Shapes is an amazing salon! I have been going there from when I lived in Barrie many years ago. I moved over an hour away and I still make the drive out because I love the staff, environment and of course my stylist Michelle. She is always up on trends, does such a great job and it is such a lovely experience just being there. I always book Michelle for my regular hair colour & cuts but also for events, weddings and even photo shoots. I would highly recommend Shapes to anyone who is looking for a professional, talented and affordable place to get their hair done.

The ladies at Charisma Hair Studio are so friendly and welcoming. Since moving a few years ago I could never find a good hair salon. My sister recommended Jill from Charisma after her amazing experiences . The first time I went to her I was on my way to a large dinner gala and let me tell you Jill went above and beyond to make sure not only was I happy with my haircut, but also made sure my hair was done to the nines for this event. I just moved to the area in November of last year and was looking for a new hair stylist. I came across Jill’s social media and loved her work. Long story short, after a few rescheduled appointments because of lockdowns, I finally got to see her and WOW she was amazing! Not only did she keep in touch with me throughout the stay at home order, but she did an amazing job with my hair. It’s the exact colour I wanted, blended beautifully and I am so happy :) (The salon was also super well organized with COVID protocols that made me feel super safe!)

I went in for my first haircut since having my baby in December. With hair loss and constant mom buns, things were looking a little ragged and I needed a professional! Martina was wonderful and talked me through my options, helping me decide on a lob that would be light for summer, hide my thin spots, and could still be put up if needed. I love the new look, and I appreciated the advice and professionalism! Martina really knows what she's doing, and has a great team around her. I highly recommend going here for your next cut!

Oh. My. Goodness. I think I found my new go-to hair salon. As someone who only gets their hair cut once a year (maybe), I’d consider getting it cut much more often just to enjoy coming to Charisma. I cannot give this salon enough stars! I have spent years and years looking for the perfect stylist. I’ve had so many bad haircuts and hair dyes, but then I found charisma! Jill was my stylist and I can’t rave about her enough! She made me feel so welcomed and relaxed, not to mention she completly boosted my confidence by giving me the BEST hair transformation ever. Jill was amazing!!! I went in to see her for a haircut for my first time at the studio. I told her we could do something new or just trim, but whatever she though was best. I’m sure most stylists would want to play it safe having a new client there, but Jill suggested a big change and chop. She was very adamant that it would be a lot cut off and made sure I was comfortable with it. And I couldn’t have been happier that she did this. The cut left me feeling physically lighter and brighter than when I walked in. I didn’t just look like a new person, I felt like one. I also love Jill’s professionalism and her personality. I was very happy with my experience at Charisma and will most definitely be going back!

I honestly cannot give this place enough stars! The staff are absolutely amazing! Especially Rebecca! The moment you walk in you are greeted by a caring, fun charismatic group of ladies. They are all so easy to talk to and make you feel comfortable. They listen to what you want and will give you honest feedback and will create a masterpiece with your hair. The products they use truly refresh your hair so that the silky look you get lasts longer then the next wash. Rebecca is my stylist and I absolutely adore her! She has a great personality and she makes my hair look amazing every time! She has done several different colours on my hair and each one I leave beyond impressed with her magic. One of the best parts of this salon is that all the ladies have their different backgrounds in hair, colour,make up etc and you often hear them collaborating to ensure you get the best results!

I had a wonderful experience at Charisma Salon. The building was easy to find and only a short drive from the Highway, and there is ample parking. I was greeted immediately by the friendly staff who made me feel very comfortable, like old friends. Becca, my stylist, was great! She took the time to actually listen to what I wanted done, unlike previous experiences at other salons where the stylist just nods “uh-huh” robotically. I felt like Becca took the time to actually look at my hair, hear what I was saying, and discuss the best options. I know that I can be very demanding so it felt great to actually be heard. She respected my personal styling regime (no products) and made my haircut work for my hair. My experiences at other salons have been that the stylist would straighten my wavy hair while cutting it, which always ends up a mess because my hair is not straight, and should be cut in it’s natural wavy state. Becca obviously has a lot of experience working with a variety of hair styles and textures, and my hair looks wonderful. She was also able to keep my bangs at a perfect length where they don’t get bothered by my glasses but can still be pulled into a bun (a necessity for a mom on the go). The whole experience at Charisma was awesome, and felt like a real treat rather then a nervous “oh god I hope this looks good after”. I highly suggest this salon for everybody, and if you are lucky enough to get Becca as your stylist you will be in great hands!

Do not go here if you have curly hair. Unfortunately they are not knowledgeable in cutting or styling curls. It has been over a week since my cut and I'm still devastated. The interior of the salon was very nice and the stylist was very lovely as well.

Don’t waste your hard earned money and time here. There are plenty of other reputable salons in Barrie at a better price and quality. They bleached my hair and I left with orange hair.. and they left a huge strip of dark roots? They left the bleach on far too long and now my hair is falling out. Went to another salon and they told me that they chemically damaged my hair. 400$+tip later and I’m left with orange, cotton candy like hair. Thanks!

Not a pleasant experience. The hairdresserwas rushed. Burnt my scalp with the hair dryer a number of times. My hair was getting pulled as well, because she was not gentle or careful. She didn't take her time with the cut at all. She also left me for awhile to help another hairdresser cut someone else's hair. That's terrible customer service. Plus when I first got there she was too busy talking, making me wait past the time of my appointment. I'll never go back.

I was shocked with my total when i made sure to ask in advance about prices before deciding to go to that salon. Half a head of Highlights i was told (in person-not just over the phone) $89.99 i assumed maybe a bit more if they used a treatment or something but my total was $185. Never ever, for half a head have i paid that... The cut was good but the colour i am not so impressed with. Ill be getting my hair coloured again because im not happy...
