The staff here are awesome and the prices are just unbeatable for the service you get. My stylist patiently cut my extra long hair into a short cut and was very attentive, asking a lot of questions to make sure it was to my liking. I will definitely return.

Just got my hair ombre'd here after checking out the great reviews and their instagram. What can I say, I'm totally blown away on how professional their service is (recommend to book an appointment in advance) and how they really know what they do for your hair. Diane, who did my ombre was so sweet and really did a wonderful job. I've already recommended to my friends who's asked where I got it done. Will come back soon.

I have had my hair cut a few times by Susan. I am not sure what she does but I always love the way my hair looks and feels after!!! The only down side is she gets booked pretty quick on Saturdays and I can understand why. I will just have to be proactive and book in advance. Thanks again!!!!!

Great cuts, super friendly service, and good prices. Susan has now styled my hair for the third time. The first time was as a walk in, and as usual I was nervous about a new stylist. I was soon put at ease. Susan listened to and discussed my needs and ideas .... and then did exactly as I had requested only with better results than I had anticipated. The other customers seem very pleased with the all of the stylists in the salon too, so I highly recommend the Skye Hair Salon!!

I needed my cut fixed and I was able to get in the same day I called (today) which is always a plus since I hate waiting. Kimmy cut my hair and did a great job. She was easy to talk to and friendly. The price was awesome compared to 60-100+ I've seen at some of the other salons. I will definitely be returning to this salon in the future.

I went to see Kimmy today to have my hair coloured. I was nervous as I have not been happy with the outcome of my hair for at least 3 years. Kimmy did a very thorough consultation which was extremely appreciated. I am a hair stylist myself which makes getting my hair done fairly difficult at times. When my hair colour was done and washed out and we sat back at the chair the colour was very ashy I was a little overwhelmed seeing it as that was not necessarily what I was looking for. That being said Kimmy fully understood there was no hesitation to ensure that I was 100% happy with my hair before I left the salon. She took me back to the sink fixed my hair all in less than 15 minutes brought me back to the chair and I was overjoyed. my hair look perfect and was exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend coming to absolutely anyone. Kimmy was very professional and compassionate. Thank you again Kimmy!!

She ended up with even shorter hair than she thought she was going for... Only because she really loved the cut. Daughter is happy which is awesome.. I thought she'd cry. Great place. I had a terrible experience today,customer service is the worst.I patiently waited for 30 minutes for my turn to come as I was told that my turn was next but another customer who had booked an appointment turned up and I was asked to wait for another 20 minutes, since they already knew of the appointment, I should have been informed accordingly in advance and I would have appreciated that.Time is precious and I regret wasting my time for nothing.

Ok, so I am writing this review because I found this place on Google maps and went in after reading the reviews. I was a first time visitor. I had an appointment, I think my hairdresser's name was Ashley, she did an absolutely very poor job, towards the end, customers got in and I kinda felt rushed, anyway... I really didn't bothered to tell her... I have noticed from while sitting in the chair that she had it all wrong. I was already so damn upset and frustrated. There's nothing I could have tell her, it's in your eyes, if you can't see it that I look like a stray dog with a fur desease loosing hair in spots, what else I could more say?! Went home, took a shower and I went to some other place to try to have it straightened up, any decent place was booked, I didn't wanted but I had to go same place, luckily there was a different girl there, her name was Kimmy, she offered to call Ashley, but I refused to have her again with scissors near my hair. So she tried her best, in the end was better than my previous visit, but definitely not what I was expected. So, it's your hair, but I know where I'll be taking mine next time. P.S. Charging your trimming machine having it down on the floor... It's not something customers would like to see.

I highly recommend Skye hair salon! Susan has given me yet again a fantastic haircut. I have been going here for a few years and have received excellent hair services, the haircuts, balayage, and threading have always made me feel more beautiful and confident. I have also had my hair done by Diane and have liked her work as well. I originally found Susan through a web search and great reviews like this, I went to her to rescue me from a butchered hair cut done at a different salon. She managed to even everything out and I looked significantly better after her help. I went to skye hair salon and had a horrible experience. I went there 2 years ago and the stylist did a really good job, so I decided to go back there again. I explained what I wanted and she said okay, it will be a process but we can get it done. When she finished my hair was was blonde from the roots and yellow at the tip. I informed her before hand I had colour, so although it may be a process I want it to look consistent and blended in. The colour was not blended at all, when I went home and tied my hair up, my family noticed that it wasn’t even dyed at the bottom, was still dark. I rebooked an appt for the following day. She fixed areas that weren’t dyed and blended it in. It looked good. The colour looked consistent. Two weeks later the colour washed out and my hair had multiple shades in it. Some areas were yellowish, others darker brown and even a patch was white. I called back and they said they can get me in for the following day. When I go in, I explained I understand that it’s a process before I get my hair to the ideal colour, but it shouldn’t have multiple shades in and the colour shouldn’t have washed out. One stylist was telling me to do a lighter brown for the time being and the other was insisting doing low lights and keeping the same colour. There was no consistency with what they were saying, and they kept making me feel as if it was my fault that the colour washed out. They “fixed” my hair to lowlights but did not blow dry or style it, said they were fixing it for the third time so they can’t do dry it since they are doing it for free. I paid 400 dollars already and they didn’t have five extra minutes to blow dry it so I could see how it looks. At the end I came home, blow dried my hair and I’m extremely unhappy with how it looks. It is not consistent and not blended in at all. Extremely upset with the service, would not recommend them. Response to owner: I did pay 400, if you check your records you will see I paid a 50 dollar deposit and then 350 first time you did my hair, equaling 400. I also understand you said it was a process, but for colour to wash away in 2 weeks is a bit strange considering the amount I paid. I was very excited to get my hair done, but when the colour washed out it was upsetting. My family and fiancée even noticed it. I have white light at my house, so it was very noticeable. When I told you that, you replied saying “stay outside” instead of admitting that my hair had multiple tones.

I found this salon when they agreed to squeeze me in one day even though they were fully booked and it was Christmas time... I think they could hear the desperation in my vouce, lol! That was 2 years ago and I haven't gone to another salon since! Diane is very talented and I can honestly say my hair has never looked better... I just recently got my hair done from a stylist Peewee(Kiwi), and I must say she's absolutely amazing!! I went into the salon and wanted a certain look, she gave me her honest professional opinion and so I went with it and let her take charge. During the whole process she made me feel at ease, and really took care of me. At the end of it all I absolutely loved my hair. I've had my hair dyed multiple times before, and every time I've done it, it's never been like this!!! I've had the best experience at Skye and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!!! I've had compliments everywhere I go, and let's face it... who doesn't like compliments? I've never written a review before but Kiwi deserves this one, she's my permanent heir stylist!! One more thing to add, we stayed past closing for 2 hours and she still trimmed AND styled it at no charge! Thanks Skye and your amazing stylist Kiwi:)

I went here to have my hair styled and they did a decent job of doing so. I have naturally curly and frizzy hair, and wanted some smooth loose curls done with some volume at the top. I was told the look I wanted can only be achieved if she straightens my hair first, then curls it after with a curler. This obviously made sense; however, NO HEAT PROTECTOR WAS USED. The style looked great; however, after I washed it my hair lost its bounce, had damaged looking ends, and my natural curly hair is now flat and looks terrible. The constant pulling and heat from the blow dryer straightening, then hair curler, then further touch ups from re-curling again with the hair curler, left my hair extremely damaged. I’ve had my hair curled before and this has never happened before. Even my deep conditioning treatments aren’t helping to fix this. She has ruined my hair’s original texture by not taking any care while styling it. I am very disappointed because as a hair stylist, they should know better. 2018-11-16 Heat protector was not used on my hair at all. Like I said, I’ve had my hair styled many times the same way and this has never happened. Like I said, heat protector and less tugging and pulling would have helped prevent the damage caused to my hair. I’m impressed that I was given a refund for the services provided; however, this won’t fix my hair. But I do thank the salon for doing that for trying to reach out. Bottom line, take this review into consideration if you have natural curly hair and want to have your hair styled here.

Horrible! Actually, the worst hair cut of my life. The girl that cut my hair seemed out of place compared to the other girls working there and socially awkward, my hair cut was badly done, and totally uneven. Made me look like a sonic hedgehog! The worst part was that I had no time to go home to shower and re-style my hair, and it's cut too short to go to another place to have it fixed. So I had to feel like I look strange all day and now I have to wait until it grows out long enough to have it corrected. Will NOT return!
