This is the second time I've seen Kaylan, to get my hair dyed dark.. She's AH-MAzing!! She takes the time to figure out exactly what you want, makes sure you love it. Super friendly, I can't say enough positive things about her! ... I've always been super nervous to dye my hair, how it'll turn out etc. But she puts that at ease, I'll always go back to her! And the prices are very very good! Thanks for such gorgeous hair Kaylan!! ????????

A week and a half ago my daughter went to Cherish Hair Salon in Sherwood Park to get her hair done. She has black hair and wanted to ombré it to silver. She knew the stylist there and had conversations with her about achieving this goal. She also went in a few days prior for a consultation, at which point she was told that for approximately $300-$350 she could achieve her goal. Her boyfriend and I pitched in $250 of that as a Christmas gift. They didn't do a test strand, after saying they would and after bleaching her hair, it was orange. The stylist then told her that if they bleached it again she was confident that my daughter would reach her goal, but it would cost more money. She agreed and texted me asking to borrow another $100. After bleaching her hair AGAIN in the same day, her hair was no where near her goal. The stylist then told her that she could fix it, but again it would cost more money. Again I received a text asking for another $100. The stylist then added a toner to her hair & when all was said and done, after over 7 hours there and for $550 she walked out of there with GREEN hair! When she came home she was understandably devastated. The following day she went back and told them she wanted her money back. The manager told her that it's not their policy to refund but if she came back in 2 weeks they would fix it, for a cost. My daughter and her friend were treated horribly, laughed at & pointed at by the stylists, and treated like idiots. The manager begrudgingly gave my daughter a shampoo to wash the toner out, however that just turned her hair orange for a day or two and then it was back to green! The following day I called the manager and had a lengthy conversation with her, at which point she said she would refund me half of the cost. I went in to pick up the money, as it was obviously all we were going to get back and was told that my daughter was told that her hair would be green and she was ok with that... are you kidding me??!! Do I really look that stupid??!! This manager told me that she stands behind what her stylist did. However the fact that they took advantage of a young girl, charged her $550 and let her walk out of their salon with obvious green hair makes me want to vomit! And their only solution to fixing the terrible mess they made was to charge her more at a later date??!! Do not get your hair done here!! This place is a joke. The manager is rude, has no respect for clients, I mean really, she let her walk out with GREEN hair!! She obviously doesn't understand that in Customer Service what matters is the customer and the quality of service! Plus you will be charged senior stylist rates for a junior stylist, who obviously doesn't know what she is doing!!

Had the worst hair experience of my life here. Two years later and my hair still hasn’t fully recovered. The girl who sheared me obviously lacked proper training and knowledge in bleaching hair. Subsequently, I had incredibly terrible breakage, down to 1 inch on the top of my head. Since then, I have told the story of what happened here to numerous hairstylists, every single one has been horrified that they used bleach and the heat lamp on my hair repeatedly. When I show them the pictures, they are speechless. I didn’t know that heat and bleach was a bad combination? I’m a consumer, not a hair stylist. Staff should be properly trained and I definitely would not recommend going here for anything relating to bleach.

Karis is the absolute best!! She is always able to make my hair look better than what I even had in mind! I can go for months without getting my hair coloured (blondish) but once she is done with my hair you would never be able to tell at all (no banding!) She is also the most friendliest, sweetest girl ever! She is very easy to talk to and is a very good listener, she makes me feel good inside and look great outside. Going to Cherish to get my hair done by Karis is honestly like a therapeutic makeover! If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I definitely would!!!

Okay where do I seriously start, The salon itself if open, inviting, Pinterest salon! Crystal put her heart into this salon and it shows with every detail from the reclaimed wood on the front desk to the adorable revamped door stations. The staff is unreal, Lyndsey is the salon coordinator she always looks after me even if I need to change my appointment a hundred times ???????? I get my hair cut and colored by crystal and it’s flawless every time exactly what I wanted! Adrianna has also done my hair and to perfection I might add!! She is always so stylish and up to date on all the newest trends!! I haven’t seen the other stylists but I have sat and watched the magic happen in each and every chair and would be happy with any of the stylists! Everyone takes such great care of you and the entire place is just so comfortable to be in, I am so happy to have found my forever salon! Thank you ladies for always taking such amazing care of me !! ????????

Me and my friends often joke during stressful weeks how we should get a hair cut just to get a scalp massage from Asia. She is absolutely incredible. Cherish is an amazing Salon! I’ve had two stylists going here- Delaney who did an amazing job for my long hair, and when I wanted to go short Karis was fantastic! Both of these ladies are wonderful and very talented! A big deal for me is that they have comfortable styling chairs. I have back issues, but sitting in their chairs give me no issues! Please make this your salon when COVID restrictions ease up! You won’t regret it!

I've been using Cherish Hair Design since 2016. All of the staff at Cherish are absolutely amazing and your every need is looked after from the moment you walk in the door. Although I was very sad to see my previous hairdresser move on, I am extremely pleased with Cherish's up and coming stylist Rayen. I started going here a few months ago and Adrianna is one of the best hair stylists I've ever had!! She does my blonde perfect and cuts my hair without taking too much off so I dont feeling traumatized when I leave ???? Plus she's super friendly and easy to talk to through the endless hours of bleach and foils. I'd recommend her or this place to anyone.

I was very excited to get my hair coloured and treat myself for the first time in 18 years. I made an appointment online, I detailed what I wanted, and let them know I was open to change anything that needed to be changed. The salon called me back and they were very nice. They had me come in for a consultation earlier than I had intended and then booked my appointment for a later date. I had my consultation today and it was the second most awful and uncomfortable experience of my entire life. The stylist who I had chose, first awkwardly watched me put hand sanitizer on my hands. She stood there staring at my hands in silence as I rubbed the sanitizer into my hands. It was definitely an awkward silence. At this point she hadn't introduced herself, and I didn't even know she was my stylist. She was so awkward I thought she must be the front end person. she took me over to the seat, and I sat down. And then she kind of gestured as if I should know what that means. It was then that I clued in that this is the stylist I had a consultation with. the girl was so nervous she wouldn't stop wringing her hands or holding them against her stomach, and she sounded and looked like she was about to burst into tears at any moment. Maybe she was going through something, maybe she was on drugs, or maybe she just has absolutely no social interaction skills, but she made me so uncomfortable being there that all I wanted to do was leave. I told her what I wanted even though she already should have known what I wanted because they called me to rearrange everything after I had booked online. So aside from being awkward and uncomfortable, she didn't even have confidence to ask me about the specific colours that I wanted in my hair. so, being the type of person who very rarely spoils myself, I have no hair experience of my own so I asked her her opinion. She refused to give me her opinion.I kept asking in her opinion what she thinks would be the best thing to do or maybe trying to leave it up to her creativity, because I'm very open and adaptable and I realize that what I want doesn't necessarily have to be what I can get done so I wanted her expertise. She demonstrated that she does not have expertise. she did brush her fingers through my hair, and didn't seem to care that she was just yanking on the knots that are in it because it's naturally curly. And I don't know if maybe my hair is damaged? She just repeated the fact that what I asked for would maybe damage my hair but she would give no further opinion on if I should do it or if my hair seems like it would be damaged from it or if it's already damaged. I just don't know these things. She almost seemed repulsed by me or my hair. So then she brought up price as a possible deciding factor for me, but she didn't even know the prices of what she offers. She had to go look them up. When she came back I asked her if she's new and she replied no, she had been cutting hair for 5 years. I told her she seemed nervous, and she was just more awkward and said "you know, consultations" ???? What does that mean? I've been to a lot of consultations in my life and I feel like I've left confident in my decisions, not weirded out and unsure of what's going to be going on with my future appointment. I felt so gross and uncomfortable after I left I couldn't fathom spending another second with that person so I canceled my appointment. I was really excited to do something nice for myself and my experience at this salon ruined that entirely. I don't even want to attempt finding somewhere else because this was just so weird. So, maybe the girl is good, who knows, but she had zero social skills and made me feel awkward and unwelcome and gross. Her name is Delayne, I believe, though I may have spelled it wrong.

I would like to throw a huge shout out to Delayne for doing my hair last Saturday! She did an AMAZING job and i have had so any compliments on it. I have a lot of hair and haven't had the best of luck in the past with hairdressers but this experience is at #1 for best experience, i was so impressed with how it turned out! Karis kills it every time! It's taken me 4 years to find a good quality stylist and she is hands down the best. She actually listens to you and is so personable, she talks through her plan with you and makes sure that both of you are on the same page before she starts doing your hair. She is truly skilled at her craft and you can tell she loves her job! My hair comes out perfect every time! The salon is clean, the staff always greet you warmly and are attentive from the start. Started going to Cherish during covid and found Karis online through their website. As an establishment Cherish is always clean, with professional friendly staff and an inviting environment. I found Karis through the staff profiles and looking at her Instagram page and haven’t looked back. She is always on time, super friendly and most importantly a master at what she does. She is never rushed and always meticulous with her cuts which I find important having a bob with sharp edges. I always leave with a natural color I love and never regret the money spent.

The salon is nicely equipped. The staff are pleasantly nice. All of the other stylists were booked a month in advance when I called. Tiara had plenty of openings. I have only had master stylists work on my hair and was told Tiara was a Master Stylist. I've been getting my hair faithfully coloured for 20 years. IF Tiara is a master stylist, she is by FAR the worst master stylist I have ever had. Her work was like an apprentice. Honestly, I don't think this is the job for her. She made statements like "Flat irons are sooooo bad for your hair" "I won't dye my own hair right now because I want it 100% natural" "Anything over 10%volume (to darken hair only) is sooooo hard on your hair and I don't like to use it". She asked me what styling products she should use to do my hair. She also used thinning shears on my long locks....because I wore my hair straight! It looks hideous. Overall, she's a complete basketcase and needs to check herself in. What a total psycho. Good riddance.

I called Cherish hair design inquiring about cold fusion hair extensions. I already have them, but I wanted to know about getting them 'bumped up once my hair grows out. The girl I currently go to is an hours drive away, so I was looking at somewhere closer. The girl that answered the phone was very uneducated. She told me they were unable to use the hair again, and I'd have to replace it every time! Which would be around $1000/ every 8 or so weeks!!!! I know this isn't true because the girl I currently see does not make me buy new hair every time. I couldn't believe the lack of knowledge and the fact they'd try to get that kind of money out of someone! I didn't even step foot in this establishment and I NEVER WILL!!!!

I have short (angled bob) and fine hair…Karis has spent the time trying to understand what I want…went as far as to contact my previous stylist so maybe they could figure it out as well as she suggested a way to cut the back to remove the little “tail” that always seems to show its face at the back Lol. All in all I give Karis 5/5. She’s personable, sweet, professional , confident and above all, genuine! When I leave her, I feel like I was always heard and that she has my best interests in mind. I went to this salon for the first time because I could not get in to my usual place in time for a retirement function. The young lady that cut my hair looked 12. I went in with a picture and the stylist seemed confident in what I was asking. Well this was the worst uneven chunky cut I have ever had in my life !! It has taken my stylist 2 extra haircuts to get a cimetrical style happening. She had to cut it shorter than I wished to fix the mess I had. You would think that a salon inviting someone in for the first time would strive to give you a stylist that knows what they are doing in order to build clientele. This was not the case here. I will never be back again
