair. He listens well and our hair always comes out looking amazing. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Ivo, or any of the stylists at Gravity Salon and Spa whether you're a man, woman or child. You'll love the experience and the prices are very affordable compared to some of the salons my girlfriend has visited in the past!

I just got a haircut with Paul and he was super enthusiastic and was very knowledgeable on all hair cutting techniques and the options I had to style my hair with. I did not run into any problems and the place was super welcoming by giving me and my mom a beverage upon coming in on our reservation. I would come again. Ask for Paul when making a reservation as he is very knowledgeable at hair cutting and very expertise when it comes to styling.

Had my hair done by Paul in June and I have to say that I definitely recommend him! He’s fun, passionate and professional. I’ve always had balayage treatment done for my hair and I love to go for different colours each time, and to be honest I was worried if he could handle my extremely thick hair and how dark it is naturally as I was looking for green ombre. He explained very professionally what he planned to do to achieve the result I would like and there was no sugar coating on that-my dark hair isn’t suitable for all kinds of hair dye to do its maximum effect so he explained to me why he thought a different shade of green would be better- and it worked amazingly! I love my green ombré, and the haircut he did for me was also very nice- layers are just the way I want! One more thing I need to mention is that Paul was so passionate about transforming my hair that he stayed at the shop for me( I was the last appointment) till very late, not minding that everyone else had left already, which I felt really bad for but he was just so passionate and dedicated to my hair. I’ve been meaning to write a good review for him for two months but have been insanely busy-yet never forgot cause every time I see my hair I remind myself to write a review sometime lol.

I would like to thank Esther, for my perm which I believe was done on August 27th . I was not exactly pleased with it at the time and she went out and beyond to make me feel better. I thank her for that. After I got home and started playing with it more I realized just how much I did like it. I can actually wet it and run. It is with a heavy heart I post this but also to serve as a cautionary tale to anyone choosing IVO if you are a brunette looking to go lighter.....I painstakingly choose him due to his many advertised credentials as a “Senior Master Colourist & GOLDWELL TEACHER” How could HE screw up? So I trusted him when I decided to embark on my lightening journey. I was completely transparent with him that I had been box dying my hair for awhile.....but I was also very CLEAR that the integrity of my hair was of the upmost importance and that if he can’t complete the task of what I was looking for than just be straight up about it. I was actually looking to go silver/grey. He was adamant he could do it. I knew the texture would change somewhat, but nothing could of prepared me for the inevitable outcome! I trusted his expertise. Not only was he rushing around all stressed out from overbooking his time (which he did every time) he ignored my timer and I had to go get the receptionist to let him know (I was nervous) When he came back and rinsed it out and noticed I still had a stubborn area that was not lifting and said it needs a bit more, so he reapplied the bleach to this area and I trusted him. The timer went off but yet again I sat there waiting for a few minutes..... This was key....it was the fine hair that trims your face and it was fried to a crisp! (Beyond repair) Sadly I still returned. He said that toner (lumina) actually makes your hair look healthier the more you do it.....fast forward a couple of toner treatments..... my hair had no way to recover. I had to get it all chopped off and as short as it was cut, some damage still remains. (I now have a pixie cut) but initially had long hair, then a bob (thinking that would fix it) I have had to buy wigs to gain any sense of confidence due to this experience. Needless to say, don’t be fooled by “voted #1 best salon or Titles of experience....they can still screw up your hair.

The salon was a great experience from the point of calling for an appointment to walking back out the door. With current restrictions measures were all taken at the salon and I felt comfortable to take my children in for new hair cuts. Esther was amazing at bringing my daughters hair back to life and provided a great cut and style after. She was so kind to engage with my child and also provide suggestions on caring for her hair in the future. My other daughter was smiling ear to ear as we left. Paul did a great job listening to my daughter's wishes to make her request for some colourful tips come to life! We will def. be back in the future.
