Strolled into the shop at 11am or something without any booking. The two girls up the front were very friendly and let me get a haircut without waiting. The one who cut my hair was nice to talk with and did a really great job! If I weren't leaving Vancouver soon I'd definitely be going back here.

I got my hair cut done here and Safuran did an absolutely amazing job. I was late but she still managed to accommodate me! Not to mention that my hair turned out great and she did a glorious job with layering and adding body to my hair by cutting a beautiful, textured bob. I can’t believe she’s a junior artist because the work she does is far beyond what you pay for. Definitely cutting my hair here whenever I come to Vancouver.

I’ve been a client of Nicole G since 2018, when she did my make-up for prom! But I messaged her for a last-minute balayage appointment and she got me in the next week! Nicole works quickly (the entire appointment took ~3.5 hours) and has an amazing personality. We talked like old friends ???? I have long and dark hair with a previous balayage that needed to be retoned — Nicole matched the colour I wanted and made sure it highlighted my face. Will definitely visit her again when I’m in Vancouver!

Horrible. I told a stylist that Italian lady that don't cut more than 1 inch but she cutted my hair shorter than it. When i tied hair, some hair fall from side. I hate it. It will take 6 month to grow! I will never come back to this salon ever.

On The Fringe has been my salon of choice for over ten years. As someone with fine, naturally curly hair (notoriously difficult to style), a stylist who can give me a cut that won't look ridiculous two weeks later is a treasure. Amanda's a Super Stylist (with a cape and everything!) and her colour is always spot-on. She's also very patient with me when I bring in pictures of cool hair styles that I wish I could have, but don't have the hair for. I've never encountered attitude at OTF – everyone's always been kind and cheerful. And my hair always looks magazine-ready fantastic afterwards. THANK YOU to Amanda, Shannon and the rest of the team!

Another hair stylist gave me an unintended short bobbed mohawk and Fringe was able to book me in on a same day appointment. Michelle SAVED MY LIFE (yes my life am I right ladies?)... she blended my choppy layers so seamlessly that there is now no trace of the trauma that I just endured a couple days prior. I simply never left the salon feeling “wow” about my hair. Perhaps I should have tried a different stylist instead of going to the same one consistently. For the price I pay, I expect more. I regret tipping over 20% on hundreds of dollars to still feel unimpressed when I leave.

Before the pandemic Michelle fixed a mess another salon did to me - I was happy with what she did to salvage it (it was bad and she helped a lot without making it shorter <3)! I'm back in Vancouver now for school since it is no longer online so decided to book here again. I couldn't remember Michelle's name so booked under Safuran. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and told her this (I came in with it straightened). I am so happy with how she layered it!! I love how my hair is sitting and cannot believe a stylist not specialized in curls helped me out this much! I have no idea what she did differently from other stylists I've had in the past but how she cut in those layers is really flattering with my hair texture. Its been a long long long time since I've been this happy with my hair. Both Michelle and Safuran were easy to talk to and I enjoyed my time in their chair. I'm naturally introverted and sometimes conversations in salons are awkward but both of these ladies were "normal" if that makes sense. If it was quiet they didn't force it. If you have wavy/loose curls please give Safuran a try - its not a "curly haircut" as she cuts it wet but it'll look nice straightened too :D
