This was definitely one of the best hair experiences I've had in a very long time. I got my hair done by Tanisha, from the Danforth location. She listened very patiently on what I wanted to do with my hair, offered some suggestions, and off we went. Her skills are excellent, and very efficient. Usually if I want to change my hair colour, I've sat in the chair for up to 3-4 hours. Tanisha was very fast and very good, and finished the bleaching in around 2 hours - wow. The hair-wash was amazing, and after all of the shampooing, my hair felt so rejuvenated. Tanisha trimmed my hair, gave me a blow-out and even curled it! Tanisha did a very good job with the blow-out and was very thorough. I didn't expect such patience. She definitely took her time where it was needed. Let me say that my hair didn't even feel like what I was used to after my trip to the hair salon today. How amazingly soft and stunning my hair was - I was in absolute shock - I didn't even know my hair could feel the way it did. This was my appointment to Twin Image, but I will definitely return in the future. The salon feels such high class - offering clients coffee, water, tea (and even wine - HAHA). I'm so happy that I got my hair done my Tanisha. I STRONGLY recommend this place, and get your hair done by Tanisha. The service was amazing, the salon was nice and clean, and I will definitely return again!

I hadn't had my hair cut in a few years because I had always had negatve experiences. Nicole put me at ease and gave me my first cut in forever where I didn't leave in tears! She treats my thick, frizzy, wavy hair so well! I just went back for my first set of highlights which I am officially addicted to! I never want my hair to be without highlights again! Lol Nicole and the other staff make you feel at home and the salon is insanely nice! I feel like a million bucks when I walk out - unfortunately it is quite pricey! $300 later though, and I can't say it wasn't totally worth it!

This is an amazing location since it's close by my place and most importantly the stylist here are so professional. My first appointment was scheduled with Britney before Covid happened. And of course everything was put on hold during covid. Post covid, they did follow up with email alerts and reminders which was helpful. I booked using their online system and though I had some challenges, they were great to offer an assistance via email and very efficient. I arrived really early at 8am and everyone was so friendly and courteous. They also followed all proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures during and after. Love it!! Britney was very professional and also great as she listens and I reckon all stylists here does their homework before meeting their clients and go through again on the day itself. So, Kudos to Nick the owner for training such awesome stylists and for them working here. He's doing a good job! I was seated beside another customer and another stylist name Katerina and she was also very professional and advising her customer who obviously have a great relationship with her. They really know what they're doing here! Britney is great for what her portfolio on instagram and on website states and she is transparent. I love how natural my hair colour and cut turned out. She is also willing to share, care tips and how to blow and curl my hair. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for something not like a crazy outrageous hairstyle. I was so nervous going in to have my hair done, especially during COVID. However, I am so pleased with my whole experience that I genuinely have nothing bad to say. The salon was clean, professional, on time and ready with many precautionary measures in place for the pandemic (masks, surveys, temperature checks, more than enough space for proper distancing and partitions for when it's just not possible). Nicole C was amazing! She gave me the best cut I've ever had and I went back for a colour and have literally never loved my hair this much. The price is a bit steep for my wallet; however, the love I have for my look now more than makes up for it. Would I go again? Absolutely! Would I recommend it to my friends and family? I already have!

I’ve been a client for over 10 years. I’d like to comment on my experience returning to the salon post COVID. Nick and his team have always operated this salon with the utmost professionalism. After getting my haircut yesterday I must say they’ve taken this level of professionalism up a few notches. How they’re handling the customer experience under COVID restrictions is nothing short of outstanding. No part of my body at any time touched anything that wasn’t exclusively mine, or previously sanitized. That includes entering the salon and using a pen to sign a screener. In no place to date have I felt as safe and comfortable as I did on this day at this salon. Job well done Twin Image Team. The owner of this business called and threatened me if I did not take down my review. Nick left a threatening voicemail saying that if I did not take down this review buy 9am the next day he would contact my boss(whose I no longer work for) who he knows very well and "deal with me that way". He also said he had my phone number and would be calling again if I did not take down this review. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESSES! I'm extremely disappointed with Nick and his coustomer service. Completely cancelled my appointment and was told that I "wouldn't be accommodate". Tried to cancel an appointment with their automated booking system the day before, got a call the next day saying they hadn't been informed of the cancellation. Never once did my stylist inform me that they have a "mandatory " 48hr notice for cancellations. Over all Nick was very rude and the two receptionist were catty and had no idea what was happening. I came here on a recommendation and Nicole was great! I came in to get 2 week old haircut fixed up because original stylist (in West end, not from this salon) did not do a good job. Nicole was able to even it out and blend the front with the back. We both had a good chuckle at how lopsided it was and as I left I said I'd see her in April when it grows out! It was my first time here today and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. I was greeted warmly, I felt accommodated, respected and very much listened to. I was offered something to drink, something to read while I wait (which wasn't long even though I was early!) Tanisha took care of me today and she was an absolute sweetheart. She definitely knew my hair better than I do! She took every effort to make sure my hair looked its best (even though my hair has a rebellious nature). I have to say though, that my excellent experience happened even before I stepped one foot through the door. I had been going to my previous stylist for more than 20 years, but sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago. Right after that, I had been going to a "no-frills" place that did an OK job. I am so glad I found Terry and Twin Image. He understood what I was looking for from Day One, was able to recommend styling products and I've been very happy with my cuts with him. I'm also very impressed with how he runs his business - each station is spotless after the stylist is done with their client, everything is in its place, and I've never had to wait because the previous person was running late. It can be challenging to get an appointment, but that only speaks to their dedicated clientele! The scalp massage and warm towels are bonuses. Highly recommended.

There's a particular way I prefer to have it done, and yes, Nick did a very good job each time, always asking what I wanted in terms of slight differences. He was really quite attentive. But my haircut always took less than half an hour, and eventually I just couldn't afford to go there anymore.

If I could give a higher score I would. I went to the salon for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I needed a new hair stylist and thought based on reviews I would try this one as it was down my street. I am so happy I did. I can't recommend Jonathan enough. He didn't need a lot of details as to what I was looking for in terms of a cut and highlights and I love what he did. I've been getting my hair highlighted for almost 30 years and this is the best I've had. He even called me after to make sure I was happy!!! Top notch customer service and great salon atmosphere too. I found this place from an ad on Instagram as a new apprentice needed some hair models. As a student i of course went for it due to the discounted rate. Britney (@britneykats) did my hair and did an absolutely gorgeous job; better than where I had my hair done last year that I paid 300$ for. She was friendly, a good conversationalist and instantly put me at ease. I really appreciated that she went over the next few steps before she did them, and she was so gracious when I put my foot in my mouth and assumed she was right out /still in hair school. In fact she has 5 years of experience in hair and is apprenticing since she just moved to this salon. She's modest, patient with my incessant questions, gave hair/deep conditioning advice without product pushing, and really takes her time. I really admire that this salon starts everyone at a level 1 who joins and really emphasizes how important it is to keep learning and improving. They hold classes for their employees and emphasize teamwork so I highly doubt you'll get anyone with a big ego. Britney is taking bookings now and I highly recommend going with her; my hair was an absolute steal and I would have gladly paid full price! Before/After below

Hands down...one of the best hair experiences I've ever encountered. I am VERY picky with my hair and I find sometimes stylists just don't listen to what you want, they rather just do as they please as they know the trends and styles better. I got a wash, cut and style with Tammy from the Danforth location. She listened to what I wanted, provided some suggestions and gave me a bomb a$$ cut! She started off with a dry cut and as she was combing through my hair, I got a sense that she really got a good feel of how my hair would fall/style. She gave me a look that would make my hair look fuller, soft layers and framed my face the way I would want. She then washed my hair and actually put the effort into giving me a good wash. Sometimes stylists will just wash your hair and when you leave, you feel like you would need to wash it again; not with Tammy. And to top it off, she gave me an AMAZING head massage. Afterwards she gave me a blow out so I got to see what my style would look like straight...loved it. Then she used a curling iron to give me some waves and definition to my hair...loved that too! She took her time and wasn't rushed at all. On top of it all, she was just a very nice person to chat with. I've been following Twin Images on instagram for years and I am SO happy I made an appointment to go visit the salon and get a cut done by Tammy. I'd HIGHLY recommend the salon and especially Tammy to do your cut and style. The service of the other staff was also very warm and welcoming. I definitely plan on going again for my next cut!

Nicole has been cutting my hair for the past year now and I’m always happy with the cut and style. She changes it up a bit each time and I always love it! I also love the look and feel of the salon and can free parking around the corner.

This was my first ever visit at Twin Image and Katrina was wonderful! Her professionalism and transparency was what impressed me most. Well, that and my new look! This salon is going above and beyond to make their customers feel safe during the pandemic. Masks, sanitizing and health checks just to name the obvious. Katrina did a thorough hair history and discussion on what look I was going for. She gave a soothing head massage while shampooing my hair (truth be told, I could have left at this point a happy woman!) and then expertly cut my hair. I now feel like a million bucks. Katrina did a quick consultation for colour as well. She was happy to answer all of my questions. Thank you, Katrina, for my new do!

There is always a smile when I walk in the door, and I genuinely love my experience when I'm in the chair. THEY CANNED ME AS A CLIENT!!! I contacted nick with serious hair and scalp issues from my previous hairdresser burning my head to bits. I saw him every 4 weeks for root touch ups. I noticed after a few sessions that when i got home, my head would burn in certain areas and when I'd check, i realized that those spots were left completely unwashed. When I'd touch my hair in those spots, I'd have dark dye all over my fingers and I'd have to wash my hair again after the appointment. I told nick and he apologized but didn't fix the situation. So just recently they sent out an email to their customers requesting feedback, i gave positive feedback saying i would recommend them to my friends and family but that my scalp is having issues due to it not being washed properly. The next day i received an email from nick asking how my scalp/hair was etc. Before i could respond, he emailed me a second time and CANCELLED all of my future. He said that he didnt want to work on my hair anymore because of my scalp sensitivity. I emailed him back saying that my scalp was fine but it was just irritated in spots that weren't washed properly. He emailed me back, ignored my email to him, and proceeded to blame my scalp for being too sensitive and told me that neither he nor his products had anything to do with my issue. Hair dye shouldn't be left on your scalp for 6+ hours so when i left the salon, i left thinking my head was washed properly. He didn't rectify the situation at all but instead decided to can me as a client because of the unfavorable feedback. Very disappointed. I honestly thought he'd be more professional than this but I'm clearly wrong.

This is such a long overdue review, especially for Tammy. I've been coming here since last year to see Tammy for balayage and hair cut. After seeing what she's done to my sister's hair, I had to come and try it out myself. Tammy is always patient and delightful to chat with. She's such a sweet lady and I always feel very happy to see her. She would also let you know what is possible and not possible to do with your hair. If you're like me who comes in with black hair and asks to turn blonde immediately, Tammy would tell you what you would really get as a result. She would also carefully explain to you what she's doing and what the next step is. Very knowledgeable! I always leave here feeling fresh and joyful :)

I’ve been coming to Twin Image for 2 years now. I’ve had Nick do my hair two times. Nick was very kind and was very informative of how the procedure will go to colour my hair and gave me an amazing hair colour. I did my hair with Tammy the third time around and she was just as amazing! I showed her the colour I wanted and she took her time in explaining each step of how she would get me to the colour I wanted. She gave me the exact colour I wanted! Amazing service from both and I will be for sure going back!

I always love going to get my hair done at Twin Images, Sia is a wonderful hairdresser, she is attentive, polite and always gives me suggestions for my hair(when I go and don't know what I want). I find the entire staff to be very courteous. The ambiance of the salon is peaceful and serene. I know when I book an appointment with Sia she works only on me, I am not shoved in a corner until my hair dye is ready to be washed out. I have been to other salons that operate in this manner. It takes a lot for me to post a negative review about a business that I know has had a tough go of it during the pandemic BUT this was a next level of unprofessionalism. I booked a hair appointment for the week of my wedding (just for a cut and blowout) well in advance, and was unceremoniously told days beforehand that my appointment was simply cancelled because the stylist had decided to go on vacation. No offer was made to re-book my appointment or to get me in with someone else. I was told I could do that myself online, as if I was the one who had asked for the appointment to be changed. Never mind that there was no availability before my wedding that I could move into; I was just SOL at the last minute. I have frequented this salon as often as possible given provincial restrictions and have been a good customer, so to just be tossed aside at a big moment was really frustrating. I definitely won't be going back.
